Heidi Montag: Literally Scarred For Life!

The Hills star Heidi Montag sought perfection when she underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day late last year. Safe to say that didn’t work out. “Parts of my body definitely look worse than they did presurgery,” she tells Life & Style in the tabloid’s new cover story. “This is not what I signed up for.” That’s just too bad… except that it’s EXACTLY WHAT SHE SIGNED UP FOR. You don’t go for a routine physical and stumble into this by accident, idiot. Look what they did to me! Feel sorry for me! Only Heidi Montag would try to have a plastic surgeon make her into a human Barbie doll , then decide that might have been going a little overboard, then try to play the victim and milk it for even more publicity and money later. Makes it difficult to feel very sympathetic, we’ll be honest. In the magazine, she details her plastic surgery disaster : Unsightly scars. Red inflammation. Uneven body parts. Lumpy legs. Jagged marks. Botched liposuction. For Heidi, this decision has left indelible marks. LITERALLY. “The big dark mark from my chin reduction is probably the most noticeable. The absolute worst is on my breasts, and the scariest is below my butt cheeks,” Heidi says. “People have fewer scars from car accidents than I have on my body.” The only difference? No one gets into car accidents on purpose. At least she admits, to her credit, that she really blew it: “I would love to not be ‘plastic girl’ or whatever they call me. Surgery ruined my career and my personal life and just brought a lot of negativity into my world. I wish I could jump into a time machine and take it all back,” the ‘Tag laments. “Instead, I’m always going to feel like Edward Scissorhands.” Don’t be so dramatic, Heids … the career was already over .

Lindsay Lohan Plays Victim Card in Rehab Brawl; Dawn Holland Fired By Betty Ford

Lindsay Lohan claims the Betty Ford staff member who alleges battery by the star “had it out for her” and was so abusive that she made Lohan cry. Dawn Holland, who was just fired, says otherwise. A chemical dependency technician, Holland says Lindsay attacked her physically and caused her to sprain her arm so severely she’s on workers’ comp. Lindsay is telling her friends and family, when she returned to the house, Holland grabbed her abruptly and pushed her so hard, Lindsay began to cry. AS ALWAYS : Lindsay Lohan is the victim! [Photo: Pacific Coast News] Lohan also notes, for starters, that she wasn’t even with her two roommates hours before the incident that triggered the staffer’s battery allegation. Lindsay says was out getting her hair done … around midnight. That’s obviously true. Wherever she was, she broke curfew and all hell broke loose. Holland says Lohan refused to take a breathalyzer, whereas the troubled star says she actually asked Holland to give her a test but Holland refused. That’s when things got really heated . Holland says in the heat of the argument, Lindsay “threw the phone … I threw up my left hand to block it and then she grabbed my right hand and tried to snatch the phone that I had up to my ear, then called me a ‘C**T B***H.'” Holland says she told Lindsay, whose code name at the clinic is Bella G., “You know I could press charges against you for putting your hands on me.” “And she replied ‘Oh, you just want money.'” Lindsay Lohan claims there were not only witnesses that saw it, there are surveillance cameras to prove her story. Time will tell if that’s the case. For what it’s worth, Dawn Holland was embroiled in a bitter divorce last year. Her husband accused her of battery following allegations of cheating. Dawn’s husband claims she “lost control, broke up a lot of my personal property and attacked me, kicking me in the leg and causing a contusion.” For her part, Dawn claims her hubby viciously attacked her on several occasions. Now divorced, she has a restraining order against her ex-husband.

Alina Kabayeva, Rumored Mistress of Vladimir Putin, Lands Cover of Russian Vogue

Sarah Palin may be able to see Russia from her house, but don’t count on the professional celebrity to move there any time soon. This former governor wouldn’t be able to handle a spotlight on her personal life that doesn’t net her a hefty sum. Indeed, there’s clearly no privacy at all for political figures in that nation, as Alina Kabayeva graces the January 2011 cover of Russian Vogue. Who the heck is Alina Kabayeva? She’s the alleged mistress of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, a 27-year old former Olympic gymnast who many believe is the mother of Putin’s love child. Somewhere, Levi Johnston has seen this magazine cover and has booked himself a flight to Russia.

Elizabeth Edwards Laid to Rest in N.C. Funeral

For 75 minutes yesterday, Elizabeth Edwards, who died this week at age 61, was eulogized as smart, funny, authentic, outspoken and always optimistic. Above all, she was passionate and a fierce lover of her family. “She would do anything in the world to protect all of us, no matter the personal cost was to her,” said her daughter Cate Edwards , eulogizing Elizabeth. The late Elizabeth Edwards (1949-2010) . “She has been a light house to all of us. She’s always been that source of light to us. Every lesson she has taught us has become part of our ethic.” Her estranged husband, former Sen. John Edwards, joined more than 1,200 mourners at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Edenton, N.C. The political wife, lawyer and author’s close friend Hargrave McElroy and former UNC Law School classmate Glenn Bergenfield also spoke Saturday. Unfortunately, the public memorial was not without controversy. A small group of protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan., known for picketing military funerals, demonstrated near the church. On the other side of the street, reports The News Observer , stood a much larger group, holding signs with the optimistic words “hero” and “hope.” The wife of the two-time Democratic presidential candidate died at her Chapel Hill home Tuesday after battling cancer for the last six years. “Today we have lost the comfort of Elizabeth’s presence, but she remains the heart of this family,” the Edwards family said in a statement. Elizabeth separated from John in January after he acknowledged he fathered a child with Rielle Hunter , a videographer and campaign aide. May Elizabeth rest in peace.

Religious scholar to decide on the future of the Internet

Hahaha the atheists are worried about having Christian views (ewww) forced them and the redneck conservitards are screaming about Shakira Law and the evil Mooooslems. A Talmud Ace Tackles Thorny Issue of Net Neutrality Jewish Daily Forward Read more: http://www.forward.com/articles/133806/#ixzz17qbgdbi9 The answer to this question — which affects the flow of information and culture, the growth of the economy and the future of communications, education and democracy itself — rests largely in the hands of Julius Genachowski, a 48-year-old Jew from Long Island with knowledge of Talmud and an appointment to one of the most critical policy posts in Washington. If his December 1 proposal to address Internet regulation is any indication, Genachowski, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission since June 2009, is seeking a solution in a very Jewish way: He issued a compromise in the pitched debate over the Internet’s openness, a concept often referred to as net neutrality. Genachowski’s talmudic streak was evident in his recent proposal on regulating the Internet. In a speech December 1, Genachowski outlined what he called the “rules of the road” for regulation. They included an obligation of transparency for ISPs, the prohibition of ISPs from blocking content, gutting “unreasonable discrimination” on the flow of Internet traffic, and allowing providers to charge different prices for different amounts of broadband use and different speeds. In short, the proposal would have the FCC regulate telecommunications corporations more than the companies would have liked, but less than consumer groups felt was necessary for preserving an open Internet Although reluctant to discuss his personal religious practices publicly, Genachowski is proud and open about the cultural component of his Judaism. In fact, he began his remarks at his Senate confirmation hearing by telling the story of his parents, Lithuanians who fled the Nazis. His family’s roots are deeply enmeshed in the Jewish world. The chairman’s brother, Joey Genachowski, is president of the Hebrew Academy of Long Beach and a board member of the Young Israel of Woodmere, both on Long Island. His first cousin once removed is Rabbi Menachem Genack, CEO of the Orthodox Union’s Worldwide Kosher Division. His great uncle, Eliyahu Moshe Genachowski, served in the Israeli Knesset. Genack told the Forward that the Genachowskis can even be traced back to the students of the storied Vilna Gaon, the Vilnius Genius. added by: maasanova

Kings Of Leon’s ‘Pyro’ Video: All Drunks Go To Heaven

Band’s new video is a solemn affair with a grandiose ending. By James Montgomery Kings of Leon’s Caleb Followill (file) Photo: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images If you’re looking for cheery Christmastime viewing, perhaps it’s best to avoid the Kings of Leon’s brand-new “Pyro” video, four-plus minutes of drunks and depression that, ultimately, gets (sorta) uplifting — but, wow, what a psychic slog it is to get to that point. The clip takes place entirely in a seedy bar — kind of like the Kings said it would last month — one filled entirely with downtrodden dregs: stumbling drunkards, lecherous lotharios, broken-down bikers, each of them lost in their own boozy worlds, alone together in the room. Their stupors are momentarily broken by the arrival of a young man, who comes in out of the cold to get a drink and then heroically interjects himself in a fight between a burly man and his terrified girlfriend. He is rewarded for his bravery by getting beaten up — first by the man in question, and then by his surly friends, who take turns pounding on him before tossing him through a mirror while a dead-eyed stripper slowly gyrates away (of course there’s a dead-eyed stripper in this place). The sundry of drunks cheer this savagery on and even the bartender gets in on the act, tossing one of the men a baseball bat, presumably to finish off the job. Meanwhile, the band — played by the Kings themselves — plays on, watching the brutality unfold around them. But then, something sorta miraculous happens. Our hero — flat on his back — slowly begins to rise. His wounds magically heal. He opens his eyes and ascends to the heavens. His assailants can’t believe it, and they recoil in shock. Soon, everyone else in the bar begins levitating too — first the purer souls (a caretaker, a terrified young woman, the dead-eyed stripper) and then the rest of the room. The clip ends with everyone slowly floating off into the great beyond, perhaps freed from their personal prisons by this single act of heroism. Or maybe they’re all just really wasted. Either way, that mass ascension manages to put a slightly affirming — not to mention incredibly artistic — capper on the video. “Pyro” is a solemn, sometimes grotesque thing, but there’s a strange beauty to it too. Like a diamond broche on a barroom floor, it sparkles despite all the grime it’s coated in. It may not be the easiest thing to watch, but it’s ultimately rewarding — chill-inducingly so. Drink up.
