Chris Kattan Arrested for DUI

Chris Kattan now has something in common with Justin Bieber . Aside from each being unfunny on Saturday Night Live. The actor was arrested this morning on suspicion of DUI after his car hit another vehicle around 1 a.m. on the 101 in San Fernando Valley. According to TMZ insiders, another driver called the California Highway Patrol to report a motorist was “weaving all over the roadway at slow speeds” before Kattan reportedly swerved into a closed-off area and stuck a Department of Transportation vehicle from behind. Fortunately, there was no one inside and Kattan did not suffer any injuries. Police confirm that Kattan appeared very out of it at the scene and was booked on charges of driving while impaired, with an emphasis on prescription pills, not alcohol. Woman Gets 20 Months in Jail for Trolling Herself on Facebook

Some trolls end up under bridges, some trolls end up in jail for not covering their digital tracks. A British woman angry with her father and step-mother set up fake Facebook accounts in their names and then used the accounts to send herself abusive – and often explicit – messages. 24-year-old Michelle Chapman kept up the posts for more than a year and then reported them to the police. Authorities questioned her puzzled family and even detained her step-mother before tracing the accounts back to Chapman’s own computer. Officers report she was seeking revenge on her father for past grievances and was trying to break up his marriage. Her defense attorney argued Chapman suffers from mental health problems, but that didn’t prevent the court from sentencing her to 20 months in jail. Aunt Of Newborn Who Went Missing Identified As Kidnapper Police have identified the suspect in the recent kidnapping of a 6-day-old baby, who was thankfully found alive yesterday , as the step-sister of the child’s mother. via Fox News An hour after a woman reported her newborn son missing from a Wisconsin home, police were questioning her step-sister — found with a prosthetic pregnancy belly, baby clothes and a stroller, but no baby, according to court documents. It was more than 24 hours after Kayden Powell went missing before authorities discovered the infant, less than a week old, in a plastic storage crate outside an Iowa gas station, miraculously alive and well despite frigid temperatures. Kristen Smith of Denver had pretended to be pregnant, went to Wisconsin and stole her step-sister’s baby from his bassinet as his parents slept, court documents say. Then, as police closed in on her, she allegedly abandoned the infant, who was swaddled in blankets. Federal prosecutors in Madison charged Smith with kidnapping Friday afternoon, hours after an Iowa police chief found Kayden. The discovery of the infant shortly after 10 a.m. Friday capped a frantic search that involved police officers in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. “I had tears in my eyes,” BP station manager Jay Patel said, recalling his reaction to the police chief telling him that the infant had been found. “It’s good news, but it’s sad, too.” The baby was taken to an Iowa City hospital, where he was reunited with his parents and released Friday evening. Dylan Farrow: Woody Allen is a Liar and Child Molester, Will Not Silence Me

Just hours after Woody Allen broke his silence regarding child molestation accusations made by daughter Dylan Farrow, she’s back with a rebuttal of her own. The acclaimed film director penned an open letter to the New York Times insisting that he did not sexually assault the then-seven-year-old, as she says. He also claimed that her mother, Mia Farrow, “coached her” to say Dylan Farrow was molested by him . But in response, Dylan stands by her story. “Once again, Woody Allen is attacking me and my family in an effort to discredit and silence me, but nothing he says or writes can change the truth,” Dylan says. “For 20 years, I have never wavered in describing what he did to me. I will carry the memories of surviving these experiences for the rest of my life.” Allen’s op-ed, she says “is the latest rehash of the same legalese, distortions, and lies he has leveled at me for the past 20 years,” Farrow went on. “He insists my mother brought criminal charges – in fact, it was a pediatrician who reported the incident to the police based on my firsthand account.” “He suggests that no one complained of his misconduct prior to his assault on me.” “However, court documents show that he was in treatment for what his own therapist described as ‘inappropriate’ behavior with me from as early as 1991.” “He offers a carefully worded claim that he passed a lie detector test.” “In fact, he refused to take the test administered by the state police (he hired someone to administer his own test, which authorities refused to accept as evidence).” “With all the attempts to misrepresent the facts, it is important to be reminded of the truth contained in court documents from the only final ruling in this case.” Dylan Farrow Slams Woody Allen as Sex Abuser In a lengthy list of her own, Farrow offered a step-by-step response to what happened in 1992, when she says a court denied Allen all access to her and: “Debunked the ‘experts’ my father claims exonerated him, calling them ‘colored by their loyalty to Mr. Allen’, and criticizing the author of their report.” “Included testimony from babysitters who witnessed inappropriate sexual behavior by my father toward me.” “Found that there is no credible evidence to support Mr. Allen’s contention that Ms. Farrow coached Dylan or that Ms. Farrow acted upon a desire for revenge.” “Concluded that the evidence proves that Mr. Allen’s behavior toward Dylan was grossly inappropriate and that measures must be taken to protect her.” Finally, prosecutors “found ‘probable cause’ to prosecute, but made the decision not to in an effort to protect ‘the child victim,’ given my fragile state.” Farrow is not letting Allen’s rebuttal affect her, saying, “Woody Allen has an arsenal of lawyers and publicists but the one thing he does not have on his side is the truth.” “From the bottom of my heart, I will be forever grateful for the outpouring of support I have received from survivors and countless others,” she writes. “If speaking out about my experience can help others stand up to their tormentors, it will be worth the pain and suffering my father continues to inflict on me.” “I hope this is the end of his vicious attacks and of the media campaign by his lawyers and publicists, as he’s promised. According to Sun Sentinel: A Pembroke Pines police officer who responded to a jewelry store break-in is accused of stealing a pricey watch that burglars left behind, his agency said. Two surveillance cameras were recording when road patrol officer Kevin Burgs picked up a men’s $795 Movado watch from the floor of a Jared’s store, put it into the pocket of his shorts and failed to pay for it, a complaint affidavit states. Burgs, 36, who has a nine-year career with the agency, was on duty when he was arrested at police headquarters and taken to jail early Thursday. The Movado watch was retrieved from Burgs’ patrol car and placed into evidence, police said. “Public trust is vital to our partnership with the community,” Pembroke Pines Police said in a statement. “It is important to note that we held this officer accountable for his actions and charged him appropriately.” Burgs, freed from jail on a $1,000 bond Thursday, could not be reached for comment. Burgs’ lawyer, Tony J. Alfero, said he could not discuss his client’s arrest until he has more information about the allegation. Pembroke Pines Police promised transparency in the investigation of one of its own. “This one act is not representative of the rest of our police department,” the agency said. “We are extremely proud of our employees and thankful for their constant dedication and hard work.” SMH. A Million Ways to Die in the West Trailer: Living Up to its Morbid Billing!

The red band trailer for Seth MacFarlane’s absurdist comedy-western A Million Ways to Die in the West has arrived, and it’s as zany as you think it is. The film, as advertised, show us plenty of ways to meet an early demise, be it getting pummeled by a block of ice, shot in a duel, impaled by a bull, OD’ing, etc. Check it out below, but be forewarned … it’s from Seth MacFarlane! Like the Shakira-Rihanna music video from earlier, it’s NSFW to put it mildly: A Million Ways to Die in the West Trailer MacFarlane directed, produced, co-wrote and stars in the film as a cowardly sheep farmer who backs out of a gunfight and loses his lady love (Amanda Seyfried). However, he falls for a new love interest (Charlize Theron) who helps him find courage but brings baggage in the form of an outlaw husband (Liam Neeson). For those who find MacFarlane’s comedy genius, A Million Ways to Die is sure to be a crowd pleaser. For those who don’t care for it … well, it is what it is! Anna Gordy Gaye Dies; Singer’s Ex-Wife, Motown Founder’s Sister Was 92

Anna Gordy Gaye, Marvin Gaye’s ex-wife and the older sister of Motown founder Berry Gordy, passed away this morning in Los Angeles. She was 92. She died inside her home from natural causes, according to reports. Family members discovered that Anna had passed away around 3 a.m. Friday. Anna and Marvin Gaye got married in 1964, and she was a huge influence on his career, co-writing two hits on his classic “What’s Going On” album. Marvin Gay also said his hit song “Pride and Joy” was inspired by his courtship of Anna back in the ’60s. The couple eventually divorced in 1977. She is survived by one child, son Marvin Gaye III. Despite a marriage that fizzled out and was at times turbulent, the two remained close after they split up, and Gaye’s death in 1984 devastated Anna. When Gaye was honored with induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Gordy attended and accepted Gaye’s induction. Anna Gordy made her last appearance with her famous brother Berry, who founded Motown Records, at a red carpet event where Berry was honored, in 2008.

Police Officer Investigated For Trying to Snap Justin Bieber Jailhouse Pic

A South Florida officer is under investigation after attempting to take a photo of Justin Bieber while the star was in custody on DUI and other charges. Miami Beach police Sgt. Bobby Hernandez confirmed Friday that a female officer is being investigated for possible conduct unbecoming an officer. Punishments can range from a verbal reprimand to termination. The name of the officer trying to sneak a Justin Bieber photo has not been revealed. Bieber was arrested January 23 during what cops describe as an illegal street drag race, though whether he was actually drug racing is debatable. In addition to driving under the influence, the troubled 19-year-old pop singer was charged with resisting arrest and having an invalid driver’s license. Bieber, who was in a car with Chantel Jeffries , pleaded not guilty to all charges. Police say the officer attempted to photograph him while he was in a temporary holding cell, and a higher-ranking officer intervened to stop the attempt. This is effed up! Cops can’t be just taking scissors to the weave like that, can they? According to WPTV reports : A police officer in Michigan put a young mother into a restraining chair and hacked off her hair weave. 7 Action News Investigator had exclusive video of the officer shoving Charda Gregory, restraining her, and then using scissors to cut out the artificial hair that was sewn into a braid on Gregory’s scalp. “I was confused. I didn’t know what happened and what was going on,” said Gregory. Warren police officials say they do ask prisoners to remove clipped-in long hair extensions, so they can’t be used as a weapon or to commit suicide. But a weave is different, and Police Commissioner Jere Green says what Officer Bernadette Najor did was not a proper use of force. “There’s a real simple thing: it’s called right and wrong. And to me this is something that I won’t tolerate, I don’t think the citizens of Warren will tolerate it,” said Green. Do you think the cop should be punished? What should be done?

Super Bowl Prostitution Ring Busted in New York (Sorry Seattle and Denver Fans)

Police have arrested 18 operators of a high-end drug and prostitution ring allegedly banking on Super Bowl week to deliver “party packs” of cocaine and hookers. Sorry, Seattle and Denver fans looking to score either/or in NYC. Super Bowl Sex Ring Busted By NYPD A nearly year-long undercover investigation discovered that in addition to selling the “party packs,” the ring allegedly laundered the money illegally. Proceeds were funnelled through front businesses that included a clothing wholesaler, a wig wholesaler, a limousine service and a beauty supply company. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said the ring targeted wealthy customers in New York for large events, which the Super Bowl clearly is. Fans can still build Legos for oral relief from Christy Mack , at least. Last week, a text message was blasted to frequent customers of the “organization” noting that “new sexy & beautiful girls R in town waiting for u.” The enterprise also ran numerous ads online and on public access TV. Intercepted conversations involving the ring revealed that it used various code names for cocaine, including “party,” “jewelry,” “powder,” “maek” and “Soojaebi.” The latter is a Korean noodle and vegetable soup. Nice touch. The prostitutes delivered the cocaine to customers in what was referred to as a “party pack.” The ring allegedly generated millions of dollars in illegal proceeds and planned to target high-end clientele coming to the New York area for the Super Bowl. The 11-month investigation involved undercover investigators, physical and electronic surveillance and reviews of business records, local officials said. The attorney general’s Organized Crime Task Force found that the criminal enterprise spanned Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, Queens and several states. Customers were charged for sex and drugs as a package deal, “sometimes billing for cocaine in an equivalent number of ‘hours’ of prostitution.” The ring commonly supplied customers with large quantities of drugs to get them impaired, police said. Then the room would be flooded with additional prostitutes. The customer’s credit cards would be charged, at times upward of $10,000 for one night for the fun (if you can call it that) that went down in there. Through front businesses, the ring would charge credit cards for goods and services not actually provided in order to hide the purchases of cocaine and sex. Those charged with various felony and misdemeanor counts: Tony Yoo, 34; Jopseh Landrum, 32; Hyun Ok Yoon, 41; Young Ok, 38; Kyung Chun Min, 33; Sun Lee Ahn, 56; Young Mi Lee, 40; Ji Young Moon, 40; Janice Lee, 35; Hee Jung Chern, 42; Haiming Quan, 41; Kyong Bin Cho, 44; Jung Hee Jang, 43; In Suk Cho, 49; Ji Young Lee, 34; Hada Jang, 26; Nina Kim, 31; Hajoung Heath, 40.
