There’s nothing funny about this one. Tracy Morgan was being honored at a Sundance Film Festival event yesterday when sources say he was acting extremely intoxicated. The comedian ended up FALLING OUT after the event, but his rep says he had nothing to drink and blames it on the altitude. According to TMZ reports : Tracy Morgan was rushed to a hospital at the Sundance Film Festival — after the actor fell unconscious at an award ceremony … TMZ has learned. Tracy was being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, Utah — and sources tell TMZ, he appeared extremely intoxicated during his award acceptance speech. We’re told Tracy was escorted out of the building soon after his speech — and fell unconscious outside the building. Law enforcement sources tell us, an ambulance was then dispatched to Tracy’s location. We’re told Tracy was picked up and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Amy Roberts, a spokeswoman for Park City Medical Center, tells TMZ no drugs or alcohol were found in Tracy’s system upon medical evaluation. Morgan’s rep, Lewis Kay, also released a statement saying, “From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention.” Kay adds, “He is with his fiancée and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100% false.” Tracy make sure you keep rested! It might sound crazy but altitude really can have some crazy effects on folks. More On Bossip! ‘Everybody felt what I was saying and was riding,’ former Murder Inc. boss says about October ‘RapFix Live’ appearance. By Rob Markman Irv Gotti Photo: MTV News No matter if he was producing hits for Jay-Z or J.Lo or running Murder, Inc Records, Irv Gotti always approached the game with passion. Gotti brought that same love to MTV’s “RapFix Live” in October when he essentially campaigned to become Def Jam’s next president . “It caused a buzz, and I want people to know I didn’t start the whole ‘Irv Gotti for president’ thing; the people did,” the former Def Jam A&R told MTV News as he walked the red carpet at the reopening of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan last week. “It was a crazy thing, and it was all good.” Gotti has a storied relationship with the groundbreaking rap label. After he produced “Can I Live” from Hov’s 1996 debut, Reasonable Doubt, Irv helped set up a deal between Jay’s Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam. Next, Gotti coaxed DMX to the powerhouse label and then Ja Rule. In 2005, the federal government charged Gotti’s Murder Inc. label with money laundering, and even though Irv was cleared of the charges , his relationship with Def Jam soured. Back in October, Irv made his pitch to return to the record company in a very big way. “If you don’t want to hire me — the best man for the job, the man who will die for it — cool, I understand. You think I’m Suge Knight, you think the feds may come in here again if you hire me, cool,” he said at the time. “Put somebody in there, because you not giving any sign or any indication that you care about my culture.” A number of artists and industry mainstays spoke out in support of Irv, while others quietly championed him behind the scenes. “It was one of the best ‘RapFix’ [interviews] ever,” Jadakiss told MTV News in November. “He said a lot of stuff that doesn’t get said. He was able to [vent] without hating on the record labels or channeling any hate. … Everything he said — me being on the inside looking out and him being on the inside looking out but now on the outside looking in — I think he nailed every point. I think everything he said was excellent, and almost everything was true.” It doesn’t seem like Def Jam brass will put Irv in the big chair, but Gotti is appreciative of the support he has gotten from the hip-hop community. “Everybody was riding. SMH at her nickname being “BamBam”: Meet Savannah “Bambam” Rios, accused testicle puncher.The Utah woman, 24, is facing several felony charges–kidnapping, robbery, sexual abuse–after a bizarre attack last week on a man she recently dated. Rios allegedly confronted the man last Wednesday after he accused her of swiping some of his belongings. The victim told police that he went to meet with Rios at a Salt Lake City residence, where he “was lead to a back backroom” where she was seated on the bed. The male victim–identified only by the initials “G.A.”–said that Rios slapped him several times, pulled out a knife, and asked him, “You wanna die?” According to a probable cause affidavit, Rios ordered “G.A.” to remove his clothes. After he complied, Rios grabbed the man’s belt and “wrapped it around her hand, and hit him several times in the ‘balls.’” After pleading for his life, the man told cops, Rios allowed him to get dressed. She then directed him to drive to his home, where she allegedly forced him to give her a DVD player, camera, and phones. On the way to the residence, Rios stabbed at “G.A” with the knife, police charged. While at the man’s home, Rios “observed a bank statement…and ordered him to the bank.” The victim, who withdrew $500 from his account, subsequently escaped and “ran for help at a nearby police station.” Rios, who was still in the vehicle when cops arrived, was arrested at the scene and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail. A judge on Thursday ordered a man charged in the 2008 Chicago slayings of Jennifer Hudson’s mother and two other family members to stand trial in April, despite the objections of his attorney, who said she was not ready. After listening to William Balfour’s attorney say she’s still building her case, a clearly exasperated Cook County Judge William Charles Burns said it didn’t appear she was making any progress and set a date. Burns, who suggested he wanted to start the trial next month, instead ordered jury selection to start April 9 and testimony to begin April 23. He said he expected the trial to last about three or four weeks. Amy Thompson, a deputy public defender, said despite working 12 to 14 hours a day on the case, she could not answer that she was ready for trial, as prosecutors had done. “We’re not prepared for trial at this time,” she said. Balfour, 30, is the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister, Julia Hudson. He is charged with first-degree murder in the October 2008 slayings of the Hudson sisters’ mother, Darnell Donerson, their brother, Jason Hudson, and Julia Hudson’s 7-year-old son, Julian King. Prosecutors allege that Balfour, using a gun he stole from Jason Hudson, shot the three in a jealous rage because he was angry that Julia Hudson had been dating another man. He is accused of shooting Donerson and Jason Hudson in their South Side home, and then grabbing the boy and shooting him inside Jason Hudson’s SUV. The boy’s body was found three days later in the vehicle on the city’s West Side. We hope they lock this muhfugga up and throw away the key. Source More On Bossip! Former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, the all-time Division I leader in wins, and who resigned amid the university’s child molestation scandal just months ago, is reportedly near death due to complications from lung cancer. On Saturday, as friends and family were being summoned to State College, Pa., Hospital, a family spokesman said the coach had taken a turn for the worse. Penn State student website Onward State reported that PSU team members were notified of Paterno’s passing via email. However, a Paterno family spokesperson denied the report and his son tweeted that his father “continues to fight.” Known for his “success with honor” motto, thick glasses, rolled-up pants and black cleats, Paterno left an indelible mark on Penn State and college football in general. Joe, 85, has five children with wife Sue and 17 grandchidlren. A Brooklyn native and Brown University graduate, Paterno began coaching the Nittany Lions in 1966 and his tenure stretched to October of this year. In his 46 years as head coach, Paterno holds the all-time Division I record for football coaching wins with a 409-136-3 record and two national titles. After a highly celebrated career and iconic status, Paterno’s career as coach ended as a result of a scandal involving former assistant Jerry Sandusky . Sandusky allegedly sexually assaulted young boys, including a 10-year-old. Paterno was fired over his handling (or lack of handling) of the scandal. Announcing his retirement, he said, “This is a tragedy. It is one of the great sorrows of my life. With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had done more.” “I’m sick about it. I didn’t know exactly how to handle it, and I was afraid to do something that might jeopardize what the university procedure was.” “So I backed away and turned it over to some other people, people I thought would have a little more expertise than I did. It didn’t work out that way.” In November, he was diagnosed with lung cancer and his health rapidly deteriorated. Though the scandal sullied Paterno’s image in his final days, the coach enjoyed decades of success and reverence on the campus he and his wife helped build. That’s not likely to change anytime soon.

A military official told CNN that at least 156 people were dead and feared the number would rise. “The hospitals are not equipped to deal with the influx and severity of the injuries, so we are expecting that figure to go up further,” the official said. Nwankpa Nwankpa, a Red Cross information officer in the capital, Abuja, said 50 people were injured in the attacks. He said that search and rescue operations are underway and volunteers are working to assist the injured. The attacks targeted several police stations, barracks and the building housing the assistant inspector general of police in Kano, Nigeria’s second largest city. A passport office, state security headquarters and the immigration office were also hit, police said. This probably will not bode well for Nigeria’s foreign relations as an militant Islamic group has proudly taken responsibility for the death’s of the countries citizens. Islamist group Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the blast in a phone call to the Daily Trust, according to journalists at the newspaper. Nigeria closed its borders Saturday with Cameroon and Niger, whom it has accused of allowing the militants to move freely into Nigeria. …In December, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in four northern states. The declaration followed a series of Christmas Day attacks on Christian churches blamed on the Boko Haram group. The man suspected of masterminding those attacks, named Kabiru Sokoto, was briefly captured this week before escaping police custody while being transferred to another prison. Several police officers and the local commissioner are under investigation over his escape.
