The “Luke Cage” actress confirmed that she was dating the 49-year-old popular Democrat after a TMZ reporter pressed her on Thursday. “Yes, very much so,” Dawson, 39, said while walking through Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC. When asked how the two were getting along so far, Dawson had nothing but good words about her beau. “So far, so wonderful,” she said, adding, “He’s a wonderful human being. It’s good to spend some time together when we can. We’re very busy.” She was also asked whether she was looking to get engaged to Booker, to which Dawson replied she has “no idea.” “I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much,” she said. Now remember, last month, Booker told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that he had “a boo,” though he didn’t reveal the person’s name. He did say that who is seeing was “really special” and was clear that she would make a great first lady. Clearly, we know he was talking about Ms. Dawson! But here’s where it gets tricky. As we know Dawson was a staunch Bernie Sanders supporter in the 2016 presidential election, but perhaps her vote is going to her Bae this time around. A Black business owner from Atlanta is aiming to help individuals combat poverty through entrepreneurship. Velma Trayham , the creator and CEO of the marketing agency ThinkZILLA PR & Consulting Group, has launched a new small business program to help those faced with financial setbacks start their own ventures, Black News reported. Trayham was inspired to create the Pioneer program after witnessing the impact of the recent government shutdown, the news outlet writes. After seeing people struggle to make ends meet, she was inspired to empower them and show them ways in which they can have control over their financial future by becoming entrepreneurs. Through the intensive program, participants will learn how to create everything from business models to marketing plans and other lessons needed to successfully grow a business. For Trayham it’s all about breaking the cycle of poverty. “Entrepreneurs can change the way they live and work – and inspire others to do the same. Innovations created by small businesses can improve the quality of life, creating personal success as well as create communities that are more prosperous,” she said in a statement. “When people find success doing something they love and believe in, they have the power and capacity to help others do the same. I appreciate the mentors who helped me early in my career and am dedicated to helping others find their passion in business, reduce the causes of poverty, and creating a chain effect of business support and success.” The program kicks off in Atlanta on March 30 and she plans on taking it to cities that include Washington, D.C., Houston, and Orlando. There has been an effort to support Black entrepreneurs. MVMT50 and The New Voices fund recently teamed up to host a pitch competition dubbed PITCH BLACK as an avenue to address the obstacles that Black women face when stepping into entrepreneurship, including the lack of access to capital. In case you missed it, or haven’t seen it floating around your timeline, Soulja was furious Nia wouldn’t pay him any attention and ran up on her while she laid in bed. She was clearly petrified and let out an ear-piercing scream that woke up the other couples in the house. Nia fought him off, but it’s clear it wasn’t the first time Soulja behaved that way. it was disgusting to watch and Soulja only retreated when Tammy entered their room and rescued Nia from the situation. Of course he tried to apologize the next day, with the caveat, he didn’t hit her. Well people abuse isn’t just hitting a woman, it involves intimidation, manipulation and scare tactics to exert your power. Social media is polarized over the incident. Some insinuate Nia should be able to overpower Soulja because of her size, while others recognize Soulja’s behavior continues to aggravate Nia’s history with abuse, she was raped. And surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, none of the men in the house checked Soulja on his behavior. It took another woman to stand up for her. It’s clear Nia and Soulja aren’t together right now. They were entirely too toxic for one another and both respectively have some growing to do. In the aftermath of this cheating scandal, Jordyn Woods has been blacklisted and shunned for boning Tristan . She’s lost her best friend, her home, and a chunk of her career over this. But it didn’t have to be this way. In fact, a new report reveals that, when news of this scandal first broke, Kylie defended Jordyn. Us Weekly reports that, according to their sources, Kylie wasn’t initially onboard with the plan to excise Jordyn from the family. They’re BFFs, and Kylie didn’t want to lose one of the most important people in her life because of one dude’s dong. “Kylie defended Jordyn in the beginning,” the insider reveals. And even though she eventually sided with Khloe, Kylie’s ardent defense of Jordyn made an impression. “At first,” the source shares. “The family thought Kylie would eventually take Jordyn back.” “But now they don’t think that she will,” the insider adds. “It will be very hard for Kylie to lose Jordyn because she’s her best friend,” another source explains. “She doesn’t have a lot of friends,” the insider notes. That might sound surprising, but it actually makes a lot of sense. “And honestly,” the source explains, Kylie “can’t because of her lifestyle.” Fame on Kylie’s level isn’t conducive to having crowds of close, true friends. “So,” the insider continues. “She has latched onto Jordyn.” Another source says that Jordyn has been “trying to apologize” to both Kylie and Khloe. “But,” the insider shares. “They still aren’t speaking to her.” They even revoked her clearance at the gate to Kylie’s neighborhood. This is heartbreaking. “Jordyn still loves Kylie and Khloe as family,” the source expresses. The insider reveals that “She is beyond upset to have lost them in her life right now.” “Khloe feels so betrayed,” the source characterizes. Tristan has of course cheated on Khloe before. Again, and again, and again. “This time,” the insider notes. “It hurts even more.” It hurts “because the person who it was with is someone who knows very much what Khloe has gone through in the past year.” “Jordyn,” the source explains. “Is like part of the family.” On Tuesday, February 26, Khloe addressed her fans to respond to her latest heartbreak. “Hi loves,” Khloe writes on social media. “Wanted you to know that I appreciate you!” “I’ve been reading your kind words,” she reveals. “And they really are a blessing to me.” “I love you!” she affirms. “Thank you Thank you!” “I’ll be back when I’m in the mood to chat with you all,” Khloe promises. “Until then,” she implores them. “Remember to be kind to one another.” It seems like the Kardashians have placed Jordyn in an unfortunate position. She’s like family, so they’re as upset over this as if Jordyn were Khloe’s sister, not the best friend of Khloe’s much-younger half-sister. In other words, because of how close she is, they’re taking this more seriously. At the same time, Jordyn isn’t officially part of the Kardashian family, so they also feel like she’s disposable. If the Kardashians were this willing to write off their own flesh and blood after screw-ups, Rob would have been gone a long time ago. Jordyn Woods might be starting to think she can move on from her affair with Tristan Thompson and put the whole ugly mess behind her. For obvious reasons, Jordyn does not want to lose her friendship with the woman who will soon be the world’s youngest billionaire. And so, she’s working hard to justify her actions. Two events are central to Jordyn’s version of events — it was a one-time mistake, and she was hammered. In fact, Jordyn claims she was so drunk that she doesn’t even remember hooking up with Tristan. Unfortunately for her, the Kards aren’t buying it. “Khloe doesn’t believe that it was a one-time thing, and neither do the rest of the Kardashians,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “She hired a PI to find out how long they had been having an affair,” the insider adds. “If it turns out that it was an ongoing thing, Khloe is going to use this on the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Basically, it sounds like Khloe wants to dig up enough dirt to justify banning Jordyn from the Kardashians’ inner circle for good. “As far as Jordyn goes, Khloe and Kylie have already gotten their revenge because Jordyn has been blacklisted by the entire family,” says the source. “No one wants anything to do with her, and if it turns out that she was having an ongoing affair with Tristan, there will be serious hell to pay.” Something tells us Jordyn’s not out of the woods quite yet.
