Ever see those pictures of Rih Rih on the beach and wish you were with her? Well, just go to Barbados and that could happen. Rihanna is using her enticing cakes to get the world to want to come visit Barbados. All of those pictures of her on the beach are making people want to visit, so the country is making her the new tourism ambassador. Here’s her take: “Barbados is a place like no other and one of the reasons for this is the spirit and national pride of our people. I want each and every visitor to this beautiful island to experience what makes this destination different from all others and that is the spirit and warmth of my fellow Barbadians.” You have to admit that Rih Rih has done a lot for the country’s appeal. Every time we see her prancing those cakes, we want to book a flight and catch her on the sand. Rihanna’s first act of duty is to bring her Loud tour there in August. As long as this means we’ll see more Rihanna in bikinis, we’re all for it.
Here are some pictures of Katie Holme’s alien loving ass for no reason other than posting a bitch who feel off the map after everyone in the world wanted to fuck her hot tits, even if it was just to shut her annoying character up on Dawson’s Creek, it still counts… I don’t understand Scientology, other than seeing it as an amazing scam created by a sci/fi writer who figured if he hooked people into believing in something, like it was a religion, they’d pay top dollar for a book he limits to the people who pay him millions per copy…It’s like a pyramid scheme where you buy more and more expensive books looking for salvation…until reaching the ultimate book, a few million dollars later…only to realize you’re just an insecure asshole who wasted a few million dollars….cuz rich people are crazy… But that doesn’t change the fact that bitch is in tight pants….what she does with her spare time doesn’t matter, but as far as I’m concerned, it’d be better spent masturbating on webcam for me…
‘If we devoted ourselves to preserving life rather than our bank accounts, we would all be richer for it,’ he tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian Thomas Ohlson Photo: MTV News We first met Thomas Ohlson during MTV’s “Diary of Facebook,” a 30-minute documentary that delved into the social-networking site’s effort to highlight users’ life-changing stories. In 2005, Ohlson was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a devastating disease that causes motor neurons to die, leading muscles to waste away while cognitive abilities remain unaffected. Confined to a wheelchair, unable to talk and despairing that his life no longer had purpose, he ended up creating a Facebook account and, in turn, new reasons to keep fighting. Though he can only type with two fingers, Ohlson has become an articulate ALS activist, sharing his experiences and becoming a public face of his disease. His courage in the face of unimaginable suffering was so affecting that we decided to visit Ohlson and his family at home for further insight into their remarkable situation. “I spend a lot of time thinking about how wonderful my life was only five short years ago — the dreams I had for myself and my family,” Ohlson told us. “Now, all gone. I have no real future and have impacted my family in ways that cause me great sorrow. … I want my family to remember me as the strong and proud father and husband I once was, not the disfigured and helpless creature that I have become. ALS is not only killing me, it is taking my loved ones with me — killing any semblance of a normal existence for them.” The brutal truth is that, not only is there no cure for ALS, there is not even a single treatment for it. “I feel like this is a bad joke,” he said. “How can almost every disease have some kind of treatment, but ALS have none?” When his young daughter found out her father could no longer speak, she cried for three days. Then she typed him a message on the computer he uses to communicate. “You can teach me things by putting things on the screen and you will always love me, so that’s OK with me,” she wrote. “So that’s all I need to have a good daddy just like you.” “I had an epiphany,” Ohlson said of that exchange. “Nobody wanted to see me die. And I realized in that moment I did not want to leave them.” Ohlson now hopes being open about his suffering will spur action, involvement and understanding about the disease. The key to surviving ALS, he explained, is remaining an active participant in life. Social-networking sites like Facebook, then, have been invaluable tools, allowing him virtually to step outside his confines and connect with the world around him. Anyone who wants further information or is interested in joining the fight can visit ALS Therapy Development Institute . “In a world where we can split the atom, send people into space and create life, no one should have to suffer,” he said. “If we devoted ourselves to preserving life rather than our bank accounts, we would all be richer for it.” At the same time that he suffers, Ohlson admits his affliction has given him a deeper understanding of what it means to be truly happy. “Stop always looking to the future for happiness and appreciate what you have right now,” he said. “Life is a gift to be both enjoyed and cherished. Enjoy every second, every minute and every day. Cherish your health and recognize how precarious it is. … And always remember: Success is not measured by the possessions you surround yourself with; rather it is measured by the people who choose to surround you.”
‘This season, my character has a lot more depth than the first season,’ Cudi tells MTV News of HBO show. By Rob Markman Kid Cudi Photo: MTV News Scott Kid Cudi Mescudi made his acting debut last year as party animal Domingo Brown on HBO’s “How to Make It In America.” While he was satisfied with his performance, this year, he aims to make strides. “This season, my character has a lot more depth than the first season, and one of the things that I really took seriously was preparing. I got an acting coach; I wanted to step it up,” Cudi told MTV News after filming a scene for season two. “With anything that I’m doing, I always want to take it to the next level — whether it’s music or acting.” The first step toward the G.O.O.D. Music rapper/singer’s acting growth was to review tape, similar to how professional athletes analyze game film. “One thing that I did, I studied the first season, I studied my performance. I knew that I was gonna get a lot more this season,” he said. “I wanted to deliver. I wanted to make the people at HBO happy. I wanted to make my management happy.” Cudi also kept his series co-stars in mind using Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk as motivation to get better. “I wanted to be able to step on the camera with cats like Victor and Bryan Greenberg, who are pros at this sh–, guys who have been doing it for years, and to be able to do a scene with those guys and maintain and really deliver with the focus. I really feel like I stepped it up a whole lot, and I’m excited to see it.” The budding thespian may have to wait a few more weeks to watch: As of now, the series is rumored to begin airing during the summer with no specific date announced yet. When season two does eventually air, fans can expect to see Cudi’s Domingo with an expanded role and a little more depth. “The biggest lesson I’ve learned, I guess, is just the focus part of it, transforming into this character,” he said. “First season, my character was in six out of eight episodes, and I kinda popped up and I was here and there, and my character was more perceived as the party guy. But I really did what I could with the first [season] without having many skills.” Are you looking forward to the return of “How to Make It in America”? Let us know in the comments! Jessica Chastain tells MTV News ‘hundreds’ of unusual moments unfolded while shooting the Terrence Malick film. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jessica Chastain Photo: MTV News Considering Terrence Malick has reportedly been working on his latest film, “The Tree of Life,” for nearly four decades, it stands to reason that there might be a lot of extra footage or plot lines that were left out of the theatrical cut of the film. MTV News caught up with lead actress Jessica Chastain recently to get her take on Malick’s process and we asked her how the film has evolved since they wrapped production. “I saw the film about a year ago,” Chastain told us. “I’ve seen it now four times, and I’m convinced that [Malick] added new stuff. I’m like, ‘You’re still tinkering with this.’ People are telling me I’m wrong,” she laughed. “Which kind of goes to show if you’ve seen it four times, you probably haven’t seen everything in it.” When asked to pinpoint specific scenes or moments that were special for her during filming but didn’t survive the final edit, Chastain recalled a random encounter with a butterfly. “Sometimes … when you’re shooting a moment, you think, ‘Aw, this is incredible,’ that happened a lot on ‘Tree of Life,’ ” she said, adding that the scene in which a butterfly lands on her hand was a total accident. “I could not believe that we captured that,” she said. “A butterfly has never before in my life landed on my hand, but in a Terrence Malick movie, he makes it happen.” Chastain went on to say that there were “hundreds” of unique moments like that on “Tree of Life,” including another animalistic encounter with baby birds that had fallen out of their nest. “There were these little baby birds on the grass and it was the boys and I looking at the birds,” she explained. “I thought it was so beautiful; also, the mother was up in the trees trying to figure out how to get her children back and I thought for sure, ‘Oh, this is going to make it in.’ ” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Tree of Life.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . That darn Tracy is at is again. Tracy Morgan had a stand-up show last Friday and went on a rant that didn’t go over quite well in the Gay and Lesbian community. Morgan said that there’s no way any woman could really be attracted to another woman, they’re just angry with other men. He went on to say that he’d stab his son if he came out and that if gay people can take a d*ck, they can take a joke. Of course, it was only a matter of time before the whole, entire world hated him for what he said. So, Tracy and his people went to damage control to send out this letter: I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context. Do you think Tracy crossed the line or is it just jokes? Speak on it.
They’re no denying it any longer: Delta Goodrem and Nick Jonas are totally a couple! The pair were spotted in Bali this week, attending a songwriting camp while on the Indonesian island, according to a People Magazine insider. “I have been so blessed,” Nick Tweeted Monday while posing for a photo with his 26-year old girlfriend. “So many great things happening.” Witnesses spotted Goodrem and Jonas getting a meal at The Beach Club at Sandy Bay on Nusa Lembongan, an island just off the coast of Bali. They are now back in the States. With Delta by his side, we’re guessing Nick doesn’t really care what Selena Gomez says about him .
‘I’m just so happy to be a part of this show, no matter what,’ the singer says about her new role on the program. By Jocelyn Vena Nicole Scherzinger Photo: MTV News Just days ago, official word came through that former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger would be sitting at the “X Factor” judges’ panel instead of U.K. pop star Cheryl Cole. The announcement came after much speculation and debate about who the fourth judge on the Fox talent show would be alongside Simon Cowell, fellow former “American Idol” panelist Paula Abdul and music-biz executive L.A. Reid. Scherzinger spoke to The Hollywood Reporter during her first tapings as an “X Factor” judge in New Jersey this week, commenting that she “tries not to read” all the stories surrounding her and Cole. As for whether she found it difficult transitioning from being one of the program’s co-hosts to a panelist, Scherzinger said, “Not at all. I’m just so happy to be a part of this show, no matter what … I was nervous. I’m much more comfortable onstage.” As for the woman she replaced as a judge, she called Cole “a lovely, beautiful girl.” Scherzinger went on to say that “L.A. is my idol,” and seemed enthusiastic about adapting the hit British show for American audiences. “[It’s] frickin’ wicked awesome,” she gushed. “It’s like a spaceship coming to America to give the people what they want.” Abdul also had kind words for Cole. “As I’ve said, she’s
