The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 Episode 1 Recap: The B is Back!

Last night’s The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 Episode 1 marked the return of Bravo’s hit series, and with it, a notably notorious blast from the past. Watch The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 Episode 1 Online Maybe it’s the egg roll I ate before hot yoga. Maybe it is Bethenny Frankel. But after watching The Real Housewives of New York City premiere, I feel like puking. Most of us tuned into the season premiere for the long-awaited return of Bethenny. An original cast member, Bethenny charmed the audience with her quick wit and relatable personality. She was seen peeing in the toilet taking a pregnancy test, struggling to make ends meet, and fumbling through awkward relationships. You know, stuff we’ve all been through. She left the show after Season 3 to film her spin-off series, Bethenny Ever After , and to focus on other business endeavors, such as writing, hosting a talk show, and promoting her Skinnygirl cocktail line. But as her return launches The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 premiere, she could not be further from the approachable personality that catapulted her into stardom. In the opening segment of the episode, she states, “I am the wealthiest homeless person in Manhattan.” Bethenny groans this as she checks into a presidential suite with marble floors, bottled Fiji water for her dog, and martini olives brought at her request. Throughout the episode, in a fragmented narrative, Bethenny discloses her housing predicament. And though her attempt may be a pathetic plea for sympathy, her whining only underscores her privilege. Searching for a home with realtor Fredrik Eklund, cast member of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing New York, she explains that her former husband, Jason Hoppy, is living in the apartment she bought, leaving her “homeless.” Yet she tearfully tells Eklund, in the summer, “I had to buy a place in The Hamptons,” and “I bought a place downtown that needs to be renovated.” She sobs, “I am staying in corporate apartments.” None of this sounds like a problem. While dining on Madison Avenue with BFF Sonja, Ramona – in a surprisingly composed manner – states, this is “the weirdest time of my life” and “my whole world has fallen apart.” Sonja was too busy caring about Sonja to sympathize. But Dorinda offered Ramona some much needed support. Though the catfights are what keep us watching, the tender relationship between Dorinda and Ramona proves that the ladies of NYC can be compassionate and sympathetic – sometimes. The rest of the episode is filled with arbitrary commentary from the ladies on the sideline. Sonja is still drunk. As Heather states, she is #ihaveaproblemdrunk. She also gets human placenta facials. Even Sonja admits to her state of unraveling. She claims, “I used to be classy. Now, I’m trashy.” Don’t shoot the messenger Sonja, but you’ve never been classy. LuAnn loves The Hamptons and thinks “a couple extra pounds is good for my face.” You can’t see the pounds through the Botox, sister. Kristen says her husband isn’t as much of an asshole. Doubt it. And Carole is so busy having a fabulous life, she has forgotten to work. Her publisher scolded her for not meeting her writing deadlines. Carole responded in her interview, “I should have been working harder and enjoying my life a little less.” She might be joining the Bethenny and Hannah club for the most obnoxious shit said on this episode. Certainly, this season will serve a healthy portion of drama. We just might need a drink or two to survive the return of Bethenny. Nikki Reed: Thrilled Over Nina Dobrev TVD Departure?

We’re not sure what Nina Dobrev’s supporters are going to make of this!, but… News of the actress’ departure from The Vampire Diaries after the end of the current season hit the Web yesterday, causing an outpouring of sadness from the show’s fans.  However, it seems not everyone is crying over Dobrev’s announcement .  According to Hollywood Life, a source revealed that  Reed is relieved Dobrev will be leaving the series : “One person who isn’t sad to see Nina leave is Nikki. She has definitely been persona non grata on the set and it made things uncomfortable with her and Ian.” “It’s a relief that Nikki can now visit her fiance on set and not worry about any awkwardness with his ex and her friends.” Dobrev and Somerhalder broke up after three years of dating, but their onscreen counterparts still remain an item. Reed and Somerhalder got together shortly after and got engaged after only six months of dating. It’s unclear if tension on set may have caused Dobrev to leave. The actress explained on her Instagram: “I always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime.” “There’s more to come before we wrap this up, and I promise you’ll get to hear all about my experiences over the next month as we approach the season finale… … But until then I invite you to hop on the roller coaster ride that is Elena Gilbert’s life and join me as I celebrate her and prepare to say goodbye to her – and to my work family – as I move on to the next chapter of my life.” Reed hasn’t exactly been welcomed on TVD set , or by the fans since many of them were heartbroken when Dobrev and Somerhalder split.  Although, you can’t exactly blame a girl for being relieved her fiance doesn’t have to make out with his ex-girlfriend anymore!  21 Epic Elena Gilbert GIFs 1. Baby Dilly’s buddy team: Jason, 14, Jennifer, 7, and Joy-Anna Duggar, 17. They found out the gender first, along with Jill and Derick. The rest of the family learned it via a pinata, filled with blue candies as opposed to pink. For all the things not allowed in the Duggar family , they love a good party! The sweetest part of the episode? Cathy Dillard, Derick’s mom, received the gender news from Derick’s brother, Dan, who drove 450 miles to tell her. Recovering from a cancer treatment in Omaha, Nebraska, that must have been the nicest surprise anyone could’ve given her … even if she wanted a girl. Jill reflected on the fact that she was 25 weeks pregnant, which is how far along Michelle Duggar was when she prematurely gave birth to Josie-Brooklyn. Michelle, of course, was in her mid-40s and had 18 kids at the time. Anything can happen, Jill’s right, but the odds of her experiencing anything similar were much slimmer. Just the same, the Dillards paid very close attention. Meanwhile, with Jessa Duggar married to Ben Seewald and out of the house, the Duggar household needed organizing … and someone to organize the Duggars. Each child has a “designation,” or set of chores they are always responsible for, and with Jessa gone, Joy-Anna Duggar was designated as the designator. That did not make her the most popular Duggar on this night. One of the Duggar boys said it best when it comes to chores, and which areas of the house are coveted: “The best jurisdiction … I don’t think there is one.” Fair point, although some options have to be less terrible than others. We may never know for sure if Leonardo DiCaprio and Rihanna were actually dating , or if they just casually swapped fluids for a little while. We do know, however, that Leo has officially pulled a Leo and moved on to a newer model. Literally. Her name is Kelly Rohrbach. She’s a 24-year-old model, and per Leo’s preferences, she looks like this: We’re sure she enjoys yachts, beards and threesomes (Or, as we call them, Leo Trios.), but how long will she last? The Vampire Diaries: Can it Survive Without Nina Dobrev?

Can The Vampire Diaries exist without its leading lady, Elena Gilbert? That’s the question of the hour now that the reality is sinking in about Nina Dobrev leaving The Vampire Diaries after Season 6 draws to a close next month. Nina may not have broken the Internet a la Kim Kardashian nude in Paper , but she sure gave it a nice jolt with her departure announcement on Monday. Her exit immediately raised the inevitable questions of why – and whether it was solely due to the engagement of her ex Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed . Moreover, it has sparked debate over the hit show’s future on the CW, and whether it should even have one once its lead female star bows out in May. The official answer is yes, the show will go on, at least for one year. While it’s no longer a ratings juggernaut, TVD has already been renewed for Season 7 and, in turn, will return this fall to continue its wildly successful run. How successful it will be sans Dobrev is another matter, though. Will it experience a creative resurgence in her absence, or simply limp over the finish line, a shadow of its former self that we barely even recognize? Shows have survived, and even thrived after major shakeups, but Dobrev is THE face of the show as Elena … and all the others who have shared her face. Teresa Giudice: Forced to Participate in Joe Giudice Reality Show?!

Last week, we learned that a Joe Giudice reality show may be coming to Bravo. It was surprising news, as Joe only begrudgingly participated in The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but sources say that with their top breadwinner behind bars, the Giudices are broke , and the payday offered by producers was apparently desperately needed. The problem is, Joe was never exactly a fan favorite, and it seems Bravo execs are worried that no one will tune into a show that just focuses on Teresa’s widely-reviled house husband. So in order to secure the deal (and help provide for her family while she’s locked up), Teresa reportedly signed on to allow her phone conversations with her family to be featured in the series. Unfortunately, she may have taken a major risk by doing so. “Producers insisted that phone calls with Teresa be included in the footage,” a source tells Radar Online. “The family will be required to talk to Teresa on speaker phone, as well as to share any email correspondence they have with her. “Cameras will also be mounted to the car to get footage of their visits to the prison…There will be no cameras allowed inside the prison, and prison officials will be monitoring the situation to make sure Teresa continues to obey all the rules. “Failure to do so could result in her early release, scheduled for February 2016, to be nixed.” Yes, the length of Teresa’s sentence depends largely on testimony that will be provided by prison officials, and she’s reportedly been informed that the best thing she can do to secure an early release is keep her head down and draw as little attention to Danbury Correctional as possible. Teresa already sold her first prison photos to a tabloid, and now she’ll be participating in a sort of jailhouse documentary. Things appear to be looking up for The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes … because she just secured herself a bumper pay rise to continue on the reality hit. It was only a few days ago that we reported NeNe and Kim Zolciak would star in a new spin-off for Bravo. NeNe sure sounds like a smart business woman! “ NeNe absolutely hated Housewives this season. She hated almost all of the other women and wanted off the show entirely,” the source told Radar. “But she is the most valuable person in the entire franchise and Bravo was going to do whatever she wanted to keep her. So they offered her the spin-off, which she gladly took,” said the source, adding: “They want NeNe and so they offered her a HUGE raise. She already makes the most and now they’re giving her even more money per episode and her bonuses will be bigger too.” It just goes to show that money really can buy you happiness, since NeNe will be continuing with the show. Wiz Khalifa Pays Tribute to Paul Walker with "See You Again" Music Video

Wiz Khalifa has commemorated the life of Paul Walker in the artist’s new music video. Released today, the video for “See You Again,” a track included on the Furious 7 soundtrack, features footage of Walker from the franchise’s most recent film, as well as the six others from the past 14 years. Check it out here: Wiz Khalifa – “See You Again” Charlie Puth, who sings on the track, Tweeted about the video’s unveiling this morning, writing of both it and Walker, who tragically died in a car crash in late 2013: “7 million hits in 2 hours. i know you are watching down on all of us paul, the whole world is thinking of you.” Furious 7 hit theaters on Friday and went on to shatter a number of box office records, becoming the first April release to ever clear $100 million domestically in its opening weekend. “This was a labor of love.
