People’s Choice Awards Face-Off: Demi Lovato vs. Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens introduced Demi Lovato at the People’s Choice Awards last night, prior to the singing coming out and underwhelming us with a performance of “Give Your Heart a Break.” So it’s only appropriate that these two are linked here, in the latest edition of a THG Fashion Face-Off. Both stars chose a dress for the event that highlighted a certain section of their bodies; for Demi it was the chest region; for Vanessa, the back. Do you prefer one style over another? Did Lovato go too far with her cleavage accentuation? Which look do you like best? Decide now.

Josh Hutcherson Has Seen ‘A Good Little Bit’ Of ‘Hunger Games’

“The music is insane … It’s coming together great,” actor tells MTV News at People’s Choice Awards. By Kara Warner Josh Hutcherson Photo: MTV News It’s hard to contain our excitement for “The Hunger Games,” and although we still have more than two months to wait until its release in theaters, our anxiousness is alleviated whenever we have the opportunity to speak with one of the film’s stars. At Wednesday night’s (January 11) People’s Choice Awards, MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with presenter Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark. He revealed that he has actually seen some of the finished film via his Automated Dialogue Recording sessions (wherein actors re-record certain sections of dialogue in order to improve the quality of the audio). “I did ADR yesterday, actually. I saw a good little bit of the film yesterday; it looks good,” he assured. “I’m really excited. The music is insane. The sound design, the editing, everything is amazing. It’s coming together great.” Hutcherson said the first scene of competition in the actual Hunger Games — which, for those unfamiliar with the bestselling book upon which the movie is based, is a fight to the death among children — is going to blow people’s minds in the best way possible. “The scene with the cornucopia, where we all first rush in to get the weapons and whatnot, the way [director Gary Ross] has that scored and cut looks so amazing,” he shared. “I can’t wait for people to see it.” Hutcherson added that, despite the film’s PG-13 rating, Ross hasn’t watered down the brutality and bloodshed from Suzanne Collins’ book. Regarding how the flick gets around showing all the gore, Hutcherson teased, “Gary Ross does it. I can’t give it away, but he does it. It’s a little trick. It looks great, and it still has the brutality that the book had, while being PG-13.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Hunger Games.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Kanye West’s Ex Amber Rose: ‘I’m Sick Of Being Bullied’

Model, who just released ‘Fame’ single, says on ‘RapFix Live,’ ‘To be bullied through music … it’s not fair to me.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Amber Rose on “RapFix Live” Photo: Natasha Chandel/ MTV News Amber Rose is done with the drama! On Tuesday On Tuesday the stately model crossed over into artist mode when she released her new pop single “Fame” online, then she showed off some acting chops when she dropped the trailer for her upcoming film “Gang of Roses 2” just a few hours later. Unfortunately for Amber, her new endeavors aren’t the only things that have people talking. Her relationship with Kanye West still comes under much scrutiny even though the pair has been broken up for a number of years. On Wednesday’s (January 11) episode of “RapFix Live,” Rose took to the red couch to address all of the rumors regarding her and Kanye for the last time. Things got so emotional that she eventually broke into tears. “Today on your show, I just want to let it be known that I am so done with the Kanye questions,” she told Sway. “That’s my past, I’m done with it. “I’m done, I’m moving on with a new career. I’m in love with Wiz. I’m happy. I just want to move on with my life, and we can get everything out right now and then I’m done.” Amber is currently in a relationship with Wiz Khalifa , but her past romance with West still comes up in headlines. Whether it was on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , where many of the songs seemed to be directed at Rose, or the Throne’s November Philadelphia concert where Yeezy thanked Amber’s native city for making her, the two former lovers are still constantly linked. Rose made it clear that she is happily in love with Wiz. “I’m so happy now that I actually have a gentleman, a great guy that I love so much,” she said of Khalifa . “Wiz knows that I never loved a man the way that I love him. He knows that, he’s very secure with that.” Still, after her very public breakup with West, there is lingering pain when Rose is mistreated by people in public. “I have people throwing things at me in the street because they’re fans of Kanye,” Amber said before she started to cry on set. “I’m just crying because I don’t deserve to be bullied like that. I’m a nice girl, I don’t bother anybody. I keep my mouth shut because I don’t want any trouble.” Putting all of the drama behind her was step one. Now, Amber looks to focus on her music career and acting career. She is currently working on her debut album and the film “Gang of Roses 2,” which will be released on February 14. “To be bullied through music and stuff like that, it’s not fair to me,” Rose continued while sobbing. “I don’t deserve that, and I’m sick of being bullied.” What do you think of Amber Rose’s tearful revelation? Kelly Clarkson To Sing National Anthem At Super Bowl

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert scheduled to perform ‘America The Beautiful.’ By James Dinh Kelly Clarkson Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images Kelly Clarkson will trail the footsteps of a string of big-voiced divas before her when she kicks off Super Bowl XLVI belting out the national anthem, according to The Associated Press. The announcement was expected to be made later this month, but a source close to the AP broke the news on Wednesday night (January 11). Country couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are also set to serve as entertainment when they perform “America The Beautiful” during the pre-game rounds. And, of course, Madonna will make her much-talked-about comeback when she rocks Lucas Oil Stadium as the championship game’s halftime show performer. The pop queen, who just announced the title of her 12th studio album, M.D.N.A. , will perform her new single “Gimme all Your Luvin” in a performance that will be “imagined” by Cirque du Soleil and her longtime creative director Jamie King. Clarkson is no stranger to national TV exposure. Just this past weekend, the pop songstress wrapped up another big gig as musical guest for “Saturday Night Live.” Marking her third appearance on the iconic sketch comedy show, the singer performed her new hits “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and “Mr. Know It All.” MTV News caught up with the original “American Idol” champion, who gushed about the “SNL” cast. “It’s a fun environment. You don’t feel like you’re working,” she admitted. “This is like a family place. Everybody here is nice to people who aren’t famous. You know what I’m saying? They’re nice to my makeup artist, my hair guy … I hate people who are just nice to famous people. It bothers me. I want to kick ’em.” Are you excited to see Kelly perform the patriotic tune at this year’s Super Bowl? Tell us in the comments below.
