Elsewhere In The World: Thousands Gather To Violently Protest The U.S. Embassy In Response To “Innocence Of Muslims”, Obama Effigy Burned!

This thing is gettin’ super ugly… Muslim People In Islamabad Gather To Protest “Innocence Of Muslims” According to the BBC/UK Demonstrators who gathered outside the US embassy in Islamabad to protest against an amateur video mocking Islam have begun to disperse peacefully. The Pakistani authorities had earlier called on the army as police struggled to contain the crowd of thousands with tear gas and live rounds. Some protesters had said they would not leave the diplomatic enclave until the US embassy was on fire. Protests over the film, Innocence of Muslims, have claimed several lives. It was made in the US and is said to insult the Prophet Muhammad. Streets leading to the enclave, where most of the embassies are housed, were earlier blocked off by shipping containers in an effort to increase security. Police had no control of the situation as angry protesters burned President Obama in effigy as people threw missles and other objects at authorites. One protester in particular was heard saying: “The infidel who produced the movie should be hanged, or hand over him to the Muslims. And we don’t want any (US) diplomat or embassy in Pakistan: all relations should be cut off.” Despite all the ire, the BBC correspondent says the protest appeared to end without incident. The BBC’s Aleem Maqbool in Islamabad, who did not see any evidence of the army at the scene, said the protest was “turned out like a light”. He said it was amazing, given the strength of feeling at the the protest earlier, that the crowd left as peacefully as it did. He says the area is still shrouded in tear gas. The Pakistani government has issued a national holiday for people to protest in peace, but how long will that “peace” really last when people are so angry??? Image via AP

Stay Scheming: Ex-Democratic President Jimmy Carter’s Grandson Helped Leak Money Mitt Romney’s Secret “47%” Fundraiser Video

There is poetic justice in this world… Former president Jimmy Carter’s grandson helped leak video of Mitt Romney at a private fundraiser to Mother Jones Magazine and has set of a fire storm for the Presidential hopeful: James Carter IV helped connect Mother Jones reporter David Corn with video of Romney at a fundraiser saying, among other things, that it is not his “job” to win over the 47 percent of voters committed to President Obama, because they are “dependent on government” and he will “never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.” “Any time that you can find a clip that strengthens the narrative already established, that’s what becomes a big deal,” Carter told Daily Intel. “I’ve been trying to get paid for this but it hasn’t worked out yet. This might help.” Carter told NBC News that after he sent the Mother Jones article to his grandfather, the former president responded warmly, writing: “James: This is extraordinary. Congratulations! Papa.” Carter also told NBC that Romney’s criticism of his grandfather bothered him, providing extra motivation to release the videos. “It gets under my skin — mostly the weakness on the foreign policy stuff,” Carter said. “I just think it’s ridiculous. I don’t like criticism of my family.” After years of Carter bashing at the hands of Mitt Romney, the grandson finally takes his revenge. You know what they say, revenge is a dish best served cold and via Youtube! Source

All Hail King Bey: President Obama Says “Beyoncé Couldn’t Be A Better Role Model For Sasha And Malia!”

Uh, how about their mom? Isn’t she a great role model too? President Barack Obama is giving Beyoncé a lot of responsibility — namely the duty of giving his kids someone great to look up to. President Obama Says He And Jay-Z Are Both Have Daughters And Are Less Famous Than Their Wives According to US Weekly reports : Beyonce and Jay-Z proudly hosted a fundraiser for President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign Tuesday night in NYC. The couple held the event at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club, and tickets cost $40,000 per head. “I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama,” Beyonce, 30, said while introducing Obama, 51. “We believe in his vision.” After taking the stage, Obama joked that wife First Lady Michelle Obama and their girls Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, were “mad at me because they aren’t here.” “To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship,” Obama told his hosts. “Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls.” Obama also joked that he and 42-year-old rapper Jay-Z — who welcomed his first child, daughter Blue Ivy, in January 2012 — have a lot in common. “We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are,” he said. “So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard but it’s okay.” We know Obama probably appreciated BeyBey and Camel helping him raise $4 milli towards his campaign last night but … sometimes we think he needs to get off that Hollyweird isht. Bey is great and all but Chelly-O is the real deal Holyfield! WENN/GSIMedia

[LISTEN] Resident Evil Beauty Milla Jovovich Doesn’t Just Kick Zombie Ass − She Rocks The Mic, Too

If  late NWA member Eazy-E doesn’t already have his angel wings — you know, the ones that have remote-controlled Uzis grafted onto the feathers — he earned them on Friday. That’s when Resident Evil franchise star Milla Jovovich appeared on Los Angeles public radio station KCRW’s Guest DJ Project and rapped some of lyrics to the hip-hop artist’s “Nobody Move” by way of explaining how the track helped her break free of her strict upbringing and, as we all know, become the badass beauty she is today. Check out her performance after the jump. Jovovich included “Nobody Move” on her Guest DJ Project set list, explaining that the song “definitely changed my world. In a great way, actually, because I had been raised by a very strict Eastern European family and this was sort of my call for freedom.”  Jovovich explained that at 9 years old, she was already working “and my mom always had so much control, and pretty much through Eazy-E, and that kind of like freedom, that I found to wear baggy jeans and big t-shirts and baseball caps and just act like ‘yeah, whatever.’” Here’s a recording of her rap performance: Jovovich turns out to have excellent taste in music too:  She included Orchestra Baobab’s “Dee Moo Woor” and the Cocteau Twins “Blue Bell Knoll” among on her set list as well. Clint Eastwood Says He’d ‘Say Something Else’ If He Could Have RNC Re-Do

Making his first press appearance since that headline-grabbing Republican National Convention speech , Clint Eastwood laughed off his rambling, off-the-cuff missive to an invisible Obama. “It didn’t get the response I wanted,” joked the 82 year-old actor and filmmaker at a press conference for his upcoming baseball flick Trouble With The Curve , “because I was hoping they’d nominate me.” Eastwood’s been around the block long enough in the film (and politics) game to acquit himself well with charming self-deprecation. But as the line of questioning briefly veered from his turn as an aging MLB scout to his now-infamous rambling RNC appearance (which he discussed with hometown paper The Carmel Pine Cone the other week ), audible groans seemed to come from the direction of the publicists in the room. Unperturbed, Eastwood explained what he’d been trying to convey when he improvised an exchange with an empty chair on the RNC stage: “My only message was [that] I wanted people to take the idolizing factor out of every contestant out there. Just look at the work, look at the background, and then make a judgment on that. I was just trying to say that, and did it in kind of a roundabout way which took a lot more time, I suppose, than they would have liked.” A journalist asked if Eastwood would give the same speech if he could go back and do it all over again. “I’d probably say something else,” Eastwood admitted, “but I’d try to get the same message across so that people don’t have to kiss up to politicians. No matter what party they’re in, you should evaluate their work and make your judgments accordingly. That’s the way to do it in life and every other subject, but sometimes in America we get gaga, we look at the wrong values.” Then again, the former Mayor of Carmel, CA did make up his speech up on the spot just minutes before taking the stage. It might be hard not to do things differently. “I thought of that five seconds before we started,” he smiled. “You walk there [in front of] an audience of ten thousand people who are extremely enthusiastic and your mind goes blank, anyway. So I’d say something else.” Stay tuned for more on Trouble With The Curve , in theaters September 21. Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

Ho Sit Down: Money Mitt Gets Heckled During Speech!! [Video]

Mitt Robney keeps pissin’ people off! One day after criticizing President Obama in the hours following the announcement of the deaths of four U.S. diplomats, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney softened his tone on Thursday, and focused on grieving. “I know that we’ve had heavy hearts across America today, and I want you to know things are going to get a lot better. But I also recognize that we’re in mourning. We’ve lost four of our diplomats across the world. We’re thinking about their families and those that they’ve left behind,” Romney said, at the beginning of a rally with roughly 2,700 supporters here in Northern Virginia. Then, as Romney continued to lament the loss of U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, and the three others killed in Benghazi, a heckler distracted him. “What a tragedy, to lose such a wonderful, wonderful, uh,” Romney said, as the heckler began to yell, “Why are you politicizing Libya?” Romney continued, “wonderful people that have been so wonderful.” The crowd chanted the heckler down, and then Romney made a decision that if he held a moment of silence, it would be disrupted by the protester. “And so I would offer a moment of silence but one gentleman doesn’t want to be silent so we’re going to keep on going,” Romney said. Romney’s comments came one day after he leveled a blistering critique at the president just hours after Stevens’ death was announced. It was an apparent acknowledgment by Romney that he may have struck an off-note on Wednesday, when he talking briefly about mourning the Americans’ deaths but spent most of his time blasting Obama’s approach to foreign relations. The vid speaks for itself…that he could turn such a somber moment into an Obama bashing free-for-all just proves he’s got nothing to stand on! SMH Source Images via WENN/Youtube
