Rihanna Confirms Next Single ‘We Found Love’

Song title became a Twitter trend following Rihanna’s announcement. By Jocelyn Vena Rihanna Photo: Pascal Le Segretain/ Getty Images Rihanna was looking for love and it seems she found it, on her next single at least. As she gears up for the release of her sixth album later this year, the Loud singer has released the name of her next single. On Monday, Rihanna confirmed the name of the first single off her forthcoming album, tweeting , “NP: “WE FOUND LOVE.” Soon after she announced the name of the song, it became a Twitter trend, to which the singer responded , “We in dis bitch! … ‘We Found Love’ is trending WORLDWIDE…!” A rep for the singer confirmed to Rapup.com that the Calvin Harris-produced song will hit radio on October 11. Harris toured with Rihanna on a leg of her Loud outing earlier this summer. “Calvin is the perfect fit for the Loud tour. He is going to bring something unique and fun for the fans,” Rihanna said at the time, according to JustJared.com . Last week, Rihanna announced that her “GangstaR”-fied next album would be heavily influenced by club music, sharing on Twitter, “You KNOW how I been lovin Dubstep since Rated R .” Collaborators for the forthcoming project began dishing details on the LP months ago. Back in July, producer Verse Simmonds , who worked on Rihanna’s reggae-infused hit “Man Down,” talked to MTV News’ Mixtape Daily about the album’s progress. “From what I understand, she’s closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved, and I’m really excited about them as well,” Simmonds said. “They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts.” Simmonds admitted that he was “99.999 percent” sure that his Jugganauts’ contributions will make the final cut, adding that his tunes on the LP will not sound similar to “Man Down.” But Rihanna isn’t keeping all the magic to herself. She’s also set to appear on Coldplay’s next album, Mylo Xyloto , on the track “Princess of China.” “Well, her bit on our record is my favorite bit … when the song came out, it sort of asked for her to be on it. And I think at this point, we have nothing to lose, and so we’ve been trying some new things and trying to break down the perceived boundaries between different types of music,” Chris Martin explained. “Because from where we’re sitting, it seems like you can try and sound any way you like nowadays. You don’t have to be in a rock box or a hip-hop box or a pop box, and I think it’s fun when you embrace that idea.” Related Photos The Ultimate Rihanna Photo Gallery Related Artists Rihanna

Ashton Kutcher On ‘Two And A Half Men’: How’d He Do?

After Monday night debut, TV critics mostly agree Kutcher ‘fit in’ pretty well on Charlie Sheen’s old CBS sitcom. By Eric Ditzian Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher on “Two and a Half Men” Photo: CBS In the end, not much had changed. After the tiger blood and the smack talk and the recasting and the months of speculation, the first episode of the new season of “Two and a Half Men” ended like so many had before: with a rich dude bedding two ladies while Jon Cryer’s Alan sobbed himself to sleep. And that’s the real (and really kind of surprising) takeaway from Monday night’s premiere: nothing’s changed. Ashton Kutcher may have joined the cast , but the same collection of writers is still churning out jokes about threesomes, venereal diseases and flatulence. This sort of stuff, delivered in the guise of family-oriented primetime entertainment, either tickles your funny bone or it does not. Charlie Sheen’s absence, as strange as it is to say and as large as his character’s death loomed during the premiere, is almost beside the point. And that made Kutcher’s job all the easier as he slipped seamlessly into the familiar sitcom yuks. The morning after, TV critics are largely in agreement: The guy did pretty well. He hasn’t remade the show in his own outsize image, but that surely was never creator Chuck Lorre’s intention. Instead, Kutcher’s debut assured the pop-culture universe that “Two and a Half Men” will continue to thrive (the premiere drew an astonishing 27.7 million viewers ). Whether that’s a good thing or not, though, is a question on which not everyone agrees. The Character “Kutcher’s new character, Walden Schmidt, seems like a carefully drawn alternate universe caricature of Charlie Harper. Foremost that beard — something Charlie would never have had. The klutzy gentle persona. The utter cluelessness, about women or other people’s motives. He stumbles into good fortune without even knowing — his billion; the women at the bar who were charmed by his destitution and loyalty to his ex. Mostly, he appears loyal to one woman — the woman who ditched him (played a bit later by Judy Greer.)” — Verne Day, Newsday The Comparison “Kutcher’s performance was good, nearly as poker-faced fine as Sheen’s was. (Beware of the impending revisionism that Kutcher is superior to Sheen as a comic actor — Sheen really had a knack for this gig, and was a generous reactor to Cryer. Kutcher will probably prove just as skilled.)” — Ken Tucker, Entertainment Weekly The Long-Term “Is there as much humor to be mined from a goofy, well-endowed billionaire as there was from a not-as-wealthy jingle writer who seemed to satisfy women just as easily? Early indicators suggest no, seeing as the sitcom already and quickly played the ‘Look, He Accidentally Bedded Two Hotties At Once While Alan Lay Weeping and [BLEEP]ing’ card.” — Matt Webb Mitovich, TVLine.com The Final Word “Kutcher showed for years on ‘That ’70s Show’ that the multi-camera sitcom format is an arena he can thrive in, and he seemed fine in his half of the episode. He’s not going to transform ‘Men’ into a show I want to watch, but he fit in very well.” — Alan Sepinwall, HitFix.com Did you catch Ashton’s “Two and a Half Men” debut? LMFAO Strip Down For ‘Sexy And I Know It’ Video

‘You gotta have moves, whether it be in the bedroom [or] on the dance floor,’ Redfoo tells MTV News about just-released clip. By Jocelyn Vena LMFAO Photo: MTV News LMFAO shuffled their way through the “Party Rock” video, and now they’re hoping to make “the wiggle” the next national dance craze. The guys just dropped their video for “Sexy and I Know It,” and it features lots of metallic Speedos, NSFW wiggling and a few celeb cameos. Redfoo and Sky Blu enlisted the help of their usual Party Rock crew, as well as Simon Rex, Wilmer Valderrama and Ron Jeremy, as they dance their way through Venice Beach and a local bar proving they are sexy and they know it. The video was shot back in late August, and MTV News caught up with LMFAO in Los Angeles as they cast extras for the video. We wanted to know: Just what is sexy? “Sexy is confidence. It’s ‘I don’t care what other people think, but I want them to think I’m sexy at the same time,’ ” Redfoo explained. “It’s a Catch-22. I want to be seen. Sexy is you want attention and you gotta have moves. You gotta have moves, whether it be in the bedroom [or] on the dance floor — just the way you walk, the way you talk.” His party pal, Sky Blu, had this piece of advice for those hoping to prove their sexiness after checking out the clip: “You’ve got to cultivate sexy. Sexy is something that you’ve consciously or unconsciously throughout your life been working on. If you’re in the mirror doing a little helicopter after the shower, that’s sexy and I know it.” Like their previous clips, the video features lots of gyrating dance moves. “It has to become natural to the way you already move, the way you walk,” Redfoo said of their dancing skillz. “It’s the same smooth thang.” What did you think of the “Sexy and I Know It” video? Emma Watson Is ‘Surprisingly Regular,’ Nina Dobrev Says At Emmys

‘Vampire Diaries’ actress also calls ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’ co-star ‘impressive’ and ‘smart.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Nina Dobrev at the 2011 Emmys Nina Dobrev graced the Emmy red carpet, looking red hot in a body-hugging, fiery-hued gown. Dobrev’s career is also on fire these days. She just wrapped up work on the big-screen adaptation of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and gushed about her superstar pal and co-worker Emma Watson. “It was bittersweet, and we were all kind of sad to say bye,” Dobrev told MTV News on the Emmy red carpet Sunday (September 18) in L.A. “But we still keep in touch.” And she wasn’t lying: She was just hanging with some of her co-stars. It seems there are no wallflowers in this cast. “I saw Mae Whitman last night and Dylan McDermott, who is my dad, was there last night, and Em and I talk,” she shared. “She’s back in England going to Oxford, being all book smart.” So, what is the “Harry Potter” star like? “She’s so impressive,” Dobrev said. “She’s such a smart, smart young woman and surprisingly normal and cool and regular.” In addition to her move to the big screen, Dobrev’s also got the small screen to keep her busy. Her hit CW series “The Vampire Diaries” just kicked off its third season, and Dobrev revealed that things will get spicy. “The first episode just aired, and it was gritty, but at the same time, it felt like the beginning of our show,” she said. “It was a lot about the characters, the relationships, which we kind of started to fall back from. [Expect] a lot of love, a couple of new characters, and it’s going to be really exciting.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . The night’s hostess, “Glee” star Jane Lynch, opened the show with a musical number that featured “Star Trek” star Leonard Nimoy and a slew of other stars, like Randy Jackson and Jon Hamm, along with his “Mad Men” crew, singing about the glories of TV and the perils of awards shows. “I know this feels stupid and schlocky and already feels overly long,” Lynch joked in song. Lynch’s “Glee” alter ego Sue Sylvester, in her signature tracksuit, eventually made an appearance, and the hostess did something the show’s fans have been waiting for: She slushied Coach Sylvester. During the comedy portion of the night, “Modern Family” owned, starting with Julie Bowen beating out co-star Sofia Vergara for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. “I don’t know what I’m going to talk about in therapy now; I won something!” she joked. This morning Christina Elizabeth went on the Madd Hatta Morning Show to further discuss her relationship with Alica Keys husband Swizz Beatz. We took the liberty of chopping up some of the best parts of the interview for you to check out below. On allegations of being a fame whore and trying to get her music career started with this controversy: “Um, I did not intend for this to happen first of all. If would have been in this for…fame, I would’ve done it a long time ago.” Christina also took a moment to acknowledge and apologize for her role in the whole scandal: “I’ll will just put this out there, I don’t…we all make mistakes. We all…screw up somehow, and I do not condone this. I mean, this has happened to me plenty of times before. I’ve been cheated on, lied to, I been this, and that, and the other, and I mean when you’re hurt you do things that hurt other people. I’m sorry to say that and I know I was wrong, I’m not sayin’ I was right. I know I was wrong, and I do apologize.” In regards to how people would receive her music if she were to drop something now while the spotlight is on: “I think the industry is pushed by money, so if they see dollar signs they’re gonna go after it.” She also spoke on whether or not she has feelings for Swizzy still and would want to be with him. “No, I don’t think so, I don’t think so. Even at the age of 19 I wasn’t like ‘Oh, I’ma be with him. I saw the reality of it all I guess.” What you think of Christina? Do you buy her apology? Would you listen to her music after this? It’s November 13, 2010 and about 4:00pm. I’m sitting…

It’s November 13, 2010 and about 4:00pm. I’m sitting front row in the Norfolk, VA Scope with about 200 other people. I’m at Justin’s soundcheck and having one of the best times of my life. I got to watch Justin tell jokes, give my friend’s (@kaylabdollar) little brother girl advice, answer questions from the fans (I got to ask one), and most importantly, be himself. I had such a fun time that day, I’d pay for it again and again. It was only about 35 minutes long, but it was an experience I’ll never forget. Fast forward to December 14, 2010. I was getting ready to leave my house for an orthodontist appointment and just so happened to check my DMs on twitter. I had a new message from the head-person at  www.bieberfever.com   saying that I had won meet & greet tickets to the Greensboro, NC concert the very next day! I couldn’t believe it. No, this wasn’t real, I mean c’mon, I never won anything. I remember my jaw dropping to the floor and my sister and mom freaking out wanting to know what had happened. I told my sister that we were going to be meeting Justin the very next day! We were so excited. The next day, we left school early and drove about 4 hours to Greensboro. We hurried and got to the arena so we wouldn’t be late. When we got there though, we found out we needed our tickets to enter the m&g. We had bought our tickets from an online site and the guy wasn’t supposed to be meeting us with them for another hour! We started freaking out, what if we didn’t get them in time? We wouldn’t meet Justin. We tried talking to workers and everything, my mom called the guy and he said he would hurry and come up there. But the clock was ticking and the M&G was getting closer. Finally the guy got there and went to the ticket window to get our tickets, then his credit card wouldn’t work! That’s when my sister (@hollieimer) and I REALLY started freaking out. Almost everyone had already entered for the M&G and we were sure we were gonna miss it. While we were standing there, Dan Kanter came out to get some family or friends and we talked for a minute, he was super nice! We waited for a little bit longer and finally we got our tickets! We rushed over to the line and a worker had to walk us down saying we were the very last people allowed in! We waited in line for about 20 minutes and finally it was our turn! A security guy told us we had to take a picture with a group of 4 so we had to be in it with 2 girls we didn’t know, and we didn’t get to stand next to Justin, but it was fun! We talked for a second, hugged, and then it was over. Even though both of my experiences were short, they were so fun and gave me a glimpse into the kind of person Justin really is. So in January 2011, a few friends & I came up with the idea of  www.onelesslonelyprom.com , a site to get Justin to go with me to my senior prom on May 19, 2012 . After seeing him be himself, without the cameras & paparazzi for the little time I did, I wanted the chance to really get to know him. I wanted to know Justin Bieber, the teenager. Not Justin Bieber, the world-wide superstar. I’ve spent countless hours making videos and tweeting as many people possible to get the word out and make this even a possibility . Justin should be able to have a normal night, and I feel like I could give him that with this. With the way his lifestyle is now, he won’t have the chance to go to his high school Senior Prom. This would be a great opportunity for both of us, giving him his prom and giving me the chance of knowing him on a personal level. A lot of people have shot this dream of mine down, but I learned, from Justin himself, to Never Say Never. I’ve worked so hard to make this happen, and I’m no where near giving up. I have less than a year to get the word to Justin, and I haven’t spent a day where I haven’t done SOMETHING to get the word out a little more! -@1lesslonelyprom Hey Justin Bieber, come to prom with me?  Continue reading here: It’s November 13, 2010 and about 4:00pm.
