Kris Humphries Re-Signs with Brooklyn Nets

His personal life may be a ridiculous mess, but Kris Humphries just got his professional world in order: ESPN reports that the ex-husband of Kim Kardashian has signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets. The 27-year-old power forward averaged career-highs of 13.8 points and 11.0 rebounds per game with that club last season. Does the rich new deal mean Humphries will finally relent in his divorce proceedings, signing his name on the dotted line and legally ending his relationship with Kardashian? It doesn’t seem likely. In the latest development surrounding that bizarre case, Myla Sinanaj has addressed Kim and told her to keep her out of the former couple’s beef. One thing is certain: Humphries will be crashing the boards in Brooklyn, and receiving many more boos on the road, throughout 2012-2013.

Billy the Exterminator Arrested For Drug Possession

William “Billy” Bretherton, star of the A&E reality TV show Billy the Exterminator, was arrested in Louisiana for drug possession, according to reports. Police issued a warrant last week for Bretherton and his wife. His drug of choice was bath salts . Just kidding, but not too far off. Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale says authorities found items that tested positive for a “designer” or synthetic type of marijuana, plus “a device commonly used to smoke narcotics.” You’ll have to use your imagination on that one. Another interesting note in the case: Natale said police were called on April 28 to a Bossier City hotel following a 911 hang-up call from that room. A great way to get arrested: Start to call 911 on yourself while in the midst of some illegal activity, then sketchily hang up. It works almost every time. The reality show star and his wife surrendered to the police on Friday and were eventually released later that day after posting a $6,000 bond each. A&E reps were not available for comment.

Myla Sinanaj: Dating Kris Humphries for Some Reason!

It looks like Kim Kardashian is not the only one to somehow pick up the pieces from her 72-day marriage and move on. Despite a denial from Kris Humphries himself – after photos leaked of him and a woman on a beach in Miami and he claimed she was someone he only met that day – TMZ confirms the power forward DOES have a new girlfriend . Her name is Myla Sinanaj . Sinanaj and Humphries have reportedly been dating since January, with the latter providing courtside seats for his new woman and her family to watch him play basketball. Sources say she the pair met at the fancy New York City hotel where Sinanaj works. We can only assume this hotel does not ever get Internet access. Or newspaper delivery. Or cable. Or any medium that would identity Humphries as the immature bonehead he has proven himself to be. No comment so far from anyone in either side of the couple’s camp.

Congrats !!! Congratulations are in order for Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul and his wife Jada. The happy couple, who were married last fall in a fairytale ceremony, are expecting their second child together, ESSENCE.com has learned exclusively. “Chris, Lil’ Chris and I are excited about the new addition to our family that is coming this summer,” confirmed Jada. “Lil’ Chris is already kissing my stomach and talking to his new sister.” The happy couple met and fell in love in college at Wake Forest University where he quickly became a breakout star. Did you hear that Kris Humphries is single? It’s true. He split from some woman named Kim Kardashian after just 72 days of marriage. Wait… what? It was 72 days?!? How is that possible?!? Anyway. The point remains the same: Humphries is a bachelor once again and has finally redecorated his house to reflect that fact. “Remodeling my place felt great,” the Nets power forward tells the latest issue of Life & Style . “It was the perfect way to kick off the season and have a fresh start.” Kris was assisted in the process by Jason Cameron and Tony Siragusa, the stars of DIY Network’s Man Caves , with the former saying Humphries desired a “cool, modern space” in his basement.

Kris Humphries Injuries Shoulder, Prognosis Troubling

Here’s some good news for Kris Humphries: the reality star/power forward won’t be getting booed in Boston tomorrow night. The bruising Nets starter sat out yesterday’s game against the Nets due to a sore shoulder, and coach Avery Johnson says an MRI is scheduled for Kim Kardashian’s ex, who won’t even accompany the team to Beantown this week. “Hopefully we’ll get some good news,” Johnson said. “It’s not looking good right now because he barely can move his shoulder, so again we’ll have to hope and pray it’s nothing serious.” Following a season-opening victory, New Jersey has dropped five straight. Humphries is averaging 12.4 points an 10 rebounds per game in the early going, hearing boos everywhere he goes on the road. Things aren’t much better in Kris’ personal life, as E! aired the Kourtney and Kim Take New York episode this week in which Humphries gets into trouble by questioning Jonathan Cheban’s sexual orientation .

Kris Humphries: The Husband from Hell?

Kim Kardashian has been receiving the brunt of criticism for her split from Kris Humphries, with over 100,000 people even signing a petition to take this waste of large breasts off the air. But the latest issue of Us Weekly quotes sources who point a finger at the bruising NBA power forward, even dubbing him the Husband from Hell. On top of clubbing throughout New York and Los Angeles – insisting on free bottle service wherever he went – Humphries simply acted like a jerk for most of the 72 days, an insider claims : “He belittled her in front of people. He’d call her stupid. It was truly sickening.” This mole remembers at least one incident where Kris referred to Kim as a “fat ass” and added that he resents her fame and fortune: “He tried to control Kim by bringing her down… He would say truly terrible things. One time, he said she had no talent and her fame wouldn’t last.” Well, one of those points is true. We’re praying the other soon comes to fruition, as well.

Kris Humphries Hires Divorce Attorney

Kris Humphries is preparing for battle. The power forward, who reportedly had been refusing to go through with his divorce from Kim Kardashian, has now hired Lee Hutton, a Minnesota-based attorney who represents a number of pro athletes. But where is Humphries? “He doesn’t want a war. He’s lying low,” a source tells E! News about the free agent, who is still without a job, as the NBA lockout extends into Thanksgiving. A war, meanwhile, is evidently taking place within the Kardashian household. A new report cites major tension between Kim and her siblings , as they are sick of her fake, attention-starved ways. Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie was quick to come to Christina Aguilera’s defense after she botched the national anthem yesterday before the Super Bowl. On the Dan Patrick Show this morning, Fergie admitted the Black Eyed Peas halftime show effort was also sub-par, then defended the embattled Aguilera. Claiming she’s “human” and people make mistakes, especially given this once in a lifetime opportunity, she chalked the Star Spangled Bungle up to nerves. Kim Kardashian starred in her biggest national commercial last night, during Super Bowl XLV no less. But the evening prior to the game was just as exciting for this professional celebrity, if her relationship with Kris Humphries is to be believed as anything more than a PR stunt. Kim dined with the Nets power forward and his family at STK in New York City, helping to celebrate Humphries’ 26th birthday. She even picked up the $900 for the meal and left a generous tip, witnesses say. “Yummy dinner with yummy people!” Kim Tweeted on Saturday night. Sources claim the couple exited the restaurant and ran into a homeless man looking for a handout from Humphries. But he had to let the guy down, he said, because “the lady paid for dinner, I don’t even have a wallet.”
