Gangster of Love…smh: The mother of Andre Davis two children is speaking out about the impact those charges have had on her and their kids. Andre Davis faces 15 counts of felonious assault when trial begins at the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. Prosecutors say he failed to warn 12 women about his HIV status before becoming intimate with them. If convicted, he faces up to 120 years in prison. His former girlfriend, Alex Uehlein, has faced a myriad of challenges since finding out about the charges. She first met Davis when she was 20, and he was wrestling under the name “Andre Heart.” He stole hers just before he got an offer from the WWE, an offer Uehlein says the wrestling organization withdrew when his physical showed Davis was HIV-positive. Detroit Lions running back Jerome Harrison was supposed to be traded to the Philadelphia Eagles this week right before the trade deadline, but things fell apart for the trade, but his life may have been saved. During the pre-trade physical, Harrison found out that he has a brain tumor! Thankfully, it’s not life-threatening, but without the trade and the physical Harrison would never have known about his brain tumor. Of course, because he failed the physical, the Eagles backed away from the trade and Harrison is out for the season, but that’s a minor consequence compared to the way his life was just saved. Crazy stuff.

Plus-size women can feel like stars, too. After co-designing her Emmys dress with dressmaker Daniella Pearl, the 41-year-old – who combed through “9 million dresses with taffeta or shiny bows” – decided to create a clothing line for women with similar body types. “Trying to find stuff that’s still fashion-forward in my size is damn near impossible,” she tells The Hollywood Reporter . “It’s either for like a 98-year-old woman or a 14-year-old hooker, and there is nothing in the middle.” It wasn’t until McCarthy became a mom to daughters Vivian, 4, and Georgette, 1, that she stopped feeling insecure about her physical appearance. “I just try not to give too much energy to it,” she says. “At 20, I would have been like: ‘Don’t they like me? Was it my hair?’ At 41, I think the things that define me, I hope, are a lot more than those kinds of petty things.” Now that’s something all of us could probably learn from. In addition to delving into the world of fashion, McCarthy and her husband, actor Ben Falcone, are also starting their own production company.

I don’t know that he grasps what it took to get us here.” Parker acknowledges that her childhood left her with money anxieties and that she’s eager to capitalize on her earning power. “I have a lot of responsibilities outside myself. I have a large family. I want to know I can always be helpful. I guess I worry.” On tying with Angelina Jolie for the top spot on Forbes’ list of highest-earning actresses. “Where do they get these numbers? I didn’t plot a future like this, although I know some people do. When Matthew and I started working, all we knew is that we wanted to be great actors. I don’t think I ever thought about money or that people would know my name. I loooove the work! When I was a little girl getting free lunches in Cincinnati, could I imagine being on a list in Forbes magazine?” On the difficulty of balancing career and motherhood. “We’ve had two occasions recently where both Matthew and I were working, and it was so hard on the kids. Especially James Wilkie, because he can really articulate how he feels about our absence. On the other hand, there are big chunks of time when we’re home a lot more than conventionally working parents. So you hope to make up for it.” On fraternal twins Loretta and Tabitha. “They’re talking, they’re running, they need me. Loretta is deeply inquisitive: ‘Do you see that, do you hear that, Mama?’ She constantly checks that we are connecting with her.” Her sister is the family princess: “Tabitha does not give; she receives.” Babysitters? Yes. Live-in help? Not for them. “We love closing the door and having the only people in the house be our three children and us. It’s such a good feeling to know that we’re competent and capable and that it’s private.” On the things Broderick has helped her appreciate after nearly 20 years together. Baseball, Parmesan cheese, color (“Matthew’s mother was a painter, and he taught me to love colors and break all the rules”). She also says that “he’s given me a little cynicism,” noting that she used to take the world at face value but that her husband is more skeptical. “I’m less Pollyanna now. That’s probably healthy.” For her part, Parker has shared her love of ballet, and, she says, “I make him [get out and] do things.
