Jimmy Kimmel took to the public for another classic segment in which he asked people for their views on Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act. It turns out, at least based on this small sample size, that plenty of people in America absolutely hate Obamacare, but love the Affordable Care Act. Which is interesting, considering they are the exact. Same. Thing. Jimmy Kimmel – Obamacare vs. Affordable Care Act Obamacare, of course, is just a nickname – originally used pejoratively by opponents but later embraced by Obama himself – for the landmark legislation. What Kimmel found is that many provisions of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (its full name) are viewed positively by the public. Obamacare, though? Don’t even get them started on that debacle. It may even be worth shutting down the federal government over.

The U.S. government has been shutdown , as Congress could not reach a funding agreement last night and over 800,000 workers stayed home today as a result, forced into furloughs by the maneuver. Moreover, countless parks and tourist attractions around the nation have been closed, costing states millions of dollars and citizens hours of enjoyment. We’re not saying we’re in favor of the situation, which is sadly symbolic of the utter gridlock in Washington these days, but due to the following video… let’s just say we mind it a lot less. Veteran British journalist has passed away at the age of 74, according to the BBC. Frost died of a suspected heart attack on Saturday night aboard the Queen Elizabeth cruise ship, where he was due to give a speech, his family said. Frost’s career in TV news and entertainment spanned almost half a century. Known both for an amiable personality and incisive sit-downs with prominent figures, he won fame around the world for his interviews with Richard Nixon. He was the only person to have interviewed all six British prime ministers serving between 1964-2007 and the seven U.S. presidents from 1969-2008. He also interviewed Orson Welles, Muhammad Ali and Clint Eastwood. Prime Minister David Cameron praised David Frost for being an “extraordinary man with charm, wit, talent, intelligence and warmth in equal measure.” “The Richard Nixon interviews were among the great broadcast moments, but there were many other brilliant interviews,” Cameron said. “He could be, and certainly was with me, both a friend and a fearsome interviewer.” Frost began television hosting while still a student at Cambridge University. He went on to host the BBC’s satirical news show The Week That Was in the early 1960s, and, later, The Frost Report and Breakfast with Frost .
