He Has Risen. So many people say about the one and only Jesus Christ on Easter each year. Kendra Duggar, however, was able to put a unique twist on this saying this past Sunday, essentially saying in the following photo: Look, I am rising! Duggar would be referring to her stomach if she were to come out and actually state this, considering the life that is now growing inside of it. She and Joseph Duggar took some fans by surprise several days ago when they confirmed they were expecting their second child … just 10 months after welcoming son Garrett into the world. “We are ready to double the fun at our house!” the famous couple said in a statement earlier this month, continuing with excitement: “Being parents has already proven to be a greater joy than we had hoped or imagined. “We love getting to parent together and are loving every moment and milestone. “We are very happy that our little family will welcome a new addition later this year. Children really are a blessing from God!” This past weekend, in celebration of a major religious holiday, Kendra and Joseph gathered in some fancy dudes to attend church with their son and impending little boy or girl. Squint hard enough at the first photo published above and you can sort of (kind of) make out a baby bump. “Happy Resurrection Day!” wrote Kendra as a caption, going on to quote a passage from the bible while adding: We are so thankful we serve a God that came to earth and lived a perfect and sinless life. He died the death that we deserved if we by faith trust him as our Savior, we have the privilege of living with Him in Heaven. These photos mark the second time Kendra has been seen in public since announcing to the world that she is pregnant again. She and Joseph posed for a picture alongside with Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo late last week as well. The Duggars, meanwhile, are expecting quite a few additions to their already-enormous family over the next few months. There’s Kendra and Joseph, as detailed here and also in the video below. Last week, we reported that Josh and Anna Duggar are selling their home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. This unexpected development attracted a lot of attention, as the Duggars generally aren’t big on relocating. Sure, Jinger Duggar moved to Texas — and will soon pull up stakes yet again to head for LA — but she’s always been the family rebel. Josh moved to Washington, D.C. in order to work as a lobbyist, but ever since returning to his home state amid a growing sex scandal, he’s seemed content to stay put. His new home seemed to be perfectly located — just outside his native Tontitown and nicely removed from Springdale, where most of his siblings live. This allowed Josh to participate in Duggar holidays and other celebrations, but also to return home each night to a town in which he’s slightly less notorious. We guess every mile helps when you’re trying to live down a small town sex scandal. Anyway, Josh and Anna seem very eager to seel these days, so much so that they just lowered the asking price on their home from $299,000 to $289,000. This news comes to us courtesy of the folks at Starcasm , who report that Josh and Anna’s recently remodeled home is not without its amenities. The house is within the boundaries of the Ozark National Forest and boasts “a brand-new security system complete with ‘wireless area perimeter sensors’ a 210-foot zipline in the front yard; and close proximity to both a fireworks outlet (3.9 miles) and the Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs (9.4 miles).” There have been plenty of rumors about why Josh and Anna are such motivated sellers, with many fans favoring reports that Anna is finally divorcing her disgraced husband — but sadly, that seems highly unlikely. Much more plausible is the theory that Josh and Anna are tangled up in a messy financial situation. For one thing, they’re very likely experiencing financial difficulties. Josh hasn’t been involved in his family’s media empire since 2015, and raising five children on a used car salesman’s budget is no easy feat. On top of that, there are complications regarding the deed to the house. Back in 2015, Josh was sued by Danica Dillon , an adult film actress who claimed Josh was non-consensually rough with her during a sexual encounter. Seemingly as a precaution against her suit (that was eventually thrown out of court), an LLC owned by Duggar family attorney Travis Story. As Starcasm points out, under Arkansas state law, property owned by an LLC cannot be seized in a personal lawsuit. Story still owns the property, and this likely factored into the Duggars’ decision to sell. Unfortunately, it seems they’re not having much luck finding a buyer. So apparently, a house with an infamous history that’s likely to attract negative media attention is not a hot property in rural Arkansas. Who would have guessed? At the very end of January, reports shared that Jussie Smollett had been the victim of a brutal hate crime. He was later arrested on suspicion that he had staged his own attack, though prosecutors dropped all charges against him. Now, his brother is making a powerful argument in Jussie’s defense. And he might have a point. In a guest post shared by BET , Jussie’s older brother, philanthropist Jojo Smullett, speaks out in defense of his brother. “It has not yet been 90 days since my younger brother, Jussie Smollett, was assaulted on a cold winter night in Chicago,” Jojo begins. “Within less than three months,” he notes. “His life has been turned upside down.” Jojo has “witnessed him endure unrelenting attacks to his character and reputation.” “Like so many others,” he writes. “This entire process quickly devolved from a focus on him as a victim of assault.” He adds that it Jussie has faced “being falsely accused and held responsible for a crime that was perpetrated against him.” “To define this experience as unjust would be an understatement,” Jojo notes. “After several leaks from ‘unnamed’ police sources,” Jojo recalls of how the media narrative turned against Jussie. “And,” he continues. “Despite a long history of wrongful accusations from the Chicago Police Department.” “Many in the media accepted these unconfirmed reports as fact,” Jojo laments. “The numerous police leaks, which prompted an internal Chicago Police investigation, convicted Jussie in the court of public opinion,” he observes. All of this went down “before he even entered a courtroom.” “On February 14, the day that the Osundario brothers were brought in for questioning as suspects,” Jojo continues. He adds: “the Chicago Police Communications Director, in response to leaked sources within the department.” “Had begun spreading the word that Jussie had supposedly staged the attack,” Jojo writes. “The police chief ‘has contacted @ABC7Chicago to state on the record that we have no evidence to support their reporting,'” Fox News reported. “‘And heir supposed CPD sources are uninformed and inaccurate,'” the report read. “If the CPD had no evidence to support the idea of a hoax,” Jojo posits. “Prior to interviewing the Osundarios.” “Then,” he reasons. “They base their whole case against Jussie on that interview.” That doesn’t sound like a very solid case at all. “The police chief later admitted that the men made no mention of a hoax,” Jojo points out. Not “until the final hour that they could legally be held.” That sounds incredibly, wildly shady. “By this time,” Jojo says. “Jussie had already refused to sign a complaint against the Osundarios,” He explains that Jussie was “convinced that these men, one who he had considered a friend and the other an acquaintance, could not be his attackers.” “Most importantly,” he continus. “Detectives refused to show Jussie video, photos, or any evidence to prove they were the attackers.” “The fact that these two brothers, who in the final hour confessed to attacking my brother yet say it was Jussie who told them to,” Jojo notes. He laments that this “is all the evidence that the police and the general public needed to be convinced, should be frightening to everyone.” Jojo asks readers to consider whether the public should condemn a man over an accusation police received after hours and hours of interrogations. (Especially if those police are part of a department as dubious as the CPD) “Is that all it takes to destroy a lifelong dedication to one’s craft and community?” Jojo asks. He adds: “Is it really that easy to convince the world of a person’s guilt?” “Is that all it takes to turn someone’s life upside down in America?” Jojo wants to know. He suggests: “Simply ask yourself this, ‘What if Jussie is telling the truth?'” “With not one inkling of solid evidence,” Jojo continues. “Many believed the false witness testimony from two suspects who turned into witnesses.” He notes that they do so “even though they lacked standard credibility.” “It was under-reported that one of the ‘witnesses’ had previously been arrested for attempted murder ending with a plea deal for aggravated battery,” he adds. “Or,” Jojo adds. “That the brothers repeatedly expressed homophobia on their social media in the past.” Which could give them one hell of a motive for staging an attack on a man who had once paid them. “Additionally,” Jojo says. “It was never reported that they changed their story while under police interrogation.” In addition to pointing out that many in the public don’t have all of the facts, he continues. “Jussie was booked, arrested, and has maintained his innocence the entire time,” Jojo points out. “Following an evaluation by prosecutors,” he ads. “Before any court proceedings or a trial, the case was dismissed – dropped completely.” “I think that they, being legally trained and experienced,” Jojo suggests. “Determined that the case against Jussie was weak.” “There were lots of things that came out in public to give them concern,” Jojo writes. “After the initial reporting about a ‘check’ paid to allegedly stage the incident,” he cites as an example. A check “which turned out to have been a check for personal training and nutrition.” Jojo observes that “other inconsistencies came out where the public accusations did not match up against the truth.” Indeed, the Chicago Police Department cited multiple alleged motives for Jussie … adding a second one after the first one didn’t pan out. We worry when either side of a criminal case is suddenly changing its story. “The Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department announced publicly,” Jojo writes. The CPD sayd that “that Jussie’s motive in staging an attack was so he could make more money from Empire .” “Fox immediately said that wasn’t true,” Jojo points out. “But the police chief never withdrew his accusation.” “The chief also stated as fact that Jussie had sent himself the threatening letter … weeks before the attack,” Jojo recalls. “The FBI then refuted this claim,” he observes. “Again, the chief did not correct his accusations.” “Letting it float for the public to either believe or not,” he concludes. Usually, when there’s some controversy over a Kim Kardashian Instagram photo it’s because the soon-to-be mother of four is showing what some folks consider to be too much skin. (Some people apparently believe Kim should dress like a Duggar at all times simply because she’s a mom. These people are jackasses.) These days, however, there’s a renewed focus on Kim’s beliefs and actions, rather than just her appearance. (Sadly, in 2019, strangers on the internet are going to find something to shame you for.) Most of the criticism has had to do with Kim’s efforts to become a lawyer , as many seem to believe she’s not up to the task intellectually. Apparently, they don’t think you need to be all that bright in order to build a multimillion-dollar media empire so massive it makes your entire family rich and famous. This week, however, there’s a new controversy, and it stems from the belief that Kim cheated — on her first husband, Kris Humphries. Allow us to explain: That’s a photo posted by popular Instagram account The Shade Room . As you can see, Kim commented, “Always had [eyes] for him” in reference to the way that she appears to be undressing Kanye with her eyes here. The only problem is, Kim and Kanye were not yet married when this photo was taken — at least not to one another. Kim was still married to Kris Humphries at this point, and Kanye was dating Amber Rose — and these facts were not lost on many of the pics commenters. “He was with Amber then,” wrote one IG user. “But you were married in this picture,” remarked another. “To the point you violate his relationship but okay,” a third screeched. One fan claimed to have sensed sparks between these two way back when this pic was snapped in 2011. “Yep, I remember this and the look they gave each other. I was like uh uhn,” the follower remarked. Another questioned Kim’s claim that the attraction was always mutual: “Stop lying he had an eye for you the feeling wasn’t mutual from day 1,” the commenter wrote, adding: “#beforreal and I love you guys but don’t do it for the gram mama.” Needless to say, a lot of people are reading a whole lot into this photo. The actress, known for her iconic role as Pam on “Martin and having a career that has spanned more than three decades, is back on network television playing Tina Butler on the CBS hit comedy, “The Neighborhood.” Acting alongside the beloved Cedric the Entertainer , their freshman sitcom centers on how one African-American family adjusts to a white Midwestern family moving into their predominantly Black Los Angeles neighborhood. The season finale, which airs on April 22, tackles white privilege head-on by using humor to interrogate how Black and white folks get treated in certain spaces i.e a nearby snooty country club. Not surprisingly, Arnold is absolutely hilarious in it and the episode provides us with a much-needed lesson on motherhood, white privilege and the power of friendship. HelloBeautiful sat down with the seasoned actress to talk about the comedy’s finale, the importance of tackling issues of race through laughter and how blessed she feels to be working in the industry that she loves. HelloBeautiful: So, the first season of “The Neighborhood” wraps tonight! How are you feeling? Tichina Arnold: Oh, it feels great. It’s been such an amazing experience to be on this show and tonight’s episode is something special. HB: The season finale focuses on white privilege, which we know can be a heavy topic. Why is engaging in these conversations about race and gentrification with laughter important to you? TA: The show’s concept is loosely based on the life of the show’s creator Jim Reynolds. He was the new white neighbor and knows first-hand what these conversations and experiences look like, so what a better way to teach people and broaden people’s horizons and thinking through laughter? Laughter is great for the soul, it can help usher in life lessons and teach us how to get along and accept each other’s differences. HB: Did the topics from the season finale, especially around white privilege, spark any interesting conversations among the cast? TA: You know, the cast talks about this topic all the time. We’re pretty open and speak about it amongst ourselves, especially at the table reads, which is important. But the key for me is not take yourself too seriously [with the material] because that would make “The Neighborhood” a different show. But we definitely want to ask these tough questions and don’t shy away from them. We also want to know what our viewers think. We love to hear your opinions! HB: Did the topics the show addresses attract you to the role? TA: Most definitely! The idea of gentrification is real to a lot of people, including my own family, my parents. We lived in different neighborhoods that were gentrified by different cultures and it’s a huge change that a lot of people don’t initially accept. They worry about what it’s going to do, will it be good and how will these changes impact them. HB: And rightfully so… TA: Definitely. During the season, we see that Calvin was pretty resistant to that change and with good reason some of the time. [Laughs] But I also kind of see him like Archie Bunker—ignorant to certain things, things he’s never experienced. So it’s a journey for him, but also a means for him to teach others too. In one episode, he explains to Dave [played by Max Greenfield] how his family lived in that neighborhood for a very long time and when the white people moved in and then left, the town went down and the Black residents worked hard to keep it together. Now, that the white people are back, the area got better. There’s a frustration there and these are important points that need to be heard. HB: Speaking of Cedric, you two have such amazing chemistry on the show! TA: It’s been crazy…I’ve known Cedric for a very long time and he’s one of my favorite celebrity friends that I’ve never worked with all these years! So I was pretty excited about being cast with him on the show. It’s all love between us. And having a genuine love and respect with someone right there is a winning combination. You just can’t lose. Source: CBS / CBS HB: For your character Tina, what do you love about playing her? TA: Tina is so open and wants to learn more and that’s magic. I also love the relationship between Tina and Gemma [played by Beth Behrs ]. It’s not often that we see a white woman and a Black woman be friends [as equals] and have this organic relationship. We’ve gotten such a great response to them and it’s refreshing to see people from totally different ethnic backgrounds getting along and having fun with one another. HB: I recently saw that you have Beth have also become good friends in real-life too. TA: Our friendship has truly impacted my life. We have so much fun together and we are not afraid to ask each other questions. If there is something in the script [about white people] I just do not understand, I will ask her, “Beth, what is this? What is froyo?” [Laughs] And she’ll tell me it means “frozen yogurt.” And I’m like, “Oh, that’s a white girl thing.” We just laugh. But she is so kind-hearted and loud and she can even twerk. HB: The two of you are the queens of physical comedy on the show with Beth recently telling PEOPLE that she looks at y’all as Lucy and Ethel from “I Love Lucy.” TA: Ha! I’d say we are more Laverne and Shirley. But we LOVE physical comedy and to be able to do that on this show is incredible. We both were class clowns as little kids and Beth is so fearless. So to be able to act with someone who is the same way as you is amazing. And I can get wild. Like they will tell me on set, “Tichina relax, calm down!” But I can’t help it. There’s just a whole lot going on with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle these days. First and foremost, of course, the Royal Couple is awaiting the birth of its first child. According to multiple reports, Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, has touched down in London in anticipation of this blessed event. It really may take place any day now. But celebrity gossip followers and Royal Family supporters are already looking ahead. Yes, they’re curious about the gender of this baby and they are oh so VERY curious about the name Henry and Meghan will choose. However, there’s now cause to be concerned about what the Prince and his Duchess will do after they become first-time parents. Namely: Might they move? To Africa?!?!?!? In yesterday’s edition of The Sunday Times in Great Britain, Tim Shipman and Roya Nikkhah write that “Courtiers have drawn up plans to hand the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a major international job that could see them moving abroad after the birth of their child.” An insider then explained to this publication just where Markle and Harry could be headed: “Discussions are at an early stage, but the plan is to find a new way of using their soft power abilities, most likely in Africa.” Interesting, right? And also: Unprecedented if it happens. Harry and Meghan recently made news when they picked up and relocated from Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage, their new home near Windsor Castle. Did they do so due to an alleged feud with Prince William and Kate Middleton? Or because they wanted to raise their little boy or girl outside the bustlign city? We may never know for certain. The Times now reports, though, that a more long-term and signigicant moving decision may be on the horizon — but not “until 2020 when they have settled down with their new baby, which is due within days.” Harry and Meghan notably traveled to Botswana together early on in their relationship in 2017. Both halves of the famous twosome have dedicated their time and resources to charity work in the region. So this rumor isn’t completely out of nowhere, not in terms of the couple’s shared interests. But it would rock Great Britain to its core, considering the importance placed there on the Royal Family and the seemingly giant EFF YOU it would be from Harry and Meghan to actually live on another continent. Perhaps most surprising of all, Buckingham Palace issued a statement over the weekend in response to the Times article… and did not deny the reports that Harry and Meghan could move away from the U.K. at some point down the line. “Any future plans for The Duke and Duchess are speculative at this stage. No decisions have been taken about future roles,” reads this statement, which concludes: “The Duke will continue to fulfill his role as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador.” Fans must now wonder if it would really be all that shocking for Markle and Harry to go through with this move. The Duchess has been trashed left and right for months by the British press and chatter over a rivalry between Markle/Harry and William/Kate continue to persist, despite an apparent lack of evidence. “The wives don’t get on. The brothers have fallen out,” says a source. “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.” Will she soon get her husband to move very far away from his native country? Stay tuned to find out! As previously reported an officer now identified as Christopher Krickovich pepper-sprayed a black teen boy Thursday before slamming him to the ground outside of a McDonald’s in Tamarac, Florida. A group of teens from JP Taravella High School had reportedly gathered at the local restaurant to witness a planned fight but deputies broke it up. During the process, Krickovich was seen grabbing and slamming a teen identified by students as Lucca to the ground and banging his head into the concrete. Lucca, who was not involved in the fight, is then seen leaking blood. View this post on Instagram Let me tell you what this 15 year old boy, Lucca, in the red tank top did. He’s a kind, sweet soul. He bent down to pick up the cell phone of another boy who was also wrongly arrested. The phone fell out during his arrest. He didn’t want it to get broken. When he stood up, the officer sprayed his face with pepper spray then proceeded to brutally assault him. These kids were gathered at a local McDonalds after school when police showed up. Lucca broke no laws. Was unarmed. Non-violent. Police then charged HIM with assault on an officer and resisting arrest. Neither, as you can see, are true. These are Broward County Sheriffs Christopher Krickovich & Sgt. Greg LaCerra. Now ask yourself why this unarmed nonviolent Black boy was brutally assaulted and the white men who shot up schools, churches, and movie theaters, slaughtering men, women, and children, were arrested without a single scratch. Krickovich wrote in a report that a “15-year-old boy in a red tank top approached the deputies while they were arresting another boy on a trespassing charge” before he “took an aggressive stance” toward LaCerra, another officer on the scene by “blading his body and clenching his fists. He added that the boy’s stance made him “fear for his safety.” “At this point, his left arm was free and next to him, while he placed his arm under his face,” Krickovich’s report said. “I struck the male in the right side of his head with a closed fist as a distractionary technique to free his right hand.” NBC reports that he’s been assigned to administrative assignment and must forfeit his county-issued weapons. He’s also reportedly prohibited from entering any sheriff’s facility outside of his own without the approval of internal affairs. Broward County Mayor Mark Bogen’s released a statement calling the incident “outrageous and unacceptable” and asking that the Deputy be fired. “The behavior of these Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies was outrageous and unacceptable,” Bogen said. “The officer who jumped on the student, punched the student and banged his head to the ground should be fired immediately. There is no excuse for a law enforcement officer to harm a teenager who was on the ground and who gave no resistance.” “After being sprayed, the teen held his face and walked away,” Bogen said. “If the deputy wanted to arrest the student, he could have easily done so without throwing him to the ground. The 32-year old confirmed this blessed news herself, teaming with Dillon to tell People Magazine the following: “We are completely speechless, overly excited and ready for the next chapter as new parents!” Amy, of course, is downright ancient – by her unique family’s standards – for a first-time expecting mother. She and King basically confessed late last year that a baby was finally in their plans , with the latter telling Us Weekly in an interview that they were “practicing, we’re not preventing.” Translation: The couple was having a decent amount of unproteced sexual intercourse. Amy, of course, is the niece of 19 Kids and Counting stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. She’s always been somewhat of an outlier in a family that raises its women to just want to get married and get knocked up over and over and over. Just consider what she said last October about pro-creating, seemingly hurling a bit of shade at some of her relatives who have dedicated their entire existence to miraculous act: “I [don’t] want to limit myself by just getting pregnant right off the bat and not exploring the rest of what my life could be,” Duggar explained in October in defending her life choices. That was then, however, and this is now. And now Amy and Dillon cannot wait to meet their very own bundle of joy! The pair were longtime friends before they exchanged vows in a country-chic wedding on the grounds of Horton Farms near Bentonville, Arkansas, in 2015. How are they feeling at this point? A few months before they officiallly become a mother and a father? “The learning curve of being a new father is kind of terrifying, but at the same time equally astonishing,” says King. Amy, meanwhile, is also excited and scared — but she’s maintaining her sense of humor as her belly grows bigger with a person and a lot of food … but not the type of food she’s dying to chow down. “I miss Chick-fil-A,” the mom-to-be tells People. “Baby King isn’t a fan of chicken.” No word yet on what the gender will be or when Amy is due. The basketball season may be over for Tristan Thompson. But a new report alleges that the power forward has not stopped scoring in weeks. The Cleveland Cavaliers team member averaged 10.9 points per game over the past 82 games, but Us Weekly now alleges that he may be averaging more sexual liaisons than that per week. That may be a slight exaggeration, we grant you, but the overall point remains: Thompson has allegedly been going hard to the female hole ever since he was kicked to the curb by Khloe Kardashian. “ Tristan has been continuing to go out and has been partying with friends,” a source tells this tabloid, elaborating further as follows: “He’s been hooking up with other girls, and whenever he’s out, he’s had Instagram models … around him.” This doesn’t seem to be much different than the way Thompson acted when he was still with Khloe, of course, but it still seems notable. Thompson, of course, was caught cheating on his then-pregnant girlfriend mere weeks before she gave birth to their daughter last year. He then kissed Khloe’s good friend, Jordyn Woods, on the lips late this past winter, further cementing his reputation as a serial cheater who sucks a lot. Hence why this Us Weekly insider explains that the actions described are not all that surprising when it comes to the father of two. “That’s just the lifestyle that he lives,” the source says. Khloe decided to stick with Thompson after his first round of cheating because she wanted her daughter to have a father around and because she really thought Thompson would change. She even took issue at times when social media trolls slammed her as “weak,” standing up for herself as someone who was actually strong enough to put herself out there again and risk getting hurt. Does she now regret forgiving Tristan’s initial infidelity? Maybe. But she would probably simply say that there are worse traits one can have then trying to see the best in people and trying to give one’s child the most complete family life possible. Khloe and Tristan actually hung out this month in honor of little True turning a year old. By all accounts, Thompson is not an awful father; he does want to be involved in the infant’s life. But he hasn’t offered up any excuse at all for why he kissed Woods several weeks ago , cheating on Kardashian not with some random model… but with someone she has known for years. “He just kissed me,” Woods herself said in an interview with Jada Pinkett Smith. “It was a kiss on the lips. No tongue … no making out.” The Instagram star also clarified that having sex with Thompson was “never a consideration.” Thompson initially Tweeted the lame response of “fake news” when the Woods smooch first went viral. However, he quickly deleted that message and has said nothing in public about the act since. He has tried, though, to publicize his affection for young True. “You deserve all the jewels, baby girl,” the professional athlete told his daughter in an Instagram video taken during last week’s birthday party.
