The Voice host Carson Daly and his girlfriend, food blogger Siri Pinter, welcomed a baby daughter, Etta Jones, on Thursday evening just after 5 p.m. Etta joins the couple’s three-year-old son Jack. “Tonight at 5:15 pm we welcomed the latest addition to our family. Etta Jones Daly weighs 8 lbs and is beautiful! Mom was a rockstar, Jackson James is a proud big bro, and dad’s drinking a cold one. Praise God,” Carson wrote on Facebook. The NBC star was able to be by Siri Pinter ‘s side by the end of her pregnancy, since Season 3 of The Voice (premiering next week) had been pre-taped. “I’m glad The Voice is done shooting right now … it will give me a minute to breathe. Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi recently welcomed her first child, son Lorenzo Dominic LaValle. Now you can meet him on the cover of People ! After more than 24 hours of labor, Snooki gave birth to Lorenzo August 26. Fortunately, she and fiance Jionni LaValle say that choosing a name was easier. “We were going back and forth, and I just happened to think of Lorenzo,” says Jionni, inspired by a child he knew from his hometown. “She loved it.” The little guy’s middle name, Dominic, is in memory of Polizzi’s uncle (her father’s brother), who passed away. “I did it for my dad,” 24-year-old Snooki says. Through it all, the future Mr. and Mrs. Jionni LaValle seem elated and content. The couple can’t say enough about their new baby, and their new life. With Jersey Shore canceled after this coming season, she’ll have plenty of time for it. “It’s a different kind of love that I never felt before,” she says. “When I got pregnant, everything changed. Mom-to-be Adele is flaunting her pregnancy … and denying she’s secretly married. The 24-year-old Grammy-winner stepped out with boyfriend Simon Konecki in London on Tuesday wearing a long, tight black dress that showed off her baby bump. Adele wore flats for her walk and a long blue sweater with her soon-to-be baby daddy, a nonprofit CEO, in tow. Simon, 38, got Adele pregnant earlier this year. The “Someone Like You” singer confirmed in July she is expecting her first child with Konecki, who is already a father to a daughter with ex-wife Clary Fisher. She also confirmed that she is NOT engaged or married to Simon Konecki . Rumors swirled last week that the couple of nine months had secretly gotten engaged and/or hitched, but Adele Tweeted, “I’m not married … Zzzzzzz.” So there you go. Still, wedding bells may be on the horizon at some point. Todd Akin made this weekend , and the President did not disappoint. “The views expressed were offensive. Rape is rape. And the idea that we should be parsing and qualifying and slicing what types of rape we are talking about doesn’t make sense to the American people and certainly doesn’t make sense to me. So what I think these comments do underscore is why we shouldn’t have a bunch of politicians, a majority of whom are men, making health care decisions on behalf of women.” Well Damn. Gonorrhea Is Now Resistant To Its Last Remaining Cure If you needed any more convincing, here’s another reason you just have to wrap it up. The sexually transmitted disease, gonorrhea, colloquially known as “the clap,” may soon have no drugs left to treat the infection. Lab studies are showing an increasing resistance to the type of drugs that doctors use to treat gonorrhea, called cephalosporins. That leaves only a few options, which are not as effective. “Cephalosporin-resistant gonorrhea could potentially mean untreatable gonorrhea,” says Dr. Gail Bolan, director of the Division of STD Prevention at the CDC. “Untreatable gonorrhea is a real possibility.” Gonorrhea has already become resistant to every other class of drug used to treat it. For that reason, the CDC is urging doctors to immediately change their practice and begin treating with an injectable cephalosporin and adding one of two oral medications — azithromycin or doxycycline. Certain patients will need to return to the doctor in a week for a repeat test to ensure the medications worked. Any partners in the 60 days prior to diagnosis should be treated as soon as possible. Gonorrhea is transmitted through sexual contact with the penis, vagina, mouth or anus of an infected partner, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ejaculation does not have to occur to pass the disease. It can also spread from a mother to her child during childbirth. Over 300,000 cases are reported each year, and it’s estimated that the number is closer to 700,000, since many people go undiagnosed or untreated, and continue to pass it on. Untreated, gonorrhea has major implications for women, causing infertility, ectopic pregnancy — a life-threatening condition where the pregnancy is outside of the uterus — and a deeper infection that spreads into the uterus, fallopian tubes and the pelvis. The former “The Hills” reality star gave birth to her first child early Wednesday morning, and the proud new mama immediately took to Twitter to share her happy baby news. “We are thrilled to welcome Camden Jack Cutler into the world,” she wrote. “He was born this morning weighing 7lbs 9oz.
