We truly cannot understand 50′s motivation sometimes. For example, yesterday, he sold his Twitter followers a serious pipe dream. 50 Cent caused a mob scene at a party for “Scream 4″ Tuesday night when he tweeted that his fans should join him at the shindig. The rap icon had hit up his Twitter account that afternoon saying, “Come party with me following the premiere of Scream 4 at Mister H tonight in NY.” About 40 fans showed up at the club inside the Mondrian Soho ready to party — but they couldn’t get past the velvet rope at the swanky subterranean hideaway. Fitty himself showed up hours late to the fete. For what, 50? For what?? SMH. Source

Clip’s on-air debut at 7:53 p.m. ET Thursday will be followed by live ‘MTV First’ interview with Perry on MTV.com. By Kara Warner Katy Perry in her “E.T.” video Photo: Capitol The Thursday night premiere of Katy Perry’s “E.T.” video with Kanye West on MTV and MTV.com is getting closer and closer. Until then, a 60-second teaser of the futuristic, otherworldly clip should tide fans over. The sneak peek shows Perry floating and spinning somewhere in outer space, decked out in an ethereal and dazzling-white ensemble. She looks like an angelic alien princess, complete with brightly colored makeup and cat-eye contact lenses. The footage of Perry singing is cut with what looks like footage from “Animal Planet” or National Geographic, showing big cats hunting game. The remaining 30 seconds show Perry exploring the desolate terrain in an unknown land. She is wearing another highly complex and stylized outfit, a long silky train billowing in the wind. This time, she looks part femme fatale, part warrior goddess, with a little Lara Croft from “Tomb Raider” thrown in. Perry approaches what looks like a broken robot, wiping dust from its eyes. She is then shown reaching down to place her hand over the device’s heart, which lights up at her touch. At this point it’s safe to say that this is Perry’s most complex, stylized and out-there video production yet. The new clip premieres online at noon Thursday on MTV.com, VH1.com and LogoTV.com. Then, “MTV First: Katy Perry’s ‘E.T.’ ” will bow on air at 7:53 p.m. ET before tossing to an MTV.com live stream, featuring MTV News correspondent Sway’s exclusive chat with Perry, an interview with director Floria Sigismondi and reaction from Perry’s fans. Clip’s on-air debut at 7:53 p.m. ET will be followed by live ‘MTV First’ interview with Perry on MTV.com. By MTV News staff Katy Perry Photo: MTV News When Katy Perry’s “E.T.” video , featuring Kanye West, premieres on MTV and MTV.com on Thursday, fans should expect a decidedly cinematic experience. “With Teenage Dream, the record in whole, I knew I wanted to give so many different flavors, so many different ideas, and just make a different ‘movie’ for each song,” Perry told MTV News of her latest album, which has already spawned clips for “California Gurls,” “Firework” and the title track. “I feel like I’ve done that.” The “E.T.” video will premiere at noon Thursday on MTV.com, VH1.com and LogoTV.com. Perry has noticed a shift in public opinion about her with the release of each Teenage Dream video, and she’s thinking “E.T.” will be no exception. “It’s interesting to see a lot of the commentary that goes along with growth,” she marveled. “People are like, ‘OK, I like her,’ finally, or like, ‘Damn, I hate to admit it, but we’re on the Katy Perry train,’ which is really exciting, and i feel like I worked really hard for that. “I knew starting with ‘I Kissed a Girl’ that it might have taken a little bit longer to get everybody just onboard the Katy Perry train, I guess,” she added. “But now, I’m having so much fun and I get to be so creative and try different things and expand, and I never play it safe — in any way, really.” Don’t miss the premiere of Katy Perry’s “E.T.” video, featuring Kanye West, at 7:53 p.m. ET Thursday on MTV, followed by our live “MTV First” interview with Katy Perry on MTV.com! Talk show host Wendy Williams is being sued by a concert promoter who claims her conduct at a paid appearance “was best described as … ungrateful.” According to the lawsuit, Williams was supposed to make a two-hour appearance at The Pool at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., but peaced out early. The suit claims Williams, who was also supposed to take the mic on state but did not, “disappointed fans who came out expecting her to host the party.” SO ungrateful.
