Hank Williams Jr. on President Obama: We’ve Got a Muslim President and We Hate Him!

Ah, Hank Williams Jr. Guy really needs to join fellow musicians Ted Nugent and Dave Mustaine on a Anti-Obama Conspiracy Tour 2012. The sound bites would be incredible. At his concert Friday night at the Iowa State Fair – where Obama bought beers earlier in the week – Williams absolutely laid into the President on stage. What did he say, exactly? Following Williams’ song “We Don’t Apologize For America” a chant of “U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A” broke out amongst the crowd, according to the Des Moines Register . Hank told the crowd he was their mouthpiece, and said, “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the US and we hate him!” The cheers that followed were loud and enthusiastic. A hard-line Republican, Williams was fired by ESPN last fall after dropped after he made similarly offensive comments about President Obama last year. Amazingly, Hank’s belief that Barack is Muslim (he’s Christian) is only the second most absurd thing we’ve heard a musician say about him this week. Did you guys know Obama staged the Aurora shooting ?!? [Photos: WENN.com]

Four More Beers: President Obama Grabs Some Buds at Iowa State Fair

With V.P. nominee Paul Ryan energizing the Republican base and Joe Biden trying to rile up … well, everybody, President Obama campaigned for reelection at the Iowa State Fair yesterday, making his case to voters the old-fashioned way: Giving away free beers at the Budweiser tent. Barack actually yelled to the crowd, “Hey, everybody who’s over 21, you gotta buy a beer!” Obama then bought 12 – two for himself, 10 for people in line behind him. Obama’s appearance was a poorly-kept secret, drawing thousands of fans, and creating security nightmares at the Hawkeye State’s popular annual event. But come on, a free beer from the Prez? Totally worth it. Watch a couple of videos of his visit after the jump … Obama at Iowa State Fair

Mitt Romney Introduces Paul Ryan as "The Next President of the United States"

Mitt Romney picked Paul Ryan for Vice President this morning, and apparently thinks very highly of him, as Paul received a promotion within five minutes! Okay, not really, but in introducing the Wisconsin Congressman and rising GOP star to a Norfolk, Va., crowd, Romney finished his remarks with a gaffe: “Join me in welcoming the next President of the United States, Paul Ryan!”

What The Hell? Tea Party Extremist Claims There Is Evidence That President Obama Is On The Downlow

Tea Party Extremist Claims President Obama Was Once Married To A Man As the election nears, the “NoBama” bunch is going pretty hard with the smear tactics . This week, it’s the good ol Tea Party claiming that President Obama was once married to his college roommate……who was a man. Jerome Corsi, Tea Party activist and author, now asserts that president Obama is bisexual and was once married to man. Corsi, a birther, who authored The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, claims he has compelling evidence that supports his theory that Obama was once married to his Pakistani roommate. Corsi does not indicate whether Obama was married to Imad Husain, Obama’s freshman roommate at Occidental, Mohammed Hasan, or Wahid Hamid, the two other Pakistani men who were once roommates of the president. Corsi has published photos of the president on 1776nation.com where, according to Corsi, it appears the president is wearing a wedding band. He also asserts that there was long-running joke among the president’s classmates at Harvard regarding the mysterious ring and why Obama wore it. Now this is just ridiculous.  We wouldn’t be surprised if Michelle “Nutcase” Bachman was behind this….SMH. Source

Ted Nugent: Obama Represents Everything Wrong With Humanity, Mitt Romney Everything Good

Love him or loathe him, Ted Nugent will never sugar coat his views. As such, it’s only a matter of time until he makes more headlines because of them. Actually, compared to some of his recent tirades against President Barack Obama – encouraging fans to chop heads off , etc. – this one isn’t that bad. Nugent was as extreme and unfiltered as ever when asked about the 2012 election in a recent interview. How does he size up the presidential race? With President Obama and Mitt Romney running tied or close to it in most polls, Ted sees the contrast as one that could not be more polarizing: “On important issues, I am saddened to admit that Obama represents everything bad about humanity and Romney pretty much all that is good.” “It is really that stark.” Nugent, of course, raised eyebrows earlier this year when he said that “if you can’t go home and get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration, I don’t even know what you’re made of.” Safe to say he’s voting for Mitt in November. President Obama: Anne Hathaway Was The Best Part Of The Dark Knight Rises

Yesterday at a $35,800-per-ticket fundraiser at the Westport, Connecticut home of Harvey Weinstein, President Obama big upped fellow dinner guest/event co-host Anne Hathaway while pretty much nailing his critique of The Dark Knight Rises : “She’s spectacular,” POTUS enthused. “I got a chance to see Batman, and she was the best thing in it. That’s just my personal opinion.” Ours too, Mr. President. Ours, too. According to a pool report, President Obama also praised Aaron Sorkin (“[he] writes the way every Democrat in Washington wished they spoke”) while Weinstein paid him his own Hollywood-themed compliment, calling Obama “the Paul Newman of American presidents.” The President was expected to raise $2.5 million between the Weinstein-hosted event and an appearance in Stamford, CT earlier in the day. No word on what he thought of all those pesky plot holes . [ Deadline ]

Out Of Pocket: Comedian D.L. Hughley Says President Obama’s Intellectual Steez Keeps Him Disconnected From The Black Community-”He’s Closer To Being A White Kid”

Some C-list struggle quotes from D.L. Hughley… Comedian D.L. Hughley Criticizes President Obama C-list comedian D.L. Hughley spoke out on how he really feels about President Obama in a recent interview with SiriusXM Radio. He says that the President is too calm and intellectual when responding to criticism. In a recent interview on SiriusXM Radio with Ron Bennington, comedian D.L. Hughley mocked how Obama responds to criticism. He argues that Obama’s intellectual responses make him “closer to being a white kid.” Hughley also added thinks that Obama needs to show more passion. Mediaite reports: In an interview with SiriusXM Satellite Radio’s Ron Bennington, comedian and former CNN host D.L. Hughley criticized President Barack Obama for not showing enough passion. Hughley said that Obama tends to respond to criticism intellectually and is “closer to being a white kid” in that respect. However, Hughley says that Obama’s calm demeanor also results in a lack of enthusiasm from the public in the election. Hughley appeared on Bennington’s interview program, Unmasked, to promote his new book, I Want You to Shut The F**k Up: How the Audacity of Dopes is Ruining America. So because he doesn’t act a fool in the face of scrutiny, he’s not black enough? D.L. must reeeaaallly need some more people to buy this book… Do you agree with him? Source

Mitt Romney ‘Wimp’ Newsweek Cover: On Point or Over the Line?

Newsweek, which raised more than a few eyebrows this year for its covers proclaiming President Obama the first gay president and for calling his critics dumb, is out with yet another controversial political cover story. This time, they call Mitt Romney a “wimp” in no uncertain terms. “Romney is the genuine article: a true wimp,” Michael Tomasky argues in his cover story, adding that “In some respects, he’s more weenie than wimp.” “Socially inept; often awkwardly ingratiating, at times mocking those ‘below’ him, but almost always getting the situation a little wrong, and never in a sympathetic way.” Romney said the story didn’t bother him though, telling CBS News that “They tried that on George Herbert Walker Bush; he was a pretty great President.” Mitt’s right, as seen in the 1987 issue pictured below (along with a couple of awesome spoofs we saw on the Romney issue for good measure). Calling Romney a wimp is probably a little much, but the cover and story underscore what a lot of his critics say makes him a weak candidate. Namely, that he’s a paper-pushing corporate technocrat devoid of personality and unable to relate to regular people, and who has no core beliefs. His supporters will vocally dispute this and laud his achievements and positive traits, of course … while others may accept it and vote for him anyway. What do you think: Is Mitt Romney a wimp?

Melanie Amaro Releases Debut Single: What Do You Think?

It’s been nearly eight months since Melanie Amaro walked away with the inaugural X Factor title in America, but the talented singer has only first come out with her debut single this week. It’s titled “Don’t Fail Me Now,” it’s written by Livvi Franc (who is responsible for hits by such artists as Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson) and it’s a message to Amaro’s hoofers, as these sample lyrics prove: “I’ve paid my dues, I’ve paid the price, I’ve prayed for you almost every night. I’ve walked the longest road, so don’t fail me now, feet don’t fail me now.” Give it a listen and then weigh in:

Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte Square Off For Gold: Who Won?

After teaming up for a pair of medal-winning relay swims this week, Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte squared off today in the 200-meter individual medley final. The Americans were co-favorites, with Phelps having owned the event in the last two Olympics, but Lochte annihilating the field in the 400-meter IM this year. Not surprisingly, one took gold and one silver today … but who won? Michael Phelps ! The most-decorated Olympian ever took home the gold in 1:54.27, just 0.27 off the world record and 0.04 off the Olympic record. Ryan Lochte won the silver medal, 0.63 back. Hungary’s Laszlo Cseh fell away through three legs but earned the bronze. Brazil’s Thiago Pereira was actually second after the breaststroke leg. The medal was Phelps’ 16th gold and record 20th overall, while Lochte reached double digits in career medals, earning #10 with the silver. He probably won’t hear from President Obama this time, but Michael Phelps’ mom was definitely psyched as he continues to cement his legacy Way to go, both of you guys! U-S-A! U-S-A!
