Emily McCombs: The Mr. Skin Skinterview

Asylum.com’s “Token Girl” Opens Up for a Q&A on Celebrity T&A Mr. Skin has long admired AOL’s guy-centric entertainment site, Asylum , and one major reason (or is it two) has been Emily McCombs and her uproarious video reports from “ A Woman’s Perspective .” Raven-maned, tattooed funnylady Emily grew up in suburban Oklahoma (“It’s the middle of the Bible Belt,” she notes, “and secular entertainment was frowned upon, so any nudity I managed to see on television or in movies was enjoyed with one eye on the door, one finger on the channel change button, and a sizable dollop of guilt”). At present, Emily resides in New York City where, for kicks, she sings in an all-girl barbershop quartet. She swears. Alas, Asylum will be closing up shop this week. However, Emily will continue to amuse and inspire online via “A Woman’s Perspective” (though it will be called something else). Do be on the lookout for her and dive on in now to her Mr. Skin Skinterview. *************************************** What’s the first movie and/or TV nude scene you remember seeing? The breast-baring scene at the end of Just One of the Guys made a real impression on me. I loved that movie so much I would pretend to be sick and stay home from school when it was going to be on television. As for more serious nudity, I found Sliver very sexually enlightening as a young adult. There’s something like 50,000 nude scenes in that film, and the creepy/sexy plot that Billy Baldwin is spying on his female tenants with video cameras everywhere. What’s your all-time favorite nude scene? Everybody made a big deal out of Halle Berry ’s nude scene in Monster’s Ball , but I love the scene with Amber Rules as the hooker who strips down all matter-of-factly and takes it from Heath Ledger from behind. I don’t think it’s supposed to be hot, necessarily, but the dirtiness and transactionality of it really does it for me. Thora Birch in American Beauty is also great, just because she has some of the best breasts ever. And Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon in Bound is one of my all-time favorites. I’m not a lesbian, but I feel like I could be when I watch that scene. Who are the three sexiest actresses presently working in movies and/or TV? Christina Hendricks , Sofia Vergara , and Salma Hayek . All three of them have bodies that are difficult to even comprehend. Truly dangerous curves. I’ve never understood guys who are obsessed with these tiny actresses like Natalie Portman . It seems like all these guys want to have sex with Natalie Portman. I like these larger-than-life, ridiculously proportioned women. I’m a big Russ Meyer fan. Who are the three sexiest actresses from the past? Raquel Welch in One Million Years BC , Jane Fonda in Barbarella and a tie between Ann-Margret and Brigitte Bardot . Again, the common denominator seems to be their incredible figures. So sue me. What is the sexiest favorite movie genre? Low-budget horror movies are the best for nudity, because all these kids who want to be filmmakers figured out that if you hire one decently hot chick to show her boobs in your movie, you can probably get it distributed. Sometimes they’ll have boobs right on the DVD menu page. I was really traumatized by those Sleepaway Camp movies when I was a kid, but they were also full of boobs, which was titillating. So that combination of scary/arousing is sort of nostalgic for me. What’s the funniest nude scene you’ve ever seen I always take nudity very seriously. Have you ever been strangely turned on by a movie, TV show or individual scene that seemed “inappropriate”? Recently, I found myself super-aroused by the scene in the new Bad Lieutenant where Nic Cage ’s unhinged cop forces Stephanie Honore to give him a handjob while her boyfriend watches. The throughline here seems to be that I like creepy dudes. You describe yourself as a bit of a “chubby chaser” with guys. Does that go for women you find beautiful as well? I picked all curvy women for my sexiest actresses, but I also love plus-size models Kate Dillon , Crystal Renn and Mia Tyler . And Anna Nicole Smith usually looked amazing, even when she was on the “large” side. We’re terribly sorry to learn about Asylum shutting down. What’s next for you? Thank you. I’m sad about it – I loved my job at Asylum every day that I did it. I’m leaving AOL and joining a media startup to help launch some new websites. I’m also working on a book proposal, and I hope to keep doing “A Woman’s Perspective” in some form, although I’m no longer allowed to call it “A Woman’s Perspective.” And it’s not 100% for sure yet, but you should actually be able to see me doing my own segment on a television talk show starting this year. I’ll be posting the deets on my Facebook page here .

Keri Hilson Says ‘The Way You Love Me Video’ Is ‘Not Just Sexual’

Keri Hilson Says ‘The Way You Love Me Video’ Is ‘Not Just Sexual’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Keri Hilson Photo: MTV News Keri Hilson gets sexy in her new video for “The Way You Love Me.” In the clip, Hilson plays B.B., a gun-slinging woman who sets out to bring her man into custody. The video also stars JoJo, Faith Evans and Diddy-Dirty-Money’s Dawn Richard as her band of “bad bitches.” The video’s sex factor climbs quickly, as Hilson sheds more and more clothes, writhing around while singing all about her loving her man. But when MTV News spoke to Hilson this week, she shrugged off any controversy but admitted she was a little bit surprised by the reaction she’s been getting. “In that record I’m talking about one guy, I’m talking about one night and this is what I want on this one night, and I’m not afraid to say it,” she explained. “Not just sexual, I just mean whatever — open your mouth. That’s empowering to me. That’s what the song is about.” For his part, Rick Ross , who’s featured on the track, chills in the club, while beautiful people drink and dance the night away. But it’s Hilson’s scantily clad popping and locking that has everyone buzzing. “The Way You Love Me” is off Hilson’s latest release, No Boys Allowed, and she clarified the meaning behind the title, saying that while the boys aren’t welcome to her party, real men are. “Yeah, men [are allowed],” Hilson said. “That’s the point of the album. I feel like I give so much of the female perspective, and I really wanted to give guys a chance to sound off and give their perspective on certain things, so I had to bring in the men.” What do you think of Keri’s “The Way You Love Me Video”? Tell us in the comments!

Keri Hilson Lets In The Men For No Boys Allowed

As the singer let MTV News tag along on a day of album promotion, she explained her exclusive title. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Keri Hilson Photo: MTV News What better way to spend a Monday than with “Pretty Girls Rock” singer Keri Hilson , as she promotes this week’s release of her new album, No Boys Allowed ? MTV News was lucky enough to tag along with Hilson and occasionally pepper her with questions while she hopped around New York City for photo shoots and prepared for an interview on “106 & Park.” In a cab ride to BET’s studios, we asked Hilson which song she’s most excited for fans to hear on the new album. “That’s a hard question,” she said. “It’s almost like asking, ‘Which baby do you like the most? Which child do you like the most?’ ” So, we tried an easier question. Why aren’t boys allowed? Or, does she mean that boys aren’t allowed but men are? “Yeah, men [are allowed],” Hilson said. “That’s the point of the album. I feel like I give so much of the female perspective, and I really wanted to give guys a chance to sound off and give their perspective on certain things, so I had to bring in the men.” By way of illustrating the point (maybe), we saw Hilson receiving a piggy-back ride from a manly friend. “This is a man’s job!” Hilson shouted. “No boys allowed! Only a man can handle this,” she added, referring to her burly mode of “transport.” After her “106 & Park” performance, we asked Richie, Hilson’s choreographer, whether she was a good dance pupil or not. “Uh, yes, Keri is amazing,” he said. “What do you mean, ‘Uh, yes?’ ” interjected Hilson, who recently caused a stir with her racy grinding in the video for “The Way You Love Me.” “I mean, listen. It’s a process that we go through, but Mama’s always under the gun,” he tried to explain, at which point Hilson cut in again. “Boo! Cut!” Hilson mock protested, and pretended to put her dance man in a headlock. “And she comes out and she wins,” Richie finished, laughing. “So, yes, it’s an amazing process, but Mama makes it through the fire.” Related Videos Behind-The-Scenes With Keri Hilson Related Artists Keri Hilson

Hayley Williams Calls ‘VH1 Divas’ Performance ‘Humbling’

‘I want to do it again,’ singer tells MTV News of performing for the troops. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Audrey Kim Hayley Williams Photo: Angela Weiss/ Getty Images Hayley Williams proved that she’s one of the new-millennium divas when she belted out Paramore’s “The Only Exception” and a cover of the Foo Fighters’ hit “My Hero” from Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. She and her bandmates entertained the troops there on Friday for “VH1 Divas Salute the Troops,” which aired Sunday night. When MTV News caught up with the rocking frontwoman at KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball 2010 in Los Angeles on Sunday, she admitted that performing for the troops had definitely been on the band’s bucket list. “Well, that was the first time we’d ever experienced anything like that,” she explained. “It was so humbling, and I want to do it again.” The band has a special connection to the troops, since a few of their friends have been deployed. “We’ve been waiting since our band started,” she said. “Especially Jeremy [Davis], our bass player, he’s had friends over there since the band started since he was out of high school. So it’s just really important for us to show them they’re remembered and give them a night just to hang out.” Her “Airplanes” collaborator B.o.B, who was with Williams at Jingle Ball, seemed equally excited by the group’s smashing performance. “Everybody gotta enjoy rock and roll. Shout-outs to Jeremy!” he exclaimed. “What up, man!” The VH1 Divas night also included performances from the Marine Corps air hangar in San Diego by Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj , Sugarland, Keri Hilson and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. Almost all of the ladies hit the stage for the night’s big opening number, a new take on the classic war tune “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” Related Videos Performances At ‘VH1 Divas Salute The Troops’ Related Photos Fashions At ‘VH1 Divas Salute The Troops’ 2010 Jingle Ball Kicks Off In Los Angeles Related Artists Paramore

Rick Ross Praises Keri Hilson’s ‘The Way You Love Me’ Video

Hilson’s video co-star compares the racy clip to Janet Jackson’s ‘Control.’ By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Audrey Kim Keri Hilson Photo: Jason LaVeris/ WireImage Keri Hilson may have stirred things up with her steamy “The Way You Love Me,” but her video co-star, Rick Ross, is giving props to the clip, comparing it to Janet Jackson’s “Control.” “When I got the record, I most definitely knew she was going to another level and I was excited for her,” Ross told MTV News. “I love to see the creative side. She’s a sexy female and I think she showed that. When I think of Janet Jackson when I was coming up and she was doing her Control thing, I loved it. So if that’s the feeling that young people [are getting] or whoever is feeling the music, if that’s the inspiration they get, I think it’s dope.” “The Way You Love Me” premiered online last week and immediately drew attention for its explicit lyrics and the limited amount of clothing — bikini and boots — Hilson wore. Directed by veteran choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson (Diddy’s “Making the Band”), the NSFW video made some fans cry foul over Hilson’s unladylike moves. Others, meanwhile, praised the singer for her forward-thinking boldness. In an interview with gossip hound Perez Hilton, Hilson defended the “The Way You Love Me” clip, calling the video “racy” but in line with the perspective of her forthcoming album. “You know what? If you put it in context with my album, my album is called No Boys Allowed but really it means no bullsh– allowed,” she said. “In this album, I was screaming in a room — just like I was screaming in the song — I was screaming in a room with all my girlfriends, yelling all the sh– we really say.” No Boys Allowed hits stores on December 21. Can James Franco and Anne Hathaway Save the Oscars for Generation Y?

The stages of reaction to the news that James Franco and Anne Hathaway will host the Academy Awards next year are turning over at a record pace. There was initial shock at the randomness of their selection; the acceptance that maybe the pair would make beautiful — if awkward — music together; and now, the rationalizations for putting them on the Kodak Theater stage in the first place. “This year’s telecast isn’t just about ‘getting to the youth’ — its whole theme is going to reflect on this history of movies through the perspective of a young person experiencing the movies for the first time,” an insider told Vulture . Which is a fancy way of saying it’s about getting to the youth.
