Monyetta Shaw gave birth Monday, singer’s rep confirms. By Jocelyn Vena Ne-Yo Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/ WireImage Just a month after announcing he and his girlfriend, Monyetta Shaw, were expecting their second child together, a rep for Ne-Yo confirmed to People.com that the pair welcomed a child Monday. Further details about the baby were not available, but Ne-Yo has always been open about his love of being a dad. “[My daughter] definitely knows her worth, which is a beautiful thing. That’s something I’ve tried to instill in her from day one: understand that you are a Godsend,” Ne-Yo said of the values he’s teaching his kids. “You’re an absolute angel, and people are supposed to treat you that way. She’s extremely diva even at 10 months.” When news first broke about the pregnancy, it was reported that Ne-Yo and Shaw, who own an Atlanta boutique together, also had plans to marry. He later dismissed the rumor on Twitter: “Ok twit fam. To put all rumors to rest. Not engaged but am expecting second child,” Ne-Yo tweeted. “Mo has no rep. The person claiming to be her rep lied. Thanx for the interest in my personal. Know that the day that I DO decide to take that step you will hear it from the horse’s mouth. Much love.” Ne-Yo (born Shaffer Chimere Smith) welcomed his first child, daughter Madilyn Grace, back in November 2010 and was ecstatic about becoming a father. “Feels like I’m in luv for the first time,” he tweeted at the time. “Welcoming that lil’ girl to the world last night defined for me what ‘willing to kill and die for’ truly means. Gina Gershon admits it takes a lot to disturb her. But there’s one scene in her new, nude movie Killer Joe that nearly pushed her over the edge, and it (sk)involves an unlikely culprit: fried chicken. Late in the film, there’s a scene when psycho stalker Matthew McConaughey forces Gina to fellate a fried chicken leg he dangles in front of his crotch. It just sounds bizarre, but the final scene is actually quite terrifying: “I’ve never been in a movie where I had a hard time watching the scene … I actually turned away, which I’ve never done. And in my movies, I’ve done some crazy stuff, but this is the craziest!” Gina told New York magazine after Killer Joe ‘s Toronto premiere. “It’s one of those things where you’re like, ‘Let’s just go for it and do it’ and in one take, you’re done, you know?…It’s the only project I’ve actually ever been nervous about or scared thinking I can’t go there…Luckily, I like chicken a lot!” In fact, Gina’s saving grace when filming the scene was that the chicken came from her favorite restaurant, Coop’s: “There are many chicken places in New Orleans, and I said it had to be Coop’s. It’s just really good chicken! And luckily, we just did it one take — you know, me and Matthew, we’re professionals — but I had thought, If we’re going to be doing this take after take after take, I better like the chicken. It’s just the right texture, the right seasoning, not too greasy.” So there you go, folks- the fastest way to Gina Gershon ‘s heart is through fried chicken. That’s the definitive stance of the late rapper’s family, which vows it will sue anyone who attempts to distribute the footage of Pac getting serviced at a party.
