Comedian jokingly removed band in November announcement for his college tour. The video announcement, which he (and Katy Perry ) posted in mid-November , seems to be getting some attention thanks to Brand’s pre-split jovial nature about removing his ring and learning about what happens in sorority houses. He opens the clip saying, “Hello Americans, this is a time of terrific change and the perfect time for me to go on a tour.” He then rambles on about American college life, adding, “I don’t know nothing about your college culture. This, for me, is going to be an educational experience. “Now in each of these cases I want to meet people from sororities and fraternities,” he continued. “I don’t know what a sorority is except for the things I’ve seen on Nudevista; that they are sort of sex clubs for women. Fraternities, that’s a bit like the film ‘Animal House’ or ‘Social Network.’ These are the only references I have.” Noting that he hoped to create worlds of “decadence” on the road, he further teased, “We are going to change college life forever. First of all, I’m going to understand it, then we’re going to change it, and then we’re gonna try and understand the new version.” As the video ends, Brand slides off his ring, with this message, “This is going to be a week of revolution, a week of occupation, and, more important, I’m going to learn firsthand about sororities. I’m going to place this somewhere very, very safe for the next week,” he said about his ring. At the time, his former wife tweeted her support for the shows. In fact, she was the person who tweeted out the video originally. “My [foul] mouthed Hubby @rustyrockets is playing a few mid-west/east-coast shows starting tonight onwards!” she wrote. “SUPPORT!” The video’s resurgence comes just one day after Perry announced she’d no longer attend Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards. My name is Dani and November 26 2010 & June 23rd 2011 were officially the best days of my LIFE! I found out one day in November that Justin would be at Barnes and Noble on 11/26/10. You have to buy First Step 2 Forever and then you got to meet him and only a certain amount of people were aloud to get in! Knowing my mom would wait all night with me to get in because we have done it before to see him in concert at the today show and since she’s a belieber also i asked her! The day of the event Justin got there after being a little late and everyone started screaming! They called next and we walked to a curtain and stood next to it and Justin was right behind it, I really couldn’t breathe. I was officially next in line and I was shaking so badly, it was crazy. A bodyguard who worked for the store put her hand on my heart and realized how fast it was beating and was like, “You have to calm down and started laughing”, and then all of a sudden I heard someone behind the curtain scream NEXT! I ran as fast as I could to get to be next to Justin in the picture and I was! He quickly said hi and we took the picture. Everyone else in the picture just walked away as soon as the picture was taken and didn’t say anything and I just stayed there and I was speechless. Completely speechless. I just looked at him and smiled and couldn’t even move. I gave him the biggest hug I probably have ever gave someone and he hugged me back and smiled he said bye and i was like, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I promised my mom before that I wouldn’t cry but as I walked away from Justin, I became a mess. I honestly went ballistic. I wouldn’t stop crying for hours, honestly hours. I thought that was the best day of my life but I was wrong. I knew Justin would be at Letterman, The View, Today Show and a meet and greet at Macys for his new perfume Someday! I asked my mom to go and she said there was a lot going on that night but I can skip the last day of school and we will go into the city at about 9:00AM and just go to every place that he would be and see if there were anymore Macy’s meet and greets available. The women said actually, this is our last one! I was in complete shock. I was convinced I wouldn’t be able to meet Justin but now I knew the next day I would be able to. I started crying and my mom was like “You’re already crying!? You didn’t even meet him yet!” I was so thankful! Later that day we went to David Letterman to see Justin and we missed him by 5 minutes. We decided not to go The View and only go to Letterman and the Today Show. The next morning me and my mom woke up extremely early and went over to the Today Show (we slept in the city that night). I wasn’t far back in the line at all! Since it wasn’t a concert he was doing an interview and he did it outside. We got put around a big square and waited for Justin to come out! He came out and did a interview and started meeting every single person there! He came up to me and I took the picture and we both looked at each other and smiled really big to each other! He was holding a bottle of Someday and said, WANT A SPRAY!? In the cutest, sweetest voice and I’m like yes of course!! He looked at me and smiled! But everyone was kinda pushing him to come closer to them so he had to go and he went to the next person but i went to give him a hug but there was a barricade in between us so it was pretty hard so he kinda just took my arm and held it for a few seconds and we both just looked at each other and at my arm and smiled! I was in such shock i forgot to ask him to sign my phone case! While he was in the middle of meeting the person next to me I said, “JUSTIN I FORGOT, CAN YOU PLEASE SIGN MY PHONE CASE!?” and he was like sure and signed it! Once again, I went ballistic! Later that day we went to Macy’s to meet Justin once more that day! I waited on the line for a little bit and while I was waiting I saw Adam Braun and Scooter and said hi to both of them! After waiting on that line for a while it was finally my turn! They told my mom no cameras or recording anything so she couldnt record when I met Justin. I saw Kenny and some other members of Justin’s team right before I went up to meet him and said hi to them and they were so nice! FInally a security guard screams NEXT! I was next. I walk over to Justin and he was like, “Hii! How are you?” and I’m like, “I’m good what about you?”He said he’s fine! I then said “Justin how are from when you fell outside?” He smiled really wide and said, ”I’m really good actually, thanks so much!” We took the picture and I wrapped my arms around him and he wrapped his around me also! We talked a little bit more and kids, security guards, honestly everyone near us was screaming at me so badly because me and Justin were talking for so long while everyone had like 0.5 seconds with him. I walked off and I gave him another giant hug and he gave me one right back! We smiled at each other as we said bye to each other and then i said I LOVE YOU! My mom looks at me and goes, “That was honestly incredible, I can’t even explain how amazing and happy both of you looked” and she was smiling so big and was so happy for me! I started hysterically crying… again. I saw my picture and couldn’t even believe my eyes, right there, was me hugging Justin Bieber. If I could explain to anyone how amazing these 2 days were to me, I would go on for years and years. I now have my leather jacket that I wore when I met Justin for the first time sitting on one of my cardboard cutouts of him that NO ONE is aloud to touch. The shirt I wore when I met Justin at the Today Show and the meet and greet necklace you had to wear when you met him, my signed phone case by him and a Someday water bottle that they gave out at Macys all sitting in a Shadow box! My name is Brittany. I have a sister, Alexandria, and a friend, Breanna. O ur Bieber experience happened on December 3, 2011 at Test Track in Epcot, Walt Disney World. Going to Walt Disney World was a joy for many reasons. It was my early 16th birthday celebration, my best friend was coming and celebrating her 15th, and my dad turned 41. While at Epcot that day I really wanted to go on Test Track. I was just really anxious to get on the ride. Of course it’s an hour wait so we got fast passes for later and waited in line. The line was forever. Finally we got on the ride and had to get off. We hop off the ride and my dad says, “Who’s the VIP?” Me ignoring him just shrugged. Then a few cast members hurried us along and I’m just like WTF? My dad was like, “Brittany, isn’t that the Bieber kid you’re in love with?” I just go, “Yeah right dad”. But then my friend says, “Sorry bro!” and says, “Nice Jacket.” Then the realization that Justin Bieber is really there hit us . I panicked. My sister is like, “DANG. MY HAIR IS A MESS.” All of a sudden this girl in line for Justin’s car screams at the top of her lungs. I couldn’t believe I had just walked by my idol; the person who’s music wakes me up in the morning and makes my day brighter. So while we were in the ride gift shop, I say, “Mom. We need proof!” We went back to the Fast Pass photos with my camera ready and an empty car comes on the screen. We thought WDW was playing it safe then suddenly, a photo of Jaden Smith, Justin Bieber, Scooter Braun, Kenny Hamilton, and two others comes on the screen! My mom hurries and takes the photo of the screen with the cast member yelling, “DON’T YOU DARE TAKE THAT PHOTO!!!!!!” I was flustered. It was actually him. Plenty of questions surround the strange Casey Anthony video diary, which mysteriously surfaced online a day ago, but two things are crystal clear: 1. Everyone’s talking about it, and 2. The whole thing is bizarre. No one seems to know why Anthony would record the thing, but even more strange is the lack of information regarding its release and Casey’s role in that. It almost magically appeared in the Facebook ether without explanation, even by the person who posted it. Even that anonymous person pleads ignorance. Casey Anthony Video Diary The video is taken in mirror image, thus making it harder to pinpoint her location, and the audio cuts in and out throughout, which may indicate editing. Some think it was released by Casey Anthony , unintentionally or intentionally, only to be yanked offline quickly, but not before one person discovered it. Others, chiefly Anthony’s attorney Cheney Mason, feel her computer was broken into by a sophisticated hacker. Mason told the Today Show as much: “If we find out who did it and how they did it, then they are going to be, I hope, answering to state and federal law enforcement agencies,” he said. Meanwhile, the original YouTube poster , who claims he didn’t steal it, spoke to E! News about how he got his hands on it … and is extremely vague. “I checked Facebook one day and I had a message saying, ‘I have some things that you might be interested in and I trust you with it,'” the poster said. He would not reveal his name for obvious reasons. Adding that he was sent the video by an unnamed acquaintance, he says, “They gave me the video because they trusted me with the video and the pictures.” “They knew I would not try and make money off it. And if it did leak onto the Internet, they would be authentic and that they were not fake Caseys.” The poster said before releasing it on YouTube, he blocked out names of specific people Casey mentioned before posting it onto his channel as “unlisted.” Asked why he released the clip at all, the poster said he simply wanted “Casey Anthony supporters to see that the secretive 25-year-old “is happy.” Casey Anthony has supporters? And despite the viral spread of the footage that he made possible, the poster insisted that Casey never intended the video for public consumption. “Casey did not want people to see these videos. Cheney Mason, her lawyer, says that Casey is doing the video diaries as a form of therapy.” “She has nobody. She has her dog and her webcam.” And yes, that was video diaries, plural. The poster confirmed he was in possession of a second video of Casey but does not plan on releasing it. The first video was up for four minutes before, the guy says, the Facebook group The People Against ‘We Support Casey Anthony’ found and reposted it. That is the alleged source of the widespread leak. “I did not mean for this to happen. I wish it would go away,” the poster said. “It snowballed out of control. I feel sorry for her because the media is ripping her and the video apart. They need to let the girl live. I respect the constitution and she was found not guilty.” The poster clarified that he does not know and has never met or been in contact with Casey Anthony, but claimed to know that Anthony has since altered her physical appearance from the blond bob and glasses look she had in the video. Dear Bossip , I dated a man off and on for almost 10 years. Our relationship was long distance and it was more off than on. In February, he moved to my city for our relationship and a month later I discovered I was pregnant. He freaked out and told me I had to choose between him and the baby I was carrying. I chose the baby. It wasn’t a hard choice. He began to tell me all the lies and things he had done in the past to get me to see that I did not want to raise a child with him. For example, he was 19 years old when we met, not 21 like he told me. And, he had even married someone during one of the times when we were not together. When I still refused to have an abortion he said he would not be a part of the child’s life and would only do what child support made him. When my daughter was born I didn’t invite him to the hospital. I let him know later and he demanded a blood test. After she was proven his, he wanted to work out child support payments between us, but did not want to see his daughter. I had already started the process of child support when we went to court. The judge ripped him a new on and thoroughly embarrassed him. He left in tears, but I think that it had more to do with the amount that he is required to pay. The judge gave me full custody of our daughter and gave him one supervised visitation day per week. The judge encouraged me to be open to supervised visits if he wanted them. I was given full custody because he sent me several emails begging me to, “kill ‘it’ so we could be together.” And, “This ‘thing’ was ruining our plans.” And, even after she was born he still referred to her as ‘it’ and ‘thing,’ and nothing more than a financial obligation, and the sooner he starts paying the sooner he’ll get done. So, the judge said, “Okay, you just want to pay and have no say, so be it.” That was 3 weeks ago and yesterday he called for his first visit. This visit is in my orders, and it says as long as it does not inconvenience me. So, I am not breaking the law if I don’t allow him a supervised visit. I can supervise him myself or allow him to use a court appointed supervision service. I am completely revolted by this person and I don’t trust him around me or our daughter. I feel like I’d need to be strapped, but I don’t want to have that on around my daughter. The judge only urged me to allow visitation, but said she understood if I had concerns and stopped just short of taking away his rights. I love our daughter so much words can’t describe it, and the selfish part of me is happy that she is legally all mine and that I have complete say so over her life, but I also know that children need both parents. Do you think it is possible that he could change enough to where I could allow him to visit our daughter or be around her alone? Concerned Mommie Dear Ms. Concerned Mommie , This is what I want you to do: I want you to start waking up extra early and watch the morning news shows like the Today Show , and Good Morning America . I want you to notice the current news stories about little children who are with one parent while on visitation and then all of a sudden, in the middle of the night, someone comes into the home and takes the child from their crib. Then, the next day the police are searching high and low looking for a mysterious child abductor who came into the home while everyone was sleeping and took the child, with no visible signs of forced entry, and the police, the community, and the parent who had the child are stumped of why and who would come into the home and take the child. And, you know what happens next? Fingers and evidence start pointing toward the parent who the child was left with, who is crying and acting all hysterical on the news talking about, “Please bring my baby back home. I love my child.” And, the child is found buried or in some lake or river not too far from the house. Then, we learn that the couple was in a bitter custody battle and case, and the only way to get rid of their financial problem, or to hurt and make the other parent angry they harm the child. Now, I ask you, he told you when you were pregnant that you had to choose between him and the baby, and when you chose the baby he told you that he wants no part of the child’s life, and that he would only do what child support made him. Then when the child was born he wanted a blood test, and when she was proven to be his he still didn’t want to see her, and he only refers to your child as ‘it,’ ‘thing,’ and nothing more than a financial obligation; now, I want to know if you think it’s okay to leave your daughter alone with this man? (I’m perched in front of the computer screen in my chair with my hand under my chin waiting for you to respond) You see, this is exactly why I don’t believe in long distance relationships. Especially being with someone for 10 years, and you don’t live in the same state, and he doesn’t put a ring on your finger or ask you to marry him in all that time. You don’t know what MoFo’s are doing while you’re not there. They can tell you anything at night when they do their routine check-in call. Girl, puhlease. I don’t believe that you can be that oblivious and naïve and be with someone for 10 years, and then they all of a sudden they show you their ass for you to kiss, and you happily oblige. (Does anyone know how to do a brain cleanse of nut juice?) You see ladies, this is what happens to your brain on d**k. You live in a fog of contentment and so-called love. You’re disillusioned about your relationship, and you’ll keep holding out faith and hope that the man you spent time and energy on will one day, some day, be the man you want him to be. You’ll even consider leaving your child alone with him even after he’s told you that he doesn’t want any parts of her life, or to be acknowledged as the father. You will push and push and push him to be in the child’s life, and then I’ll be watching the morning shows with you on the screen falling out and screaming because someone took your child in the middle of the night while they were at their father’s house. Ms. Lady, don’t you leave your child alone with that man. Don’t force him to be in the child’s life if he doesn’t want to. And, if you need to carry your .45; Magnum; or pistol while you’re supervising the visit with him, then so be it. And, for extra precautionary measure you should have someone from the courts to accompany you. Therefore, both of you can put caps in his ass if he should decide to do something stupid or reckless. SMH at 30 people trusting this person to do these shady surgeries on them: She was known as “The Duchess,’’ someone who could perform cosmetic magic on a massage table using a syringe and silicone. For more than a decade, her name was whispered in South Florida’s transgender community, having performed perhaps hundreds of procedures that transformed men’s breasts into double Ds or dainty derrieres into curvy wonders.Authorities now say “The Duchess,’’ a transgender woman whose real name is Oneal Ron Morris, may have practiced her black market plastic surgery not just in South Florida, but across the country.Twenty to 30 people from as far away as Indiana have come forward, saying they were victims of Morris’ elusive scam, according to Miami Gardens police Detective Michael Dillon. So far, Morris and an accomplice, Corey Eubanks, face felony charges in connection with just two South Florida cases where women nearly died from her injections, which were actually a toxic brew of substances found in the tire repair product “Fix-a-Flat.” Morris “made me into a monster,’’ said Rajee Narinesingh, who received several procedures from “The Duchess” in 2005 and came forward after Morris’ recent arrest. Narinesingh, a transgender woman who lives in Hollywood, said Morris assured her she had performed hundreds of successful procedures, most of them using what she called “medical silicone.” Narinesingh was delighted after the first set of injections, which made her appear more feminine. She paid for additional injections into her face, breasts, buttocks and hips.Narinesingh, who was born a man but has always felt more like a woman, said friends who underwent similar procedures recommended The Duchess when Narinesingh wanted to feminize some of her features.“There was a sisterhood of trust. She was part of the transgender community herself,’’ Narinesingh explained of Morris, 31, who also had her own buttocks beefed up with injections.“There was a feeling that she won’t do anything bad, she knows what she is doing.’’ “The doctor pulled pieces of cement out of the side of my face,’’ said Narinesingh, a 5-foot-11, brown-haired woman, bullied since she was a child for being different from the other kids at her school in Philadelphia where she grew up.Narinesingh, a public speaker on transgender issues, said she felt compelled to go public with her story in hopes of helping others avoid what she went through.She said transgender people tend to use alternative treatments because they feel discriminated against or even abused by mainstream doctors. Once, when she was having heart pains, she panicked — not because she feared she was having a heart attack, but because she was going to have to go to a hospital.“When you live this life sometimes you feel very alone,’’ Narinesingh said. Several years ago, she said she was brutally beaten by a group of thugs in Miami who taunted her for being transgender. She never reported it to authorities because she was afraid police would victimize her again. Brown — who is not transgender — also heard about Morris through friends. Eubanks, 40, quoted her a price of $1,000, which she told him she could not afford.They settled on $700 for 12 injections, six to each side. Prior to Mother’s Day 2010, she went to Eubanks’ house in Miami Gardens to have the procedure done, according to court documents.She was asked to lay face down on a massage table. Morris told Brown to relax.“This is my profession, don’t worry,’’ she allegedly told the victims, according to the arrest affidavit.The victim saw a tube of Super Glue and a red soft pack lunch bag. Out of the top of the bag was a black hose. She also saw a syringe.Morris told her not to look, so she just laid down. The injections were so painful she asked Morris to stop before she received all of them, promising to pay the full price anyway. After each injection, the victim said she saw Morris take a piece of gauze and squeeze Super Glue on it. She then glued it to the injection site. Within hours, she became very sick. She ended up at a hospital in Tampa, where doctors eventually diagnosed her with multiple abscesses and a staph infection. She underwent several surgeries, including blood transfusions and was hospitalized for over a month. The doctors took samples that showed the substance injected into her backside mirrored the ingredients in a Pennzoil tire-repair product called “Fix-a-Flat.’’It took investigators over a year to piece the case together, in part because victims have been embarrassed to come forward. Thus far, Morris and Eubanks have been charged with two felony counts of practicing medicine without a license with serious injury. They have pleaded not guilty and are out on bond.More charges could be forthcoming, Dillon said. “There have been tons of phone calls from people from all over. Any of them that aren’t local we are sending to the state Department of Health. They are helping us coordinate with police departments,’’ Dillon said.It’s hard to say how many victims are out there, Dillon said. Many of the callers who say they were patients of Morris also say they have friends who were patients. Some people reported paying as much as $3,000, others as little as a couple of hundred dollars.Both Morris and Eubanks have long arrest sheets, listing charges in connection with forging checks, credit card scams and grand theft. Eubanks served six years in prison, according to court records.Narinesingh said she hopes that her story helps others. She admits she nearly made a big mistake in her quest to be more attractive and feminine. It’s a trap, she said, that’s not exclusive to the transgender community. It’s the final hours of 2011 winding down, getting ready for a bright and shiny 2012. And what better way to welcome the new year than with another round of celebrity New Year’s resolutions? MTV News recently sought out a few of our favorite movers and shakers, including Mac Miller , Florence Welch and the boys of Blink-182 , to see what they’re resolving to achieve next year. “I make resolutions every five minutes and then I never stick to them,” Welch admitted. “My New Year’s resolution is to be more patient and observant,” said 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MC nominee Roscoe Dash. “I feel like if you’re patient, you’re going to be more observant anyway because you’ve got nothing but time on your hands.” “[I resolve] to have more fun, gain some weight and I want to make a difference in the world. I’m shaving my head next year for charity,” 2011 VMA House Artist Jessie J revealed. “I just want to bring more good [to the world].” Fellow Hottest Breakthrough MC nominee French Montana vowed to keep on keepin’ on. “Definitely not to change,” he said of his resolution. “Everything I’ve been doing has been working so far, so definitely not to change.” “My New Year’s resolution is to be healthier in every aspect of my life,” Mac Miller said with a smile. We’re impressed by all the warm and fuzzy do-good-esque commitments, but Tom Delonge of Blink 182 gets special commendation for his specificity and honesty. “I want to get another tattoo,” Delonge announced. “But I need to exercise before I get it because I want to be able to show it off and look really awesome. It’s mostly on my genital area,” he joked. “No, no, I want to do a back piece.” “Travis, do you have a New Year’s resolution?” Blink 182 frontman Mark Hoppus asked his bandmate Travis Barker. “I’m down with Tom’s,” Barker said, prompting Hoppus to also throw his support behind Delonge. “Our New Year’s resolution is for Tom to get a back piece,” he said. Before making those resolutions a reality, many celebrities will be out and about on New Year’s Eve looking to break loose at a number of big New Year’s parties . And MTV will also be getting in on the fun during “NYE in NYC 2012,” which will feature Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Mac Miller and more. The show airs live at 11 p.m. ET on Saturday from Times Square, where the famous ball drops.

Theirs was a whirlwind romance: They were engaged less than four months after they started dating, were married 10 months later in an elaborate ceremony in India, and now, after months of endless baby and breakup rumors, are parting ways. “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage,” Brand said in a statement. “I will always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.” Like so many Hollywood couples before them, their flame burned hot and fast. Here’s a look back at the many milestone moments in Perry and Brand’s relationship. September 7, 2008 : Brand met Perry when he was hosting the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards . “Get Him to the Greek” director Nick Stoller set up a shoot at the VMAs to snag some fun celebrity cameos for the film, in which the British comedian stars. Stoller lined up Christina Aguilera, Pink and Perry, who had immediate chemistry with Brand. Later, following Perry’s performance of “I Kissed a Girl” at the VMAs, Brand joked, “I was so inspired by Katy Perry’s song’s message that I’m currently going through nine ChapSticks a day and my penis has never felt more moisturized.” There was only one problem: Perry wasn’t single — she was still dating Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy. September 13, 2009 : A year later, at the 2009 VMAs, however, was a very different story. Perry and McCoy had parted ways, and longtime ladies’ man Brand, who was back for his second time as host, was single as well when both returned to the VMA stage. They flirted their way through rehearsals for the show, and rumors that they were an item began soon thereafter. October 7, 2009 : Though things reportedly got hot and heavy pretty quickly after the VMAs, Perry and Brand were not spotted together publicly for nearly three weeks, making their debut as a couple at a Fendi party at Paris Fashion Week. December 31, 2009 : On an extended holiday vacation, Brand proposed on New Year’s Eve at a tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan, India, and Perry said yes. A week earlier, while visiting the Taj Mahal, she tweeted, “He built this for me. So when do I start walking the streets naked singing that Alanis song?” (meaning “Thank U,” about time Alanis Morissette spent in India). August 2010 : Talking to Rolling Stone while promoting her multiplatinum, hit-machine record Teenage Dream, Perry admitted her religious upbringing sometimes caused conflict between herself and Brand. “I am sensitive to Russell taking the Lord’s name in vain and to Lady Gaga putting a rosary in her mouth,” she told the mag. “I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen.” October 23, 2010 : Perry and Brand get married in an elaborate ceremony at the Aman-i-Khas luxury resort in India, adjacent to the tiger sanctuary where he proposed. The wedding capped off days of festivities in the couple’s honor, including a Bollywood-themed party and tours of the sanctuary. “Russell Brand and Katy Perry are overjoyed to confirm that they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23,” the couple said in a statement to MTV News. “The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples’ closest family and friends, was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family [Katy’s maiden name]. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India.” April 7, 2011 : During a co-hosting stint on “Live With Regis and Kelly,” Brand says he and Perry are as happy as can be despite ongoing rumors to the contrary, but admits that the constant attention from the paparazzi does put stress on their relationship. Katy Perry was chosen as MTV’s 2011 Artist of the Year. November 11, 2011 : Appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to tout the end of her successful California Dreams Tour, Perry told DeGeneres she wanted kids with Russell . “I would love to have children. I think that’s one of the reasons you get married, and especially to the person that you marry. You think, ‘Hmmm, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent,’ ” Perry said. “But I’m not sure it’s yet. We’ll see, you know?” During the sit-down, she admitted that she and Brand worked hard to see each other while she was on tour but that it was often a challenge. “Two weeks, that’s the longest we ever go. Anything longer than that is not fun.” November 22, 2011 : On the heels of taking home a special award for having scored five #1 singles from one album ( Teenage Dream ) at the American Music Awards, Perry was forced to respond to fashionistas claiming she was sporting a small baby bump under her pink dress, telling Hollyscoop , “Hell no!” when asked if children were in her near future. November 30, 2011 : Just days after the pregnancy chatter began to die down, rumors that the pair were through began to crop up across the Internet, forcing Perry to take to Twitter to deny the divorce rumblings. “First I’m pregnant & then I’m divorced. What am I ‘All My Children’?! #ericakane #pshhh #ifihadadollarforeverytime,” she tweeted . December 2, 2011 : It was Russell’s turn to address the rumors when he visited “Ellen” earlier this month. Denying the split, the British comic said, “I’ve treated the whole Internet now like it’s a wicked little liar. Yeah. I am really happily married. I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge.” December 25, 2011 : Katy was spotted splashing around in the ocean in Hawaii without Russell and not wearing her wedding ring . Just days later, Brand’s ring finger was bare when photographers caught him out walking in London. December 30, 2011 : With the new year looming, Brand filed for divorce from Perry in Los Angeles Superior Court citing “irreconcilable differences.” No separation date was given, and representatives for Brand and Perry have not yet responded to requests for further comment.
