Haters gonna hate. Coppers gonna cop. Arizona Cop Seen Punching 15-Year-Old Girl In The Face Via RawStory In a video uploaded to YouTube on Friday, a female Mesa, Arizona police officer can be seen punching and brutalizing a teen girl as her mother begs the officer to stop. According to the Free Thought Project, the 15-year-old girl was a runaway who the police officer was attempting to apprehend. As a witness filmed, the officer walked up to the girl and punched her, knocking her down. She then put the girl in a chokehold — even after the teen’s mother begged her and a second officer to stop, saying that the girl is asthmatic and has emotional issues. “She just punched her in the face!” said the woman holding the camera. As her legs kicked and flailed, the girl told the officers she couldn’t breathe, screaming, “Stop!” over and over, but they continued to pin her against the pavement. The second officer said that everything his comrade did was according to police procedure and that if she’d wanted to the officer “could have shot her dead.” Luis Paul Santiago, one of the witnesses, said on Facebook, “We’re going to call her tonight, we got her info. Pretty sad she had asthma which explains why she was kicking like a fish.” Sad as this is, at least we are seeing that there is a MAJOR problem with the policing in this country. Can we expect justice or more of the same ? Grand Jury Expected To Reveal Decision In Eric Garner Case On Wednesday The grand jury investigating the death of Eric Garner — choked to death by NYPD officers after selling cigarettes on the street — is expected to bring back their decision on Wednesday . With the disappointing outcomes of recent racially motivated police violence cases, people are hoping that murderous police will finally be asked to answer for their actions in a court of law. Via NYpost : The Staten Island grand jury investigating the police chokehold death of Eric Garner has finished hearing testimony and will be asked Wednesday to decide whether criminal charges should be filed, The Post has learned. The lawyer for the cop who put Garner into a chokehold said he didn’t expect the panel to deliberate more than two hours before making its decision. “If there’s no true bill, I expect a press release. If there’s an indictment, I expect I’ll get a call to arrange my client’s surrender,” said Stuart London, the lawyer for Officer Daniel Pantaleo. Prosecutors will sum up their evidence in the morning and give the grand jurors legal instructions, then tell them to start deliberating, law enforcement sources said. It’s unclear what charge or charges the panel will be asked to consider. During an unrelated news conference, Staten Island District Attorney Dan Donvovan urged the city “to be patient,” telling reporters: “We are going to let the grand jury do their work and then answer a lot of your questions.” Donovan also said officials expect protests “regardless of what the decision is.” NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said that while “people have a right to demonstrate,” cops will arrest anyone who commits an “actual crime,” including vandalism. “We have the ability to have a level of tolerance, breathing room if you will, and we’ve been doing that for these last eight, nine days and this is a department that has a lot of experience dealing with various forms of demonstrations and we adjust our strategies and our tactics depending on circumstances of the moment,” Bratton said. What do you think the outcome will be?

An absolute must-read It’s safe to say that this past year has probably been the worst of Janay Rice’s life. The story and accompanying video of her now-husband, Ray Rice, punching her unconscious inside an Atlantic City elevator became one of the biggest and most emotionally-charged stories of the year. After numerous tweets, Facebook rants, and Instagram posts, Janay sits down with ESPN’s Jemele Hill to detail her relationship with Ray and what went down that fateful night. Via ESPN Editor’s Note: This is Janay Rice’s story, as told to ESPN’s Jemele Hill. On Wednesday, Nov. 5, Jemele interviewed Janay for three hours at the home of Janet Rice, Ray Rice’s mother, in their hometown of New Rochelle, New York. Ray Rice was not present. Janay’s account of what happened in Atlantic City, and in the months that followed, was written from Jemele’s extensive interview, as well as a phone follow-up. No questions were off limits. Janay Rice was given approval over its content and release date. There was something different about that day. The two of us were just off, starting that morning. I was annoyed because it was Valentine’s Day and Ray and one of his friends had planned a group trip to Atlantic City, while I had wanted to do something with just the two of us. I was going to surprise Ray at the hotel with a couples massage, but the manager spoiled the surprise by calling Ray to confirm the time, instead of checking with me. From that moment on I was annoyed with everything, but I continued to act as if I was fine. We weren’t even in Atlantic City yet and nothing seemed to be going right. After a silent, three-hour car ride we arrived at the hotel, where everything seemed to be much better. There were two other couples hanging out with us — Ray’s brother and his girlfriend, plus another couple we’d become close to in Baltimore. All of us went to dinner, and then met up again later at the club inside of the Revel Casino. We were drinking and having a good time. The six of us shared two to three bottles of liquor, which we also shared with a few fans who came up to us. After the club, our friends from Baltimore, Ray and I decided to go to the late-night restaurant in the casino. Ray and I were bickering. We were drunk and tired and while I know that some people may find it hard to believe, none of the six of us can remember exactly what Ray and I were arguing about. It was that insignificant. As we were arguing, he was on his phone and not looking at me. I went to reach for his phone, and when he grabbed it back, he spit at me and I slapped him. We got into the elevator and what happened inside is still foggy to me. The only thing I know — and I can’t even say I “remember” because I only know from what Ray has told me — is that I slapped him again and then he hit me. I remember nothing else from inside the elevator. The next thing I do recall is being in the casino lobby, surrounded by cops. The police separated us and arrested us. They told me they had the entire incident on video. I was bawling. The cops tried to tell me what happened and I refused to believe them. If anything, I just felt like I was still drunk. I said to one officer, “That’s not us. What do you mean?” There were no marks on my face or body, and I felt perfectly fine. I was in complete shock. They took Ray and I to the police station, where they held us together in the same room, but they kept us far enough apart so that they could talk to us separately. Eventually, we were left alone and Ray kept saying, “It’s going to be OK. We’ll be OK.” He just kept crying and apologizing, but I didn’t really want to speak to him. We were at the police station for about six hours. Our Baltimore friends waited patiently as the police questioned us, and then drove us back home. I didn’t want to talk because we weren’t in the car alone. While in the car Ray called his manager; the Ravens security director, Darren Sanders; and his mom. We stongly encourage everyone who has clicked on this story to read the essay in it’s entirety HERE . If you are one who continues to ask “Why the hell did she STILL marry him?!” perhaps it will give you some insight. If you are one who wants Ray Rice locked in a prison for the rest of his life, perhaps you change your mind. Flip the page to see a preview of Ray and Janay’s interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer. Study Shows At Least 70 Police Departments Arrest Blacks At A Rate 10 Times Higher Than Other Races It’s certainly no secret that African-Americans are targeted by police at a much higher rate than any other race, but a new report done by USA Today recently revealed just how alarmingly true this epidemic is. via USA Today When it comes to racially lopsided arrests, the most remarkable thing about Ferguson, Mo., might be just how ordinary it is. Police in Ferguson — which erupted into days of racially charged unrest after a white officer killed an unarmed black teen — arrest black people at a rate nearly three times higher than people of other races. At least 1,581 other police departments across the USA arrest black people at rates even more skewed than in Ferguson, a USA TODAY analysis of arrest records shows. That includes departments in cities as large and diverse as Chicago and San Francisco and in the suburbs that encircle St. Louis, New York and Detroit. Those disparities are easier to measure than they are to explain. They could be a reflection of biased policing; they could just as easily be a byproduct of the vast economic and educational gaps that persist across much of the USA — factors closely tied to crime rates. In other words, experts said, the fact that such disparities exist does little to explain their causes. “That does not mean police are discriminating. But it does mean it’s worth looking at. It means you might have a problem, and you need to pay attention,” said University of Pittsburgh law professor David Harris, a leading expert on racial profiling. Whatever the reasons, the results are the same: Blacks are far more likely to be arrested than any other racial group in the USA. In some places, dramatically so. At least 70 departments scattered from Connecticut to California arrested black people at a rate 10 times higher than people who are not black, USA TODAY found. “Something needs to be done about that,” said Ezekiel Edwards, the head of the ACLU’s Criminal Law Reform Project, which has raised concerns about such disparate arrest rates. “In 2014, we shouldn’t continue to see this kind of staggering disparity wherever we look.”

Rumors of Kourtney Kardashian begging Scott Disick to get help for his increasingly troubling drinking and prescription pill habits have been confirmed by all the ugly blowout fights we’ve seen so far on Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons. So far this season, we’ve seen Kourtney kick Scott out of the house as a result of his partying, as well as Disick being hospitalized for alcohol poisoning . If anything, the show has made fans realize that Scott’s problems are worse than previously thought, and even the Kardashians wouldn’t go so far as to fake a storyline like this for ratings (we hope). So perhaps it’s not surprising that on Sunday’s Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons Season 1 Episode 4 , we learn that Scott has finally checked himself in to rehab: Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons Preview: Scott Disick Goes to Rehab Yet again, Kourtney earns her reputation as the sane, level-headed Kardashian by quietly standing by her man and breaking the news to her mother in the most casual way possible. She is loyal, that’s for sure. But to a fault? Sadly, if recent reports of Scott drinking at Kris Jenner’s birthday party are to be believed, the troubled Lord Disick still has a long way to go in his recovery. Even so, it could be a good sign that the soon-to-be father of three at least recognizes he has a problem and understands that he can’t fix it on his own. That’s the optimistic view of it, anyway. Follow the link to watch Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons online to see Scott battle his demons in front of an E! camera crew, and draw your own conclusions. 11 Times Scott Disick Was a Douche 1. These days, the television landscape is populated by so many quirky families engaging in wacky, “unscripted” behavior than when we look back on a show like The Osbournes, it’s hard to understand why it was such a cultural phenomenon. But while the MTV series that focused on Ozzy and his then unknown wife and children certainly wasn’t the first reality show, it was the first to encourage us to root for hot-tempered, entitled egomaniacs who we’d probably hate in real life. Without the Osbournes, we may have never had Jersey Shore or even (gasp!) Keeping Up With the Kardashians! The Osbournes Return to TV! So perhaps it’s out of respect for the show’s legacy (or in hopes of recreating its then-record breaking ratings) that VH1 has decided to bring The Osbournes back to television. Of course, things have changed a bit since the show went first went of the air in 2005: Sharon Osbourne hosts The Talk on CBS, and she’s not the only one to carve out a post-Osbournes television career for herself… Daughter Kelly Osbourne co-hosts Fashion Police on E!, and has quickly gained respect as a designer and all-around fashionista. Sadly, Jack Osbourne was diagnosed with MS in 2012, but he remains active, and in the past two years alone, Jack has gotten married, had a daughter, and produced a documentary about his father. Ozzy, of course, remains Ozzy, but we’re sure most fans wouldn’t have it any other way. VH1 hasn’t set a definitive release date yet, but The Osbournes will reportedly return some time in 2015. 23 Biggest Douchebags on Reality TV 1.
