Gentlemen… 3 Pilots Die In Mississippi Plane Crash Via The Star Three pilots flying together to a federal safety conference died when their single-engine plane faltered in midair and crashed into a house that went up in flames. The three men had just taken off from Hawkins Field Airport in Jackson on Tuesday when a witness said the Piper PA-32 began “spitting and sputtering.” The witness, a Jackson police officer, saw the plane sputtering like it was out of fuel, he would later tell the plane’s owner — a budding pilot whose own life was spared when he decided to go deer hunting instead of flying. The men on board were headed to a Federal Aviation Administration safety conference less than 30 miles away. One of the aviators asked for permission to return to the airport, but just minutes later the plane went down. It crashed through trees before slamming into a house that quickly caught fire, sending long flames and black smoke through the neighbourhood of modest single-family homes surrounded by magnolia and oak trees. A deputy fire chief told WJTV-TV that one person escaped the burning home with minor injuries, but it was not immediately clear if anyone else was inside. One patient from the scene was in good condition at University of Mississippi Medical Center, spokesman Jack Mazurak said late Tuesday. He wouldn’t give the person’s name or gender or the extent of the injuries, citing privacy laws.

At a time when General David Petraeus’ affair with his biographer has become a media obsession, Leo Tolstoy’s 19th-century tale of love, adultery and aristocratic downfall, Anna Karenina , is more relevant than ever. And yet, with more than two-dozen film and TV adaptations of the novel in existence, director Joe Wright faced a daunting challenge: bringing a fresh perspective to the classic story. The gamble is whether its unique twist will translate into Oscar nominations. The sumptuous but unorthodox path he took — depicting pivotal scenes as if they were taking part on a theater stage — was akin to “jumping off a cliff” says Keira Knightley , who plays the movie’s title character, an alluring Russian aristocrat who breaks entrenched societal taboos and embarks on a torrid love affair with the affluent soldier, Count Vronsky. “I don’t know that we did know it would work,” said Knightley. “With Anna Karenina , it’s been done so many times before and there was a sense that if you’re going to tell this story again, you might as well do something that’s out there.” “Out there” includes depicting scenes of the titled heroine (or anti-heroine) on a stage as her marriage and social status disintegrates and she becomes the subject of societal scorn. “The worst thing we could do is fail,” said Knightley. “It was a constant conversation between us to make that balance work. But everyone was so deeply into it.” Wright, who directed the film from a screenplay adaptation by Tom Stoppard, decided just weeks before the shoot to re-work the film with the stage component. Knightely said the change threw the cast, which includes Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, into a bit of a frenzy. But she added that the group was determined to give it their all — even if there was a chance it wouldn’t work. “[Joe Wright] demands 110%. He demands complete obsession and that’s exactly what he gives back. It makes him an extraordinarily magical person to work with and frightening to work with because it’s not a job in which you go home from. It’s everything from the time that you’re making it, and I think that’s one of the reasons people said ‘let’s do it’ with this concept.” She added: “He’s one of those people you go with and say, ‘let’s jump.'” Getting to know Anna Karenina — the character and novel — was also an evolution for Knightley who had a completely different take on the book after re-reading it before production began. The first time she read it as a “sweeping romance,” but the second time she wondered if Tolstoy despised Anna. “I remember thinking [most recently] — and people will disagree with me on this — that Tolstoy hates her and I’m not sure that she’s the heroine. I think she’s the anti-heroine,” said Knightley. “She is the whole of Babylon — she’s the person to be judged. But then [Tolstoy] does at times understand her and is completely in love with her. And that’s the dichotomy of Anna and what has made her an object of fascination for so many years,” Knightley explained. “You’re not really sure what to feel about Anna. She is deceitful, manipulative and needy. But she is also wonderful, lovable, and full of energy and love. She’s all those things.” Knightley also observed that Anna is a character that makes one take a look at their moral universe, and the actress said she took great pains to keep her from coming off as a gilded cliché. “She is a creature that makes you look at yourself because you are judging this person, but then you think, ‘Do I have a right to do that?'” said Knightley. “The people we hurt the most are the people we love the most. And that’s what she does. The difficulty in playing her is you don’t want to simplify that. The easy thing to do would be to make her the victim and Karenina the bad guy and I didn’t want to do just that.” When the film comes out this Friday, there will likely be another dichotomy: Audiences and critics who love the unconventional stage settings interspersed with more-or-less more traditional linear storytelling and those who’ll object. But Knightley is pleased with what will hit the screen. “I think it’s absolutely extraordinary. I haven’t seen anything like it. I think it’s always going to be something that some people won’t like, but I’m very proud of it. If you’re talking about cinema as an event – it is certainly an event. You only see naturalism in film at the moment. Whether you think it’s over-stylized or not, you have to celebrate the fact that it’s so completely different. And I really love it. As first reported by The New York Times , Warner Brothers has given the axe to Anderson, effective at the conclusion of Season 2; the final episode of this talk show will air in the summer of 2013. Said Anderson Cooper in a statement: “I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am also grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively. The paparazzo who took the now-infamous photographs of Kate Middleton topless and bottomless has been identified as part of the ongoing criminal investigation. Prince William’s criminal filing after the fact has led officials to the celebrity news photographer who snapped around 200 photos of the couple sunbathing in France. Over 200 photos of Kate Middleton topless and in various stages of undress were taken from a great distance and published in tabloids across Europe. A source tells the Daily Mirror (UK): “William and Kate are determined to bring the person who took those photos to justice, and they’re pushing hard for a custodial sentence. They want to make an example of this person.” The British royal family has universally decried what they call an egregious invasion of privacy after Closer magazine first published the nude photos. The publication, which ran over a dozen Kate Middleton photos , confirms they hired a male photographer to survey the couple, but refused to reveal his identity. The photos, which were taken as the duo vacationed on private property, renewed the debate over what the pair’s reasonable expectation of privacy should be. My name is Ashley and I met my idol, Justin Drew Bieber on October 12 2012 before the show in Calgary, Alberta. It all started a couple weeks before the concert. I went on Bieberfever.com and saw the best collection contest to win meet and greets. I entered the contest the next day and waited. It was 1 day before the concert when I got the e-mail that changed my life. It was an e-mail from BieberFever saying that I had won the contest! I started shaking and crying when I read it. I can not describe the emotions I was feeling, my dream was finally coming true. Fast forward to the day of the concert. I got to the Saddledome (where the concert was) an hour and a half before the meet and greet, I was shaking. I could not believe in less than 2 hours I was going to be meeting the person who means everything to me. The time of the meet and greet quickly creeped up, and before I knew it I was in the line up, with dozens of other girls to meet Justin. After about 5 minutes of waiting and walking I saw these tall black curtains arranged into a square where Justin was standing behind, and that is when I started screaming and not breathing normally, lol. Finally I was next in line, and I saw Kenny and started squealing and saying “Omg it’s KENNY!” He gave me the oddest looks, but that’s okay! Then Kenny opened the curtain and I saw Justin, the person who I’ve been waiting years to meet, the guy who I fangirl over everyday, the boy who changed my life, standing right there! I couldn’t even move! I was stunned! So Kenny said to me, “Go on, you’re only meeting the most famous pop star,” so then I ran up to Justin and he said to me ”How you doing sweetie?” (I think i hyperventilated). Then I said, “Can I have a hug?” while almost crying my eyes out and he replied sure, and I gave him the biggest, tightest hug! Then the security or whoever put me and my mom, and my friend and her friend in order, to take the picture. Right before they took the picture I looked up at Justin, and saw his flawless face and hair and his black cap that was on backwards. After the picture as I was leaving I screamed to Justin, “You’re amazing, I LOVE YOU!” he nodded and smiled. As I was leaving I ran into Alfredo!!! I asked for a hug and my mom took a picture of us together, he told us to have an amazing night and to enjoy the show. I could not believe I just met my idol and Alfredo Flores. All my dreams have finally come true. When I got out of the meet and greet area I started sobbing, I could not stop! It was the best experience of my life. After I got myself together (kind of) we went to go line up to get into the concert. After we got in we went to our floor seats and the concert was starting soon. Carly Rae Jepsen did amazing. She looked beautiful. Then Justin came on stage, well flew on stage. I spazzed out so bad! He looked so amazing and all that could go through my head was “I just him, I just met him.” The concert was absolutely stunning. Justin did incredible, and looked so gorgeous! After the concert ended I started bawling my eyes out because the best night of my life was over, the day I’ve been looking forward to for months was over. According to The Grio: A substitute teacher at Cosby High School in Midlothian, Virginia, has been fired for allegedly having intimate relations with a former student. WRIC-TV reported that Anna Michelle Walters, was fired on Friday when school authorities first learned of the allegations. Justin Fosters, now a college student at West Virginia University, took to Twitter on Tuesday to give a detailed account of an affair with substitute teacher, Walters, while he was a student at Cosby High School with picture proof. Chesterfield County Police are investigating how old Fosters was when the affair took place, and are also looking into claims that Walters might have been involved with other students. Fosters tweeted: “Everyone be on twitter tonight lmfao,” and then followed with “oh man s**** going down tonight please if you attend Cosby or used to please be on twitter it’ll be a treat.” Fosters then proceeded to post a naked picture of Walters, along with screenshots of text messages that were exchanged between the two. His action generated mixed reactions on the social media, as one person tweeted praises at Fosters saying: “No matter what people say @DubVeeU is a f****** boss. #BossStatus” And another person rebuked him for his antics, saying, “Hey, just want you to know That you’re a big thing in Sweden…and we all think you’re a very sad person.” It is unclear what the motivation was, that led Fosters to reveal his exploits with the substitute teacher, but some are speculating that it was part of a fraternity initiation.
