Teen Let Go After Beating Cops In Rock-Paper Scissors A group of cops are under investigation after they were caught on video letting an underage drinker get off because she beat them in rock-paper scissors. Must…be…nice. RawStory reports: Three Texas police officers face possible disciplinary action after agreeing to let an underage drinker out of a citation after she beat them in a game of rock-paper-scissors. A cell phone video of the incident, which was recorded over the weekend at the Chilifest country music festival near Texas A&M, shows the unidentified college student react in shock and relief after her “rock” beats an officer’s “scissors.” All three officers then walk away as the unidentified white woman celebrates with friends. “I have seen the video and can only say that this is unacceptable and unprofessional conduct by these officers,” said Dennis Gaas, constable for Burleson County Precinct 2 – which hired the officers to work security at the music festival in Snook. Gaas said the county doesn’t have enough officers to cover Chilifest, so he must hire up to 100 officers from other departments to provide crowd and traffic control for the event. Officers issued 113 citations over the weekend and arrested 44 people, Gaas said. He said officers are given discretion whether or not to issue citations, but he disapproved of the way these officers decided the outcome of the case. “(Playing) games to get someone out of a ticket, I have a problem with that,” Gaas said. He said the three officers, whose names were not released, have been told they are not allowed to work Chilifest again. “It gives all of us a bad name,” Gaas said. The incident stands in contrast to another encounter between police and a college student captured on viral video. A black junior college student said two Philadelphia police officers tried to arrest him after they challenged him to a pickup basketball game and he beat them. Video showed Samir Hill, a point guard at Allegany College of Maryland, drive quickly past one officer and cause another to fall down, and he said the pair came back two days later and detained him for nearly two hours before letting him go without charge. Allen Iverson Wants To Work As An Executive For The Philadelphia 76ers Lord knows he could probably use the money… Via Philly.com Despite playing for three other franchises throughout his 14-year NBA career, Allen Iverson fondly refers to himself as a ‘Sixer for life.’ Now, with his number hanging from the Wells Fargo Center rafters and his playing days clearly behind him, ‘The Answer’ wants to continue his affiliation with the franchise that made him the first overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft. Appearing in the broadcast booth with Marc Zumoff and Malik Allen on Wednesday night, Iverson revealed that he would like to join the Sixers front office. “I have a relationship with these fans like no other. And with this city and with this organization,” Iverson explained of his ties to Philadelphia. “Anything I can do to help, I’m here.” The conversation then turned to Iverson’s post-retirement plans, and if he would like to remain around the game, potentially in a front office capacity. “I would like to be even in that war room,” Iverson replied. “Even if they don’t go with my decision or whatever, just to have an opinion and putting out what I think and trusting the organization to do what’s right.” In all seriousness, if anyone is qualified to give their opinion on basketball players it’s A.I.
