Jimmy Fallon Roasts Donald Trump Mercilessly After Twitter Feud

After Jimmy Fallon tried to walk back some of his 2016 friendliness towards Donald Trump, the POTUS let him have it on Twitter.  Specifically, Trump demanded that Jimmy Fallon “man up” and not apologize for humanizing Trump during a critical election year. Fallon responded by donating to a group working to help immigrants. He also went after Trump in a monologue. Watch! So, Jimmy Fallon expressed regrets for that shameful incident in which he had Donald Trump on as a guest during the 2016 election. At the time, Fallon ruffled Trump's hair as if Trump were just some eccentric reality star and not a clear and present danger to American ideals and freedoms. Trump saw Fallon's regrets and, as he is want to do, flipped out on Twitter. So Jimmy Fallon responded in his monologue. “Before we begin,” Fallon tells his audience. “I just wanna give a shout out to our show’s number one fan — the President of the United States!” Picking up on his intention, the audience applauds — something that you're not likely to hear Trump elicit outside of one of his infamous rallies. Jimmy sets the stage. “As you may have heard last night,” Fallon says, explaining the premise. “The President of the United States went after me on Twitter.” “So Melania, if you're watching, I don't think your anti-bullying campaign is working.” Melania's proposed bullying campaign has been a source of many jokes, even before she shared that it was called “Be Best.” It seems that Melania doesn't really care . “When I saw that Trump insulted me on Twitter,” Fallon explains. “I was gonna tweet back immediately, but I thought, 'I have more important things to do.'” That line, of course, is just a set-up for his punchline. “Then I thought, 'Wait, shouldn't he have more important things to do?!'” Fallon exclaims. “He's the president! What are you doing? Why are you tweeting at me?” Many have lamented that Trump spends so much time on Twitter. But that pales beside his record-breaking time spent golfing. “Crazy,” Fallon says. “The President went after me on Twitter. It's pretty much the only thing I have in common with NFL players.” Trump has, of course, been famously critical of football players who kneel in protest of rampant anti-black violence. “In response,” Fallon says, reiterating what he had already tweeted. “I made a donation in Trump's name to the Refugee And Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services.” RAICES is an organization that many see as the perfect counter to Trump's preference of placing refugees, asylum seekers, and others who cross the border in internment camps. “Or RAICES,” Fallon says, leading up to his next joke. “When Trump heard that, he was like: 'I love RAICES, they're my favorite peanutbutter cup.'” Fallon then proceeds to deliver some mild burns to Trump. “A new poll found that 58 percent of Americans think President Trump is intelligent,” Fallon cites. Sorry if that statistic crushes the final vestiges of anyone's lingering faith in humanity or the American public. Fallon jokes: “In response, Trump was like, 'Ok, what did the other 58 percent say?'” Fallon then moves on to poking fun at Trump's lack of geopolitical savvy. “And today at the White House, Trump met with the King and Queen of Jordan,” Fallon says. “Which got awkward when Trump thanked the King of Jordan for giving us Michael.” That line refers to Michael Jordan, a famous baseball player. Fallon then went on to make quips about Sarah Huckabee Sanders getting asked to leave a restaurant and then about Trump's angry Twitter response that better resembled a Yelp review. Is Jimmy Fallon especially funny? Not in this monologue. (You can enjoy the monologue because of its politics without finding it to be a laugh riot) Should he be forgiven for his hair-ruffling humanization of Donald Trump during such a critical election year? Probably not, but history will be the judge. But it is definitely not appropriate for the President of the United States to use his position to attack comedians. Or restaurants. Or political rivals. Or, you know, people with brown skin. Considering that Trump locked up a couple thousand kids in cages and called for Samantha Bee to be fired , his attack on Fallon was relatively mild. Good for Fallon for using the opportunity to donate to a good cause, though. He deserves credit for that.

Puma Has Relaunched Their Basketball Division, With Jay Z Joining As President

Source: Taylor Hill/ Getty Images Entertainment / Getty According to an exclusive report from Complex , Puma is returning to the basketball game–and they’ve got some big names joining them for the ride. After major speculations about their return, the shoe and sportswear company has made it official by announcing the signings of top draft prospects including DeAndre Ayton (Arizona), Marvin Bagley III (Duke), and Zhaire Smith (Texas Tech). Ayton is considered the unanimous favorite to go No. 1 to the Phoenix Suns in Thursday’s draft, while Bagley and Smith are also expected to go in the lottery. On top of that news,  Jay Z  has joined as the company’s president of basketball operations. Adam Petrick , Puma’s global director of brand and marketing, told Complex : “We’ve been working with Roc Nation for quite some time. They’ve been great partners to us for several years. We’ve done many different deals with many different ambassadors.” When Puma approached him about this opportunity, Hov felt it “was something he wanted to be a part of,” according to Petrick. Mr. Carter will have a hand in the players selected to join Puma’s basketball division, along with assisting in the art design and overall concept and direction of the brand. “What’s important to him on a day like today is that it’s clear we’re making a serious push with players like Bagley and Ayton and Smith. We’re making a serious statement about the entry of the category, that we want to be a performance brand, but then also very culturally focused. It’s clear that we’re looking at basketball through the lens of culture, and thinking about the fashion of basketball, the music of basketball, all the aspects of culture around basketball as much as the on court presence that we will have,” Petrick continued. The worst kept secret: Puma is back in basketball. Company signing their first endorser Walt Clyde Frazier to a lifetime deal. Source: SAUL LOEB / Getty Once again, Dictionary.com is providing palm trees and sunglasses for the disturbing things going on in the world. First, their shade came when they responded to a story that resurfaced after three years. Back in 2015, USA Today covered  a Tennessee hardware store owner putting a “No Gays Allowed” sign outside his establishment. He put up his sign in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling that allowed same-sex marriage. His story resurfaced again this week when the Supreme Court ruled that businesses have a right to deny gay people because of religious beliefs. “No Gays Allowed” started trending on Twitter and Dictionary.com slyly responded by defining “homophobia.” Homophobia is defined as unreasoning fear of or antipathy toward homosexuals and homosexuality. A “no gays allowed” sign may be construed as homophobia. https://t.co/ynk0jI6tJ1 https://t.co/9fKXYyMZHk — Dictionary.com (@Dictionarycom) June 7, 2018 Well played Dictionary.com.   And they didn’t stop there. Black Conservative Has The Nerve To Compare Roseanne’s Racist Rant To ‘Black Panther’

Excerpt from:

R oseanne Barr  is still in a media firestorm after comparing Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape. If you were living under a rock, earlier this week she wrote that Jarrett equals “muslim brotherhood & planets of the apes had a baby.” Undoubtedly deplorable and impossible to defend. Even Republican Meghan McCain said Barr’s tweet was textbook racism — and McCain is always defending Trump supporters, she has even criticized NFL players for kneeling. However, McCain is in the minority because Fox News has been on a pro-Roseanne rant for days. Sunken place empress Harris Faulkner chalked it up to free speech. But the latest comment from a Black conservative has got to be one of the dumbest analogies on the planet. See Also: 20 Tweets Dragging Roseanne Barr To A White Privilege Hell Trump worshiper Oliver McGee , who once worked for the Clinton administration and is now a Black Republican, had the audacity to defend Roseanne comparing Jarrett to an ape and the “Muslim brotherhood” because Black Panther has a character called Man-Ape. Huh? See the ridiculousness below: There is a BLACK character in the movie #BlackPanther named ‘Man-Ape.’ Man-Ape is the leader of the Gorilla tribe. The gorilla tribe is played by all BLACKS. Every liberal that is calling for @therealroseanne ’s head LOVED & RAVED about Black Panther. Stop the selective outrage. — Oliver McGee PhD MBA (@OliverMcGee) May 30, 2018 There was no character in the movie called Man-Ape. M’Baku, played by Winston Duke, was the character of Man-Ape from the comic book series — a character that first appeared in the Marvel comic book series in 1969. As Entertainment Weekly reported, the creators of Black Panther , which was written and directed by a Black man, did not want to use the term Man-Ape from 1969. Why? Because they were smart enough to know it would be offensive today. Executive producer of Black Panther Nate Moore said, “We don’t call him Man-Ape. We do call him M’Baku. Having a Black character dress up as an ape, I think there’s a lot of racial implications that don’t sit well, if done wrong.” Therefore, McGee lied about a character being called Man-Ape in the film, that name was never uttered in the 134 minutes running time. But many Black Republicans, like Diamond and Silk and Paris Dennard , will say anything to defend Trump supporters. McGee also wants you to know that “as a Black man” he stands by Roseanne: I’m a black man and I stand with @therealroseanne ! Yes, she made a horrible joke and she apologized. I see comedians, actors, etc make the same jokes and get applauded for it. This is outrageous. — Oliver McGee PhD MBA (@OliverMcGee) May 29, 2018 Lastly, Roseanne’s comments aren’t about liberals or conservatives — it’s about racism. If a Black man like McGee, who once worked at Howard University  and regardless of his political affiliations, can’t see the clear and present racism, then his anti-Blackness is at the bottom of the sunken place. Wake up, bruh. SEE ALSO: Racist New York City Lawyer Aaron M. Roseanne Barr Attacks Co-Star, Is So Not Sorry for Anything

In case it wasn’t obvious based on her Nazi costumes, racist insults and affection for Donald Trump, it ought to be obvious now: Roseanne Barr is a terrible human being. Because she said that former Barack Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett was what would happen if the “Muslim brotherhood [and] planet of the apes had a baby?” Well, yes. But also because Barr issued the phoniest apology of all-time shortly after writing this Tweet — and then issued an endless array of even phonier statements on social media early Wednesday morning. In a barrage of Tweets that started out on the right note (“I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet.”), Barr ended up quoting a significant number of her defenders. She went from acknowledging that ABC was right to cancel her sitcom… … to saying ABC was a hypocrite for not punishing Joy Behar for referring to Christians as mentally ill. Oh, and the comedian also claimed she wrote that “joke” about Jarrett because had been taking Ambien. Now, Barr has continued her assault against anyone who thinks she’s racist by attacking someone with whom she worked closely on Roseanne. After ABC announced it was pulling the plug on Season 11, Michael Fishman – who portrayed Barr’s son D.J. during the show’s original run and its 2018 reboot – Tweeted that he was “devastated” by the show getting canceled. He also denounced his TV mom’s remarks via a lengthy and heartfelt message. “Our cast, crew, writers, and production staff strived for inclusiveness, with numerous storylines designed to reflect inclusiveness,” Fishman wrote. “The words of one person do not exemplify the thinking of all involved.” He continued: I condemn these statements vehemently. They are reprehensible and intolerable, contradicting my beliefs and outlook on life and society. I have always lived and taught my children to be inclusive. I believe our show strived to embrace different backgrounds and opinions, through open dialogue. Roseanne read this thoughtful response to the situation and gave Fishman credit for having such a mature and well-reasoned take on the scandal Just kidding. She totally took him to task for it. “I created the platform for that inclusivity and you know it. You throw me under the bus. nice!” replied Barr. These are totally the words of someone who recognizes she made an inappropriate comment and is aware that she’s very much in the wrong here, huh? Elsewhere, Sara Gilbert, who played Roseanne’s daughter Darlene, also reacted on Twitter, saying that Barr’s comments were “abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show.” She added: “I am disappointed with her actions to say the least.” “Wow! unreal,” Roseanne wrote in response to this stance. At one point today, Barr even said she “feels bad” for President Trump because he is on the receiving end of hatred everyday. It’s almost like he and Roseanne deserve it. Finally, Sanofi, the pharmaceutical company behind Ambien, has also spoken out. It had something to say after Roseanne Tweeted the following: “Guys I did something unforgiveable so do not defend me. It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too-i went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible. “I made a mistake I wish I hadn’t but…don’t defend it please.” Wrote the makers of the sleeping pill to which Roseanne is referring to here: People of all races, religions and nationalities work at Sanofi every day to improve the lives of people around the world. While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication. And so it has come to this: Roseanne Barr is so awful, she has turned a pharmaceutical company into the good guy. That’s impressive work right there.

Ami Brown: Returning to Hospital Amid New Cancer Battle

Last year, Alaskan Bush People family matriarch Ami Brown beat the odds — and her lung cancer. But, as we grimly noted at the time, she would need to remain vigilant. Then, in March, fans feared that Ami’s cancer had returned . In April, Ami’s emergency hospitalization was confirmed . Now, new details have emerged and fans are fearing the worst. But there’s hope. RadarOnline reports that Discovery Executive Vice President Laurie Goldberg has confirmed Ami’s new cancer battle  to them. “Ami’s battle with cancer is very real.” Ami has already undergone new treatments. “Her chemo and radiation was tough, but she got through it and is recovering well.” Just as she had to in the past, Ami has had to return to more comfortable and convenient surroundings so that she can live near a first-rate hospital and receive the care that she needs. “She is going to L.A. for a routine three month check-up but is optimistic and surrounded by nothing but love.” That is good to hear, all things considered. Back in January, we mentioned that some fans who were amazed at Ami’s recovery started to doubt if Ami had ever really had cancer to begin with. Goldberg does not mince words about that kind of hateful speculation. “It is just disgusting that anyone would say her cancer is not real or that it was created for the show.” We absolutely agree. Asking questions is one thing. And it’s nothing short of amazing that she was able to fight back a cancer whose prognosis gave her an estimated 3% chance of survival. But no, Ami did not stage having lung cancer and the agony of chemo and radiation therapies for a ratings bump. We only wish that it were some fabrication. Cancer is very real. Golberg reveals that, despite her health battle, Ami will be featured on Alaskan Bush People . “The fans will get to see her journey alongside the rest of the family on the upcoming season.” That will be great to see! And something that fans won’t have to worry about is a season filled with interpersonal conflict. “There is definitely no drama between her and anyone in the family.”  Thta makes sense. “They love her very much and would do anything for her.” The Brown family of course is rallying around Ami to support her during this difficult time. Ami, in the mean time, is liking the family’s new situation. Goldberg says: “Right now Ami is so happy with the family’s move to Washington.” We told you that Billy Brown made a large land purchase and has reportedly gotten on the bad side of a number of locals in the rural community in Washington State. Ami herself apparently already knows how she wants to help them settle in to their spacious new home. “She has so many big plans for their new home.” It’s great that Ami is receiving proper medical care, is continuously surrounded by those whom she loves, and is making plans for the future. These are all great things that can contribute to her once again kicking cancer to the curb. We wish Ami the best in her latest health battle. As we cautioned when the news that Ami was cancer free first broke, the odds of getting cancer (again) are higher for someone who has had and beaten cancer than they are for someone who has never had cancer. It is our sincerest wish that Ami make a full recovery. For her sake and for her family’s. View Slideshow: Alaskan Bush People: 13 Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know

Kendall Jenner & Ben Simmons: Dating!

You’d think after Khloe Kardashian’s recent experiences , the women in her family would be wary of dating NBA players. But the allure of ripped tall dudes who can actually come close to the Kard clan in terms of spending power must be too strong to resist, because Kendall Jenner is dating her second straight basketball player, and unlike her sisters, she’s sticking to household names. Yes, Page Six is confirming today that Kendall is dating Philadelphia 76ers standout Ben Simmons . An insider tells the gossip outlet that Kendall and Ben (who shall henceforth be known as “Bendall”) have been seeing each other “for a few weeks.” Jenner and Simmons have already been spotted on multiple dates — once enjoying lunch at the Beverly Hills hotel, and on another occasion, partying with friends at Manhattan nightclub Vandal. “Security measures seemed to have been taken to ensure Kendall and Ben enjoyed their night hassle-free,” said a witness. “They were smiling the night away with their friends.” Sidelined by a devastating injury shortly after being drafted by the Sixers in 2016, Simmons accomplished big things for the team in the 2017-2018 campaign. The Australia native was previously linked to singer Tinashe following a flirty social media exchange, but it now appears that that relationship was nothing more than a brief fling. The Sixers had their season cut short by the juggernaut Celtics in this year’s Eastern Conference semi-finals, but with a roster of young upstarts like Simmons, the team has a rather promising future. Simmons betrayed a fair bit of excitement when asked recently about the remote possibility of playing alongside LeBron James next season. Asked if he feels he would collaborate well with the King, Simmons replied: “There’s only one way to find out.” Of course, trades might be something of a sensitive topic for Kendall. Jenner briefly dated Blake Griffin  at the start of the most recent NBA season, and it’s been rumored that their relationship fizzled out after he was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Detroit Pistons. Shortly thereafter, Kendall began dating A$AP Rocky , but that romance appears to have been more of a “friends with benefits” situation. No word yet on how serious Kendall and Ben are. But hopefully, the model will learn from her older sister’s situation and take things very slowly. View Slideshow: Kendall Jenner Shoots Down Gay Rumors… and More!
