Now, before we start, I urge you to bless your laptop or phone before reading about my experience at the 2019 SXSW Movie Festival in Austin, Texas (where I may or may not have been haunted by a very ashy and very vindictive Mexican ghost named Ll Llorona). For those not hip, La Llorona is a spooky legend passed down through generations that I just learned about a few weeks ago. And yes, she’s probably standing behind you right now without shoes on. But, anyway, the legend begins with a beautiful woman in love with a man she caught creepin’ ( Note : definitely not a Black man, though, because we don’t cheat) before drowning their kids and herself in a spiteful rage. Boom, the curse of La Llorona was born and lives on as a terrifying tale of “the weeping woman” who stalks and drowns kids when she isn’t looking for her own murdered kids in the darkness. Whew, it’s quite the spook fest that inspired Warner Bros. to connect her to the Conjuring universe and invite me to a haunted hotel for a press junket. Peep my lil video recap here. That’s exactly what I did. And I didn’t find out it was haunted until after drink and plate #2. At that point, it was too late. I was already inside the famously haunted Driskill in downtown Austin where Warner Bros. set up a spiritual cleansing experience along with a haunted hotel historian (to basically tell you about everyone who died in the hotel). Look, I’ve never actually been haunted (as far as I know) but played along anyway and let the healer bless me with rose water and a very special egg. I also learned about a little girl who fell and broke her neck on the lobby steps that you can still (allegedly) hear skipping around. Sadly, she didn’t come out to play with me. I know because I looked for her. While some people were shook and claimed to feel presences around them, I cackled at the over-the-top presentations that continued before AND after the screening of “The Curse of La Llorona” (which I enjoyed and recommend to anyone who enjoys stalker ghost shenanigans). Fast forward to our cast interviews the next day at the (you guessed it) haunted Driskill on the fourth floor aka the most haunted floor in the hotel. BECAUSE OF COURSE. Legend has it that Annie Lennox stayed on that floor and couldn’t decide what dress to wear. Moments later, she returns from the bathroom and finds one of her dresses laid out for her on the bed. THE OTHER WAS LOCKED IN THE CLOSET. BoOoO. Seriously, if you’re ever looking for a hotel where fancy ghosts pick out your outfits, the Driskell is perfect for you. Word is that the Bronx rapper allegedly put hands on her fellow Love & Hip Hop: New York castmate Brittney Taylor at a benefit concert in NYC. According to the New York Daily News , it all went down at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza on Tuesday night (April 16). Reportedly, Remy socked Brittney in the right eye, giving her a slight shiner. We know this because Brittney told the police this is what happened. She also went online to talk it out. “So, here am I on my way to a very important meeting and it’s hard to even focus because of what occurred last night. I didn’t wanna bring it to social media because Its pretty embarrassing and not a good look tbh. I tried my best to cover it up with make up and move on but that still didn’t work. My Question is @remyma why did you really do this?,” wrote Brittney on Instagram. Hey, if you ain’t bout that life, you ain’t bout that life. So far Remy Ma has not been charged, but Brittney has retained a lawyer. This is as good a time to remind you that Remy served six years in prison for shooting her own friend. However, considering she just had a kid and that her and hubby Papoose are relationship goals, this surely ain’t the type of drama she’s looking for. James Harden , currently leading a Houston Rockets playoff run, has dedicated his quest for the NBA championship to Hussle, who was a close friend of his. At the presser, Harden’s diamond chain featured Nipsey Hussle’s face which a reporter at the post-game conference after his Houston Rockets squad demolished the Utah Jazz 118-98. “That name will never die,” Harden said at the post-game podium after scoring 32 points, grabbing 13 boards, and handing out 10 assists in the lopsided contest. “People remember him. Source: Emma McIntyre / Getty Travis Scott To Pay Almost $400K Over Cancelled Gig No matter how much money you have, having to pay $400K is never a good time–and Travis Scott is about to learn that first hand. A jury recently ordered that the ASTROWORLD rapper to pay nearly $400,000 to PJAM, the Minneapolis promotion company that sued Scott over a missed Super Bowl gig last year. The plaintiffs claimed they had paid the Houston artist $150,000 upfront as well as $10,000 to his booking agent. They also provided him with a private jet and covered the show’s promotional costs–but hours before the show, his team informed PJAM that he had to cancel. The rapper’s team was citing weather conditions and logistics for his absence, while the company claims Scott simply “refused to show up to the event.” For the record, Travis Scott had actually booked two different shows on the night of Feb. 3: There was the canceled gig in Minneapolis, and another one in Las Vegas, which he did end up performing at. According to the lawsuit, PJAM demanded that Travis return the $150,000 plus damages. The rapper counter-sued the company in April 2018, claiming they never confirmed his travel plans and owed him $50,000 for the deal. He also accused the company of violating a confidentiality agreement by speaking to the press. In the end, the jury rewarded PJAM with $382,932.79 in the case. “The jury verdict of $383k is disappointing, but far less than the seven figure demands made by the promoters,” King told TMZ . “We believe the verdict will be substantially reduced or overturned in subsequent proceedings.” Luckily for Travis,he made some serious cash on tour this last year, so this money shouldn’t put too much of a dent in his pocket.

It is officially time to say ciao to Joe Giudice. The disgraced former Real Housewives of New Jersey star was informed this month that his deportation appeal was denied, paving the way for Giudice to be sent back to his native Italy. It has taken several days for the news to leak online, but this is what source close to the situation just told E! News: “The Board of Immigration Appeals ruled against Joe in an April 6 decision.” This same insider explains that Joe had to learn about the board’s decision by mail because the process is “done entirely by mail.” Giudice, of course, pleaded guilty to his role in a bankruptcy scheme back in 2016. He was then sentenced to serve 44 months in jail, but was able to postpone this stint under after his guilty wife completed her time behind bars. Then, last fall, a judge determined that Giudice would be deported because he broke federal law as a non-U.S. citizen. The father of four’s legal team filed an appeal, which is what a court just shot down. However, on Wednesday, this same legal team filed a petition for the federal court to review of the appeals decisions. This really is the final chance for Joe to avoid deportation — and it appears to be a long shot. “We are extremely disappointed that the Board of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice’s appeal,” the family’s attorney James J. Leonard Jr. says. “We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters.” It’s true that Joe has four daughters and we legitimately feel terrible for them that their dad is about to be forced out of the country. On the other hand, perhaps they will be better off with just one criminal raising them at home, as opposed to two. As for Teresa? She will follow her dear husband wherever she goes and is committed to the man she loves and the life they have built together. Just kidding. She’s already said the marriage is over once Joe is outta here. Appearing opposite Andy Cohen last month when the topic was broached, Teresa sounded very casual and cool with the impending divorce, “It’s like starting a whole new life,” she said of moving to Italy with Joe, adding: “And [her daughters have] been through so much already. So, I mean, I’m not doing a long-distance relationship. I’m just not doing it. I want somebody with me every day. “I know exactly what happens, I’m sure he’ll be with other women. It happens. From Newsweek : Britney’s Gram Podcast hosts Barbara Grey and Tess Barker claimed Spears’s conservatorship, money and health, could be reasons why Spears was checked into a facility without her approval. Legally, it’s a possibility that Spears’s father, Jamie Spears, has ordered his daughter to get help even if she wasn’t initially receptive. Spears has been legally confined to a conservatorship since 2008, though she has tried to fight it, and was found mentally unfit to hire a lawyer, according to Britney’s Gram podcast. The voicemail from the anonymous person claimed Spears was not taking her medication, which caused her father to pull his support from her Domination Las Vegas residency. The show was canceled in the first week of January, Spears announcing she was heartbroken but had to take time for her father’s deteriorating health. Spears seemingly broke another giant rule: she’s not allowed to drive a car under her conservatorship, but was seen driving with boyfriend Sam Asghari. The unnamed caller claimed he had quit Britney’s team two weeks prior, and his identity was said to be confirmed by Grey and Barker. If you don’t know what a conservatorship is, it’s a guardian appointed by a judge to manage the financial affairs and/or daily life of a person may be mentally or physically ill or of old age. A #FreeBritney hashtag is now trending on Twitter. But, Spears and team, Sam Asghari, Jamie Lynn Spears and Kevin Federline have not confirmed any of the claims made by the Britney’s Gram podcast.
