Stuart Scott . Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughters Taelor and Sydni on what we are sure must be a very difficult day for them. The girls have been in Los Angeles this week doing interviews and promoting raising money to fight cancer. We love this photo they tweeted out in front of their father’s mural: What a beautiful shot. The ladies have been tweeting out information about how to donate to the Jimmy V Foundation which is accepting donations to benefit the Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer fund. We lost a real one with Stuart Scott. So glad we have Taelor and Sydni to carry on his legacy.

The annual ceremony received endless attention in the lead-up to the event, of course, because NBC and Univision both yanked coverage due to Trump’s comments about Mexicans . Multiple hosts, judges and musical acts also pulled out due to Trump being a pompous bigot. But the show did go on in Baton Rouge, with a winner crowned after an evening full of swimsuits, ball gowns and profound answers to dumb questions. And congratulations are in order for Olivia Jordan! The 26-year old Oklahoma native overcame 50 competitors to claim the crown, impressing folks with her views on race relations; on the need for improved dynamics; and her option that Oprah or Harriet Tubman ought to be on the $10 bill . The model and 2013 winner of Miss World America inherits the title from 2014 Miss USA winner Nia Sanchez . Despite the controversy surrounding Miss USA, Jordan was all smiles and screams upon being announced as champion. And Trump? He missed the pageant for a campaign event.
Taylor Swift continued her concert tradition on Saturday night of bringing special guests up on stage to surprise fans. But this one involved a twist. The evening after honoring the U.S. Women's National Team , Swift called upon ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas to join her for a duet of the track “Jealous.” And those in attendance at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford went crazy for the performance, as you can see above. Swift and Jonas dated many years ago, but are now on great terms. He was in attendance (along with girlfriend Gigi Hadid) at Swift's July Fourth party a week earlier. While performing “Style” at the same July 11 show, meanwhile, Swift had Orange Is The New Black actress Uzo Aduba walk on by, along with models Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Hadid, Martha Hunt, Karlie Kloss and Lily Aldridge. She has made it her trademark to have celebrities appear at concerts, with other recent stars to make a cameo including Kendall Jenner , Serena Williams and Mariska Hargitay.

A few days after stopping the Internet with a picture of his bare butt , the singer has taken the image down and penned an apology that explains why. Wrote Bieber on Instagram: “I deleted the photo of my butt on Instagram not because I thought it was bad, but someone close to me’s daughter follows me and she was embarrassed that she saw my butt and I totally wasn’t thinking in that aspect “I felt awful that she felt bad. “To anyone I may have offended I’m so sorry. It was completely pure hearted as a joke but didn’t take in account there are littles following me!” The racy photo (which you can still see HERE !) depicted Bieber standing at the front of the boat, his back to the camera, pointing at something in the distance… completely naked. Not long after the image went viral, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams called Bieber out in an interview. As he notes above, Williams pointed out that many of his fans are “really young” and he should have been more “considerate” of that. It’s nice to see that Justin has finally come around to agree. Apparently Orlando realized he made a poor decision in proposing to her. Via TMZ : Dallas Cowboys superstar Orlando Scandrick just ended his engagement to reality star Draya Michele with a NUCLEAR BOMB … calling the whole thing a gargantuan mistake. Less than one month after he proposed, Orlando tells TMZ Sports, “I have made the decision to call off the engagement and permanently end the relationship I had with Draya.” “In hindsight, it was a poor decision to propose.” “I am anxious to move on with my life both personally and professionally.” As we previously reported, Orlando popped the question to the “Basketball Wives LA” star back in June with a massive diamond ring … just one month after they had broken up. Gay Pride Recreation Of Iwo Jima Photo Gets Backlash How far can you take gay pride ?? Via NBC Washington : Joe Rosenthal’s historic photograph depicting five Marines and a Navy corpsman raising the flag on Iwo Jima is one of America’s most iconic war-related images. It is also one of the most parodied images, but a recent depiction of the event sparked fury on social media. On June 26, photographer Ed Freeman posted a picture he took more than a decade ago for the cover of Frontiers, a gay magazine, that shows four male models planting a gay pride flag similarly to how the six soldiers planted the flag at Iwo Jima 70 years ago. Freeman’s Facebook post celebrated the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision to allowing same-sex marriage nationwide. “Altering the American flag colors && trying to remake the “Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima” photograph with the gay pride flag is degrading,” one user said. “I get all that gay marriage stuff but to replace the American flag from the iconic Iwo Jima picture, just no,” another post read. Freeman, whose studio is in Los Angeles, told the Post he even received a death threat that he reported to the FBI. “This picture was just a flashpoint for a lot people who are looking for a reason to lash out, so I guess I get to be the whipping boy,” Freeman told the Post about the backlash. “I’m fine with that if that’s what it takes.” The Iwo Jima motif has appeared elsewhere, including to sell beer and promote the Hard Rock Cafe, and its use has been similarly criticized. In 2008, Time magazine was criticized for using an altered version of the Iwo Jima photograph showing soldiers planting a tree. That cover, which was meant to compare the struggle to win the war to the struggle to combat climate change, even drew condemnation from some fellow journalists. Poor thang … Robin Thicke Admits That His Attempt To Win Paula Patton Back Was “Embarrassing” After the release of his “Paula” album dedicated entirely to his estranged wife Paula Patton , Robin Thicke was embarrassed. According to the R&B crooner he was told to “go away for a while” after “looking like a sucker” by begging to get her back. Billboard reports: My supersaturation came right after I performed on the BET Awards [in June 2014]. I dedicated the performance [of the song “Forever Love”] to my ex. And I came home, and my best friend of 20 years, Craig Crawford, said, “I saw your BET performance.” And I said: “Oh yeah! What did you think?” You know — excited. And he goes: “I gotta be honest with you, buddy. You’re kind of playing yourself. You look like a sucker.” And it hit me that I’d lost my perspective. What I thought was romantic was just embarrassing. And he said, “You should just go away for a while.” So I shut everything down. I took some time off to be with my son, and to be with my family and close friends. And the more time I took off, the more everything became clear. And on his “embarrassing instead of romantic” album; Look, my songwriting has always been autobiographical, and always will be. The “Paula” album was no different. I was struggling through my toughest time, and I decided to share it. And I remember my team and my record company didn’t want me to put it out, but they stuck by me. In hindsight, the only thing I would have done differently was, I wouldn’t have promoted it or sold it. I would have given it away. That would have kept the purity of the message intact.
