Joran van der Sloot to Marry in Prison

To each her own… we suppose. Joran van der Sloot – the convicted killer who is the main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway – will get married while serving his 28 years in a Peruvian prison. The convict’s attorney confirmed the engagement news to HLN, though the identity of van der Sloot’s fiancee is unknown at this time. But the couple met while she was visiting another inmate and they hope to be wed within two weeks. In January of last year, Van der Sloot pleaded guilty to the murder of Stephany Flores, whose corpse was discovered in a Lima hotel room registered in the Dutchman’s name 18 months earlier. He was also arrested twice in Aruba in connection with Holloway’s disappearance, but never charged. A Dutch newspaper, meanwhile, reported in October that van der Sloot impregnated a woman while behind bars.

Reese Witherspoon Pleads No Contest to Arrest Charges; Husband Cops to DUI

The same day she publicly apologized for her arrest last month and vowed not to make the same mistake again, Reese Witherspoon pleaded no contest to charges of disorderly conduct. The actress was not present during the hearing in Atlanta, but her attorney entered the plea on her behalf and agreed that his client will pay a fine of $213. Jim Toth, meanwhile, did appear before the judge and pleaded guilty to drunk driving. He did not receive any jail time, but must perform 40 hours of community service and attend an alcohol education program. There had been talk that Toth would enter rehab . “Consider yourself fortunate you didn’t injure your passenger and didn’t kill anyone,” a judge told the talent agent.

What a fawking dirtybag Maryland Man Sentenced To 15 Years For Pimping Teenage Girls Via NYDailyNews A Maryland man was sentenced Friday to more than 15 years in prison for prostituting a 15-year-old runaway as often as 25 times a day. Julio Cesar Revolorio Ramos, 29, of Adelphi, Md., pleaded guilty to twice using the girl among a rotating roster of street walkers he marketed to day laborers, prosecutors said. Revolorio Ramos slored the teen runaway in 2009 and 2010, when she was 15 and 16 years old, respectively, according to prosecutors. He told the girl to charge $30 for 15 minutes of sex. He paid the girl $1,200 for a week’s work. Revolorio Ramos paid part of his proceeds to the MS-13 street gang, whose members have been prosecuted for sex trafficking in recent years. The sentence of 15 years and eight months was in line with that sought by federal prosecutors in Alexandria. The defense attorney asked for a 10-year term. U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Neil MacBride, whose office prosecuted the case and has made a priority of trafficking cases, said Revolorio Ramos was a “member of a multi-state conspiracy that pimped out hundreds of women and girls for profit. … (He) exploited a vulnerable 15-year-old girl and then discarded her when she was no longer needed.” Nothin’ a little prison justice can’t fix. Ohio Couple Admits To Keeping Their Children In Duct Taped Plastic Boxes It’s one thing to punish children when they act a fool so that they know not to do it again, but this Ohio couple took it entirely too far. via CBS News An eastern Ohio couple pleaded guilty Tuesday to child endangerment charges after they forced their three children into plastic storage boxes sealed with duct tape and leaving only a square cut in the top for air. A prosecutor said the children, ages 5, 6 and 8, were crammed into the boxes on June 16, 2012 as punishment while the parents went to the grocery store and left two uncles at home with them. A friend of the family arrived at the Steubenville home, got the children out of the boxes and contacted police. Authorities said the children were in the boxes for about 15 to 30 minutes, with square holes cut out of the lids to expose the top part of their faces. Their father, James Taylor, pleaded guilty to two counts of child endangerment and one count of unlawful restraint. The plea deal calls for a year in jail. His wife, Samantha Taylor, the children’s stepmother, pleaded guilty to the same charges and will likely serve two years of probation. These poor thangs. High School Teacher Offers Student Extra Credit In Exchange For Bare Bodied Photos Teachers have really been getting a bad rap lately with regard to doing inappropriate things with students. And this scumbag falls right in line…. via CBS News A Pennsylvania high school teacher admitted Thursday to sending sexually explicit text messages to one of his students and offering extra credit points in return for her nude photos. Timothy Moll, 25, was a math teacher at Dieruff High School in Allentown when police said he sent text messages asking a 16-year-old female student for nude photos, in exchange for bonus points on her grade. Moll pleaded guilty to one count of corruption of minors, a misdemeanor that carries up to five years in prison. Felony charges of corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor were dropped. Moll is no longer with the Allentown School District, but officials won’t say whether he was fired or resigned. SMH. Shutterstock

Darth Vader’s Wife: Punched in the Head!

A British citizen was arrested recently after punching another man’s wife in the face. A man whose name was legally changed to Darth Vader years ago. Obviously. Ikbal Hare threw a punch at Vader, who is of no relation to the iconic Star Wars character pictured above, after he suspected him of romancing Hare’s wife. He missed and connected with Mrs. Vader, according to the Wolverhampton Crown Court. Hare ran off, but was captured days later. The Force was not strong with him, apparently. In court today, he pleaded guilty to the attack and must spend 18 months on probation and go to anger management. He will also perform 200 hours of unpaid work. Prosecutor Tim Sapwell told the court yesterday that Mrs. Vader first asked her husband about the allegation, which he vehemently denied before confronting Hare. “There was a scuffle involving the two men and Mrs Vader tried to get between them, he said. “The defendant struck her but there is evidence that, in fact, he had been trying to hit Darth Vader.” Mr. Vader is understood to have changed his name to raise money for charity.

Lauryn Hill Pleads Guilty, Faces Years in Prison For Failure to Pay Taxes

Singer Lauryn Hill just pleaded guilty to a federal crime , admitting she did not file several years’ worth of tax returns in the past decade, and failed to do so on purpose no less. The 37-year-old faces up to three years in prison as a result. Hill failed to pay up in 2005, 2006, and 2007, when she earned more than $1.8 million. When the judge asked if Hill “intentionally and willingly” failed to file the returns, she said simply, “Yes.” The Fugees frontwoman was released on $150,000 bail. In addition to the three years behind bars, Hill could be hit with $75,000 in fines. Wonder if she can write that off to help reduce her tax liability for 2012. Hill welcomed her sixth child in 2011; her first five were with her longtime partner Rohan Marley. Her sentencing hearing is set for November. [Photo: WENN.com]
