Kendall Jenner tends to keep pretty quiet about her family's relentless drama. Actually, she tends to keep quiet about her family in general … when she makes any sort of public statement, in an interview or on social media, she rarely brings up that side of her personal life. But while Kendall seems to enjoy Calvin Klein underwear shots and saving the world with Pepsi more than anything else, there are certain occasions in which she just can't avoid the drama. And what better venue for that drama than Keeping Up with the Kardashians? In Sunday night's new episode of the show, the family discusses Caitlyn Jenner's tell-all , The Secrets of My Life. We've seen a tiny bit of Kendall's view on the book — remember, she slapped her hands on a table and cried out “That's insane!”? Well, now we're seeing more of her reaction … and it's not good. In this new sneak peek, Kendall explains to Kris that Kim told her about Caitlyn's book. “I heard about all this stuff that she was saying in it,” she tells her, “and just how a lot of it's so not true.” Interestingly enough, Kendall says that she doesn't think Caitlyn is lying, at least not on purpose. “I think she really just thinks that's what happened, for some weird reason,” she says. Kris says that it's a shame Cailtyn didn't handle the business of writing a memoir in a different way, because if she'd just written about her own journey, she would have had “great respect” for it. Unfortunately, and as we know so very well at this point, that's not what happened . “There's lies that are printed in a book that lives there for the end of time,” Kris laments, “so your children are going to read this book about their grandparents and have a story that's fabricated.” And that's when Kendall brings up one of the best points yet. “She goes around dissing the Kardashians, but it's like 'those are the kids that you raised. If you have a problem with them, you raised them ,'” she says. “That makes no sense to me that she would go around bashing us for no reason.” And that, it turns out, is what Kendall believes is so insane. Sorry, Kathy Griffin. But Demi Lovato is not sorry. Nor is she having any part of your lame press conference. On Friday afternoon, Griffin sat alongside her attorney and whined about the way Donald Trump and his family have treated her over the past few days. Both the President, his kids and his wife have had some choice words for the comedian after she posed for a photo shoot during which she held a bloody, decapitated head of the Commander-in-Chief. Both Donald and Melania Trump called out Griffin for traumatizing their 11-year old son with this pictorial, while those from both sides of the aisle have also slammed Griffin. In her press conference yesterday, Griffin accused Trump and his family members of “bullying” her and “trying to ruin my life forever, telling reporters: “I don’t think I will have a career after this. I think he … I’m going to be honest, he broke me. He broke me, and then I was like, ‘No, this isn’t right.'” Griffin may be right about the whole career-ending thing. She has lost one sponsorship deal and been fired by CNN . But nearly everyone thinks she deserves it, considering the inappropriate, offensive, ridiculous nature of her actions here. (Everyone except Jim Carrey, that is, who has stood up for Griffin .) “There’s a bunch of old white guys trying to silence me, and I’m just hear to say that’s wrong,” Griffin said on Friday, adding: “You don’t have to like me, but you shouldn’t silence a comic.” This is a strange line of defense, in our opinion. FIRST, you need to be funny in order to be a comedian, don’t you? So Griffin doesn’t really fit the description. SECOND, why would comedians be free to say and do whatever they want? THIRD, no one is silencing Griffin. She may utter anything she likes and pose for any photos she wants. But, like anyone else, she also prepare for consequences as a result. And that’s where Lovato comes in. Someone who has often spoken out against bullying, the singer clearly is angry that Griffin is trying to play the victim card. She effed up. She has apologized and claims to know she effed up … so what the heck is Kathy talking about?!? “I find it funny when bullies play the victims,” Lovato Tweeted shortly after Griffin’s press conference, adding: “Oops. I spilled my tea.” Point. Game. Match, Demi Lovato, right? It’s hard to find fault with her simple message and logic here. This isn’t the first time Lovato and Griffin had a spat on social media, either. In March of 2014, the stars feuded on Twitter after Griffin was asked to call out the “biggest douche celebrity,” responding at the time: Will Griffin call another press conference next week to yell at Lovato? Or will she maybe come to the realization that she should shut the heck up? And that she’s only digging her grave deeper and deeper? And that she’s just flat out wrong in this case and is only helping the other political side by using her platform in this manner? Seriously, Katrhy Griffin. Zip it.
Jesus Take The Wheel: 35 Killed, Over 70 Injured After Attempted Robber Sets Fire To Filipino Casino Before Burning Himself To Death This story is downright crazy! Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones in Manila after a man barged into the Resorts World casino in Manila and began dousing tables with gasoline before setting them ablaze — ultimately killing 35 people and injuring more than 70 others after he attempted to make off with over $2 million in casino chips. The man fled to a nearby hotel room where he committed suicide by setting himself on fire. ISIS attempted to take credit for the attack on social media, however, authorities in the Philippines say it’s unlikely that this was a terrorist incident. According to CBS News reports: “Initial findings of police investigation of the Resorts World incident this morning, 2nd of June 2017 Thursday (Friday) show that there are no indications of terrorist activity,” Secretary Ernesto Abella, Philippine presidential spokesperson, said. “All indications point to a criminal act by an apparently emotionally disturbed individual.” “Either he lost in the casino and wanted to recoup his losses or he went totally nuts,” said Metropolitan Manila police chief Oscar Albayalde. While an Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS)-linked Filipino said on social media that “lone wolf soldiers” of the Islamic State group were behind the attack, police noted the man didn’t shoot anyone he encountered. The only gunshot wound was a guard at the complex who accidentally shot himself, authorities said. “He would have shot all the people gambling,” if his goal was terrorism, national police chief Ronald dela Rosa said. None of the bodies had gunshots, authorities said. Police saw no connection to nearly two weeks of fighting with Muslim militants aligned with the Islamic State group in the southern city of Marawi. Security footage shows the gunman ignoring a guard who tried to stop him at the entrance of the resort, then he is pictured heading into the casino, according to dela Rosa. After stuffing a a backpack with stolen gambling chips, the gunman fired his assault rifle at TV screens and began pouring gasoline onto the gaming tables from a 2-liter bottle he carried before setting them on fire. The man responsible for the attack was describled by dela Rosa as about 6 feet tall, “white, with a mustache,” and English speaking. As guests and employees of the casino attempted to escape the flames, the gunman headed to a room on the 5th floor of Maxims Hotel at the resort, forcing his way in. Police say he then laid down on the bed, covered himself with a blanket before pouring gas on himself and setting himself on fire. He was not carrying any identification, according to police. Cops believe his motive was to make off with the bag of chips, which had an estimated value of over $2million. That bag was found in the toilet. Meanwhile Cheeto seems to have conveniently embraced the ISIS claims of responsibility. He offered thoughts and prayers to the victims from the White Houe Rose Garden, saying “It is really very sad as to what’s going on throughout the world with terror.” SMH. Can’t blame everything on terrorism as hard as they try. It will be interesting what comes out about the identity of the white guy with the stache who wreaked all this havoc. According to various sources, Kylie is dating Travis Scott these days and the couple is reportedly moving at breakneck speed. But Kylie is still a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, which means she’s comprised of roughly 85-90% pettiness. So when the opportunity to remind an ex of what he’s missing out on arises, you better believe Kylie’s gonna take it. That’s a photo from Kylie’s latest ad campaign for her famous, eponymous lip kits . Words fail us at times like these, so we’ll simply quote America’s current poet laureate Kendrick Lamar, who once remarked, “Damn.” Racy Kylie Jenner selfies are pretty much a daily occurrence on Instagram, but this is some next-level sh-t. Not only is a lot of skin even by Kylie standards, what we’re looking at her is no mere selfie. For starters, it’s the work of a professional photographer, which means a lot more thought went into than the typical ‘Gram post. On top of that, it’s intended to promote Kylie’s lip kits, and we can’t help but notice that lips aren’t really the focal point here. The whole thing has led many fans to the conclusion that the photo was inspired more by a desire to torture T-Raww than a need to promote Kylie’s already wildly popular cosmetics. Kylie emulates her older sisters in many ways, and she’s likely learned a lot by Kourtney Kardashians subtle acts of revenge against Scott Disick. After years of being used, neglected, and manipulated by the Lord, Kourtney decided to launch psychological warfare with unusually risque selfies as her only weapon. Which means Scott loses and the rest of the world wins. So is Kylie taking a page from her older sister’s playbook here? We may never know. All we can do is hope she sticks with this tactic. Subtweeting is usually about someone having bad manners or letting someone know that you know. It isn’t usually about crime . But Khloe Kardashian shot out some tweets about a friend stealing from her … and is straight-up asking if she should go to the police. “What would you do if you found out a friend was stealing from you?” That was her tweet, seemingly out of nowhere, on Thursday. But that wasn’t the end of what she had to say. “Would you cut off the friendship and let God handle it? Or would you go the legal route?” That was her second tweet, a clear follow-up to the first. We know that the Kardashians subscribe to a very specific sort of Christianity, and we can respect that as much as we can respect anything about the Kardashians, but simply cutting off a friendship won’t stop them from stealing from the next person, you know? She did clarify that she did not mean her friend, actress Malika Haqq , who had been named in some of the response tweets. “No, guys! Malika is my sister! Never ever ever! We ride for life.” “Way TOO many shady people in the world. The grass is cut LOW. I see a few snakes.” It’s a little unclear if that last one is talking more about the unnamed, “hypothetical” thief … or the responses that she was getting on Twitter. Maybe both. You know, if pregnancy rumors about Khloe and Tristan Thompson are true, this could be the hormones talking. But maybe not. The strangest part of all of that is the bit about going to the police, right? For most of us, Twitter is a great way to keep up with friends in real time, follow the news, have occasional brushes with celebrities, and make what we will of the occasional covfefe . But for Khloe, it’s apparently a place to ask for legal advice. But we think that we know what was going on there, and she wasn’t really asking for advice. Because anyone who might have actually been stealing from her would probably want to stop at that point. Being caught is scary enough, but police involvement would be so much work. Hell, they might even break off the friendship themselves out of fear that Khloe would turn them in. The true purpose of subtweeting isn’t to share your situation with others, it’s to have your tweets read by their unnamed subject. Khloe was sending a clear message. Every reality series thrives on drama, and Real Housewives is no exception. Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is getting her share of drama … but it’s of the courtroom variety. That doesn’t always translate well to reality TV’s ever-present cameras, especially when one of the parties is behind bars. But legal drama is always a treat to follow. Even if we don’t know how much of this can make it onto the small screen. Apollo Nida and Phaedra have a prenup, but we can get to that in a moment because that is its own thing. So, just a few days before the couple got married back in 2009, Apollo and Phaedra signed a prenup. Apparently, in addition to an agreement on how to divide their shared property, the prenup specified that neither of them would receive alimony in the event of a divorce. Sounds simple, right? We don’t have the luxury of looking over their detailed financial histories, but it stands to reason that, when they got married, Apollo was confident that he’d be the one paying alimony if the two of them ever split. The guy’s in prison for money fraud, so he probably believed all sorts of things about wealth. As it turns out, crime doesn’t always pay. Who knew? Well, now TMZ reports that Apollo Nida wants his and Phaedra’s prenup voided . Because of course he does. It sounds like Apollo legal troubles — to put it mildly — have adversely impacted his finances, and like he’s hoping to be supported by his ex, Phaedra. It wasn’t long at all after their marriage that Phaedra was cast on RHOA, and that must have turned their financial situation on its head in the best way. Except, of course, Phaedra’s not interested. Just because she became the breadwinner while his life collapsed doesn’t mean that she owes him a thing, and she wants the prenup upheld. Obviously. We have to talk about prenups themselves, though. Sometimes they’re a great idea — to prevent, like, nightmare universe versions of Cinderella from marrying rich and then filing for divorce in a quick grab for half of somebody’s assets. They’re usually assumed to be legal tools to “protect” husbands from manipulative femme fatales, but that’s because men are generally valued by their success while women are in so many cases still valued by their looks. Isn’t sexism fun? But it looks like those sexist stereotypes and how they must have influenced his own assumptions are coming back to bite Apollo Nida in the you-know-where, because Phaedra’s the one rolling in dough. There’s no sure way to know how this case is going to end — there’s some extra drama around Phaedra spelling Apollo’s name wrong on the prenup , so for the first time ever, your kindergarten teacher’s insistence that correct spelling matters is actually sounding kinda real. But it seems to us that a prenup is a binding contract. Unless it was made under duress or false pretenses, and it doesn’t sound like either of those were the case, shouldn’t it be every bit as ironclad as Phaedra believes it to be? Legal cases can surprise you, though. We may never know the whole story with this messy pair of exes. Maybe if Apollo had spent less time on money fraud and more time working on his relationship with his wife, he wouldn’t need a court battle to enjoy some of her wealth.
It’s been two months since Jennifer Garner filed for divorce from Ben Affleck . Prior to that, Affleck and Garner were separated (but still essentially living together) for an astonishing 22 months We think it’s safe to say that when it comes to painful things, these two aren’t great in the follow-through department. Their oldest kid is probably still wearing the Band-Aid from the first time she scraped her knee. The point is, Jen’s taking this breakup so slowly she’s making Gwyneth Paltrow look like Elizabeth Taylor. Shortly after Ben left rehab , Jen finally pulled the legal trigger and filed for divorce, but moving on and rebuilding has been a very … slow … process. Earlier this month, Affleck finally moved out of the guesthouse he’d been occupying since June of 2015. Naturally, the long-awaited move prompted an immediate wave of rumors that Jen was having second thoughts and hoping to reconcile with Ben. Part of the speculation was just tabloid nonsense, but some of it is coming from reliable sources who say Jen has zero interest in re-entering the dating pool. “She’s certainly not jumping up and down and screaming, ‘I’m single!’ and planning dates. She still says Ben was the love of her life,” one insider tells People magazine. As for putting herself back out there romantically, the insider says: “She will eventually, but it will be a while before she does.” The reason, it seems, is not that Jen is still hung up on Ben (though that “love of her life” remark is a tad curious), but rather that she’s quite understandably taking this time to focus on her own peace of mind and the happiness of her children: “This has really been the most difficult decision for her. But it’s time to focus on the future,” the insider says, adding: “They want to be sure the kids are comfortable. It’s all in step with what they’ve always said was the most important thing: their children.” Makes perfect sense to us.
