‘I’m just so happy to be a part of this show, no matter what,’ the singer says about her new role on the program. By Jocelyn Vena Nicole Scherzinger Photo: MTV News Just days ago, official word came through that former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger would be sitting at the “X Factor” judges’ panel instead of U.K. pop star Cheryl Cole. The announcement came after much speculation and debate about who the fourth judge on the Fox talent show would be alongside Simon Cowell, fellow former “American Idol” panelist Paula Abdul and music-biz executive L.A. Reid. Scherzinger spoke to The Hollywood Reporter during her first tapings as an “X Factor” judge in New Jersey this week, commenting that she “tries not to read” all the stories surrounding her and Cole. As for whether she found it difficult transitioning from being one of the program’s co-hosts to a panelist, Scherzinger said, “Not at all. I’m just so happy to be a part of this show, no matter what … I was nervous. I’m much more comfortable onstage.” As for the woman she replaced as a judge, she called Cole “a lovely, beautiful girl.” Scherzinger went on to say that “L.A. is my idol,” and seemed enthusiastic about adapting the hit British show for American audiences. “[It’s] frickin’ wicked awesome,” she gushed. “It’s like a spaceship coming to America to give the people what they want.” Abdul also had kind words for Cole. “As I’ve said, she’s
Weezy opens up to MTV News about ‘Nightmares of the Bottom’ track he’ll debut on Sunday’s ‘Unplugged.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Lil Wayne Photo: MTV News Few artists ever reach the heights Lil Wayne has, and for the Young Money captain, that is both a gift and a curse. And it’s a dilemma that Weezy tackles on “Nightmares of the Bottom,” a new track off the New Orleans lyricist’s upcoming album Tha Carter IV. After performing the track for the first time during the taping of his “MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged,” set to air Sunday on MTV, MTV2 and MTV.com, the self-proclaimed Martian broke down the song’s meaning. “I mean simply, sleeping at the top with nightmares of the bottom,” Wayne told MTV News’ Sway. “Everybody says it’s lonely at the top. It is lonely, so I dream, though, and the only thing I dream about is being down there with the people that ain’t lonely. Thank God I am alone.” With eight solo albums and more than 10 million records sold, Wayne has tasted too much success to see his stock dip, so for him, a fall back to earth is a definite fear, he admitted. “And that’s simply what it is: nightmares of the bottom,” he added before rapping the song’s lyrics: “Sleeping at the top/ Nightmares of the bottom/ Everybody wanna be fly, until you swat ’em.” “Lil Wayne Unplugged” features Tunechi performing acoustic versions of his already classic catalog and places Weezy in the same class as hip-hop luminaries Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill and LL Cool J, who also took the unplugged stage. “Lil Wayne is an amazing choice for Unplugged as he is at hip-hop’s forefront — leading a new generation of artists whose appeal spans across music genres and playlists,” Amy Doyle, MTV’s executive vice president of music and talent, said in a statement. “Lil Wayne’s skills, influence, and catalog are a powerful addition to the legacy of artists who have rocked the ‘Unplugged’ stage.” Don’t miss “MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged,” premiering Sunday, June 12, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV2, MTV and MTV.com.
I just posted picturs of LADY GAGA NIPPLE at some party….well it turns out she decided to put pasties on and pants off… The whole thing is a joke, Lady Gaga is the loud annoying, trash can of a person that you’ve seen at every party. It’s like the bitch who makes everything about them, whether pretending to be so drunk and passing out so people notice, or so drunk and dancing ont he table so people notice, or so drunk and running around naked so people notice, or so drunk and yelling craziness so people notice…. You know the person I mean… Everywhere they go, they have to do this whole spectacle, that the people around them are supposed to look at in awe of how fabulous they are, but instead look at them in embarrassmen…. It is just rude….it takes away from the people throwing the event that’s been going on a lot longer than Gaga’s been around…it alienates the people who can’t stand her act…. Bitch has no fucking manners….Is totally obnoxious and needs to learn to scale back and chill the fuck out…and realize that life isn’t the Gaga show…if it was I’d kill myself… Either way, here’s her costume change that should get her arrested. It is indecent. To See THe Rest of the Horrible Pics FOLLOW THIS LINK

‘ ‘Twilight’ has this incredibly hard-core fanbase that apparently cannot be beat,’ says one Potter expert. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Wigler Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” swept the 2011 MTV Movie Awards , and “Harry Potter” fans are not too pleased about it. On Monday (June 6), MTV News caught up with some of the head honchos at leading “Harry Potter” fan sites so they could weigh in on the “Potter” versus “Twilight” Movie Awards rivalry . Some shared their theories about why “Twilight” seems to beat out the Boy Who Lived every time they’re in the same category. “It is a shame because ‘Potter’ definitely deserves it, but ‘Twilight’ has this incredibly hard-core fanbase that apparently cannot be beat,” said Andrew Sims of MuggleNet . “I just hope that next year at the next Movie Awards ‘Potter’ fans actually learn their lesson and get voting.” Although “Potter” fans couldn’t overcome Twilighter fervor, #teampotter did jump to the number two trending topic worldwide on Twitter during the Movie Awards pre-show. Julia Hodges of DanRadcliffe.com and RupertGrint.net was disappointed “Harry Potter” didn’t come away any of the night’s awards — other than Best Villain for Tom Felton — that she believed the series truly deserved. “The ‘Potter’ films [are] not only amazing for the people who love ‘Harry Potter,’ they’re amazing films,” Hodges said. “They’ve been nominated for so many Oscars and they’ve actually won a few, and they were just recognized at the most recent BAFTA awards for Outstanding Contribution to British Cinema, so the quality of the ‘Potter’ films alone is incredible.” But Rosi Halse of the Leaky Cauldron wouldn’t let the fact that “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1” didn’t collect a bunch of Golden Popcorn statues dampen her love of the series. “The ‘Harry Potter’ fanbase is so huge, and we know we love the films and we love the stories and we love the actors,” she said. “I think you can’t help but be proud whether or not they did miss out on the awards.” Next year’s Movie Awards will be the last time a film in the “Harry Potter” franchise will be eligible to compete at the awards show, and the fan sites are already planning to rally Potter-heads to come out in full force and actually bring home some Golden Popcorn. After seeing an exclusive scene from the “Deathly Hallows, Part 2” during the Movie Awards, Halse said she’s convinced that 2012 could be the year of “Potter.” “If that is just a preview of what’s to come, I think it will definitely walk away with a few awards next year,” she said. My name is Lilee and I live in Townsville, Australia . One thing that really bothers me is that people instantly assume that I am ‘in love’ with Justin Bieber just because I am a fan of his, but for me this is not the case. I can honestly say that I simply just appreciate his music and nothing else. On December 9th, 2010 myself and my two friends Nicole (@thatnicolekidd) and Candace (@candiebritton) bought our VIP tickets through a pre-sale and were lucky enough to get second row center stage seats. Before this I had never cried over anything Bieber related but I think it was purely over the fact that we had prayed for these exact seats in the exact section and God had answered our prayers. I honestly mean that. Finally, April 22nd 2011 came and we flew from Townsville to Brisbane which was where the concert was. As we were waiting in the Brisbane Airport my friends and I were saying how this didn’t seem real when just at that moment this older couple were walking towards us. I couldn’t figure out who they were but I just knew that I knew their names. Suddenly it hit me that they were Justin’s Grandparents. His Grandmother walked past us and I said hello. She replied and I said I’d see her at the concert on Tuesday. She replied “Yes Tuesday. See you girls there!” She was absolutely friendly and more than happy to talk to us. So that night we went into Brisbane city and were walking near the Hilton hotel when these 3 guys walked passed us. I thought one of them was Scrappy but I wasn’t sure so I didn’t say anything. But then he started talking and I just knew it was him. About 20 minutes later we walked to McDonalds where we found Scrappy and a bunch of other guys sitting down. I worked up the courage to approach him later on out on the street and he was absolutely shocked that I recognised him . He introduced us to some of the other crew members as he conversed with us. They all made fun of my accent and I got about 10 photos with Scrappy and a random video. Before we left he told us he’d wave to us at the concert since he knew where we were sitting. The next day we went back into the city and met a bunch more people from the crew including Scrappy again. He told us that Justin had gotten stuck in Bali due to problems with his jet. I met Michael Vargas 3 times that day and night, Legaci, the other back up dancers , more stage crew members, Marcus (the One Less Lonely Boy) who is incredibly funny and we spoke to Scrappy again. The next day was April 26th – concert day. We basically spent all day getting ready. When we arrived at the Brisbane Entertainment Center everyone had to line up at security. My friends and I were at the front of the line and across from where we were you could see into the windows at the top of the venue. At one point, Ryan Good walked by and so did Justin. He opened the window and waved and was hoping up and down trying to tease us. Of course everyone went crazy. It was adorable. So when we got inside the venue to our seats Scrappy was doing his thing on stage and waved to us as promised. Several times girls kept screaming and pointing to backstage as if they’d seen something. I looked and I saw Justin’s head running away. This only got me more excited for the show. When DJ Tay James was on stage doing his thing Scooter walked on stage to talk to him and I managed to get a photo of Scooter looking directly at my camera. In the first song of the show I held up this tiny sign which read, ‘Hey Dan, @teamkanterAUS’ with an arrow pointing down at me. You see, I own that account and Dan Kanter follows me on it and has tweeted and rt’d me a few times. I literally held the sign up for 2 seconds when he saw it and pointed at me and mouthed ‘OMG, THAT’S YOU?!’ with a massive smile on his face. Of course I and my friends lost it. Dan threw his first guitar pick to me and I caught it. During the night he threw me another one so I have 2 of his guitar picks. He also kept throwing them at my friends and one of them was lucky enough to catch one. Dan was constantly smiling and waving to us all night. Legaci also recognised us and randomly waved which was awesome. At the beginning of ‘Baby’ Michael Vargas was standing directly in front of me when he randomly remembered me from the day before I guess, and so he pointed at me and waved. After the concert, we drove into the city. We randomly decided to walk down some random part of the mall when who do we see? Dan Kanter and Scrappy. They were at some bar with Allison Kaye, Scooter’s assistant and a bunch of other people from the crew. I didn’t even wave at Dan, he just recognised us, waved and then came straight over to us. I shook his hand and introduced myself. He wouldn’t stop thanking me for the account I made for him and he also told me that he had hoped to meet me on the Australian leg of the My World Tour. I died at that point. Haha. He is honestly the sweetest, most humble and genuine person I’ve ever met . We had a normal conversation with him for about 20 minutes, got photos etc and he told us that Justin and his crew are planning on coming back to Australia next year! That same night we also ran into Ryan Good, Scooter and Carin. The next morning we were sitting in the bar at the Sofitel when Dan walked in and came over to our table and was like ‘What’s up guys?’ I don’t think I’ve ever come across any ‘famous’ person in such a ‘normal’ way. He was just like anyone else. Before he left we spoke again. Ryan, Allison, Alfredo, Scooter, Kenny, PJ and Carin were also there. Kenny, Alfredo and PJ stayed behind while the others left for Sydney. We knew Justin was on bed rest so we bought $75 purple flowers and a card which his Grandpa so kindly took up to Justin for us. Candace and I had to fly back to Townsville that night and Nicole was staying for Chris Brown’s concert. Before I left we had a conversation with Alfredo and got photos. The next morning back in Townsville I check my twitter to find I have a mention from someone saying “So you’re one of the girls that gave Justin flowers. Did you get the note from his Grandma?” I freaked out and called Nicole and our other friend Anj (@anjieg) who were still in Brisbane. Long story short, Nicole ran into Justin’s Grandparents before they left for Sydney and we got our note. One of our friends Maddie didn’t get the chance to come to Brisbane for Justin’s concert so her and I spontaneously bought flights to Adelaide and left 2 days later without concert tickets. We knew God would provide for us so we went anyway. In Adelaide we met my friend Anj who was also going to the concert there. We had hoped to be one of the lucky ones who got given tickets by Scooter or Kenny but sadly they didn’t seem to come out. We waited outside the venue in 5 degree weather all night. I knew we couldn’t give up. Exactly half way through the show these 3 random girls came out and gave us their tickets!! We sprinted through the venue screaming, ran down the stairs and into the Auditorium where Justin was half way through performing ‘One Time’. Maddie lost it. She was so upset that all her friends had already seen Justin and she hadn’t but now there she was.. in the same room as Justin Bieber. We couldn’t believe how Good God had been to us. We travelled all the way from Northern Australia to the very bottom of the country with NO tickets to go to a SOLD OUT concert and we managed to get in. It’s all about faith. The next day we met Justin’s drummer in an Alley way where we just had a casual conversation about life and traveling. He was amazed we’d traveled so far with no tickets. After that I met Justin’s Grandparents again where I thanked them in person for holding onto our note in Brisbane. I met Ryan Good and Alfredo Flores again. I also met Dan again who recognised me and screamed “OMG HEY! DID YOU GO TO THE SHOW LAST NIGHT?!” I’ll never forget the people I met, the friends I made or how incredible both of Justin’s concerts were. I am forever grateful that he took the time to write myself, Anj, Nicole and Candace a thank you note and I am completely amazed at how lovely, friendly and genuine everyone on Bieber’s crew is. Team bieber forever. April 22nd-May 6th, 2011 Continue reading here: My name is Lilee and I live in Townsville, Australia. One thing…
Ahh, the 90′s, one of the best decades in the history of the Black television series’. “Martin,” “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air,” “Living Single,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Moesha,” “The Wayans Bros,” “The Cosby Show” and “The Parkers”–all shows that will forever be timeless in Black TV. I can watch reruns of these shows over and over again and even know what will happen next and still laugh hysterically, cry when someone gets married, and laugh again. Fast forward to the present and you can barely get a second season out of these watered down, slapstick style comedy TV series’ like “House of Payne,” VH1′s “Single Ladies” and BET’s “Let’s Stay Together.” I would never even think of buying a DVD series of ANY season of these shows. Why not? Well, these are not necessarily shows that you can watch rerun after rerun and not get annoyed by much less remember they existed six years from now. Like your parents boasted about shows like “Good Times,” “Sandford & Son,” and “The Jeffersons” to us, we’ll skip right on over the host of black TV shows post-new millennium and go back to the hilarious black comedies of the 90′s and tell our children about it. As of late I’ve been noticing a pattern taking shape within Black television, and that is that ratings seem to always be an excuse behind a show getting pulled. Which makes me wonder, if nobody is watching black sitcoms anymore then what are they watching, because TV is definitely still being watched. The other day a very influential black woman spoke briefly on the state of black television and it really made me wonder. Then I realized it, I’ve been trained. I can’t speak for the readers out there but I realized that I’ve been trained to like what (before just a few years ago), I swore I’d never fall victim to: and that is my love for “real-life” drama or “reality tv.” The television industry has trained me to become transfixed with seeing pointless drama instead of the scripted, yet positive images and lifestyles that in my own reality would take much hard work to attain. The industry figured out what myself as well as many other reality TV lovers “desired to see” before we even realized it–which is the highly-scripted and well-rehearsed drink-throwing, hair-shifting, “Who Gon’ Check Me Boo”-style drama on TV every week. What I didn’t know was that the public (if you don’t like reality TV, you can quietly exclude yourself from this group) has become obsessed with the idea of “real-life” drama, which is exactly why you have reality shows like “Basketball Wives,” and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and shows that we think are reality are the total opposite. Not only that, but we actually watch and create celebrities out of reality TV ‘stars’ as opposed to watching well-trained actors and then we complain when these TV series’ dissipate due to low ratings. I realized that the problem is much less the commentary and content of these shows and more so the people and the TV industry giving the people what they want. Ultimately what I’m saying is that, with the many different black TV shows that has came and went over the course of the last 10 years, I can count on 1 hand the amount of shows that have made a lasting impression. Many people complain and say that we have no black TV shows yet divert their time to reality television. Evolution is definitely a great way to promote change and growth but do you think reality TV has enough longevity to permanently take over for the Black Television series? Is the Black Television Series dead? And if so can it be revived, if so what would it take to make these shows more memorable and widely accepted? 5 Most Predictable Moments From The “Single Ladies” Premiere [VIDEO] Nicki Minaj & UK Interviewer Make “Connection” On Camera [VIDEO]
With all of the hoopla over the impending rapture tomorrow it was nice to come across someone speaking about religion in a way that the common person can relate to. Mike Bigga (formerly Killer Mike) released his latest album PL3DGE on Tuesday and it definitely earns a slot in our “Best Albums of 2011..So far” list. One song in particular that stands out to me is “God Is In The Building 2″, the follow up to “ God Is In The Building” from I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind 2 . While the entire song is rewind worthy the first verse is timely given the trending topic of the day. It’s hot like Haiti down in Hades/ The false prophet say the Lord has forsaken us Black babies/ To make it off a island in Mercedes/ We gone sell it white as Michelangelo’s Christ/ babies need rice The baby need beans/ to feed our babies beans we might have to flip a bean I have sold my people dope/ yet provided them with hope/sinner and saint/ Yeah, I did ‘em both Yea I sold a brick/ on a basketball court/ and bought the uniforms for the basketball coach Can’t wash a way the blood so I put rings on my fingers/ 25 carats symbolize my redeemer And my redeemer’s blood is/ capable of taking Chris Dudus making him a savior of others My God will take a Sual (and) Fashion (Form) him a Pual/ so only God can judge me/ and to hell with all ya’ll. Take a listen, read the lyrics and hopefully if we’re all still alive on Monday go and cop his album.
Christy Chung, who was in Singapore recently for the Audi Fashion Festival 2011, however refuted the rumours. In an interview with RazorTV, she said that she made those statements on Weibo from a philosophical viewpoint, after being inspired by one of her friends. “If you#39;re not happy single, you won#39;t be happy taken,” she explained. “Happiness comes from yourself, not from other people.” “I wanted to be able to share about life, philosophy and love,” Christy told the online video websi
