Source: Steve Granitz / Getty Ariana Grande Pulls Out Of Her New Years Eve Performance Ariana Grande has officially canceled her Las Vegas performance just days before New Year’s Eve “due to unforeseeable health reasons.” Grande was originally scheduled to perform at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday. The hotel announced in a statement to The Associated Press on Friday that the she will not be performing after all. The hotel also said guests can receive refunds at their point of purchase. Ariana also posted her own message to her Instagram story on December 28, a few days before the scheduled performance, to briefly explain to fans why she won’t be making it to Las Vegas. The singer wrote, “vegas, I’m currently working through some health issues and am beyond sorry i won’t be able to see u this weekend. i love u and so look forward to seeing u and making it up to u next year.” Even though she won’t be performing on New Years, 2018 is probably a year that Ms. Grande is more than happy to put behind her. Although she’s had arguably the best year of her career, the singer’s personal woes have been just as public as her musical achievements. Her song “Thank U, Next” is spending its sixth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, she recently earned two Grammy nominations, and was also named woman of the year by Billboard. Disgraced former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel will stand trial for sexual assault , and he is also being sued for the same incident. His baby mama and ex, Kathryn Dennis, is making the best of Christmas for their two very young children. She even shared a series of sweet Christmas photos. See them for yourself: “Real life,” Kathryn Dennis captioned this short series of pictures. In the pictures, she poses alongside her very young children. Her daughter, Kensington Calhoun Ravenel, is four years old. Her son, Saint Julien Rembert Ravenel, is is only two. As you can see, both are decked out in festive attire for the occassion. Kathryn also put the photos into context and sent a message with her tags. “#Christmasfamilyphoto,” Kathryn writes. “#reality.” She is a star of reality television, but Kathryn places herself among a growing number of reality stars who use social media to share this message: Reality television is not real life. Not for the first time, Kathryn is reminding her fans and followers that what they see on camera is just that. It’s entertainment. Her real life — her reality — revolves around her two precious children. Of course, there are other, less pleasant parts of Kathryn’s life these days. She is engaged in a court battle for primary custody of Kensie and Saint. According to Kathryn’s court filings, Thomas goes through “periods of impulsive and uncontrollable bouts of anger.” That is something that matches up with what multiple people, including his own friends and former castmates, have said. Kathryn’s court documents say that Thomas struggles with “extreme narcissism and anger management problems.” Per the court accusation, she also accuses him of relying “upon the use of full-time nannies.” And that is not the end of it. Court documents allege that Thomas “has drunk alcohol to excess, mixed with prescription drugs, that has caused him to be impaired.” Partying on your own time is fine, but she says that Thomas has done this “during periods of time in which he had custody of the children.” That might be mitigated if he is relying upon full-time nannies, but ti’s not exactly encouraging. Combined with everything else, including the two accusations of sexual assault, and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture of Thomas as a man or as a father. Thomas, however, hit back. Thomas argued that Kathryn made these court arguments “in bad faith.” He went on to argue that Kathryn did so “for the purpose of garnering media attention.” Thomas even alleged that Kathryn was bent toward “creating material for her storyline on Southern Charm and ensuring her marketability as a ‘reality TV star.'” Kathryn’s priority is her children. Everything else is secondary. Because celebrity court battles are so very public, it is not uncommon for one party to argue that the other is just trying to feed a media frenzy. Sometimes, the men who make these arguments are just bad dudes. One thing that we should point out about these Christmas photos is that we don’t know who took them. It could be anyone — hired help, a friend, or any family member. It could also be Thomas Ravenel himself. Sometimes, parents set aside their differences on holidays, especially when young children are involved. That said, it appears that Thomas and Kathryn held separate Christmases for their children at separate homes. A wise decision. You know how the saying goes, don’t you? For John-David Duggar and Abbie Burnett, first came love, as they started courting in June of this year. Then came marriage, as the couple exchanged vows in early November . And now comes a baby in a baby carriage? Perhaps, the Internet is speculating, based on the photo John-David shared on Instagram yesterday, following by a possibly revealing caption. For starters, as you can tell, Duggar is covering up his wife’s stomach, maybe because there’s a child growing inside of there and she isn’t ready to show off her bump just yet. More interestingly, however, this is what he wrote along with the cute snapshot. Hope you all had a very merry Christmas! “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 It doesn’t take a giant leap in logic to decipher this quote a certain way, does it? Granted, Duggar and Burnett have been husband and wife for less than two months. But this is the Duggar family, folks. They get right to baby-making as soon as those vows are exchanged. Cases in point: John-David’s sister Joy-Anna, and his sister-in-law, Kendra, both got pregnant on their honeymoons. For now, however, neither Duggar nor Burnett are saying anything else on the topic. They’re just focused, publicly, on their new marriage and all the joys it has brought them to date. “It little surreal because I’ve dreamed about [seeing her in a wedding gown] ever since I met Abbie,” Duggar said in a video the newlyweds filmed prior to even taking off their wedding attire last month. He added at the time that the pair’s only real immediate plans involved “serving God together and spending time together.” This time may have been without any clothes on and without any protection being used to prevent a pregnancy. As for their wedding itself? “We are so excited to be married!” the stars told Us Weekly very soon after it transpired, saying of the event: “It was a beautiful moment and we so appreciate our friends and family for sharing this day with us. Liam Hemsworth has broken his silence. The actor has issued his first statement since becoming a first-time husband, posting a very short but simple and sweet message on Instagram. Along with the above image of he and Miley Cyrus hugging on their wedding day, Hemsworth wrote “My Love” this week, along with a heart emoji. We told you it was short and simple. But also: very sweet, right? The singer and the actor, who started dating back in 2009 and broke up for a bit before rekindling their romance for good in 2014, surprised fans by finally exchanging vows on December 23 . Engagement chatter had surrounded this couple for many years, but neither Miley nor Liam confirmed their plans to actually tie the knot after all this time. Not until after it transpired, that is. At that point, followers were treated to an early Christmas present when photos such as the ones above and below popped up on Instagram, making it very clear that they were now husband and wife. The aforementioned two words marked the first time Hemsworth has commented on his bride, but Cyrus previously shared another snapshot from her nuptials and wrote as a caption: 10 years later ….. Later, when a fan told Cyrus on Instagram, “Congratulations you married the hottest man in Hollywood!!!!,” the artist enthusiastically and passionately agreed. “I knooooowwwww right” she replied. On Wednesday night, meanwhile, Miley Tweeted a precious video from the night in which she danced to Bruno Mars‘s “Uptown Funk” in her wedding dress. Members from both families attended the ceremony, which took place in the couple’s Tennessee home. “They always wanted a small, private celebration with family and close friends and that’s what they got. Miley seems ecstatic,” a source told People Magazine, adding: “She loves her Tennessee home and was very happy about having the ceremony there.” But why did the celebrities get married now? What changed in their relationship? Perhaps nothing. Perhaps they just thought it was time to lock each other in for life. However, the rumor mill is churning excitedly with another possibility. Could Miley want to get pregnant ? And she figured she ought to be a wife before she became a mother? It’s possible. The young woman who entered our lives as Hannah Montana is now 26 years old. It wouldn’t be crazy at all at this point for her and Liam to have baby. Just a few months ago, Meghan McCain beautifully eulogized her father , the late Senator John McCain. She just experienced Christmas without her dad for the first time in her life, and shared a short, sweet post on the subject. Now, she’s having to defend herself against trolls who think that grief should be bottled up and never spoken aloud. “I love you,” Meghan McCain wrote in a tweet that paid tribute to her dearly departed father, John McCain. She included a photo of the late Senator operating an outdoor grill. “Merry Christmas dad,” she continued, including his Twitter handle. She concluded her tweet with: “Wherever you are.” The first holiday without a close loved one is incredibly difficult. We’re sure that Meghan felt a full swing of emotions when she uploaded that photo. Tweets are short by their very nature, but writing even just a few words about a recently passed loved one can bring those emotions to the surface. More than anything else, she would have felt grief as she wrote it. Unfortunately, one person sent her a very vile reply. A Twitter account from some nightmarish person whose pinned tweet is by Sebastian Gorka made an absurd demand of Meghan. “Do this in private,” the troll told her. Meghan quoted the troll’s tweet with a message of her own. “If there’s one thing I’m doing in 2019,” Meghan vows. “It’s to continue to destigmatize talking about grief, death, and cancer.” Pretending that your loved one never died doesn’t do you any good, and it makes your loved ones walk on eggshells. “My father shared his life in public,” Meghan affirmed. She continued: “I share it in death.” Meghan continued her tweet, directing her message at many of her followers. “To all of you out there missing a loved one tonight,” she wrote. “You are not alone.” Whether you lost a close loved one a month ago, a year ago, or a decade ago, you can’t “I’m along side you,” Meghan concludes. “Sending strength.” That is a very kind, very affirming message. “An honorable mission, Meghan,” replies one fan. “My husband died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 46.” “Grieving in private is convenient only for those who aren’t grieving,” the same fan affirms. That is profound and extremely true. “We share joy,” the fan notes. “Why not share sadness?” “These are feelings we all experience at some point,” the tweet reasons. The follower concludes: “I send love and strength your way.” “Bless you Meghan,” writes another fan. The follower acknowledges: “I know this Christmas will be especially difficult for you [and] your family.” “I lost my dear Father 5 years ago,” the fan reveals. “Not a day goes by that I do not think of him.” “But,” the follower notes. “I am so very grateful for the time he was with us.” “Merry Christmas to you and yours,” that fan concludes. As positive as those replies were, that troll was not the only terrible person on Twitter. “I agree 100%,” replied one hater who agreed with the grief-shamer. “People seem to have this need to publicize and document every thought online,” the tweet concluded. “I agree,” chimed in another Twitter clown. “Acting like she’s the first and Only one to lose a family member.” That tweet concluded: “All six of mine gone.” Obviously, Meghan McCain is a public figure. If she had not given her late father a public shout-out, people would have shamed her for “forgetting” her dad. Also, social media exists for people to document their thoughts and experiences online. It’s not supposed to be a cesspool of animosity. And she very clearly is not acitng like she’s the only one to lose a family member. At all. Maybe that person’s personal losses have made them touchy on the subject, but that’s not an excuse. Ultimately, it seems clear that Meghan’s critics were politically motivated. Derick Dillard has already made it clear. He doesn’t like gay men or gay women or transgender individuals or really anyone with a set of beliefs different than his. But might the former TLC personality actually be a fan of .. child molesters?!? Dillard himself was forced to answer this question late last week after it was posed to him by a user of social media. We know Derick has gotten himself into lots of scalding hot water in the past for his controversial (read: wrong and bigoted) views, but how did this possibly come up?!? Well… It all started when Dillard posted a quote from the Bible that reads: “Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.’ (Proverbs 21:10).” Sort of random, right? But not if you’re familiar with Dillard’s background, as one astute commenter pointed out. “So in other words, he hates people who bully teens online and call gay families a ‘travesty’ yet have no problem with child molesters,” this person wrote. When another inquired, asked the disgraced ex-reality star for a response, Derick simply replied: “Not true.” And this may very well be accurate. Dillard may, indeed, take issue with child molesters. (Which would mean he ought to take issue with brother-in-law Josh Duggar.) But here’s the thing: When your reputation is such that people legitimately believe you may be defending child molsters online, it may be time to reevaluate pretty much everything about your life. Not that we expect this from Dillard any time soon. This is someone who was dismissed by TLC due to his string of homophobic comments over the years and who has called out transgender teen Jazz Jennings on multiple occasions. He once referred to her gender reassignement surgery as child abuse . He also said the following about Nate & Jeremiah by Design stars Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent after they welcomed a son into the world. What a travesty of family . It’s sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal. Weird, right? Why would anyone possibly think someone such as Derick Dillard would be okay with child molesters? After all, he’s such an upstanding citizen who always stands up for the oppressed and the marginalized. We’re just kidding. This guy totally sucks. Since Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson married in early summer, even hardcore Duggar fans have only gotten glimpses into their life together. Now, just in time for Christmas, the couple is showing off their beautiful home. Take a look: Right before the holidays, Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson finally gave fans a real look at their home. (No, their RV adventure does not count) On the couple’s shared Instagram account, they decided to give their fans a sneak peek at their home. “I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas,” Josiah and Lauren wrote on their Instagram Stories. With it, they featured a brief glimpse at their very tidy and extremely festive living room. They definitely worked hard to strike a balance between humble and celebratory, and the results are remarkably tasteful. Take a look: The carpet looks simple but comfy and easy enough to vacuum. The room’s furniture is a simple, understated gray. Throw pillows decorate the couches, softening the visual impact of the furniture while providing some very practical comfort. The neutral tones that permeate the room really allow the lights and colors of the Christmas tree to captivate your attention. With the window blinds open, their house shares its festive light with the outside as well as those within. Some Christmas trees get upstaged by a room’s decor, but there is no risk of that happening here. Notably, the Christmas tree is not the only splash of green in the room. Of particular notice — once you’re done staring at the Christmas tree, that is — is the wall’s centerpiece. “Welcome to our happily ever after,” the sign proclaims. To show how personal the sign is, and that it’s not just something that they picked up at Target, the sign continues. “Josiah and Lauren,” the sign notes. “June 30, 2018.” June 30, just barely over a week into the summer, was the couple’s wedding date. For some married couples, a “happily ever after” declaration would be seen as very optimistic. But the Duggar clan are not permitted to divorce. They really are bound to each other, for better or for worse. Hopefully, they’ll always be as happy as they are now. Josiah and Lauren are keeping quiet about pregnancy rumors that have followed them for months. Though some say that Lauren all but confirmed the rumor, others remain deeply skeptical. In fact, some fans are actively hoping that pregnancy rumors are nothing but hot air. Several fans have commented on the couple’s posts, suggesting that Lauren is young, and that they hope that they’ll follow Jinger’s example. If Lauren waits a couple of years before having a baby, she and Josiah can get to know each other. It’s worth noting that their marriage is the first time that either of them have been truly free in their adult lives. They should enjoy that time before they become parents. There may be hope for the couple — because Josiah is known for being a bit of a rebel. Some even believe that Josiah Duggar will be the first to break free from his fertility cult family . He was previously seen as more rebellious than his siblings, and though Jim Bob controls the purse strings, that can only last for so long. He and Lauren may decide to wait before having a child. But Lauren may very well be pregnant right now. Only time will tell which fans will be excited and which will be disappointed. In the mean time, we’d settle for seeing the rest of their house!
