Indy 500 2010: Danica Patrick Gets Boos

As the Indy 500 race will take place in less than an hour from now, everyone is surely very excited who’s going to win. Same crowd would also be looking forward what will happen to Auto Racer Danica Patrick race today. They let out their boos to the racer during her speech to the audience after the qualifying race. She finished 23rd in the qualifying and has been blaming everything to her car. She blamed the problem on an “absolutely awful” race car and said “it’s not my fault.” As for her racing record, she can’t boast quite anything as she only won once in all her 86 races. The crowd didn’t like what she said thus letting out their boos to her. For fans it’s a cardinal sin for drivers to badmouth their crews. Patrick was stunned about what happened. “I’ve had boos over the years but not like this,” Patrick said. “It doesn’t make me feel good, no.” she added. Patrick said she never meant to criticize her team, Andretti Autosport, and made that clear to each crew member afterward. Let’s all find how her race will be. Minutes from now, the race will be starting. The green flag will be down at exactly 12:00 pm (ET). Happy watching everyone! Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are engaged and they are expecting a baby. Reps of the couple confirmed that the musicians are engaged to be married in a private ceremony later this year. When the couple attended Thursday night’s Black Ball, which benefits Key’s Keep a Child Alive charity, the couple made the announcement. They were together since fall of 2008. Swizz Beatz is a rapper and has produced music for singer Alicia Keys; and also worked with artists such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. The “Break the Ice” super star has been reportedly obsessed with cryogenic freezing technology, and wanted her body to be preserved in liquid nitrogen after her death. According a source who is said to be Britney’s friend, the pop star gets these obsessions lately. It started when someone told her about Walt Disney being preserved by cryogenics which will be revived in the future. But when she knew about the idea of being brought back to life in years to come with the help of this technology, she is willing to be frozen after her death. Since I speak Spanish and I know that a lot of people don't and would like to find out what is being said in forums in Mexico, I decided to take a look…just out of curiosity. To be honest, I was really surprised at the results. I will share the comments in the Original Spanish (so no one accuses me of inventing or mistranslating the posts for political reasons) and a link to the article. Also, I've pretty much gone straight down the list of comments from top to bottom. I didn't cherry pick, although I ignored two because they were reponses to other posters and were not really relevant. I started at an article titled “14 states prepare racial laws like Arizona”. You'll note immediately the political misrepresentation in the title, which concerned me. The article itself didn't mention race after except in the title. Misleading much? As you read this, keep in mind my previous post in which I spoke about the Mexican sense of pride.
