Here, Watch Thirty Seconds of Total Recall

Again with this “teaser for a trailer” business. If you cannot wait until Sunday to get a glimpse of the actual trailer for Len Wiseman’s Total Recall remake, here are thirty seconds of Colin Farrell driving flying cars and jumping off of balconies and Kate Beckinsale looking hot. I’m still holding out for evidence that Wiseman kept the three-boobed lady in his version, which will determine if this rehash of the 1990 sci-fi gem gets my ticket dollars or not. I mean, at least the ridiculously short 15-second Breaking Dawn Part 2 teaser trailer teaser had pecs and hands and Edward Cullen and stuff. Show me the alien boobs, Wiseman! The full trailer will air on ABC on Sunday during the first half of the Celtics-Heat game before an extended version debuts online at Apple. The official synopsis for Total Recall — “inspired anew” by Philip K. Dick’s source short story: Total Recall is an action thriller about reality and memory, inspired anew by the famous short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he’s got a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) whom he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston) – there is no one Quaid can trust, except possibly a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) working for the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy). The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate. We need to do something about crazy people having children: A Dallas mother was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of cutting her 1-year-old daughter on her throat. Police said Danielle Busby called 911 and told operators she had cut her child. When officers arrived at the home in the 10900 block of Marchant Circle at about 6:30 a.m., they found the child had been cut with a knife. The child was transported to Children’s Medical Center, where she underwent surgery and was in intensive care Monday night. Doctors put the 1-year-old into a medically induced coma to give her body a chance to heal. “I’m sure that her mind is tormented, because she is the one who actually called the police after it happened,” said Rhonda Choice, Busby’s sister. “And I just can’t imagine what’s all going through her head right now.” Busby’s family said she is a diagnosed schizophrenic who has been on and off her medications. “If you look for the signs, you really can’t prevent it, you know, not on your own, not just family alone,” said Annette Choice, Busby’s mother. “You need intervention.” Police previously were called to the Lake Highlands home about Busby’s mental health. The first call dates back to 2003. Last week, Busby’s sister called police over fears that Busby could hurt herself or her daughter. The responding Dallas police officers determined that Busby and her daughter did not appear to be in any immediate danger. “All I can go by is that the officers who went to out to the scene … they did determine that there was nothing they could do about what was going on because apparently, at that time, there was not something going on that the officers could take any action on,” Deputy Chief Sherryl Scott said. Scott said the officers told a family member to contact Child Protective Services if there were fears about the child’s safety. “I blame the authorities that didn’t respond immediately with this,” Choice said. “And we are to blame, right now. We are to blame — the family is to blame.” Police were also called to the Lake Highlands home last summer. Police said Busby was running down the street, wearing only underwear. Busby, 32, is charged with injury to a child. She is currently being held at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center on $150,000 bail. Her family said she is a Southern Methodist University graduate, a former missionary and a math tutor. Choice said she is asking for prayers for both her daughter and granddaughter. “I love her,” she said. “I am praying for her, and I know she will get better. Hopefully, she’ll be back with her baby as much as possible.” The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is expected to seek emergency custody of the girl Tuesday. This is ridiculous: Trayvon Martin, the teenager whose shooting death has sparked a national uproar, was suspended from school last month for having a baggie that contained marijuana residue in his book bag, a family spokesman said Monday. “There was no substance found. There was a baggie that school officials believe may have formerly contained marijuana. There was no arrest or citation from the police,” Ryan Julison said. Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, suggested in comments at a news conference that the marijuana residue report was aimed at smearing her dead child. “They killed my son and now they’re trying to kill his reputation,” she said. Toxicology test results were still pending on the body of Martin, 17, who was shot Feb. 26 inside a gated community in the central Florida city of Sanford by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. Martin was visiting his father in Sanford while he was suspended by Miami-Dade schools. He was unarmed. Zimmerman has not been charged in Martin’s death and claims self-defense. He told police that Martin knocked him down with a single punch and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times before he shot him, according to The Orlando Sentinel. Report: Police report details Zimmerman, witness accounts Martin’s killing has ignited racial tensions. Martin was black; Zimmerman’s father is white and his mother Hispanic. Also Monday, Florida’s Department of Juvenile Justice confirmed that Martin does not have a juvenile offender record. The information came after a public records request by The Associated Press. Skittles Steps Up And Speaks Out On The Trayvon Martin Murder

Slain teen Trayvon Martin was carrying a bag of Skittles and a can of Arizona iced tea when he was murdered by “neighborhood watchman”, George Zimmerman . Various sites and activists made a call to action to start sending empty Skittles packets to the police chief in Sanford, Bill Lee. We all waited to see what Skittles would do because this case directly impacts their brand. And Skittles has spoken. In a statement, a spokeswoman for Skittles said: “We are deeply saddened by the news of Trayvon Martin’s death and express our sincere condolences to his family and friends. We also respect their privacy and feel it inappropriate to get involved or comment further as we would never wish for our actions to be perceived as an attempt of commercial gain following this tragedy.” This sincere comment from Skittles was short and sweet. Grand Jury to Hear Trayvon Martin Case, Mull Charges Against George Zimmerman

Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend, who was on the phone with him before the unarmed teen was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, will testify before a grand jury. The grand jury will be impaneled April 10 to determine if Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain, should be charged with murder, according to reports. The Trayvon Martin case gained national attention after he was gunned down by Zimmerman, who felt he was acting suspiciously in his gated community. Martin was unarmed, and even though a 911 dispatcher told Zimmerman not to pursue Martin, he subsequently shot the teenager, claiming self defense. To the outrage of many, local law enforcement in Sanford, Fla., declared that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Zimmerman with a crime in the February killing. Amid public outcry, the Florida State Attorney’s Office has since announced that a grand jury would ultimately decide if he should face criminal charges, however. The FBI and the U.S. Justice Department have also launched investigations. The 17-year-old Martin was on the phone with his girlfriend, whose name has not been released because she’s a minor, as Zimmerman began to follow him. Sanford Police never questioned Trayvon’s girlfriend, even though her parents contacted the cops to tell them she wanted to come in for a full interview. A grand jury will now give her that chance to tell her side of the story. “Trayvon’s girlfriend has been told that the (Fla.) State Attorney’s Office has prepared a subpoena for her to appear in front of the grand jury,” a police source said. Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee Jr. temporarily stepped down from his position Thursday, after he came under fire for not arresting Zimmerman in the case. Zimmerman called 911 46 times in 2011, according to records. Not a single one of those calls resulted in an arrest or further action being needed by police.

The alleged victim of Lindsay Lohan’s hit-and-run has gone to the emergency room, according to reports. Could the actress end up taking a hit herself? Hours after the troubled star’s car allegedly swiped a person in a parking lot this morning, the L.A.P.D. confirms that the man sought medical attention. Police Department sources confirmed to E! News that the man who was reportedly hit by Lohan in Hollywood initially did not claim to be injured . However, the supposed victim has recently gone to the ER, although the authorities do not know what reasons he had for going there specifically. There have also been reports that the man is from another country and did not know who Lohan was, but LAPD could not confirm that information. For her part, Lohan is calling out the Hookah Lounge manager, who said she grazed him with her Porsche, Tweeting: “Scrape? This is a complete lie.” “I’ve been at community service.” “Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn’t even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi.” Lindsay adds, “These false accusations are absurd.” Lohan, in fact, may have been the one who called the police in the first place because of the swarms of paparazzi blocking her getaway from the club. My names Valerie and I’m 16 years old, I live in Las Vegas, Nevada . My dream has always been to meet Justin or at least see him up close because I had been to his concert here in Vegas, but it’s not the same feeling as if you see him up close or meet him. The day he went on Ellen in November to tell Whitney Elementary that he would donate money to them and perform for them , it was like an ‘omg’ moment. I wanted to go, but one problem. I’m not in Elementary school. I’m a sophomore in Highschool. I told my friend about it and she’s a huge Belieber as well, so we decided that somehow we would get to see Justin that day. I didn’t believe it, but I told myself in order to feel good. I talked to some friends who had gone to Whitney when they were younger and they said they might be able to get me in, but that didn’t work out. So my friend and I kind of started loosing hope and just starting to realize we weren’t going to see Justin at all. We forgot about it until at our local radio station they started talking about how Justin was coming and he was going to perform . They mentioned them hosting a Meet & Greet and they would be giving out tickets daily, blah blah blah. I freaked out, my friend and I called day and night. We only had a week to do this and win those tickets. Ends up we didn’t win them. It’s Thursday night and we’re devastated, so she calls me and tells me, “We’re going. We’re not giving up. I’ll get my dad to drive us tomorrow, but we have to ditch school and not get caught”. I was ready for it. The next day December 16th, 2011 I woke up thinking I could meet Justin today. I wasn’t getting my hopes up though. We went to school but towards the middle, we ditched. We got to Whitney Elementary and they had bunch of security. We tried several times to sneak into the school but we stopped once the police told us we could end up tased, lol. Anyways, we waited and waited until finally Justin arrived in these really nice sleek black cars. He got out with Alfredo and waved to us. There weren’t that many girls yet. But he ended up going in Ellen’s Swaggin’ Waggin’ that was parked outside Whitney. He got changed and while this was happening, Scooter and Kenny were outside waiting for him. We started yelling and screaming so they would come over and they did. They happily came and signed autographs, gave hugs and just talked to us . Kenny signed my jacket and Scooter took a picture with me & my friend. By this time I was already so happy. I just can’t even explain it. I hugged Kenny and told him thank you. I told Scooter thank you. When they were about to leave, we asked him if Justin would come talk to us and he smiled and said “I’ll get him to come here. He wants to anyways” I was like akdfjaljklsjfklasdf. We waited another while after this and finally Justin came out of Ellen’s bus. By now there was a lot more girls waiting for him including me. Everyone was going crazy, many were crying uncontrollably, others just screaming and jumping up and down. He came towards us and waved, he kept smiling and laughing. I couldn’t believe how close I was to him. He moved down the row of girls, and finally he got so close. I can’t describe what I was feeling. He looked at me and my friend and said Hi, he signed some autographs, and hung out for a few minutes, he tried to get to as many fans as possible. There was a lot and I’m just grateful for even being 3 ft of distance to him. By now he was in hurry cause he had to perform, so he left and said maybe he would come back, but he didn’t. My friend and I waited til the private concert was over and he came back out but didn’t get close to the fans he went back into the cars and drove away, but what I do and always will remember was him waving goodbye as he was driving out of the school. That day I went home knowing that I could die happily. My hero, inspiration, my everything had said hi to me and smiled. One smile, that’s all I asked for.
