We’ve profiled a LOT of “ain’t isht” folks, but this one takes the cake! Nouel Alba Arrested For Newtown Shooting Money Scam Via Huffington Post : A New York City woman has been arrested by federal authorities who say she tried to scam donors by posing as a relative of one of the children killed at a Connecticut elementary school. Thirty-seven-year-old Nouel Alba was arrested Thursday and charged with lying to FBI agents. Federal prosecutors say she used her Facebook account, telephone calls and text messages to seek donations for what she called a “funeral fund.” Authorities say Alba denied seeking the donations when she was contacted by FBI agents investigating charity scams related to the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. A gunman killed 20 children and six adults there on Dec. 14. Alba, of the Bronx, appeared Thursday in federal court in Hartford and was released on $50,000 bond. ‘The Game Is Rigged’: Matt Damon Puts POTUS On Blast Again!!

He’s promoting his new flick and wasn’t holdin’ back on his frustrations with politics. According to the Daily Mail , Matt says he lost hope that the movie would even have some damn impact in Washington: ‘We’re at a point where politicians don’t really get any benefit from engaging with long-term issues,’ he said, according to Politico. ‘Instead, it’s all about the next election cycle. Those guys in the House don’t do anything now but run for office. So unless they can find some little thing that zips them up a couple of points in the polls, they’re not interested.’ Damon’s soured attitude toward the American political system has been a couple years in the making. He made headlines last year when he famously criticized Obama’s first term, even though Damon is a Democrat and supported Obama in 2008. ‘I’ve talked to a lot of people who worked for Obama at the grassroots level. One of them said to me, “Never again. I will never be fooled again by a politician,”‘ Damon said in 2011. ‘You know, a one-term president with some balls who actually got stuff done would have been, in the long run of the country, much better.’ But Damon told Playboy that he voted for Obama in November, despite his criticisms of the president. ‘I assume there will be some Supreme Court appointments in this next term; that alone was reason to vote for him,’ he said. Damon was also asked about Clint Eastwood’s performance at the Republican National Convention. ‘I heard the backlash, but I never saw the whole thing because I just didn’t want to see my friend … you know,’ he said. ‘Look, his knowledge of filmmaking is so vast and deep that he can wing it beautifully on the set. What he did at the RNC was an unrehearsed bit he decided to do at the last minute. You can’t go onstage and do 12 minutes of stand-up completely unrehearsed. But I agree with what Bill Maher said — Clint killed it at the convention for 12 minutes, and the audience loved him. I wouldn’t do that unless I spent a month rehearsing.’ Asked what politics were behind his new movie, he said, ‘We went to the studio saying, “Who f**king wants to go see an anti-fracking movie?” and were all in agreement. When we were working on the script, it was about wind farms, but we changed it to fracking — a good issue because the stakes are so high. That sh*t is real. They’re debating about letting it happen in New York now. To us, the movie was really about American identity. We loved the characters because they felt like real people making the kinds of compromises you have to just to live your life.’ Do you think Washington can’t be changed?? Images via tumblr/facebook

Race Matters: For The First Time In History…Study Shows That Blacks Voted At A Higher Rate Than Eligible White Voters

We gon’ make it Study Show Black Voter Turnout Higher Than White In 2012 Election Via MSNBC It looks like the GOP’s plan to suppress liberal-skewed voters backfired. The 2012 presidential election may have been the first time blacks voted at a higher rate than whites, according to a new study by the Pew Research Center—despite several Republican-controlled state legislatures passing new voter identification laws. African-Americans made up 12% of the eligible electorate this year, yet they accounted for 13% of total votes cast. This is the second presidential election in a row in which black voters “over-performed” (they did so in 2008 by the same proportion). Whites’ turnout rate—votes cast as a share of eligible voters—declined in both 2012 and 2008, though whites’ share of the eligible electorate is also shrinking. Whereas other minority groups have seen increased electoral clout largely because of population growth, blacks’ growing share of the vote in recent presidential elections is due to mounting turnout rates. More hispanics and Asian-Americans voted in 2012 than ever before, but their turnout rates continue to lag behind that of the general public. That’s amazing considering the trouble that some GOP’ers went through to ensure that “we” wouldn’t show up in November. In the year leading up to the election, many GOP-led state governments attempted to pass bills aimed at requiring photo identification at the polls, restricting early voting, and curtailing voter registration efforts. Many black community leaders argued such voter suppression would disproportionately disenfranchise poor, minority, and elderly voters. While some Republicans claimed the measures were necessary to prevent voter fraud, others outwardly admitted to passing voter restrictions in hopes of hurting Democratic candidates. There will be no firm verdict until the U.S. Census Bureau publishes its post-election survey on voter turnout next spring, but Pew’s circumstantial evidence shows that attempts at voter suppression failed to keep blacks from the polls—and may have even inspired progressive voters to turn out in higher numbers. This is very promising news for the future of the Black voice in politics, but let’s not let the excitement and participation die with Barry O’s re-election. Let’s continue to vote and be involved in the process in future elections as well! Image via AP

Dancing With the Stars Results: A Semifinal Shocker?

The tension ran high on this evening’s Dancing With the Stars results show. Based on the scores from the semifinal round , any of the five remaining All-Stars could make a strong case for advancing … but were also at risk for going home. It’s DWTS , after all. You’re always in jeopardy until you learn you’re not. So which two were cut, and which three advanced? The two ousted dancers on Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars results show are pictured above. They are … Apolo Ohno and Emmitt Smith! It’s an all-female final! At the very last minute, it was also revealed that Kelly Monaco and partner Val Chmerkovskiy will also be performing in next week’s finale, outlasting Emmitt. “After tonight, this show has lost a good chunk of charisma,” co-host Tom Bergeron candidly remarked after the results were revealed, and rightly so. Just the same, Apolo and Emmitt were gracious in defeat, and Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson and Kelly Monaco are all captivating in their own right. What do you think? Who will win? Comment and vote in our polls: Do you agree with tonight’s Dancing With the Stars results?   Yes, the voters got it right! No, Emmitt was robbed! No, Apolo was robbed! No, they were both robbed! Out Of Pocket: Robney Tells Donors ‘Barack Only Won With ‘Gifts’ To Blacks, Hispanics, And Young Voters’!!!

Wow! This guy has no grasp of reality for the rest of us 47% folks . Mittens just got caught again talking that same isht he was spittin’ earlier this year when he told TOP donors that POTUS won his re-election through the “gifts” he was already giving blacks, Hispanics, and the youth. According to The Huffington Post , Romney’s finance team organized the call to donors: “The president’s campaign, if you will, focused on giving targeted groups a big gift,” Romney said in a call to donors on Wednesday. “He made a big effort on small things.” Romney said his campaign, in contrast, had been about “big issues for the whole country.” He said he faced problems as a candidate because he was “getting beat up” by the Obama campaign and that the debates allowed him to come back. In the call, Romney didn’t acknowledge any major missteps, such as his “47 percent” remarks widely viewed as denigrating nearly half of Americans, his lack of support for the auto bailout, his call for illegal immigrants to “self-deport,” or his change in position on abortion, gun control and other issues. He also didn’t address the success or failure of the campaign’s strategy of focusing on the economy in the face of some improvement in employment and economic growth during the months leading up to Election Day. Obama won the popular vote by about 3.5 million votes, or 3 percent, and won the Electoral College by a wide margin, 332-206 electoral votes. Exit polls conducted for The Associated Press and television networks showed that Obama led Romney by 11 percentage points among women and won better than 7 of 10 Hispanic voters and more than 9 of 10 black voters. Romney called his loss to Obama a disappointing result that he and his team had not expected, but he said he believed his team had run a superb campaign. He said he was trying to turn his thoughts to the future, “but, frankly, we’re still so troubled by the past, it’s hard to put together our plans for the future.” Among the “gifts” Romney cited were free health care “in perpetuity,” which he said was highly motivational to black and Hispanic voters as well as for voters making $25,000 to $35,000 a year. Romney also said the administration’s promise to offer what he called “amnesty” to the children of illegal immigrants – what he termed “the so-called DREAM Act kids” – helped send Hispanics to the polls for Obama. Young voters, Romney said, were motivated by the administration’s plan for partial forgiveness of college loan interest and being able to remain on their parents’ health insurance plans. Young women had an additional incentive to vote for Obama because of free contraception coverage under the president’s health care plan, he said. “I’m very sorry that we didn’t win,” he told donors. “I know that you expected to win. We expected to win. We were disappointed; we hadn’t anticipated it.” Romney said he and his team were discussing how his donor group could remain connected and have an influence on the direction of the Republican Party and even the selection of a future nominee – “which, by the way, will not be me.” We’re still looking for that ‘free stuff’ Mittens keeps talking about. We’ll let you know when we find it! Images via tumblr
