Demi Lovato And Joe Jonas Give Their First Interview As A Couple

‘The feelings were always there,’ Lovato tells Ryan Seacrest. By Jean Bentley Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato Photo: Kevin Mazur/VF1/WireImage Fresh off their performance of “Make a Wave” on “American Idol” Wednesday night, Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas gave Ryan Seacrest their first joint interview as a couple on the “Idol” host’s radio show. Of course, Seacrest asked the question on everybody’s minds: “Joe, who made your suit?” He was kidding, obviously. (But the answer was Gucci, in case you were wondering.) He actually wanted to know about reports that the couple had officially started dating. “We’ve been best friends for the longest time, and now we’re just kind of taking the next step, and it’s been really fun,” Jonas said. “And we’re having a great time.” Lovato told Seacrest, “I think being best friends for a while, over time feelings grow. I think for me, as much as I wanted to deny it, the feelings were always there.” “I think it kind of shifted over, like, probably a month ago,” Jonas said about their platonic relationship turning romantic. “I think we’ve always kind of figured that one day it would happen, but we didn’t feel like it was the right time.” Lest you think the relationship is a publicity stunt for their new Disney Channel movie, “Camp Rock 2” (out later this year), Jonas and Lovato lovingly gazed into each other’s eyes and smiled as Seacrest asked them questions about their budding love. Check their banter when Seacrest asked if the couple was nervous before their “Idol” performance last night. Seacrest said he couldn’t even finish their intro because the crowd was screaming so loud: “We were looking at each other, and I said, ‘Are you nervous?’ ” Jonas recalled. “And she was like, ‘Yeah.’ And she was like, ‘Are you nervous?’ And I was like, ‘Um, no,’ trying to play it cool.” “I could totally tell you were nervous,” Lovato laughed. “Yeah, I know,” he said. In addition to mocking the distinct laughs of Lovato and one of the show’s producers, Seacrest asked Jonas if he could take the time to clear up a rumor making the rounds on Twitter that the JoBro allegedly got a rope burn while working out. “Rope burn?” Jonas asked. “I work out on the beach. My trainer, we go to the Santa Monica Pier where they have the rings and all that, but I’ve never tweeted about rope burn. … I can clarify. I mean, I have really dry skin. Maybe that’s what it is. I don’t moisturize enough, I guess.” What do you think about the new couple? Did you like their performance on “Idol”? Let us know in the comments! Michael Jackson’s Doctor Allegedly Stopped CPR To Hide Evidence

Witness told police Conrad Murray interrupted CPR to collect and hide drug vials. By Eric Ditzian Dr. Conrad Murray Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images A witness present at Michael Jackson ‘s home on the day he died has made an explosive allegation about the conduct of the pop star’s doctor as he tried to revive Jackson, according to a statement obtained by The Associated Press. Dr. Conrad Murray allegedly interrupted the CPR he was performing on Jackson and delayed calling 911, so he could collect and hide drug vials. Witness Alberto Alvarez, who worked as Jackson’s logistics director, gave the account to Los Angeles police. In February, Murray pled not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Jackson’s death, and the possibility that he attempted to conceal evidence is said to be a likely focus for prosecutors. Alvarez stated that on June 25, he received a distress call from Jackson’s personal assistant and went upstairs to Jackson’s bedroom to find the singer lying in bed and Murray administering CPR with one hand. “Alberto, Alberto, come quickly,” Murray said, according to the statement. “He had a reaction, he had a bad reaction.” Murray was then said to grab a few drug vials with robber tops and instructed Alvarez to place them in a bag. Murray also reportedly told Alvarez to remove an IV bag and place it in a second bag. Not until the vials were hidden did Murray tell Alvarez to call paramedics. Two days later, under intense questioning, Murray finally told police about the existence of the bags, in which the powerful anesthetic propofol and other sedatives were discovered. The coroner’s report has indicated that Murray gave Jackson a dose of propofol sufficient for “major surgery” and that the pop singer died of “acute propofol intoxication.” Murray’s lawyer, Ed Chernoff, said Murray did not attempt to hide any evidence. “He wasn’t putting bottles in a bag and trying to hide them,” Chernoff told the AP. “We are confident that a fair trial will ferret out the truth.” Chernoff also spoke to E! News about the statement, which was taken during one of two times Alvarez was interviewed by police. “We note that this statement was given more than two months after Michael Jackson’s death and is inconsistent with a statement he gave the police the day after Mr. Jackson was taken to the hospital,” Chernoff said. “We would ask the public to reserve judgment until after the people’s witnesses are placed under oath and subjected to the rigors of cross-examination.” Related Artists Michael Jackson

Justin Bieber Goes Acoustic For MTV.com Performance — Check It Out Here!

The star sings, raps and plays guitar during an intimate live performance. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber performs live for MTV.com Photo: MTV Justin Bieber ‘s new album My World 2.0 is out on Tuesday (March 23), and he sat down for an exclusive acoustic performance for MTV.com where he played several new tracks as well as a few fan favorites. Bieber not only displayed his vocal abilities, but he also rapped and played guitar. During a performance of “One Less Lonely Girl” off his debut album My World, Bieber played acoustic guitar while belting out the track. For his newer songs like “Never Let You Go” and the Motown-inspired track “U Smile,” Bieber chose to go guitar-less and really showcase his voice. Before his performance of “Baby” he told the intimate crowd, “I don’t know if you guys know this song — it’s called ‘Baby’ and it’s dedicated to Nicole in Minnesota,” before singing the song and then rapping the part usually rapped by Ludacris. He also dedicated the slower track “That Should Be Me” to Alexa in Knoxville, Tennessee. About his new album, Bieber has said it’s a fun record and seemed excited by his producers on the tracks, all of which he helped co-write. “It’s gonna be a lot of fun, the album,” he told MTV News . “I co-wrote everything on the album, and I got to work with a lot of cool producers. I got to work with The-Dream, I worked with … a lot of cool people, so it was a lot of fun.” His favorite song on the album is “Up,” and he’s also partial to second single “U Smile.” “I worked with [Dan] August [Rigo]. I got him. He’s a really good writer,” Bieber said of his friend and collaborator. “The song is amazing. We really love the song, so we decided to cut it. It’s really amazing.” Are you excited to see Bieber unplugged? How would you react if Justin dedicated a song to you? Sound off in the comments! ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Returns With Plenty Of Talent And Tears

Nicole Scherzinger earns top marks and Buzz Aldrin hits the low point in the dance competition’s premiere. By Josh Wigler Ashly Costa and Buzz Aldrin Photo: ABC Astronauts, athletes, actresses and more — if nothing else, the cast for the 10th season of “Dancing With the Stars” is diverse, and thankfully, they’re also filled with plenty of promise, judging by their first performances in a season premiere filled with laughs, tears and dropped jaws. Kicking the season off was NFL star Chad Ochocinco and partner Cheryl Burke with the cha-cha-cha, a dance Burke described as “fun and flirty, just like [Ochocinco].” Returning judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Anne Inaba all agreed Ochocinco has great potential, with Goodman describing him as “a rough diamond” waiting to be sharpened. With a score of 18 out of 30, Ochocinco told new co-host and former “Dancing With the Stars” champion Brooke Burke that he felt good on the dance floor but still has “a long way to go.” Following Ochocinco was “Beverly Hills, 90210” veteran Shannen Doherty and partner Mark Ballas. Doherty revealed that she joined the show in support of her father, who is currently recovering from a stroke. Despite her best intentions, the actress was a self-described nervous wreck, but Ballas jokingly promised that he’d keep her nerves down and have antihistamine on hand. The pair, like Ochocinco and Burke, earned an 18 out of 30 but received compliments from the judges for showing “ease and elegance” in their performance of the Viennese Waltz. After the dance, Doherty tearfully said the proud expression on her father’s face was all she needed to feel accomplished. ESPN host Erin Andrews took the stage next alongside the outspoken Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who chastised Andrews during rehearsal: “My only pleasure in life is to bitch at people, and you’re taking it away!” Performing the cha-cha-cha, Andrews received a strong 21 out of 30, despite some criticism for lack of control over her arm and leg movements. Fresh off the heels of his stint on “The Bachelor,” Jake Pavelka traded in his rose for a pair of dance shoes alongside partner Chelsie Hightower, who said Jake would get a lot of votes from the female audience because “he’s hot.” The judges were torn on Jake’s performance, with Inaba saying he worked romance into his dance, while Bruno argued he was too rough. Despite the disagreement, Jake waltzed away with an admirable 20 out of 30. “Reno 911” star Niecy Nash, the next competitor, made it a point to flaunt her “jiggly parts” with the following mission statement: “I want to be the nice, thick, grown woman that stands in the front, not the chubby girl that sits in the back.” Alongside partner Louis Van Amstel, Nash impressed Inaba with a lot of sass and personality, but Goodman wasn’t as kind, going so far as to call the dance an uneventful and “flat” cha-cha-cha. Nash walked away with 18 out of 30, dedicating her performance to “thick girls everywhere.” Without the aid of his trademark ice skates, Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek braved the dance floor with his partner Anna Trebunskaya. Lysacek acknowledged that his experience as a skater could prove beneficial, but he had trouble acclimating to certain spin styles during rehearsal. Even with these difficulties acknowledged, Lysacek scored the second-best result of the evening with 23 out of 30. Goodman praised the skater for his musicality and elegance but agreed with the other judges that he needed to work on his “clumsy feet.” Lysacek’s clumsy feet were hardly problematic compared to world-renowned astronaut Buzz Aldrin’s own difficulties. Although Aldrin received loving tributes from colleagues in space, all three judges agreed that the spacewalker’s moves needed some work. “How can I possibly criticize a hero and a legend, but I have to do my job,” Tonioli offered before he and the judges bestowed Aldrin with a 14 out of 30, the lowest score of the evening. Aldrin accepted the result gracefully, declaring: “I’m looking forward to the future.” The lowest-ranked performance of the evening was swiftly followed by the highest, as Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and partner Derek Hough blew the judges away with their Viennese Waltz. Tonioli described the performance as having “startling finesse,” while Inaba said Scherzinger and Hough set the bar for the rest of season 10. Goodman was much less impressed, telling Scherzinger she needed to work on her finesse. Despite the criticism, the pair managed an impressive 25 out of 30, the best score of the night. If Scherzinger set the bar for the competition, “All My Children” actor Aiden Turner completely missed it. Along with partner Edyta Sliwinska, who finished in last place during last season’s competition, Turner failed to impress the judges with his cha-cha-cha set to the tune of “Hungry Like the Wolf.” Inaba enjoyed Turner’s approach and bravado but felt he and his partner didn’t hit the mark. “I gave it my all,” he sighed after receiving a score of 15 out of 30. “The crowd had my back, but it’s nerve-racking out there.” Kate Gosselin, tabloid target and mother of eight, was the next star to grace the dance floor with longtime “Dancing With the Stars” competitor Tony Dovolani. Performing the Viennese Waltz, Gosselin revealed that her eight children laughed at her when they found out she’d be performing in the dancing competition. The judges didn’t join Gosselin’s eight in mocking the reality star, but they did acknowledge that she would have her work cut out for her in order to go deep into the contest. Gosselin left the stage with 16 out of 30, declaring that while she feels honored to be part of the series, she’s equally “glad that it’s over and glad that my kids can rest easy tonight.” Finishing the first night of competition was “Baywatch” actress Pamela Anderson and partner Damian Whitewood with the cha-cha-cha. True to her reputation, Anderson performed aggressively and sexually with Whitewood, tearing his shirt open midway into the dance and chewing on his hand afterward. “I can only think of sex, sex, sex, the dirtier the better,” assessed Tonioli before he and the judges gifted Anderson with a final score of 21 out of 30. Because the votes and scores will be combined with next week’s results, none of the 11 dancers are in imminent danger of expulsion from the dance competition. While there were certainly some fits and starts, nearly every competitor exhibited an enviable amount of enthusiasm, personality and, in many cases, skill. Without a doubt, this season of “Dancing With the Stars” will be one to watch. Who was your favorite dancer? Are you excited for this season of “Dancing With the Stars”? Sound off in the comments! Jason Wahler Sprung From Mexican Jail Cell, Then Arrested Again For DUI Back in the U.S.

DMX had better watch his back. Former Laguna Beach and Hills star Jason Wahler was arrested last week for allegedly driving under the influence, having just been sprung from jail in Mexico! Newport Beach, Calif., police say Wahler was nabbed for driving a 2008 Chevy Tahoe while intoxicated. Hilariously, he described himself to police as “an actor.” He was released under his own recognizance. You may recall Wahler was arrested in Cabo San Lucas , Mexico and held there earlier this month after a bar fight. As for how he got back to the U.S., that remains shrouded in mystery. The U.S. Consulate is, for whatever reason, kept the reason for his release on the DL. Until he gets arrested, we always forget about him too . Jason Wahler was cuffed a week ago Thursday and thrown in the slammer after getting in a fight, yet no record of Jason was found during calls to various jails. The Consulate says he was released seven hours after being locked up after the ex of Lauren Conrad signed a document keeping the terms of his release secret. Who knew you could even do that, it’s news to us, and You have to wonder what he did to secure his release. You gotta love Mexico. According to Wahler’s father, no charges were filed against his son in Mexico. As for the Newport Beach DUI, he’s not likely to be let off with any secret bribe.

Katherine Heigl Barely Avoids Fashion Disaster

Chalk this one up for celebrity gossip . Stars often treat tabloids and entertainment news coverage with disdain, but Katherine Heigl was thankful for a particular Access Hollywood personality last week. As she was accepting the honor of Female Star of the Year at the ShoWest Awards, Heigl’s dress literally fell apart. Luckily, Billy Bush graciously came to the rescue . Holding her shoulder strap in place, Bush did Heigl a major solid. Guys everywhere probably wished he weren’t present, however. Thisclose, fellas. Thisfrickinclose . Katherine Heigl nearly gives the performance of a lifetime. Thanks to Bush, Heigl, whose exit from Grey’s Anatomy was recently announced, didn’t make a similar departure from her clothing. Billy later Tweeted: “Oh my, hosting showest awards in LV. Heigl comes up to get award, dress strap breaks… I hold her top on while she accepts!” Summed up rather succinctly. Heigl’s bare shoulder wasn’t all she displayed at the Las Vegas gala. The star also showed off her new hairdo: The famously blonde actress is now brunette. Here’s Billy narrowly preventing a Katherine Heigl nude picture … Resourceful Billy made sure he was the only Bush on display that night .

Lady Gaga’s Love Story With Rob Fusari

Lady Gaga’s former boyfriend, producer and business partner claims that he helped launch the pop star, and is now suing her for $35 million because she squeezed him out of her lucrative career after their failed relationship. Rob Fusari, a songwriter and producer, said that he’s the man who came up with Stefani Germanotta’s stage name which is “Lady Gaga”. He also co-wrote some of her song and helped her get record deal. He filed the lawsuit on Wednesday in a Manhattan state court. Their story starts in spring of 2006 when Stefani Germanotta, 20-year-old, rode a bus from Manhattan to Fusari’s studio in Parsippany, New Jersey, to work on music. When Fusari saw the young Italian girl, he was worried that he made a mistake because he was expecting someone a little more dirt-rocker than the girl who came at his doorstep. He then asked her to play one of her songs on the piano. After seeing her performance, he realized that she has a potential to become a star. Though he found her songs were brilliant, something is lacking, it’s commercial appeal. He strongly encouraged Germanotta to explore varieties of musical style. He spent several months working with her every day and radically reshaping her approach. During those times, Germanotta commuted from New York to Jersey seven days a week. He also persuaded her to drop rock riffs for dance beats, demonstrating how the sound of a drum machine would not affect the wholeness of her music. The suit claims that he transformed Germanotta into Lady Gaga, a name adapted from Queen’s “Radio Ga Ga.” As they were working intensely and becoming much closer with each other, their romance began to grow deeper. Then Germanotta and her father signed a contract with Fusari committing 20 percent share. In May 2007, Lady Gaga got a new recording contract with Interscope. After that, she had stopped answering Fusari’s phone calls. Still, Fusari co-wrote and produced four songs on Lady Gaga’s debut album “The Fame”, including the hit Paparazzi”. Lady Gaga won two Grammys in January, best dance recording for her song”Poker Face” and best electronic and dance album for “The Fame” Lady Gaga’s Love Story With Rob Fusari is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading
