Mr. Skin’s Whack-It Bracket: The Enticing 8 [PICS]

We’ve entered into a new, nude round of competition at Mr. Skin’s Whack-It Bracket : The Enticing 8 ! The voting has been getting closer and closer as the competition gets more SKINtense, and once again, we were only half right in our predictions. Interestingly, while in earlier rounds an actresses’ nude scenes (or lack thereof) didn’t seem to matter much, in the Sexy 16 round many of our non-nude or barely-nude celebs like Kristen Bell and Sofia Vergara were defeated by their opponents with better nudity. (The lone non-nude holdout is Mila Kunis .) The people have spoken, and they want skin! So who’s going to go on to our final Foxy 4 ? We’re making our predictions after the jump!

Oscar 2012 Predictions: Best Actor

‘Descendants’ star George Clooney and ‘Artist’ actor Jean Dujardin are two of MTV News’ nominee picks. By Josh Wigler George Clooney in “The Descendants” Photo: 20th Century Fox In less than 24 hours, five actors will find themselves officially locked in on the road toward Oscar glory. The 2012 Academy Award nominations are set to be unleashed on Tuesday, and while there are certainly some expected front-runners who will be in the mix, there are always surprise nominees who make the cut. In the Best Actor category, however, things seem a bit more predictable this year. A handful of performers have found their names repeatedly honored with nominations throughout the current awards season and the trend isn’t likely to stop before Oscar night . From bureaus to baseball, from silence to sex, here are our predictions for the Academy Awards’ Best Actor nominees. George Clooney, “The Descendants” Already familiar with the taste of Oscar gold, Clooney is very likely on the cusp of another major win for his touching turn as “back-up parent” Matt King in Alexander Payne’s “The Descendants.” Clooney has been on an Academy-attracting hot streak in recent years, what with nominations for “Michael Clayton” and “Up in the Air.” Under the right circumstances, he could have easily claimed victories for either of those roles. Will he find himself in the right crowd this time around? Leonardo DiCaprio, “J. Edgar” Critics were not kind to director Clint Eastwood’s biopic about the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s polarizing founder. But DiCaprio’s performance as the titular J. Edgar Hoover is another story. The three-time Oscar nominee turned in a transformative performance as Hoover, both physically and spiritually, and is likely to be recognized with a fourth nomination, if not a win. Jean Dujardin, “The Artist” It’s said that silence is acceptance. If that’s the case, French actor Jean Dujardin could well be accepting a Best Actor award on Oscar night. As the star of director Michel Hazanavicius’ silent film “The Artist,” Dujardin proved the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words — in his case, moving pictures — as he stole the hearts of art-house moviegoers everywhere as George Valentin, a silent-movie actor facing the very real threat of falling from stardom to redundancy. Michael Fassbender, “Shame” Talk about baring it all! Fassbender truly shed every layer possible — and we do mean every layer — as sex addict Brandon Sullivan in director Steve McQueen’s “Shame.” It’s not easy for the star of an NC-17 film to cross over to the awards-season elite, but Fassbender has done exactly that, most notably with his Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. While he’s not likely to win — a true shame, if you ask us — his inclusion on Oscar night feels like the climax, if you will, of the Irish-German actor’s truly inspired 2011. Brad Pitt, “Moneyball” After the shutdown of Steven Soderbegh’s take on the material, a rewrite from Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin and the surprise hiring of Jonah Hill in his first dramatic role, “Moneyball” surprised everybody by simply existing. Unsurprising is the fantastic performance from Pitt, one of our most gifted (and gorgeous) actors. Pitt has yet to bring an Oscar home, despite numerous nominations over the years. His Billy Beane might be the most understated of all the characters likely to enter the Best Actor field this year, but true to the Oakland A’s general manager’s philosophy, it’s not always a grand slam that gets you the win. Maino Predicts He’ll Be In Katy Perry, Rihanna Love Triangle

‘I’m gonna be like a different person’ in 2012, rapper jokes to Sway on ‘RapFix Live.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Maino on ‘RapFix Live’ Photo: Natasha Chandel/ MTV News With 2011 out of the door and the New Year upon us, Maino is looking forward to the coming 12 months. Every year since 2009, the Brooklyn MC has released a predictions-themed song. On his “2011 Predictions” Main successfully guessed that Lindsay Lohan would have relapsing bouts with alcohol and that the Throne would sell over a million records. On Wednesday’s “RapFix Live,” Maino dropped some major 2012 predictions. “I got a couple,” the rapper admitted when Sway asked him what reveals he had for the next 12 months. “Forget what you heard, Obama’s gonna win.” That wasn’t all, however. “This is the year you gonna see a transformation for me. I’m gonna be like a different person. I’m gonna get caught up in a love triangle,” Maino said, pausing before adding, “with Rihanna and Katy Perry.” Maino’s playful prediction may seem far-fetched, but with the news that Perry’s hubby Russell Brand has filed for divorce , the pop star is back on the market. As far as Rihanna, the Bajan beauty revealed to Ellen DeGeneres in a November 2011 interview that she is very single . So from a logistical standpoint anything is possible — we guess. That wasn’t all. Maino, who has stood as one of rap’s top street artists, says he is about to undergo an artistic change as well. “I’m leaving rap. I’m leaving hip-hop. I’m gonna become an R&B artist. I’ma be the artist formerly known as Maino, but my new name is gonna be Jaguar Paw,” he joked. “These is my predictions.” What do you think of Maino’s predictions for 2012? Tell us in the comments! Lil Wayne ‘Glad’ Tha Carter IV Leaked

Billboard reports C4 on pace to sell between 850,000 and 900,000 copies after album leaks five days early. By Rob Markman, with additional reporting by Jim Cantiello Lil Wayne Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images In this digital age, album leaks are an accepted part of the music industry. So when Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV was illegally pushed onto the Internet five days before its official drop, the Young Money honcho wasn’t worried in the least. “We did real good this time, real good,” Wayne told MTV News correspondent Jim Cantiello after his show-closing performance at the VMAs in L.A. on Sunday. “It just means people want to hear it,” he said. “I mean, ’cause there’re people’s albums that come out that can be leaked and don’t leak, so I’m glad mines leaked.” Hear Weezy talk about having a “moment” with his show-closing VMA set! After Jay-Z and Kanye West avoided a leak with their Watch the Throne album, many wondered if Wayne could do the same. But the YMCMB camp insists they aren’t too concerned about how the leak may affect album sales. Via his Twitter account, Cash Money CEO Birdman has been promoting Weezy’s album for the past week, even going so far as to predict that C4 would sell a million copies in its first week, just like Wayne’s Tha Carter III in 2008. On Monday, he wrote , “C4.BMJR.#Dont Lie 1m. 1week They Know.” “I think we should still do well,” Mack Maine told MTV News on Sunday. “The leak shouldn’t have affected it that much. Actually, this is the first time that the albums leaked so close [to the release date]. Tha Carter III leaked two weeks before and we still did [1 million] the first week. So if history repeats itself, we shouldn’t have any problems.” On Tuesday, after a full day of sales, Billboard reported that Tha Carter IV was on pace to sell anywhere between 850,000 and 900,000 copies in its first week. Meanwhile, HITS Daily Double estimated on Friday (September 2) that Wayne could move upwards of 975,000 copies, inching him that much closer to a milli. I’ve had a lot of supermodels on the site over the years and I always seem to be at the forefront of predicting which ones will become huge, at least I like to think so. Anyhow, here is my predictions for the next big supermodel. Lily Aldridge may not be as busty as Kate Upton or as exotic as Adriana Lima , but the woman has that classic supermodel look about her that everybody absolutely loves. Did I mention she’s got a killer body and looks amazing in her underwear. Uh… Ya.
