This is not the first time Sinead O’Connor has behaved erratically, but that doesn’t make it any less frightening. On June 23rd, Chicago police received a call from Dublin, Ireland authorities that the singer’s family had alerted them that O’Connor had threatened to kill herself. According to TMZ , O’Connor told loved ones that she planned to jump off a Chicago-area bridge. Though it’s not an “active search,” local police have been given the heads up to keep a lookout for the 49-year-old. O’Connor refuted this report on her Facebook page on June 24th: “Oh and by the way it’s bullshit I jumped off a bridge, some stupid bitch up at Swords Garda station decided she’d like to throw a bit of false and malicious gossip about is all). “AM FAR TOO FUCKING HAPPY FOR THAT!!” O’Connor sent another Facebook update a few hours later: “Thought for the day Of The Baptist.. 24-Year-Old Man Arrested For Beach Attack Using Hammer, Racial Slurs And Threats Against Police This guy was really on one… 24-year-old Gianpaolo Cerratani of Revere, MA was arraigned today in Chelsea District Court after being arrested Sunday at Revere Beach for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, civil rights violation, threats to commit a crime, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after attacking a group of Hispanic and African-American young men and teens (ranging in age from 16-20) with a hammer while yelling racial slurs. Witnesses say it all started when Cerretani took a football from a child and got upset after the group of teens and young men took the ball from him to give back to the kid — that’s when he started shouting racial slurs WHILE swinging a hammer. At least one person was hurt, an 18-year-old man from Lowell, who suffered minor injuries from being struck by the hammer but declined medical transport. The group managed to subdue Cerratani until police were called to the beach at around 4:20, but that’s when things only got worse… State Police said that, after Cerretani was cuffed, he continued to shout racial slurs and obscenities–and that he called one trooper a “pig” and said “I’ll take you too.” Cerretani, who was bleeding from several cuts to his head, was taken to Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett for treatment. People ain’t isht… Man Leaves Baby In Hot Car Outside Barbershop An Iowa man is making national headlines after he told police he “forgot” his child was in the backseat of his sweltering hot car and went inside a barbershop for “an extended period of time.” The Desmoines Register reports: A Des Moines man told police that he had fallen asleep in a sweltering car while his 6-month-old son was dying from heat exposure in the back seat, according to a police report. But detectives aren’t buying his story. Lance Jordan Williams Sr., 35, is in jail on a child-endangerment charge after authorities determined that the baby had been left in the car Saturday afternoon while the outside temperature approached 90 degrees. Based on interviews with Williams and witnesses, police said they believe Williams parked his 1998 Dodge Caravan outside Barbershop Fresh, 501 Euclid Ave., and went inside the barbershop for an “extended period of time” before the child was found unresponsive. Williams initially told police a different story, according to the police report. He said he parked behind the business with his son in the back seat and started to play a game on his phone, while the car was turned off. The investigation has identified inconsistencies in his statements,” Sgt. Paul Parizek, a spokesman for the Des Moines Police Department, said Monday. “Detectives believe that he was not sleeping in the car at the time the child died.” Other people were in the barbershop while Williams was there, but police believe nobody knew that the child was outside. Medical personnel told police that the child appeared dead when they arrived, according to the report. The child likely died from overheating, but the Polk County Medical Examiner has not released autopsy results and an official cause of death. Friday night, Christina Grimmie was shot to death following a concert in a senseless act of violence by Kevin James Loibl . The 22-year-old singer and former contestant on The Voice had a spirited heart and a promising career that was cut short by this disturbed individual. Further deaths and injuries might have occurred had it not been for her brother, Marcus Grimmie, who tackled Loibl upon witnessing the attack on his sister. During the struggle, Loibl turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. Marcus, who goes by Mark, has now broken his silence by posting a heartfelt message about his sister to Facebook. “Christina was more than my sister. She was a partner in life. A superstar. A goofball. Introverted. And a friend to everyone. Genuinely,” he wrote. “But above all…she was my baby sister. She loved the Lord and her family and was always there for me and I honestly don’t know what ill do without her.” Mark then humbly asked friends and fans to share memories they have of Christina to the page to honor her life. “But please, if you are reading this far, I would love all and any of you to post pics of you and her and/or memories you have of her down in the comments,” he shared. “I will cherish it forever and always. Friday night, a gunman took the life of Christina Grimmie , a 22-year-old singer and finalist of The Voice season 6. The shooting took place just after a concert in Orlando, Fla., where Grimmie opened for the band Before You Exit. Police have now identified the man as Kevin James Loibl, a 27-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, Fla. Officials believe Loibl traveled two hours to Orlando specifically with the intention of killing Grimmie. He was armed with two handguns and a hunting knife, according to authorities. Grimmie was signing autographs during a meet-and-greet after the show when Loibl approached and shot her. Grimmie’s brother Marcus tackled the gunman, who then shot and killed himself. However, suicide may not have been part of Loibl’s original plan. Police say Loibl had made plans to return to St. Petersburg after the show, suggesting he thought he might get away with murder. The singer was rushed to the hospital following the attack and later died of gunshot wounds. A motive is still unknown, but in a press conference Saturday morning, police said Loibl appeared to be a “deranged fan.” They say they are searching his phone and computer and hope to uncover more details shortly. A middle school teacher is wanted by authorities, accused of sexually abusing a child. There’s a warrant out for her arrest. Alexandria Vera was an English teacher at Aldine ISD’s Stovall Middle School. According to court documents, last summer Vera met a 13-year-old boy who was a student in her 8th grade English class during summer school. A sexual relationship reportedly developed. Vera claims she and the teen are in love, and she’s been introduced to his family as his girlfriend, court documents state. The boy’s parents are reportedly accepting of the relationship, including Vera in family gatherings. Parents at the middle school are sounding off about the accusations. “I have chills just because of this — just think that the teacher would even do something like this,” parent Mary Claycomb said. One student told Eyewitness News that other students would talk about Vera’s suspicious behavior with the teen boy. “He like grabbed her butt, and everybody saw it,” the student said. “And then they were talking about it.” Court documents go on to detail the fact that Vera allegedly became pregnant with the boy’s baby in January, and his family was said to be excited and supportive about the baby. But after an unexpected visit to the school by Child Protective Services in February, when Vera and the boy were questioned about their relationship, she reportedly became nervous and terminated the pregnancy. Vera is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, and is currently wanted for arrest. Aldine ISD issued the following statement: “Aldine ISD has been made aware that charges have been filed against a former Stovall Middle School teacher involved in inappropriate behavior with a male student. When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave. Aldine ISD Police investigated the incident and turned their findings over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. The safety and security of Aldine ISD’s students and staff remains a priority of the school district.” ABC13
