Dedicated: Black Mom IN LABOR Stops To Vote On Her Way To The Hospital!!!

So whatever excuse you had for not voting today looks pretty bad right now! Driving her own dayum self to the hospital, Galicia Malone was determined to make sure she voted for the first time…even if her contractions were only FIVE minutes apart! According to Yahoo : Galicia Malone’s contractions were five minutes apart when she arrived at her polling place in Cook County, Illinois, this morning, but that didn’t stop her from studying the ballot carefully and making sure her vote counted. “I was just trying to read and breathe, read and breathe,” the 21-year-old mom-to-be told WBBM Newsradio. “That’s what I kept telling myself, ‘Read and breathe, read and breathe’.” Pregnant with her first child, Malone went into labor four days early. Her water had already broken when she arrived at the aptly named New Life Celebration Church near Chicago around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. But even hard labor wasn’t enough to stop her from voting in her first presidential election. “I never voted before so this made a major difference in my life,” she told WBBM Newsradio. “And I wanted this to be a stepping-stone for my daughter.” She went into labor around 3 a.m., she said, but refused to go to the hospital until after the polls opened. As she left her polling place, she was holding her lower back and smiling widely. She drove herself to South Suburban Hospital. “The pains are pretty steady, but my doctor says to think of it as getting ready to give life,” she told My Fox Chicago. “This is my first baby, a girl, and I wanted to make a good impression. I want to have a story to tell her.” Malone, who lives in the Chicago suburb of Dalton, said that even though she is against abortion, she believes that women have the right to make their own health-related decisions, so she cast her vote this morning for President Barack Obama. “I just agree with more of his policies than with Romney’s,” she said. “I grew up on Sesame Street and PBS,” she added. “He wants to cut that. What will my daughter grow up on?” God bless her and the new life she’s bringing into this world. Images via facebook

Gary Johnson: Obama Will Win Reelection

Libertarian Party presidential candidate Gary Johnson says he thinks President Barack Obama will defeat Mitt Romney to win a second term this evening. “I think Obama’s going to win, that’s what I think,” Johnson said. As for his own support, the former New Mexico Governor said: “[My vote is] really spread out … I don’t think there’s any state I’m going to do better in than another.” Johnson, who’s on the ballot in 48 states and D.C., hovers in the low single digits in the polls. Still, he says he has no regrets at how things played out. “There’s nothing,” Johnson said. “I would ask that everybody look at it and maybe recognize that this is phenomenal that we spent $2 million and may get 5 percent.” “Maybe it doesn’t turn out that way at all – but we spent $2 million bucks and here we are playing in a game that by all accounts we should not be playing in.” A CNN Ohio poll released Friday had President Obama, a Democrat, at 47 percent, Republican nominee Romney at 44 percent and Gary Johnson at 5 percent. It doesn’t make much of a difference which of the major-party candidates wins, Johnson said, citing a list of similarities he sees between Obama and Romney’s policies. Would you vote for a third-party candidate?   Yes, the two-party system sucks! Maybe someday, but I actually like Obama/Romney No! Way to throw your vote away! Don’t Believe The Hype!! Facebook Message Telling Voters Not To Select ‘All Dems’ Button Is Pure Bull!

You’ve probably already seen the ‘urgent’ message circulating in your facebook news feed, but reps from the NAACP are saying this isht just isn’t true and is just another tactic being used to confuse voters ! According to The Root : A widely circulated foreboding message purporting to warn supporters of President Obama of an electronic voting “trick” that could exclude their vote for the president if they select only the “All Democrats” option has been debunked by the South Carolina branch of the NAACP. Still, it continues to make the rounds on Facebook and email, spreading confusion that some worry could lead voters in states that allow straight-ticket voting to remove their vote for the office of the president. “PLEASE PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO THIS! In the event that you are planning to vote democrat on Nov. 6, when you go into the voting booths, DO NOT SELECT THE BUTTON “all democrats” first because Barack Obama will be excluded from the vote,” a screenshot of a Facebook status attached to one email reads. It goes on to instruct voters to select “Barack Obama” first and then “all democrats” and ends with “People are not being told this information because they are trying every trick in the book.” Not true, says the South Carolina State Conference of the NAACP. The organization has issued a warning to voters: “If a South Carolina voter chooses the straight party option first on our voting machines, the selection box for all candidates of the intended political party will automatically be checked, including the presidential candidate.” The main concern raised by the message is that voters confused by the instructions may touch their presidential selection a second time, which would actually remove their vote for that office, the NAACP told WCBD-TV Charleston in October. Thus, the organization recommends that each voter review all of his or her selections made on the voting machine before pressing the final button to confirm the ballot and asks that anyone who has forwarded the misleading message to others follow up with a message of caution about the advice. South Carolina NAACP President Lonnie Randolph says that he’s not surprised that the misleading information seems to targets the types of ballots used by South Carolina voters. He attributes the effort to a long history of hostility toward African-American political power in his own state that dates back to Reconstruction. He doesn’t know who’s behind it, but he believes that it has already caused confusion, particularly among the state’s more vulnerable citizens. “That’s why we had a press conference. So many people in South Carolina already feel threatened. We have a lot of first-time voters in this election, and the machines are not the simplest thing to deal with. Folks will need some assistance, particularly elderly people,” he said. If this is, in fact, a hoax meant to confuse voters or suppress the votes of Democrats, it’s unfortunately nothing new. Just last month, Think Progress warned of misinformation campaigns, including those telling voters that they can vote by phone, that they are at risk of being purged from the rolls, that they must show identification to vote and more. Randolph told The Root that South Carolina has seen other forms of intimidation and misleading information this election cycle, including employers threatening their employees with layoffs, reduced house, and loss of health insurance if Mitt Romney is not elected, as well as recent e-mails attempting to convince voters that, as result of Hurricane Sandy, the election date has been moved. Okay folks…spread the word and make sure you get your azzes in to the polls tomorrow! This isht is REAL! Images via facebook/WENN

Hate it Or Love It? Mormons Plan Fast For Robneys Debate Performance!!!

What would you do? Trailing in the polls, Money Mitt’s devotees have decided that a little divine intervention is what they need for their candidate. We all know that it’s not uncommon for religious groups to pray people up in times of need, and Mitt’s community has decided to fast this Sunday…so the strugglin’ candidate can keep up with Barack’s eloquence in the upcoming debates. According to The Huffington Post… They’ve been circulating a request via email that sympathetic Latter-day Saints join them in forgoing food and water on Sunday in a collective effort to support the candidate. “I am asking you to join me and my family … by fasting and praying for Mitt Romney that he will be blessed in the debates, which will be held Oct. 3rd,” says an email posted early Wednesday (Sept. 26) by The Student Review, an off-campus paper for Brigham Young University students. “I know that seems like such a small thing but I believe ‘from small things, great things can come about.’ “ The email went on: “I know that fasting and praying brings about miracles.” Others in the email chain have suggested putting Romney’s name on the “temple prayer roll,” which is typically reserved for those who are sick. McKay Coppins, a political reporter for BuzzFeed, also reported the fasting effort, saying that “sources who have received it said it has reached Latter-day Saints in Utah, California, Nevada and Colorado at least.” Maybe they should fast until the votes are in the morning of November 7th?
