On Thursday night, San Francisco’s 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the suspension of the President's travel ban, which prevented people from seven mostly Muslim nations from entering the United States. Move over, Beyonce. Take a seat, George Clooney. Sorry for stealing your thunder, Lauren Conrad. But Whitney Port has come out and announced to the world that she’s pregnant with her first child! Hooray! For former Hills star and husband Tim Rosenman are both “sooooo excited” for their impending baby, according to the former’s latest Instagram message. Indeed, Port confirmed this life-altering piece of news with what has to be the most revealing pregnancy announcement photo in the history of Instagram. Really. We’re not trying to be inappropriate here. It’s just… it’s just… well… it’s just: take a look at this photo. “Oh hey! Just standing by the window in my underwear, with a BABY in my belly!!!” the 31-year old reality star captioned the above Instagram photo of herself in a white, rolled up T-shirt and lacy underwear. Her adorable baby bump is in very clear view. Port then went from seductive to humorous, writing: “DM me if you know what I’m supposed to do with this thing for how ever many years I’m supposed to be in charge, “Check out my blog for a little letter from me & Timmy and for more behind the scenes of this crazy journey!!!! New Study Shows That Black People Have Bias Against Black Hair Do you love your natural hair ? A new study claims that all people, including black folks, hold an implicit bias against the types and styles of natural hair worn by black people. According to NPR , The “Good Hair Study” was conducted by Perception Institute , known within the research community as “a consortium of researchers, advocates and strategists” that uses emotional and psychological research to identify and reduce bias in areas such as law enforcement, education, civil justice and the workplace. The hair study resulted from a partnership with Shea Moisture to better understand the link of implicit and black textured coils. Researchers asked over 4,000 participants to take an online test, which involved rapidly-changing pictures of black women with permed hair then black women with more natural hair. The study showed that most people, including blacks, have an implicit bias towards women of color based on their hair. But the results of the test show that the bias can be unlearned. Some key findings confirm that black women suffer more anxiety around hair issues, and spend more on hair care than their white peers. They are almost twice as likely to experience social pressure at work to straighten their hair compared to white women. The study also concludes that “White women demonstrate the strongest bias — both explicit and implicit — against textured hair.” They rated it as “less beautiful,” “less sexy/attractive” and “less professional than smooth hair.” However, white women who are in contact with black women naturalistas demonstrated lower levels of bias. Given that white women make up a large majority of the 38 percent of female managers who decide what looks are appropriate for work, legal conflicts sometimes ensue. What do you think of the study? Hannah Ferguson is one of the Sports Illustrated models who doesn’t really matter, but who gets in a bikini, and we like bikinis…I hate these bikini shoots… The problem with Hannah Ferguson is that her only skill set is getting into a bikini, and for some reason people hire her based on that alone, but the fact is there are so many girls willing to do this for free – and they do do this for free…so why use this one who has been picked up by an agency and a magazine no one cares about…there’s no benefit to using her than the like thousands of other girls on Instagram with millions of followers who don’t have the ego, day rate, etc… If marketing people weren’t lazy and actually did their jobs, they would figure out that they could get 10 Hanna Ferguson’s for the price of Hannah Ferguson, they just won’t have a team behind them to make the contract insane…which is even better… The world has figured out that that there is no need for “bikini” models chosen by some archaic agency and some out of touch magazine but the brands are just fucking clueless… We got all kinds of girls in bikinis all day everyday…why is this one booking at least one job a year?
