Daniel Martin Jr., 41, called police to report vandals in his driveway, but when police arrived, they fatally shot Martin, reports News Oklahoma. “They’re still at my front door,” the decorated Army veteran told a 911 dispatcher. He also advised the dispatcher that he was holding a gun just in case the vandals broke into his home. “I’m inside with my weapon,” he said. Still, when Martin opened his door, someone yelled “gun!” and police officers Elijah Garcia and Anthony Edwards opened fire on Martin. Drugs were found in Martin’s system and police say he was hallucinating and had also fired a shot into a closet, convinced that someone was hiding inside. Police also say a gun was fired from inside the home as they approached, although it is not clear why the shot was fired. Tina Martin said her husband suffered from post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) and “had been struggling with it for some time.” Anti-depressants were also found in his system. He served in the Army from 1998 to 2004. The police have been cleared of any wrongdoing.

The “PIGS” thought she was a “prostitute.” Now, Daniele took to her facebook to tell about the incident: Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place. When the officer arrived, I was standing on the sidewalk by a tree. I was talking to my father on my cell phone. I knew that I had done nothing wrong, that I wasn’t harming anyone, so I walked away. A few minutes later, I was still talking to my dad when 2 different police officers accosted me and forced me into handcuffs. As I was sitting in the back of the police car, I remembered the countless times my father came home frustrated or humiliated by the cops when he had done nothing wrong. I felt his shame, his anger, and my own feelings of frustration for existing in a world where I have allowed myself to believe that “authority figures” could control my BEING… my ability to BE!!!!!!! I was sitting in that back of this cop car, filled with adrenaline, my wrist bleeding in pain, and it occurred to me, that even there, I STILL HAD POWER OVER MY OWN SPIRIT. Those cops could not stop me from expressing myself. They could not stop the cathartic tears and rage from flowing out of me. They could not force me to feel bad about myself. Yes, they had control over my physical body, but not my emotions. My feelings. My spirit was, and still is FREE. I will continue to look any “authority figure” in the eye without fear. NO POLICE OFFICER OR GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL IS MORE POWERFUL THAN ME. WE ARE EQUALS. I KNOW THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE FREE BECAUSE THAT IS THE NATURE OF MY SPIRIT. And moreover, I deeply enjoyed connecting with the cops who detained me. I allowed myself to be honest about my anger, frustration, and rage as tears flowed from my eyes. The tears I cry for a country that calls itself “the land of the free and the home of the brave” and yet detains people for claiming that very right. Today I exist with courage, knowing that I am blessed to have experienced what I did today. All of those feelings, no matter how uncomfortable. These feelings are what builds my internal strength, my ability to grow through WHATEVER may happen to me. That internal knowing is what guides me in this world. Not the law, not fear, not mistrust of government or cops or anything else. In this moment there is a still small voice whispering to me. It says: You are love. You are free. You are pure. Man Puts Toddler In Clothes Dryer And Turns It On A sorry excuse for a man from New Hampshire is currently in police custody after he put his girlfriend’s 2-year-old son in a clothes dryer and turned it on, giving the child severe burns all over his body via WFMY News New Hampshire man has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly placing a 2-year-old boy in a dryer and turning it on. An affidavit reveal new details about the case against 27-year-old Adam Morton of Berlin, New Hampshire. Morton was the toddler’s mother’s live-in boyfriend. According to a police affidavit, Morton admitted to investigators that he placed the 2-year-old boy in a clothes dryer in early August. The boy had second degree burns on his back, on his arms, and his feet. The toddler’s father, Michael Sousa, moved back to Bangor after the incident to take care of his youngest son and other children. Sousa described when he first saw his son’s injuries, “I couldn’t stomach it. I did have to go outside. I was a little too hurt and overwhelmed that it even happened to him that I couldn’t sit through the first dressing.” The affidavit also said Dr. Lawrence Ricci conducted a forensic examination of the boy and concluded, “there were lesions on the lower back that looked like they could have been healing burns … [and] incidentally, the two circular lesions correspond to bolts on the inside of the dryer.” Ricci also said, “the distribution of the burns indicates either that the child was moving fairly dramatically and or the dryer was moving.” Morton is facing a charge of aggravated assault and is in custody at Penobscot County Jail. W….T….F???? WTCI 12 reports: Halifax County deputies arrested a man they said tried to pass off a crushed up corner of a pop tart as cocaine. Cameron Mitchell, 30, of Rocky Mount, allegedly sold the fake crack cocaine to an undercover agent in June. Deputies arrested Mitchell on September 4th. Deputies say on June 19, during Operation Southern Summer, Mitchell was making a delivery to a convenience store in the town of Halifax when he came in contact with an undercover agent. During the conversation, Mitchell allegedly agreed to sell crack cocaine to the agent. Deputies say Mitchell went to the cab of his delivery truck and came back with what he said was crack cocaine. He allegedly sold it to the agent for $20. Agents field tested the evidence, and it was negative for the presence of cocaine. They went looking for Mitchell’s delivery truck and found it at another convenience store on Highway 561. Agents say Mitchell told them he needed the money, so he went into his truck and found the corner of a Pop-Tart, then sold it to the agent as crack cocaine. Mitchell faces charges of selling or delivering a counterfeit controlled substance and creating a counterfeit controlled substance. What was he thinking?????

Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that approximately 50 cameras were donated by two companies, Safety Visions and Digital Ally, last week. Officers had the devices on during a protest march Saturday and captured what Jackson said were high-quality images of demonstrators taunting police. Jackson said that the cameras were being assigned to the city’s police squads and each officer would get one to use. Representatives from the two companies had visited the police department earlier Saturday to train officers on how to use the cameras. “They are really enjoying them,” Jackson said. “They are trying to get used to using them.” Support for officers wearing outward-facing cameras has increased since the August 9 shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown by Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson. Last week, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., suggested that police departments should require officers to wear body cameras in order to receive federal funding. McCaskill, like other supporters of the cameras, said that footage could help determine whether an officer was being wrongfully accused of misconduct by a civilian. “Everywhere I go people now have cameras,” McCaskill said. “And police officers are now at a disadvantage, because someone can tape the last part of an encounter and not tape the first part of the encounter. And it gives the impression that the police officer has overreacted when they haven’t.” SMFH. NYPD “Hip Hop” Task Force Beefs Up Surveillance Via Page Six : The NYPD’s “Hip-Hop Squad” has a number of rappers and stars — including Drake, Chris Brown and French Montana — on a special watch list and is stepping up surveillance on their New York parties in the wake of the Suge Knight shooting in LA, we’re told. The shadowy specialist unit, known locally as the “Hip-Hop Police,” keeps a list of rappers and hip-hop stars whose shows and night club appearances are closely monitored. It also includes Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Fat Joe, Jim Jones and Lil Wayne. A source told us: “All New York club owners are required to inform the Hip-Hop Police in advance if anyone on the watch list is coming in. They want to be there to monitor the crowd and in case any trouble starts.” The insider added, “They don’t want any situations like the Suge Knight shooting. If something does go down, they want to already be on the scene.” Another source tells us the hip-hop cops are well-known in the urban music industry, and “if there is a show going on, they are there. Their job is to investigate crimes and curtail violence in the hip-hop industry. So when they find out there is a beef between rappers, they monitor it. They are plainclothes cops, they go to clubs and shows. They were at J.Lo’s show in The Bronx because French Montana and Fat Joe were coming.” The source added that the hip-hop cops are welcomed by most in the business: “Let’s say there is a show… and they know there’s a beef going on that could escalate to a fight or shooting. The police may say they need to change set times and they don’t want two artists like French Montana and Jim Jones to perform too close together. Then they’ll go and watch. They’ll go backstage.” Our spy elaborated, “It’s better to have them on hand. They’re not there to bother any of these artists, but make sure things run like they’re supposed to run.
