Ryan Lochte, 3 Olympians Robbed at Gunpoint in Rio

Ryan Lochte has confirmed that he and three other members of the United States Swim Team were robbed this morning in Rio de Janeiro. The four swimmers – a group that also included Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen – were in a taxi headed for the Olympic Village when the incident occurred, according the the U.S. Olympic Committee. Patrick Sandusky, a spokesman for the organization, explained what happened via the following statement: “According to four members of the U.S. Olympic Swimming Team, they left France House early Sunday morning in a taxi headed for the Olympic Village. “Their taxi was stopped by individuals posing as armed police officers who demanded the athletes’ money and other personal belongings.” Concluded Sandusky: “All four athletes are safe and cooperating with authorities.” Lochte’s mother, Ileana Lochte, also spoke to USA Today of the incident. “I think they’re all shaken up. There were a few of them,” she told the newspaper. “No, they were just, they just took their wallets and basically that was it.” A 12-time Olympic medalist, Lochte won one gold medal during the Rio Games. He wrapped up his 2016 Olympic experience on Thursday night. Lochte himself, meanwhile, described the robbery to NBC on Sunday afternoon. “We got pulled over, in the taxi, and these guys came out with a badge, a police badge, no lights, no nothing just a police badge and they pulled us over. “They pulled out their guns, they told the other swimmers to get down on the ground – they got down on the ground. “I refused, I was like we didn’t do anything wrong, so – I’m not getting down on the ground. “And then the guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and he said, ‘Get down,’ and I put my hands up, I was like ‘whatever.’ “He took our money, he took my wallet – he left my cell phone, he left my credentials.” Damn. Scary stuff. Police officials have told NBC News they weren’t contacted about the incident, but they are available to help the athletes if necessary. When news of the robbery first hit, an IOC spokesperson denied that it took place. This spokesperson has since acknowledged that it took place, claiming he didn’t have pertinent information upon first making the denial. View Slideshow: 19 Scandalous Sports Stories In a recent interview with E! News, the 32-year-old said he needed a break from swimming. He said he was unsure if he would complete four years from now in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. “Going in day in and day out just beating up your body, it takes a toll. Being at the age I am now, it’s definitely time that I need a break, but I can’t say it’s over,” he said. Taking advantage of his fame after the 2012 Olympics Games in London, Lochte signed on for  What Would Ryan Lochte Do? . This E! reality series, which chronicled life for Ryan Lochte as the single and somewhat goofy Ryan Lochte, lasted just one season. We wish Lochte well.

Florida Man Arrested For Weeks-Long Prank Call Campaign Against Area Pizza Places

Florida Man Randy Riddle was arrested after waging a weeks-long campaign of prank phone calls and fake orders to area pizza places. The hilariously-named Riddle, of Sebastian, Fla., was arrested on August 1. He faces seven criminal charges in all, local media reports indicate. Over three weeks of watching Riddle, police say he placed numerous calls for pizza to establishments near his Sunshine State abode. He then refused to pay, ordered to fake addresses, or in some cases, simply prank called the pizzerias to inform them their food sucked.  Riddle has apparently never heard of Yelp, but that’s another topic. He posted $5,500 bond and was released after pleading not guilty to making harassing phone calls, committing petty theft, and more. A condition of his bail is that he can’t call any pizza places anymore. He allegedly used five different  numbers to carry out his campaign of pizza terror and cost the restaurants at least $667, officials say. That would be the estimated total of pizza gone to waste. 🙁 View Slideshow: Florida Man: Strange Sunshine State Stories They weren’t the only victims of the Riddler – how the $h!t did it take us eight paragraphs to think of that!? – and his nefarious antics, either. The 49-year-old also apparently made a number of harassing calls to the police department, city hall, and the Department of Health. To complain about these same restaurants, naturally. Riddle has previously been convicted of making harassing phone calls in the past, so this pattern of behavior is apparently his thing. One which he’s not very good at, clearly. Police put out a flyer about Riddle and asked restaurants to contact investigators in case they had also been harassed, officials say. “His purpose is to haggle either over the price of the food or the quality upon delivery,” police said during their investigation into Riddle. Riddle sometimes uses a false name; other times, no name at all. In any case, he ordered an a$$-ton of food that ultimately went to waste. “Defendant shall refrain from calling any pizza establishment and/or making any calls or his bond shall be revoked,” the affidavit states.  Think he’ll oblige by the rules set forth?  Or will the Riddler Rise Again?! Tyga: Wanted By Police For Unpaid Rent! Facing Arrest!

Dude, pay your bills. While Kylie Jenner is clapping and jumping up and down over the $200,000 Mercedes Tyga bought for her 19th birthday, a judge and some lawyers sat inside a Los Angeles courtroom today waiting for the rapper to show up (spoiler alert: he didn’t). According to TMZ , Tyga was due to appear in court for owing his former landlord $480,000.  Lawyers for landlord told the judge that Tyga not only failed to pay rent, but he also left the Malibu property “in shambles.” The house in question is one he rented for $16,000/month back in 2012. View Slideshow: 13 Celebrities Who Have Filed for Bankruptcy After reading about his birthday present to Jenner, the landlord wants to know where the heck Tyga is hiding his assets if he hasn’t yet paid back what he owes.  Lawyers argued that Tyga’s “fraudulent transfer of assets should go to satisfy the judgment.”   Tyga’s checked financial past is a bit of a headache, with at least one more other former landlord claiming that the rapper owed five figures in unpaid rent. And that’s just in real estate.  As far as cars are concerned, Tyga is still on the hook for a lot of money. TMZ reported back in April that Tyga owes Choice Motor Credit $357,000 in car payments for his 2013 Lamborghini Aventador, which the rapper denied . Tyga Gets $45K Diamond Grill After Reuniting With Kylie Jenner “I sold my lambo aventador & Bentley mulsanne over a year ago. I got a hurracan Rolls Royce and Ferrari nice try @tmz,” Tyga tweeted. CMC actually repossessed his 2014 Bentley Mulsanne, and are still expecting $91,000. Back in February, Tyga was evicted from the $4.8 million Hollywood Hills home he had be renting since December for $17,000 a month, which forced him to shack up with Jenner in her Calabasas home. While all this is happening, Tyga has been flaunting his faux wealth by buying Jenner cars.  In fact, last September it was revealed that Tyga actually leased a $450,000 in her name, and then gave it to her for her 18th birthday. You Can’t Be Serious: Cop Who Killed Paul O’Neal Feared He Was Unarmed, Told ‘Don’t Worry, He Was In A Hot Car’

Chicago Police Department SMH, these trigger happy cops are so ready to cut down a Black man’s life that they’re shooting at each other. Body Cam Footage Seems To Show Chicago Police Fired First, Paul O’Neal Was Unarmed Despite conveniently capturing everything but the fatal shot that killed Paul O’Neal after a car chase through Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, The Chicago Tribune reports that police body cams may have recorded just enough to show just how few f—s were given in this latest wrongful police shooting. In the minutes following O’Neal’s death, the officers involved realized that not only did the teenager not fire at police before crashing the stolen Jaguar he was driving; he may not have had a weapon at all. In fact: the officer who shot O’Neal in the back sounded worried about how the shooting would be judged. His sergeant was unbothered, though. The officer who believed he had fired the fatal shot initially thought shots had been fired at his police car from the speeding Jaguar when it actually came from officers down the street shooting toward the Jaguar. While the body camera attached to the uniform of that officer did not capture the fatal shot, a video showed that the officer’s body camera was operating after the shooting and was still recording when police processing the scene asked him to walk through the backyard where he fired his gun and help them find the shell casings. A sergeant asked whether the shots fired at the officer came from the rear of the yard, but the officer told him the shots fired in his direction happened back on the street moments before the stolen car chase ended in a collision. “No, the shots were coming at us when the car was coming at us,” the officer said before describing how he ended up in the backyard chasing O’Neal on foot. “I took off this way, he was coming over this way,” he said, indicating different sections of the backyard. “When I approached this, I didn’t know if he was armed or not.” As seconds passed in the backyard, the officer grew distraught and feared that it would be judged a bad shooting. “Man, this is so f—– up, man. I don’t want nothing to happen to that f—— guy, dude,” he said to the sergeant. “The way s—‘s going man, I’m going to be f—— crucified, bro.” At that point, the sergeant sought to reassure the officer, citing the car theft as justification for what happened. “Relax, he was in a hot car. Nothing to worry about.” With this much proof of wrong doing, do you think the officers involved in this case will actually serve some time?

Antonio Armstrong, Former NFL Linebacker, Killed by Son

An unspeakable tragedy has struck the world of professional sports. Antonio Armstrong, a former linebacker for the Miami Dolphins was shot and killed along with his wife in Houston, Texas. Police have confirmed that the main suspect in the crime is the couple’s 16-year old son. The young man’s name has not been released to the public due to his age, he has been charged with murder as a juvenile and is being questioned by authorities. According to a local NBC affiliate, the 42-year old Armstrong and his wife, Dawn, were found at approximately 2 a.m. after police responded to a 911 call. Dawn was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. The ex-NFL player was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and listed in critical condition… but later passed away from a gunshot wound to the head. The couple’s two other kids were at home at the time of the incident, but were unharmed. Those familiar with the family are attempting to come to grips with how this could have happened. “This was an outstanding family. The male of the family was an absolute hard-working breadwinner,” local homicide lnvestigator Jimmy Dodson said, via KPRC. “He was an associate pastor in the area church. He’s a great guy. The mother was apparently a great mother, according to family members. “Like I said, it was kind of the all-American family.” Investigators who searched the southwest Houston residence discovered a still-smoking gun with a note next to it that reads “I’ve been watching you.” Police then arrested the 16-year-old boy. “There was nothing left out. There was no neglect or anything. There was nothing that even could possibly have justified this situation,” Dawn Armstrong’s cousin, Vaun Lee, told reporters. “This doesn’t even make sense. It makes no sense.” Prior to turning professional, Armstrong was a college football star at Texas A&M, where he played for the Aggies from 1991 to 1994. The university released the following message on Twitter soon after the horrible news broke: Armstrong was named first-team Associated Press All-America linebacker in 1994 and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He was released that October after suffering an ankle injury and signed with the Dolphins, with whom he recorded four solo tackles his room season. “Antonio was a special young man. He was an All-American and an outstanding player, but he was an even better person,” his former head coach at A&M, R.C. Slocum, said in a statement. “He was such a positive influence on his teammates. He always had a great big smile and was a joy to coach.” The Dolphins said via statement that they were “saddened by the tragic” deaths, adding: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.” A GoFundMe page, meanwhile, has been created to help the family in the aftermath of the shooting; thus far, it has raised over $53,000. “Let’s rally around this family and show them how much we loved Dawn and Antonio, and that we will miss them and their big hearts dearly,” the page reads. Uhhh: Woman Claims Hibachi Cook Sexually Assaulted Her With “Peeing” Water Toy

Woman Claims Sexual Assault At The Hands Of Water Toy Held By Hibachi Cook Sexual assault is no joke. It is to be taken very seriously. This, however, is a lil’, well, read this report from AZFamily for yourself and tell us what you think… A woman’s husband said she was sexually assaulted when she was squirted with water from a toy at a hibachi restaurant. The woman, Isabelle Lassiter, and her husband, James Lassiter, called the police but refused to file charges when they arrived Monday. “It was a sexual-style assault on my wife,” James Lassiter said Tuesday. The toy, used during the cook’s show at Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse, was made to look like a little boy, and it shoots water when its plastic pants are pulled down. Isabelle Lassiter said she thinks the cooks here showed a little too much of the little guy in the cook’s hand. “It peed on me, basically,” she said Tuesday. Really? You got R.Kelly’ed? Really? Smh. Isabelle and James Lassiter were in town on a job from Texas. They said they were mortified when the chef essentially made the toy urinate water on Isabelle. “(It happened) in front of our minor children and grandchildren,” James Lassiter said. “It really didn’t have a wiener, but you got the point,” Isabelle Lassiter said. Police noted the doll wasn’t anatomically correct, but the Lassiters said that didn’t matter. “Just because somebody cut off a piece of plastic, OK, it’s not there anymore, doesn’t change the fact that you’re getting peed on,” James Lassiter said. Listen, if they didn’t like the lil’ water toy, fine. Just say you don’t like being squirted on, but “sexual assault” and “peed on”…? Image via CNN/WTVF

SMFH: SECOND Miami Police Officer Suspended For Involvement In Unarmed Charles Kinsey Shooting

Here we go again… Miami Police Commander Charged In Charles Kinsey Shooting Remember when we told you that the officer who shot unarmed Charles Kinsey was identified as Officer Jonathan Aledda? Well there’s a SECOND officer who’s been arrested for their involvement in the shooting. Commander Emile Hollant is accused of fabricating information (presumably in support of his buddy) who “accidentally” shot the unarmed therapist while “protecting him” from his autistic patient. NBC Miami reports: A North Miami police commander has been suspended for allegedly fabricating information about the shooting of an unarmed black therapist. City Manager Larry Spring Jr. said Friday that commander Emile Hollant is suspended without pay. Spring declined to give specifics about how Hollant allegedly fabricated information about Monday’s shooting of Charles Kinsey by Officer Jonathan Aledda. “He totally violated his trust from the public to protect and serve by giving misinformation to this department,” North Miami Councilman Scott Galvin said at Friday’s news conference. ” He not only jeopardized Mr. Kinsey’s life and the life of his client but he jeopardized the life of every police officer who serves this city.” Hilton Napoleon, Kinsey’s attorney, said he was disturbed by Friday’s development. “The fact that they were trying to cover this up initially is a huge problem,” Napoleon said. Aledda has been placed on paid administrative leave while the shooting is investigated. He is a four-year veteran and a member of the city’s SWAT team. SMFH…this is some bullisht but not surprising. What do YOU think about the cop trying to fabricate info in the Charles Kinsey shooting???

Michelle Suzanne Hadley Poses as Ex-Boyfriend’s Pregnant Wife, Responds to Craigslist Rape Ads

A California woman is accused of posing as her ex’s pregnant wife and responding to Craiglist fantasy rape ads with her contact info. Seriously. That takes a rare kind of twisted human … In other words, she pretended to be ex-boyfriend’s pregnant wife with the goal of getting strangers on Craigslist to go and rape the wife. Literal, sociopathic, life-sentence revenge porn. Michelle Suzanne Hadley, 29, was arrested last month. She appeared in court this past Monday, July 18 and was charged with 10 felonies. Most notable among them? Stalking despite a restraining order, making threats, assault and attempted forcible rape, CBS News reports. Yes, attempted forcible rape. Even though other people were the ones trying to commit said rape, Hadley was the catalyst for this act. Hadley was involved a two-year relationship in 2014-15 with the victim’s husband, a U.S. Marshals Service agent, according to authorities. They split up, and he began dating his now-wife, whose identity has not been released; “Jane Doe” is what she’s called in court documents. Prosecutors say Hadley sent photos of “Jane Doe” to men, and details about her daily schedule so they knew when she would be alone. “Hadley is accused of telling the [Craigslist] responders that the victim wanted the responders to have forcible intercourse with her.” The D.A.’s office said, per the L.A. Times: “Even if she screamed or resisted.” As a result of the ads and Hadley’s responses, several men showed up at Jane Doe’s home in Anaheim, Calif., with the intent of raping her. Fortunately, they were unsuccessful. One of them attacked her, but fled as she called for help; Hadley was subsequently arrested by the Anaheim Police Department on June 24. She was released on $100,000 bail, after which authorities said she continued to threaten Jane Doe in emails and respond to rape ads. Police arrested Hadley again on July 14, and raised the bail amount to $1 million. If convicted on all counts, she may never be released. She faces up to LIFE in state prison. Orange County Deputy District Attorney Richard Zimmer summed it up as well as one can when he told a local ABC television station: “The fact that somebody would go to such lengths to get some sort of revenge on an innocent person, it’s pretty shocking.” To say the least.  View Slideshow: Strange But True News Hall of Fame
