Fifty Shades of Grey No Longer Banned By Florida Libraries

By popular demand, and after garnering much criticism, a Florida county is putting the racy romance trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey back on library shelves. Before reversing its decision, the Brevard County Library System was perhaps the most prominent of the many bans of the book occurring nationwide. The county pulled 19 copies of the best-sellers from its bookshelves earlier this month, calling the popular novels by EL James “semi-pornographic.” Monday, the county announced that Fifty Shades of Grey would be available immediately through the library in response to requests from residents. Library Services Director Cathy Schweinsberg said that the library was against censorship and was reviewing its selection criteria after negative feedback. Public libraries in several states have banned the book, saying it’s too steamy or poorly written. It’s definitely the latter, though you can’t ban it for that. Bottom line: Sometimes you gotta lighten up and give the people what they want … mind-numbingly cheesy, Twilight fan fiction-inspired softcore erotica. As soon as Universal won the movie rights to the best-selling “mommy porn” trilogy, fans have partaken in an intense, ongoing fantasy casting game. Beast Zuckerberg: The World’s Richest (and Possibly Cutest) Dog

Guests at the surprise wedding of Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan wedding first saw the bride in her beautiful white gown , accompanied by the couple’s dog, Beast. The 1-year-old Puli, an Internet celebrity in his own right (he has 570,000 Facebook fans), wore his shaggy Hungarian sheepdog hair pinned up over his eyes. Check out the photo of Beast and Chan in her wedding dress : Beast first joined Chan and Zuckerberg in their Palo Alto, Calif., house last year, a month after he was born. He has since pooped on Zuckerberg’s rug, visited the Facebook offices, and met the Dog Whisperer , Cesar Millan, among other milestones. Most of all, he has become an important and meaningful member of the family. Both Zuckerberg and Chan , known as Dad and Mom on Beast’s page, feature their beloved dog in the cover photos of their personal Facebook pages. Walking mom down the aisle to marry dad? Doesn’t get better than that.

Kate Middleton Gets Her Field Hockey On

With Princes Harry (Brazil) and Prince William (the Falklands) otherwise occupied, it fell to Kate Middleton to help ramp up the excitement as the ambassador of the 2012 London Olympics during a private visit to the city’s Olympic Park. Did she ever. She worked out with Team Great Britain’s field hockey squad! Having played the sport herself (and even serving as her school’s captain), the ever-game Duchess wasted no time joining in with the ladies . So how’d she do? As with everything else, Kate Middleton proved herself to be a total natural. “I was really looking forward to coming here, but now I am here and have discovered I have to play,” she told the men’s and women’s teams beforehand. “I am not feeling confident. The last time I played was 2005, maybe. It feels like I haven’t held a stick for 10 years. This is going to be so embarrassing.” “My brain thinks I can do these things, but my body doesn’t play ball. Oh, please don’t tell me I have to do it in front of all these people!” she joked. Kate missed the first three of her goal attempts, but ultimately scored a goal – to rapturous applause from all players and observers, of course. Middleton swapped her blazer and heels for a gray Team GB sweatshirt, coral jeans and Adidas sneakers. She looks great in both ensembles, no? [Photos: WENN.com]

The actor appeared on 90210 briefly during that CW drama’s first season and has proceeded to explode on to the movie scene thanks to his role as Emmett Cullen in Twilight, New Moon and Breaking Dawn . American Idol Finalists React to Jermaine Jones Ousting

In an unusual step, American Idol kicked Jermaine Jones off the show last night, following the discovery that the season 11 finalist had lied about a pair of arrests . How are fellow contestants reacting to the development? A few relayed their thoughts People : Phillip Phillips : “It was sad to see somebody go like that, with an awesome voice. It sucks.” Colton Dixon : “We found out what happened when you guys did. We were shocked, but at the same time, he’s such a great guy. We all love him to death. He’s truly the gentle giant. He handled himself so well, I’m proud of him.” Shannon Magrane: Jones “always has that great fun spirit, and he has always kept us laughing. He is so funny, we miss him already.” Hollie Cavanagh : “He’s going to do huge things in music regardless of if he’s on the show or not,” she said. “It’s just a little bump in the road. He’ll prevail, and he’ll do big things.” Heejun Han: “It’s a competition. I really want to be honest about it. I’m not like, ‘Oh, please don’t go, please don’t’ go!'”

Sherri Shepherd Denies Early Dancing With the Stars Cheating Rehearsal, Reports of Cheating

Sherri Shepherd took to The View today to address rumors that she’s been rehearsing for the show since January and thus has an unfair advantage. The Season 14 hopeful denied ever working with Val Chmerkovskiy (her pro partner on the program) and/or Maksim Chmerkovskiy at their dance studio. “We have never, I say never, we’ve never danced together,” Sherri said of the rumor. “I’ve never danced with Maks, I’ve never danced with Val.” However, she did attend a dance class at their venue. She did clarify that she loves dancing and had taken classes, however, “This started long before I started negotiations with Dancing With the Stars.” Sherri said she took lessons before her wedding to Lamar Sally in August. Radar Online had said Sherri was spotted this past December at the Soho Studio owned by the Chmerkovskiy brothers and Maks was there at the time. Also, PureDWTS reported in December that they saw a photo of Sherri and Val go up at Dance With Me’s website but it was promptly taken down. Since Sherri is still tweeting about Monday’s DWTS season premiere it doesn’t sound like the allegation that she “cheated” is being taken seriously. She and Val should be taken seriously as contenders though, apparently! She’s been practicing, and the Dancing With the Stars cast is on notice.

Chris Brown’s girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, has taken to the Twitterverse to send out a nice, subtle message that the R&B singer belongs to her. TO HER! Also belonging to her? Some cute puppies! “Basquiat & Bruno It’s easy to interpret this as a statement that it’s a Karrueche Tran, not Rihanna, who’s up close and personal with him, taking photos with dogs and the like. Karrueche’s tweet came after a series of alarming tweets earlier in the week in which that Tran reportedly received death threats from some Rihanna fans. “Sitting in the house cuz I’m too scared to go out,” she tweeted about those threats. “Sometimes you just got to make the best out of a negative situation.” By riling them up even more by posting pics of Chris with her dogs?
