Rosie might have stepped out of bounds with this one… Whoopi Goldberg Doesn’t Believe Mistaking Obama For Valet Is Racist Via TheRoot As it turns out, The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg doesn’t think it’s racist that President Barack Obama has been mistaken for a waiter and a valet, or that his wife, Michelle, has been solicited for help by a Target customer. It’s not racism that causes these assumptions but ignorance, she insists: “You guys need to know what real racism is. … Racism is when someone comes up and says [expletive] and die. That’s racist.” The actor and talk show host detailed how her mother used to get followed around in stores, but still didn’t view that as an act of racism. “The issue is, you better look at each other as an individual,” she said. Orange Is the New Black actress Laverne Cox, who was a guest on the show, reminded Goldberg about the implicit biases that people have and the system that America was built on to help create and sustain these biases. “I’ve been black for 60 years,” Goldberg insisted. “For me, stupidity, dumb folks who just say dumb stuff because they’re not looking or paying attention to the person they’re talking to, which is why people could walk up to Obama and not look up at him and see that it’s the president. “I just see it as stupid,” Goldberg added. When fellow co-host Rosie O’Donnell attempted to step up and point out how these things were, in fact, racist, Goldberg was quick to cut her off. “You are a white lady telling me what is racist to you,” she said. Forbes reports: After an October cover for L’Uomo Vogue, followed by an editorial shoot in this month’s Vogue Italia, news broke earlier today that the Anaconda rapper is the face of the Roberto Cavalli spring/summer 2015 campaign. The campaign images, shot in LA by Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini, see Minaj posing in flowy bohemian dresses, defined by embroideries and animal prints typical of the Cavalli brand. The only woman to make it into the Forbes Hip-Hop Cash Kings 2014 list (cashing in an estimated $14 million this year), will also endorse the Made in Italy brand its eyewear and accessory line, in addition to its ready-to-wear. “I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman. In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes. With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong countertrend message. We’re sorry for his loss… Todd Tucker’s Mother ‘Miss Sharon’ Passes Away After Sudden Stroke Via MailOnline : Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Todd Tucker’s mother passed away on Tuesday in New York, a source exclusively revealed to Mail Online. Tucker was in Atlanta when he received a call notifying him that his mother had fallen ill in New York, according to the insider. A friend of the reality star’s is reported to have discovered his mother Miss Sharon before she was rushed to a hospital, where she died the following day. Sharon was reportedly unconscious after suffering a stroke when Tucker arrived in New York. She then slipped into a coma overnight before passing away on Tuesday, the same source claims. When Sharon was hospitalized Tucker’s wife Kandi Burruss is reported to have been in Los Angeles while he was in Atlanta. Miss Sharon was known for making vibrant appearances on her son’s reality series RHOA, with many memorable fights with her daughter-in-law’s mother Joyce. Five Students Arrested For Gang-Assault And Imprisonment Of University Girl In Campus Dorm Room

Utterly ridiculous. SMH. Five Men Taken Into Custody After Imprisoning And Sexually Assaulting University Classmate Five New Jersey college students have been arrested for the imprisonment and rape of a female classmate. Apparently the young woman was forced to perform sex acts on each of the men in a darkened campus dorm room, then blocked from leaving the residence. Via MailOnline : Five students have been charged with sexually assaulting a woman and keeping her captive in a darkened dorm room at a New Jersey University. The female student reported last week that she was attacked at accommodation at the William Paterson University and then held against her will. According to the criminal complaint, the five men turned out the lights and used ‘physical force or coercion’ to attack the victim at the Overlook South residence hall. They then forced her to perform multiple sex acts before they stopped her from leaving the room. Now five men, who all lived in university residences, have been arrested and are scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Paterson today. Court documents show that the five men arrested were Noah Williams, Garrett Collick , Termaine Scott, Jahmel Latimer and Darius Singleton, who all studied at the University. The men, who are all 18, are facing a range of charges from kidnapping to aggravated criminal sexual contact, and bail has been set at $200,000 for each suspect. According to the Record, who obtained the complaint to police, Latimer is accused of pulling the woman by the hair and forcing her to perform sex acts. The other four men are alleged to have conspired to commit sexual assault, restrained another person unlawfully and exposed them to risk of serious bodily injury. The school’s president Kathleen Waldron confirmed that all five of the accused lived at the university and have been ‘barred from campus’. In a statement she added: ‘My deepest concern is for the victim of this criminal act who has courageously stepped forward to take legal action and seek justice. ‘No expression of anger or sadness on my part can alleviate the harm done to the victim and my heart goes out to her and her family.’ So sad that women have to worry about avoiding incidents like these when just trying to pursue an education. SMH.

Lawd! Tennessee Couple Arrested For Killing Popular Pastor Via The Grio reports: The family of a Memphis pastor found dead Saturday may finally have justice. The Prospect Park Missionary Baptist Church pastor, Don Smith, was discovered dead near a pond at Hickory Hill. His car was also missing. Police spotted the car on Wednesday and pulled over Lashonda Williams, 24, and Roger Reed Jr., 23. Warrants for first-degree murder were issued for both of them. Memphis Pastor Don Smith was shot and killed Saturday — and his family still doesn’t have any answers. Smith’s body was found lying on Hickory Hill, beside a pond, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The family is still in shock. “All we know is right now he was murdered and we can’t find the person who did it,” said family member Raymond Jones. “We’re still trying to put pieces together of what actually happened…of what caused his death.” Smith, a pastor at Prospect Park Missionary Baptist Church in Whitehaven, spent all his time at the church or in the kitchen — warming souls with food and the Gospel. A wake will be held for Pastor Smith on Friday between 4 and 7 p.m., and the funeral will take place on November 8 at 11 a.m. at the Golden Gate Cathedral on Saturday. May God have mercy on their sick souls!
