Lindsey Vonn, Husband to Divorce

Olympic skiing gold medalist Lindsey Vonn is officially back on the market. The 27-year-old has filed for divorce from Thomas Vonn, Yahoo! reports . “This is an extremely difficult time in my personal life and I hope the media and my fans can respect my need for privacy on this matter,” she said in a statement. Thomas Vonn, a former Olympic skier himself, had been her chief adviser and scheduler. “[I will] continue to be coached by the U.S. ski team,” Lindsey added. Their relationship caused a rift between Lindsey and her father Alan Kildow, due in part to their nine-year age difference. Kildow, who was replaced by Thomas as her coach and mentor, was not invited to the couple’s 2007 wedding. Lindsey is one of five women to have won World Cup races in all five disciplines of alpine skiing: Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom, Slalom and Combined. The Minnesotan won the gold medal in downhill at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Equally impressively, SI published these ludicrously hot Lindsey Vonn photos . [Photo: WENN.com]

For Discussion: Is Herman “Big Daddy” Cain Unfit To Lead The United States Of America? [Video]

Would a man who says “Got all this stuff twirling around in my head” when asked about Libya and foreign policy be the right person for commander-in-chief?? Via NYTimes: HARD as it has been to watch, harder still to live through, the spectacle of Herman Cain’s dodging sexual harassment allegations is a real step up for the status of women. Their sexual treatment is now part of the open political process, rather than a smarmy rumor to be passed among cognoscenti in the dark. The fact that what several women have said might register in a presidential campaign — as if women’s sexual mistreatment at work might really matter — could be a potential game changer, even though the prevailing dynamics of sex, race and power that made sexual harassment so difficult to denounce in the first place are amply on display. The firestorm surrounding Clarence Thomas’s defense to Anita F. Hill’s allegations in his confirmation hearing for the United States Supreme Court 20 years ago not only falsely set up race and gender as mutually exclusive and opposing forces, but also framed subsequent defenses to sexual harassment charges by Bill Clinton and others as mere personal peccadillo or political fodder. Predictably, in this latest remix, political intrigue and racial grandstanding, combined with vicious attacks on the accusers, have obscured the principal inquiry: the leadership potential of a presidential candidate. Sexual harassment is not a Democratic or Republican issue, a liberal or conservative issue, or a black or white one, although those politics can shape it. As a consequence, it does not present a test of group loyalty but a chance to evaluate the reported behavior of someone who seeks to govern. Mr. Cain’s assertion that the public attention to these reports is “a high tech lynching” threatens to insulate his behavior from the deeper assessment it demands. Like Mr. Thomas, whose elevation to the Supreme Court was facilitated by this statement, Mr. Cain rides a wave of suspicion and empathy. It would be wrong to dismiss the appeal of his defense, given the common dimension of public sexual humiliation and how deeply “lynching” resonates as a metaphor for black men in the real context of the sexual politics of racial hierarchy. But neither Mr. Cain nor Mr. Thomas stands in the shoes of those crucified for offenses against the powerful. No one was, or will be, killed and hung from a tree for defending the prerogatives of the top 1 percent. And it is germane that women of all races face a specific kind of public sexual humiliation for reporting their abuse at the hands of those with power over their employment. This is a major reason that so many, rather than speaking out, have opted for silence, and in overwhelming numbers still do. Simply put, women do not want to be pornography. Remarkably but not atypically, Ms. Bialek’s Republicanism and her personal respect for Mr. Cain remain intact. Women who come out of the shadows, like Ms. Bialek and Ms. Hill before her, are not silenced as others can be, including by confidentiality agreements routinely forced on them by companies as the price of relief. These women want and expect the harasser to man up: acknowledge what he did, genuinely apologize, and change, meaning never do it again. And the failure of a candidate to do so should not be considered a winning political strategy but instead regarded as presumptive evidence of unfitness to lead. That would be a step toward real progress. Our leaders owe us nothing less. Thoughts on this??? Peep the video above of your boy Herman “Black GOP” Cain getting all flustered when asked about Libya… “Okay, Libya,” Cain said — then paused, looking downward. “President Obama supported the uprising — correct? President Obama called for the removal of Qaddafi. Just want to make sure we’re talking about the same thing before I say, yes I agreed, or no I didn’t agree.” “I do not agree with the way he handled it, for the following reasons — No, that’s a different one. (Pauses) I gotta go back, see. (Pauses) Got all this stuff twirling around in my head. Specifically, what are you asking me, did I agree or not disagree (sic) with Obama?” “I’m a much more deliberate decision-maker,” Cain said. “That is a point that I keep coming back to. Some people want to say, well, as President you’re supposed to know everything. No you don’t. I believe in having all of the information, as much of it as I possibly can, rather than making a decision or making a decision about whether I totally agreed, and didn’t agree, when I wasn’t privy to the entire situation. There might be some things that might cause me to feel differently. “So I’m not trying to hedge on the questions. That’s just my nature as a businessman. I need to know the facts as much as possible. I need to hear all of the alternatives (takes a sip of water). For example, someone — you might have mentioned that even in the administration, there were different views. I would want to hear all of those views, look at all the information, and then I make the decision as the Commander-in-Chief. So this is the whole point I’m trying to make.” Discuss… Source

Mariah Carey Explains Jab Wasn’t About Kim Kardashian

‘I don’t read the tabloids unless it’s about me,’ new Jenny Craig rep says. By Jocelyn Vena Mariah Carey Photo: Theo Wargo/ Getty Images When Mariah Carey sat down with Gayle King to announce she is the new face and body of Jenny Craig, she also opened up a bit about her personal life, including life as a new mom to “dem babies,” cooking for her famous friends and married life. When asked how she and Nick Cannon keep their marriage strong, she explained, “There’s no teams; me and Nick are the same team always … Sometimes we make each other mad. That’s why we’re not divorced after four months. I’m just saying this Hollywood thing … did I say something that is wrong?” The statement had many in the room laughing, given the fact that Kim Kardashian recently made headlines for breaking up with her hubby, Kris Humphries, after even less time. However, Carey insisted she wasn’t referring to anyone in particular. “First of all, I don’t read the tabloids unless it’s about me. And even then, when it is about me, I try not to read it unless it’s good,” Carey told “Extra.” “I don’t look at these people. “I don’t even know what it is, but I do know that marriages come and go really quickly in Hollywood.” Carey famously divorced record executive Tommy Mattola in 1998, and the pop star says when she married Cannon in 2008, she did it with the intention of staying married. “A lot of people have high-profile moments, and then they get a divorce, and I’m sure it’s very painful for them,” she said. “My thing is: I don’t want that. I got married to stay married. I want some stability for our kids, and Nick feels the same way. “Not only are we both kind of jokesters, for the lack of a better word, we are also kind of provincial in that way. I think we both believe in trying to make it through. I’m proud of it.” Related Photos Kim Kardashian And Kris Humphries: A Whirlwind Romance Related Artists Mariah Carey

Michael Jackson House Contents Up For Sale

Auction items from rented home include bed on which Jackson died. By Gil Kaufman Michael Jackson Photo: Getty Images Michael Jackson ‘s fans are notorious for their rabid worship of the late pop star. But will they pony up big bucks to own the bed on which their icon died? We will find out on December 17, when Julien’s Auctions Gallery will auction off the contents of the rented Holmby Hills, California, home that Jackson was renting at the time of his death. Though the announcement of the sale does not mention Jackson by name, it lists a variety of fine art and furnishings from the residence, including a gilded Louis XV headboard (est. $3,000/$4,000) and a $30,000 watercolor painting by Maurice Utrillo. An Associated Press story revealed that the sale of contents of 100 North Carolwood Drive will comprise items left behind by Jackson. The singer passed away in the home on June 25, 2009, and on Monday his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was found guilty of one felony count of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death. Among the pieces of evidence brought up by prosecution witnesses attesting to Murray’s medical incompetence was the fact that he gave Jackson CPR on a bed instead of a hard surface. The hundreds of items up for sale in the auction include the queen-size bed where Jackson slept. In an ironic twist, just as Murray was getting news of the guilty verdict, reporters were being taken through the three-story home on a private tour in order to publicize the auction. “We want to preserve the history of these items,” said auctioneer Darren Julien of the contents, which include paintings and sculptures Jackson surrounded himself with in the rented home as he tuned up for his planned “This is It” comeback tour. The house, where Jackson lived with his three children from December 2008 until his death, is also separately up for sale. One of the most-personal items on the block ($400) is a chalkboard that hung in the home’s kitchen that features a note from the kids that reads, “I (heart) Daddy. SMILE, it’s for free.” A mirror on an antique armoire in Jackson’s private bedroom featured a message the star wrote to himself that read, “TRAIN, perfection, March April. FULL OUT May,” a reference to the grueling rehearsal schedule the 50-year-old was keeping up as he prepared for the string of concerts that were to begin in London in July 2009. Reporters also saw a “medication room,” the bedroom shown in evidence photos at Murray’s trial, where fans can pick up upholstered chairs smudged with Jackson’s makeup. An attorney for Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson said that the family is aware of the auction and has made certain that the event does not use Michael’s name or likeness to help sell the items; Jackson’s name is not mentioned in the promotional materials for the auction. Chelsea Handler and Andre Balazs: It’s Over!

Chelsea Handler and Andre Balazs have called it quits after less than a year of dating, her rep confirmed earlier today. The couple first went public in May. Handler told Piers Morgan Tonight about her relationship then: “I’m seeing someone now, but, I have spent so much time exposing my personal life to everybody that I finally am in a situation where I feel like it’s disrespectful to another individual … I’ve learned to respect somebody else’s privacy.” Handler, whose exes include 50 Cent, Animal Planet’s Dave Salmoni and Comcast CEO Ted Harbert, explained, “It’s not about me, ’cause I would like to make fun of him as much as possible, but he has kids, so I have to be nice.” When asked whether she was in love with Andre Balazs , she replied: “I have very strong feelings.” Too bad they didn’t last longer, but what are you gonna do. Drake: I Made Take Care ‘My Way’

‘I feel like I’ve earned the right to do it my way,’ Drizzy told MTV News before November 15 LP leaked onto Net. By Rob Markman Drake Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Rather than rant and complain about his album leaking on Sunday night, Drake accepts that it’s just a normal part of the record biz. After a nearly complete version of Take Care (“The Ride” and the LP’s bonus cuts seem to be missing) hit the Internet, Drizzy took to Twitter to address the early release. “Listen, enjoy it, buy it if you like it…and take care until next time,” he wrote . Although TC is officially slated to hit retail on November 15, the album has spawned numerous trending topics on Twitter and has dominated hip-hop’s social conversation over the last 24 hours. Rather than an overblown production befitting of rap’s fastest rising star, on Take Care, the OVO general scales back and puts the focus on his native Toronto and his relationship with the city. The sophomore LP, recorded mostly in Canada with Drizzy’s right-hand producer Noah “40” Shebib , is a deliberate toast to his town. “That’s one of the biggest stories behind this album, it’s either my way or we’re not doing it — in everything,” Drake told MTV News back in October. “Every photo shoot, every video, every step I’m taking I feel like I’ve earned the right to do it my way, so part of doing it my way I want you to see who I am really around.” And his TO crew may not be as clean-cut as Drake’s radio-friendly music may have led fans to believe. Opening with the melancholy “Over My Dead Body,” Drake sets things off with a shot to his detractors and tells how his success ultimately supports his people in the struggle. “Just performed at a bar mitzvah over in the States/ Used half of the money to beat my brother’s case,” he spits. On “Crew Love,” Drake gives Toronto upstart the Weeknd a push. Despite the song’s calming melody, there is something rather menacing about it once the Young Money star begins to rattle off his bars. After going on about taking his goons on vacation, Drake threatens violence with the coyness of a mafia don when he rhymes, “I got a lot of friends to come up off the strip for me/ The same ones that will come up off the hip for me.” It’s not unlike the sing-songy line in “Headlines” where Drizzy begs the haters “You gon’ make someone around me catch a body like that.” By now, Drake’s story is well-known: Child actor from Canada drops a couple of mixtapes, one of which makes its way to Lil Wayne, who then invites the young MC on tour and signs him to his Young Money label. But on “Look What You’ve Done,” Drake takes his personal narrative and adds all of the necessary color. He starts off talking to his disapproving mother, “We argue about spendin’ money on bullsh–/ And you tell me I’m just like my father, my one button you push it.” Maybe we’ve had Drake pegged wrong all along? Maybe it’s all just entertainment? Regardless, on Take Care, Drake shows a different side than we’ve previously seen from him. “I show love and get love back, and I think that’s very important for people to see,” he told MTV News. “Just know that’s our town, that’s our place, so that was important for me to really display that consistently on this album.” “Underground Kings” and the Just Blaze-produced “Lord Knows,” featuring Rick Ross, finds the rapper planting his rap flag, while the Rihanna-assisted title track is a pulsating dance track that aims to take Drizzy past the confines of hip-hop and R&B. Still, with all the sonic variations on Take Care, there’s one common thread. Throughout the LP, the Young Money virtuoso consistently puts on for the city that he’s from. Welcome to Toronto. Ashley Greene Push Up Bra Helps Her Blue Dress of the Day

Ashley Greene is rocking a seriously intense push-up bra…the kind that makes her tits look like implants, even though you know a girl who rides off a shitty movie targeted to teen girls to masturbate to in her career, when pretending to not ride the Jonas brothers for the same target market in her personal life, all wholesome and Jesus loving for the sake of moneymaking…wouldn’t get implants….but why worry about that when you can stare at what her work-out obsessed body would look like with implants…something that’s usually better than the real thing, since implants fucking suck and ruin tits…..Too bad she’s a Jesus lover and not a Jesus Martinez lover….Cuz I’d like to have a religious experience all over her face…if you know what I mean…Good times….
