But despite being behind bars, Juelz Santana is still facing legal trouble. The Dip Set rapper is in danger of losing his luxury condo to foreclosure – again – after not paying the mortgage in more than six months, BOSSIP has learned. Wells Fargo Bank sued Juelz last month, alleging that the rapper hadn’t made payments on his mortgage since July 2018 and it wants him out ASAP. Juelz bought the 2,300 square foot condo in 2005 for $540,000 and financed it in part with a $486,000 mortgage with 8.5 percent interest rate, his mortgage states. He agreed to make monthly payments of $3,754 for 30 years to pay for the home. The property is now valued at $391,000, according to Zillow, and is located in a tony Northern New Jersey housing development that was once home to the Notorious BIG. Wells Fargo’s suit marks the third time in two years that Juelz has battled foreclosure proceedings, according to court papers. The bank wants either the money owed on the mortgage or the home sold in order to recover its costs. It also wants Juelz banned from having any stake in the condo’s equity. We exclusively revealed that Juelz has battled to keep his home off the foreclosure rolls for years. But with him now behind bars until at least 2020, it may be harder than ever to come up with the money to get out of the debt. While he was out on bail in his federal gun case, Juelz did not live at the condo, but in the next county over with his now wife, Kimbella , and their two children. On top of the foreclosure suit, Juelz’s homeowner’s association also sued him last month for stopping payment on his condo’s common charges, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. The Courts of Glenpointe Condominium Association alleged Santana owed more than $7,000 in maintenance and late fees and hasn’t paid the house bills since Dec. 2018. The association wants the charged paid in full, along with attorney fees, according to the complaint. Juelz’s lawyer hadn’t responded to either lawsuit as of Monday.
It’s been over a week since Leaving Neverland debuted and Michael Jackson’s most ardent defenders continue to lash out in appalling and inappropriate ways. First, Paris Jackson revealed that she doesn’t believe her father’s accusers and essentially laughed off the very serious allegations against him, much to the chagrin of many of her fans. Now, the disgraced pop star is being defended by another person who had a close relationship with him as a child. And Aaron Carter’s handling of the situation makes Paris’ look perfectly reasonable by comparison. Carter not only refuses to believe the accusers featured in the documentary, he says he’d like punch one of them — Wade Robson — in the face. Carter made the threat in an interview with TMZ that started on a confusing note and got more bizarre from there. “My reaction to Leaving Neverland was incredible,” says Carter (who doesn’t appear to have understood the opening question). In the rambling segment that appeared online Monday afternoon, Carter goes on to argue that his experience in Jackson’s home was positive, therefore, it’s impossible that anyone could have been molested by the pop star. “What you’re doing is stomping on an icon and a legend’s grave,” he says, addressing Robson. Aaron then played the always-unfortunate “why not come forward sooner?” card. “Why not do it when he was alive, man?” he demands at one point. Asked if it was even possible that Robson, Safechuck, and other accusers could be telling the truth, Carter offers this reply: “Not based on my experience. I hung out with Michael Jackson. I stayed at his house. I stayed in his bedroom.” Carter then concedes that he was 15 at the time, which is considerably older than the age at which Jackson’s accusers claim they were molested. From there, the situation really gets ugly, as Carter openly fantasizes about assaulting Robson: “I might be a pop singer, but I’m also from the f–kin’ South. You’re lucky I got something to lose now. Because I would punch you in your face,” Carter added in what appears to be a direct threat to Robson. No word yet on what it is that Aaron has to lose. You would think both Aaron and Paris have never before encountered the notion that two individuals can have radically different experiences with the same person. No one is doubting that Michael was a mentor to a number of young entertainers, or that he was a competent and devoted father (although that infamous baby-dangling incident certainly raises a lot of questions). But there’s no ignoring the growing mountain of evidence that suggests Jackson engaged in sexual activity with young boys. There might be a way for someone to offer a reasonable and informed counter-argument. But neither Paris nor Aaron is doing that. Source: Tim Mosenfelder / Getty BOSSIP Recap And Twitter Reactions Of #UsFirst Screening BOSSIP was fortunate enough to be in attendance last night for the very first screening of Jordan Peele ‘s new horror masterpiece Us at SCAD Show here in Atlanta. We’re not going to spoil anything for y’all, but we wanted to share our thoughts on the event as well as the enthralled social media reactions. First and foremost, Jordan, the folks at Monkeypaw Productions, Cashmere Agency, and all related parties did not even remotely attempt to obfuscate the fact that this screening was FUBU. The entire theater, sans one gray-haired white man who appeared to be an employee, was Black. Everyone. Prior to the start of the film, it was explicitly announced that Black media, influencers, film fans, and celebrities would be the first people to view Us . We were the first to see ourselves, which is very on-brand for the film’s ethos. Even the official hashtag #UsFirst was overtly on-the-nose despite the fact that Peele had previously stated that Us is not about race. But who are we kidding? Everything is about race, especially last night. It was beautiful. Again, without spoiling anything, the movie itself is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. It’s subversive while still adhering to and nodding at horror trope tradition. Jordan Peele executes these directorial ideologies with the effortless technique of Gabby Douglas on the balance beam. The pacing demands your attention. The cinematography could produce an economy of iconic movie posters. If you were creeped out by the way Jordan used The Luniz classic “I Got 5 On It” in the trailer…just you wait. Some of your favorite songs will never be the same thanks to the insidious score and maniacal music supervision. The way light is used to make Black skin leap from the screen might make you shed the same tears that Lupita does in the trailer. It’s all done brilliantly. Speaking of Lupita and brilliance, listen, ok, we all know that the Academy Awards can be full of it, but sometimes they get it right like they did with Get Out . If the Oscar folk thought that Get Out was worthy of their self-serving praise, then we can’t even imagine a world in which Lupita Amondi Nyong’o doesn’t get one of their lil’ gold trinkets for this performance. During National Women’s Month no less. Give her ALL of her things, create some more things, then give those to her as well. There aren’t enough superlatives. She’s THAT good as are M’Baku-turned-dork-dad Winston Duke, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Elisabeth Moss (OfFred was WILDIN’), and Tim Heidecker. Screenings took place simultaneously nationwide at SXSW, Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles. BOSSIP along with many of our Black media peers all got to see the movie at the same damn time and reactions began rolling immediately after the credits ran. Counting On fans love when Jinger Duggar shares photos of baby Felicity and her dazzling blue eyes . Jinger and Jeremy know that followers can’t get enough of their cute little 7-month-old. Her newest baby pic is a daddy-daughter photo that will absolutely melt your heart. Jinger Duggar shared the photo that you’re about to see. In the captions on Instagram, she gushed about what her small family means to her. “Seeing Felicity in her daddy’s strong arms makes my heart skip a beat,” Jinger wrote. That is so sweet. Those with the most caffeine intake are likely the ones who stay the busiest — whether it’s as employees, parents, or both. In recent months, Jinger has been treating her followers to so many precious photos. Jeremy is often front-and-center, holding his baby girl with love and pride. “Jeremy is such an amazing father,” Jinger gushed back in late January. As you probably know, life in the Duggar clan can be especially hard on women. And perhaps no female member of reality TV’s largest family has suffered as much as Anna Duggar. Anna, of course, is the beleaguered husband of Josh Duggar … at least for now. Yes, rumors of Josh and Anna getting divorced have been circulating for years, and it seems they’ve really gained steam in the past few months. The reasons for this are unclear, as divorce is strictly forbidden under the Duggars’ belief system, and it’s extremely unlikely that Anna would ever exile herself from her community by leaving Josh. Nevertheless, fans are taking everything Anna does these days as a sign that she’s getting ready to hit the road. It’s literally reached the point where the simple act of walking is being interpreted as an indication that Anna is preparing to ditch her philandering husband. Anna recently revealed that she accepted a challenge to walk 50 miles in the month of February. Not only did she meet her goal, she exceeded it — and as you can see, she’s ready to get her march on in March. “#February50 ended up being February55! Now on to March – hoping to go another 50 miles!” Anna captioned the above screenshot. Like we said, a handful of fans took a sudden interest in fitness as a sign that Anna is preparing to re-enter the singles scene. Meredith and DeLuca are still in the early stages of their relationship. As with all ‘Ships on Grey’s Anatomy, there’s always some drama thrown in for good measure. Thursday’s episode of the ABC hit kicked off with DeLuca’s father, Vincenzo pitching his project to Alex. The project was all about him creating an external sac that premature babies could be transferred to in order to develop until they’re full term. It was pretty crazy stuff, but he also revealed that he had great success when he trialed the procedure on animals. So, what was holding Alex back from approving the surgery? Vincenzo’s relationship with DeLuca was strained. Hell, DeLuca did not want to be anywhere near his father. Meredith was under the impression that Vicenzo was suffering from an undiagnosed medical illness thanks to Carina who threw her father well and truly under the bus. Vincenzo asked DeLuca to join him on the surgery, promising that it would help put his career “on the map.” Meredith was quick to veto the whole thing because she was concerned that Vincenzo having an undiagnosed medical condition would scupper things if he got to work with human patients. DeLuca pressed on without getting the go-ahead from Meredith, and it looks like we’re in for one of these crazy moments in which couples are put on the line. Meredith made some valid points, and the hospital is going to be liable if his undisclosed mental illness killed or harmed a patient, well, that means there’s going to be a media storm at the hospital. How far will Meredith go to shut the whole thing down? We bet she’s going to go the full way, and it’s going to create some big complications in her relationship. Elsewhere, Maggie got 15 minutes of fame thanks to some name-dropping. By that, we mean the surgeon went on a podcast and revealed that she was the daughter of Ellis Grey. This immediately changed the scope of the conversation, and the hosts failed to ask about anything she had done for herself. It was harrowing for her, but she bit back by revealing that Ellis had an affair with Richard, and that’s how she was born. Instead, it created the media storm you would expect in this day and age. “It’s not a part of my story that I’m particularly proud of,” Richard told his daughter, confirming that he was unhappy about the way she was brought into the world.
