It may take eons before we get a peek at Blue Ivy Carter, but actress Nia Long is proudly showing off her own bundle of joy. The proud mama was spotted in Los Angeles yesterday, looking fit and trim, with her adorable son, Kez Sunday Udoka. Long gave birth to Kez last November, and in interviews admitted that while the pregnancy was unplanned, was the “sweetest surprise ever.” Kez’s father (and Nia’s current boo) is NBA player Ime Udoka. Beyonce gave birth to a beautiful baby girl yesterday. Seriously, it happened. This isn’t just a Twitter rumor. Ivy Blue Carter was born in New York City via c-section. Aww. Beyonce famously announced her pregnancy on stage at MTV’s Video Music Awards back in August, and since then, fan anticipation for the baby has grown by the day. Proud dad Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was at the hospital where Beyonce gave birth to Ivy . Shortly thereafter, congratulations came pouring in. Rihanna wrote, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.” Russell Simmons Tweeted simply, “Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.” SO much so that Twitter even tried to name the baby girl Tiana May Carter last month. We think they picked out a nicer name themselves in Ivy Blue. Agree? NOTE: Conflicting reports, including from MSNBC and E!, say the name is actually Blue Ivy Carter. Rebecca Gayheart and Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane have welcomed their second child together, another girl they’ve named Georgia Geraldine! Gayheart, 40, and Dane, 39, have been married since 2004, and are already parents to daughter Billie Beatrice, who was born in March 2010. “Rebecca Gayheart and husband Eric Dane welcomed Georgia Geraldine Dane on Dec. 28, just in time for the New Year!” the pair’s rep says . “Both mom and baby girl are happy and healthy, Billie is thrilled to be a big sister, and dad is getting ready to live in a house full of ladies!” In August, an expectant Rebecca Gayheart shared with People some details about going through what was a more relaxed second pregnancy. “What’s made it different is that I’m very focused on Billie … so I’m not very focused on [the pregnancy]. I’m not as neurotic,” the actress said. By James Montgomery Lily Aldridge and Caleb Followill Photo: Getty Images Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill and his wife, model Lily Aldridge, are expecting their first child, a spokesperson for the band confirmed to MTV News on Thursday (December 29). “We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first child together,” the couple said in a statement. “We can’t wait to meet the new addition to our family.” The official confirmation comes one day after E! Online cited a source that said Aldridge was “approximately three months along” in her pregnancy. The two were married in May, at a ceremony held at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California after dating for more than two years. “It was the perfect day,” Followill said of the event. The announcement of the couple’s first child puts a happy cap on what was, by all accounts, a rather interesting year for the Kings, who came into 2011 riding their Come Around Sundown album, feuded with “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy (who would subsequently apologize for calling the band “self-centered a–holes”) and released a well-received documentary, “Talihina Sky.” In the summer, after a much-publicized incident at a Dallas concert in which Followill claimed to suffer “heat exhaustion,” the band scrapped the remainder of their U.S. tour in support of Sundown , before returning to the road in September for a run of Canadian shows.
