Token Watch: Trump Says Lunch With Kanye West Will Help Get Him Black Male Voters

See more here:

Donald Trump is scheduled to have lunch with Kanye West today (Oct. 11), and many critics of the move dismiss it as a blatant photo op for a President who really doesn’t care what his guest will have to say. Well actually, the Russian approved POTUS did say meeting with Yeezy will help him score African-American male votes.  Yeah, he said it. La Naranja called into Fox & Friends last night, and since we couldn’t be bothered to listen to the sure to be fact checked lies, we’ll let TMZ report: Trump was on “Fox & Friends” Thursday AM and gushed about his African-American poll numbers, especially with guys, after Kanye doubled down on his support for the Prez. He repeated his claim that his poll numbers with African-American men soared when Kanye told the world — MAGA. The President marveled at the power of Kanye West. It’s pretty ironic … the 2 celebs who have really stood out in terms of trying to influence voters in various ways are Kanye and Taylor Swift. They’re on opposite sides of the spectrum, but they both appear impactful. Here’s the thing. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out … a lunch with Kanye when the critical midterm elections are just a few weeks away may be more important to Trump than prison reform. That doesn’t mean Kanye has no shot at getting in his ear about prison reform and other issues, but get real … the main course of this lunch is the midterms. Also worth noting, that polling bump Trump refers to was barely negligible  when taken in proper context. Although there are way too many shuffle foot Black men (and women) rocking with Trump for our tastes, the majority of the demo ain’t falling for the racist and sexist antics of the con man squatting in the White House. Too bad Kanye West is looking like he’ll be one of the last people to spot the jig. Listen to Cheeto’s commentary below. — Photo: WENN.com

Disney Slammed Because Of Its ‘Eurocentric’ Version Of Princess Tiana

P rincess Tiana first made her appearance on film in 2009’s “The Princess and The Frog.” The animated character is back on screen for “Wreck It Ralph 2” and she looks distinctly different. Some have said Disney’s first Black princess looks white, which has caused backlash against the media giant. SEE ALSO: Texas Cop Shoots Unarmed Black Man For Entering His Own Truck C olor of Change slammed Disney in a petition  which read , “Princess Tiana looks nothing like her original character. She is shown here with Eurocentric features; a slimmer nose, loose curly hair and a significantly lighter skin tone than her previous depictions. This is unacceptable. Yet again, Disney made the choice to whitewash an image that represents us. They’ve totally removed and replaced Princess Tiana’s full lips, dark skin and kinky hair. By doing so, they are showing us that they don’t care about reflecting the diversity of the Black community. ” There was also tons of backlash on social media, see below: Princess Tiana is beautifully dark-skinned and she ain't Princess Tiana if she looks like somebody else. — Monecque Patterson (@momoflower34) September 20, 2018 Disney really tried to give us a light skinned, slim nosed Princess Tiana with 3A hair and all Black Twitter said was “I THINK THE FUCK NOT”. Now they’re reanimating her to bring her dark skin back and fixing her features. pic.twitter.com/GaSuKhgZzq — E-Money (@imanimlewis) September 21, 2018 I just got mad all over again that princess Tiana was a frog the whole damn movie — café con leche (@Cuff_this) September 22, 2018 And plus you ruled this as unimportant when it isn’t . White washing isn’t cool. There are a lot of black girls that look up to princess Tiana them changing here to look mixed was just wrong. Especially when black women/ girls have a lack of representative in the media. — (@dalu_xo) September 22, 2018 However, now Disney has announced they will redraw Princess Tiana. Color of Change reports, “The creation of Princess Tiana, Disney first Black princess marked a defining moment for how Black women and girls are presented in media, specifically in animated movies. After conversations with  Walt Disney Animation Studios , we’re glad they have committed to restoring Tiana to her original form for ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ to ensure authenticity.” See below: Although this might be a small win for some, it is hard to deny the power of representation for many Black and brown children. This is a perfect example of social media getting it right. Big Brother Recap: The Surprise Eviction Divides the House

It was the end of the line for one houseguest on Wednesday’s special eviction episode of Big Brother.  The host once again introduced herself as “Julie Chen Moonves,” meaning she’s brushing off all of the controversy she stirred up on Thursday night.  When the episode kicked off, the houseguests looked genuinely blindsided when they were told eviction night was coming one night early.  “One should always expect the unexpected,” said Julie, who was clearly surprised the houseguests were not shocked.  We then got to learn about what happened over the past few days, and Sam was pissed to be put on the block for the fourth time.  “These people don’t want to hurt me,” she says. “They just want the money.” While that made sense, Sam was adamant she wanted to win the “motherf—— veto.” Sam felt safe … for now.  In her mind, Tyler was going to keep her safe until final two, so she felt like JC would be the one heading out the door during the surprise episode.  Kaycee, Angela, and Tyler watched JC from the HOH room, and they could see that he was visibly defeated.  He was alone following Brett’s eviction and feels like he has no fight left in him.  JC used this to his advantage when he chatted with Tyler about being on the block.  “I need to remind you I’m your friend, not your pawn,” JC said, adding: “If you win the veto and you pull me off, [Angela] has to put Kaycee.” But this only further turned Tyler against him because he felt like JC was putting him in an impossible spot.  At the veto competition, Kaycee continued her winning streak, and Tyler continued to worry even after she decided against using the power.  “Dammit, I hate this game sometimes, man,” Tyler said to viewers. “I gotta do what I gotta do to win, but that means I have to backstab some of the best people.” At the eviction, Sam was sent packing with a vote of 2-0, and she was surprised.  Upon exiting, she stayed classy and asked someone to deal with her belongings. In her chat with Julie, she never threw anyone under the bus, but she looked mad as hell.  Kaycee, Tyler, and JC competed in the “What The Bleep?” competition and it played out as follows: Round 1: JC & Tyler get a point  Round 2: JC gets a point  Round 3: No one gets a point Round 4: Everyone gets a point Round 5: Everyone gets a point Round 6: JC & Tyler get a point  Round 7: JC & Tyler get a point Oh yes, JC actually won a competition! Given that Tyler has been the one not keeping his word, it would make sense for him to be the target.  However, there’s still a veto to play. Will Kaycee win ANOTHER veto?  Who will go home?  We don’t have long to wait to find out because another episode airs tonight at 9/8c on CBS.  View Slideshow: Big Brother: Meet the Most Controversial Houseguests

Man Wrongfully Convicted Of Murder Advocates For Reading In Prisons

A fter spending nearly three decades behind bars for a crime that he didn’t commit, a Brooklyn native is turning the pain from his experience into something positive. John Bunn , 41, is advocating for education in prisons and launched a program that provides inmates with books, CNN reported. John Bunn was wrongfully convicted of murder as a teenager and exonerated after 27 years of fighting for his freedom. He says the power of reading saved him. Now, he's building libraries in prisons. https://t.co/Xt7iFmbIGI pic.twitter.com/zdjnFVXQaA — CNN (@CNN) September 15, 2018 In August of 1991—when Bunn was 14-years-old—police officers came to his Crown Heights apartment and took him to the 77th precinct for questioning in relation to the murder of a Rikers Island corrections officer, the news outlet writes. Although Bunn told officers that he had nothing to do with the crime, he was put in a line up with adults, wrongly identified as the individual responsible for the murder, and placed behind bars. He was charged with murder and robbery and sentenced to nine years to life. From that day on, he and his family tirelessly fought for justice. Going to prison was a tough journey for Bunn. He reportedly dealt with abusive guards who he claims attacked him because of the nature of his case. He developed depression and anxiety. Bunn struggled to communicate with his family while he was imprisoned because he was illiterate. That barrier motivated him to learn how to read and write. He started reading children’s books and dictionaries and worked with teachers to develop his skills. That experience fueled his passion for education and he then went on to get his GED in prison. Reading became an escape from his situation. “I wrote my mother one day … and I said, “They can lock my body, but they can’t trap my mind,” he told CNN. “The power of reading made me feel that way. I felt trapped without a voice for so long, but the power of reading could take my imagination, and take me to anywhere in this universe.” In May 2018—with the help of a non-profit called the Exoneration Initiative—he was exonerated. Shortly after being released from prison, Bunn launched his own non-profit called A Voice 4 The Unheard. Through the organization, he’s focusing on growing the libraries at Riker’s Island and putting literature into underserved schools. His organization has donated over 20,000 books. “There’s no greater feeling than me feeling like I’m existing for a purpose, and this is what gives my life purpose right now. Through my nightmare, I found my dream,” he said. Organization’s like Bunn’s are needed. According to the Literacy Project Foundation , three out of five people in U.S. prisons have trouble reading. Jojo Got her Fat Ass Out There of the Day

I have no idea why I am reposting this pics of Jojo’s fat ass in some underwear outfit for the perverts… But I am posting it…. I assume it has to do with Jojo being a symbol of perversion of the past and that if you have fans a decade ago that want to jerk off to you – they’ll want to still jerk off to you 10 years later…as Maitland Ward has taught us, don’t underestimate the power of being a 90s star people want to see become a porn star, where even in her 40s and sloppy she can deliver… This is not Maitland Ward…thank god…but it’s Jojo’s ass. The Real Housewives of New York Season 10 Episode 22 Recap: Bethenny Frankel vs. Carole Radziwill

It was the end of the line for Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill on The Real Housewives of New York Season 10 Episode 22 , as the two women admitted it was time to move on.  Radziwill was quick to reveal that Bethenny’s harsh comments about her in the confessionals were too hurtful to move on from.  “The season made it over for me,” she told Frankel on Wednesday’s finale. Watch The Real Housewives of New York City Season 10 Episode 22 Online “When you watch the confessional interviews, I’m seeing what you said about me. About not having a job, not having a husband…” “I didn’t understand until I watched the show and I realized I was really, really trying to salvage our friendship and you didn’t seem that interested,” Radziwill continued.  “And I only can imagine because you knew what you had said at all those confessional interviews.” “I was trying all season to come back from this,” Radziwill said of Bethenny’s comments.  “At the end, I was like, ‘Thank god we’re done with this season. Thank god we can go back. We can just regroup.’ And then I started watching the show…” All of the above suggests that Radzwill was on board for another season of the Bravo hit, but it looks like things changed once she watched the season back.  Bethenny’s comments “made me sad but also angry,” the departing cast member said. For Frankel, Radziwill was just as bad what with her blog post and Instagram live to bash Bethenny.  “The season would not have made it over,” Frankel said. “The bashing with the blogs and the bashing with a friend made it over. … It was really mean.” Bethenny continued to claim that Carole had changed and that was the reason for the dunking of their relationship.  “You’ve changed too,” Radziwill fired back. “You’ve become catty and gossipy. I didn’t change. With this being Radziwill’s final episode, she did open up about her biggest regret: Not patching things up with Frankel.  “My regret was that Bethenny and I could never get to a place where… I thought maybe by the end of the season we would be speaking and then reconnect,” Radziwill said. “Because that friendship was important to me. And that never happened.” “I wish that we had had some kind of conversation so we could have put it into context,” she added. “It was just hard. I tried. That’s my regret, that I failed.” At the top of the episode, Carole got into it with Andy. He was furious that she said he was “full of shit.”  Andy has the power to hire and fire on this franchise, so he was likely shocked at the way she spoke to him.  Carole claimed Andy was scared of Bethenny Frankel, to which he replied: “Yeah, I’m scared of her.” It was ridiculous, but the most telling moment was Andy asking Carole about her regret from the season. “Is yours telling me I’m full of shit?” he said with a serious look on his face.  Could this be the REAL reason Carole is out of the series?  As for the way this reunion concluded? Tears. Lots of tears.  Bethenny turned to look at Dorinda upon being asked what her biggest regret is, and said the following.  “My biggest regret of the season is if I did say, ‘a drunk’ — because you and I heard it the same way when we saw it on TV — but if I called you ‘a drunk,’ I regret saying that to you on television.” “Thank you, Bethenny,” Dorinda replied while crying. “That actually means a lot.” “But I will say for the record, in the moment, we both heard it: ‘You’re drunk,'” Bethenny added. “But anyway, I own what was on the show, and that’s fine, and that’s my regret.” “Um, I think — that actually means a lot to me,” Dorinda said, pointing at Bethenny.  “It’s so stupid — it’s at the end of the show,” Dorinda continued, before meeting Bethenny for a hug. “It means the world to me.” “I tried to be as compassionate as I could while I was there,” Bethenny replied. “And I saw it, and I was like, ‘Oof,’ you know? I really did.” Dorinda then admitted she could not answer, and Andy moved on to Tinsley.  She admitted that she was mad at herself for shouting “Shut your mouth and shut your f–king legs!” at Sonja.  Sonja claimed she also regretted “opening that wound” with Tinsley.  And that’s another season in the can! Trump On Colin Kaepernick Headlining Nike’s Campaign: ‘A Terrible Message!’

Here is the original post:

C olin Kaepernick stays winning. Even though the NFL tried to destroy him, he brushes the hate off his shoulder and comes out on top whether it’s a series with Ava DuVernay or becoming one of the faces of Nike’s 30th anniversary campaign of their “Just Do It” motto, which just happened yesterday. Of course Trump spoke out and he is in an orange outrage. SEE ALSO:  From Al Sharpton To Barack Obama: Here’s How Aretha Franklin Was Celebrated At Her Funeral In an interview with  The Daily Caller , Trump babbled, I think it’s a terrible message that they’re sending and the purpose of them doing it, maybe there’s a reason for them doing it. But I think as far as sending a message, I think it’s a terrible message and a message that shouldn’t be sent. There’s no reason for it.” He also issued an implicit threat, “Nike is a tenant of mine. They pay a lot of rent.” Maybe that means Nike will have to look for a new space — if this is true because we all know how Trump like to believe he owns everyone. For example, when he wrongfully said Aretha Franklin worked for him. The ad dropped on social media yesterday with a photo of Kaepernick and the text, “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”   See below: BREAKING: Nike had been paying Colin Kaepernick all along, waiting for the right moment. Patriotism: Veterans Clap Back At #NikeBoycott In Support Of Colin Kaepernick Campaign

More here:

Source: Drew Angerer / Getty Crazed Star Spangled Banner disciples will go out their way to say how much they hate Colin Kaepernick . If he puts his name on something, the American flag waving, MAGA hat wearing citizens are ready to burn it down. Just recall the moment Kaep started protesting police brutality by taking a knee during the national anthem. MAGA Twitter went OFF by burning their Colin Kaepernick jerseys on camera for all of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to see. Now folks are gathering their charcoal and lighting fluid once again thanks to a move Colin made with Nike. According to ESPN , the major shoe brand named Kaepernick as the face of their “Just Do It” campaign, which is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary as Nike’s key slogan. On Monday, Colin shared the news on social media with the message “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.” Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything. #JustDoIt pic.twitter.com/SRWkMIDdaO — Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) September 3, 2018 So of course, this had MAGA Twitter PISSED . Rubbers went aflame…. First the @NFL forces me to choose between my favorite sport and my country. I chose country. Then @Nike forces me to choose between my favorite shoes and my country. Since when did the American Flag and the National Anthem become offensive? pic.twitter.com/4CVQdTHUH4 — Sean Clancy (@sclancy79) September 3, 2018 . @Nike Due to your support of C.K. in your coming adds, I as an American can no longer support your company. #boycottNike #IStandForOurFlag pic.twitter.com/5JxSMD8SSO — AlterAtYeshiva (@alteratyeshiva) September 4, 2018 And #NikeBoycott started trending on Twitter. Some folks even got creative with their demolition… U MESSED UP @NIKE #JustDoIt pic.twitter.com/OpEBFf6qwX — Kno (@Kno) September 4, 2018 In true American fashion I just DRONE STRIKED my Nike shoes! #MAGA pic.twitter.com/0S9C6lgAkE — jordan (@JordanUhl) September 4, 2018 While others decided to go the arts and crafts route… Hey #Nike . I set my bunions free. #RemovetheSwoosh pic.twitter.com/68UuGMmIaD — Twentyoz (@Twentyoz_) September 3, 2018 One not-so-bright man even went all the way with his shoe burning… BREAKING: Local man turns hollow gesture into a trip to the hospital. Thanks Obama! #NikeBoycott pic.twitter.com/7ErswUPEOQ — Matt Lipton (@mattliptoncomic) September 4, 2018 It was quite the show watching people waste good money. Dear White America, Stop using Vets like me as your excuse for the #NikeBoycott . Stop weaponizing our service for your petty racism. If you really gave two sh*ts about my service, why do you allow me and so many other Veterans to live in poverty? — Talitha Dragonfly (@TalithaDrgnfly) September 4, 2018 As a veteran, first let me say that I served so that you have the freedom to protest Nike. Second, I served so that Kaepernick and others can #TakeAKnee . Third, please consider actually helping a veteran, and donate any of that Nike gear you plan to dispose of in protest. — George Capen #exGOP (@george_capen) September 4, 2018 I’m a Navy veteran that is the child of two marines and we all are #VeteransForKaepernick pic.twitter.com/0Fhzvi9GRp — the Revolution will Not be Televised (@SOimLikeWord) September 3, 2018 Good on @Nike for putting @Kaepernick7 in the spotlight for his sacrifices. Giving up something you love for the well being of others is a lot more American than giving false reverance to a piece of fabric. I am definitely a proud member of #VeteransForKaepernick — John (@jtckck27) September 4, 2018 Instead of burning your Nike gear bcuz u hate Kaep for dissing vets, and now u hate Nike for standing w Kaep, please send it to me and I will hand deliver them to homeless people and vets myself. #JustDolt #Kaepernick #veteransforkaepernick PM me for an address. — Dave (@bbcoach19) September 4, 2018 It seems like any paraphernalia protest that doesn’t involve fire and destruction is too advanced for the MAGA squad. According to The Wall Street Journal , Colin’s deal with Nike is set to pay him a “top of the line” multiyear deal. This might be one way Kaepernick is making money for himself, considering he remains unsigned with an NFL team. The athlete is  suing the NFL for colluding to keep him out of the league. With Colin’s new “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything” motto, Nike is hoping to reach 15 to 17 year olds, according to Nike’s vice president of brand for North America, Gino Fisanotti. He told ESPN , “We believe Colin is one of the most inspirational athletes of this generation, who has leveraged the power of sport to help move the world forward.” Not to mention, let’s not act like Nike doesn’t have a huge Black audience. So even if a mostly White community supports #NikeBoycott or if Nike’s stock has started to drop , there definitely will be a fan-base for Kaep’s “Just Do It” campaign. So for now, MAGA Twitter will have to stay mad.
