Trump Calls Colin Kaepernick A ‘Son Of A B****’ During Alabama Speech

See original here:

P resident Donald Trump made reckless remarks—as per usual—about NFL players while speaking before a crowd in Huntsville, Alabama on Friday, reports BuzzFeed News . Trump's comments were apparently in reference to former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick https://t.co/0L11ZMm0c2 — BuzzFeed News (@BuzzFeedNews) September 23, 2017 While delivering remarks at a campaign event for Sen. Luther Strange , he seemed to call out NFL free agent  Colin Kaepernick over the powerful decision to kneel during American flag ceremonies last year in efforts to bring awareness to social injustices. During the event, Trump asked the crowd if they would “love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘get that son of a bitch off the field right now.’” He also added that if an NFL coach were to take that type of action, they would become “the most popular person in this country.” Trump says kneeling during the National Anthem is a blatant form of disrespect and that those who choose to do so should be fired. Kaepernick isn’t the only person in the realm of sports who Trump has come after. Nearly two weeks ago, the White House demanded that ESPN fire sports journalist Jemele Hill , after she called Trump a “White supremacist” in a series of tweets. After word spread about Trump’s remarks on Friday, several NFL players and activists took to Twitter to let him know that his comments were uncalled for and that he could have a football stadium full of seats. Trump stay in ur place… football have nothing to do wit u smh — Zach Brown (@ZachBrown_55) September 23, 2017 The very moment Trump calls Black NFL players “son of a bitch” and yells that they should be fired. Absolutely disgusting. pic.twitter.com/i8nXlZVcLp — Shaun King (@ShaunKing) September 23, 2017 Imagine if the President condemned the KKK or Russia hacking elections like he does Black people asking for equality. — Marcus H. Johnson (@marcushjohnson) September 23, 2017 There is no acceptable way for black people to protest in this country. You can't block a street. You can't kneel at a football game. — Jesse Berney (@jesseberney) September 23, 2017 Trump’s NFL fiasco comes after NBA star Steph Curry declined an invite to the White House; bucking the tradition of NBA champions meeting the president. Johnny Depp Apologizes for Donald Trump Death Threat

Johnny Depp owes many people an apology: Amber Heard. His accountant. Anyone who has purchased a ticket to any of his movies in the last five years. But there’s one person to whom Depp has finally been forced to issue a mea culpa, following quite a you-know-what storm created by the actor on Thursday night after he did THIS: Johnny Depp Sort of Threatens Life of Donald Trump Yes, that’s a video of Johnny Depp threatening the life of Donald Trump . Appearing at the Glastonbury Film Festival yesterday, Depp told the crowd that the “press” would likely get a hold of what he was about to say, but… screw it! He was gonna go ahead and say it anyway. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? Depp stupidly asked. The distasteful, borderline illegal remark prompted Depp to be roasted over the Twitter coals (below), while it also elicited a reaction from the White House . “President Trump has condemned violence in all forms and it’s sad that others like Johnny Depp have not followed his lead,” the Trump administration said in a statement this afternoon, adding: “I hope that some of Mr. Depp’s colleagues will speak out against this type of rhetoric as strongly as they would if his comments were directed to a democrat elected official.” It’s hard to disagree with any point made here. With the backlash mounting, Depp came out on Friday and said he was sorry.  “I apologize for the bad joke I attempted last night in poor taste about President Trump,” the actor told People . “It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. “I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone.” It was pretty clear that Depp regretted the remark as soon as he uttered it. “I want to clarify, I’m not an actor. I lie for a living,” Depp said in an attempt to backtrack, just moments after making his quasi threat last night. But new information has surfaced that makes it clear Depp can’t really be all that sorry. It also makes it clear that Depp may have disdain for Trump, but he’s also had disdain for the office of the President for a very long time now. TMZ has unearthed photos that depict Depp standing in front of the White House and raising his middle finger. There’s also a photo of him picking his nose in the press room, along with tales of how disrespectful he acted in general during a trip to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in January of 1988. On hand for a ceremony for the fight against AIDS hosted by President and Nancy Reagan, the then-21 Jump Street star flipped off cameras and made rude gestures during a private White House tour. He reportedly angered the Secret Service when he lit up a cigarette in the Rose Garden at one point and then dared to do so again in the Blue Room. When the time for him to stand in receiving line and meet the President came, agents told Depp he could not participate because he had shown disrespect. We somehow doubt he cared at the time, however. View Slideshow: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Reviews: Savage! Hilarious! It’s therefore official we guess: Pirates of the Caribbean Season 5 was only the second worst thing Johnny Depp has ever done. What a schmuck.

Cirque Du Trump: Pumpkin Bisque POTUS Fires FBI Director James Comey

Trump Fires James Comey As FBI Director In Wake Of Clinton E-Mail Mistake The the low-budget soap opera that has become the United States of America continues to present plot twist after plot twist. After effusively praising FBI director James Comey for bringing down the hammer on Hillary Clinton during the election, orange Fanta POTUS has decided that he no longer needs him. Like so many Apprentice contestants, and several folks on the executive staff, Trump fired James Comey today with this statement read by Sean Spicer: Today, President Donald J. Trump informed FBI Director James Comey that he has been terminated and removed from office. President Trump acted based on the clear recommendations of both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The FBI is one of our Nation’s most cherished and respected institutions and today will mark a new beginning for our crown jewel of law enforcement,” said President Trump. A search for a new permanent FBI Director will begin immediately. Comey came under fire yesterday when the FBI released a statement rebutting the idea that Hillary Clinton’s aide, Huma Abedin, had forwarded “hundreds of thousands of emails” to her then-freak-a-leek husband, Anthony Weiner. According to ThinkProgress , the Bureau’s statement clarified that only “a small number” of emails were accidentally forwarded to Weiner. Then comes the fact that despite Trump’s best effort to purport innocence, Comey confirmed that the FBI was indeed investigating Trump for his alleged collusion with Vladimir Putin and the Russians to interfere with our election. Sounds like anyone who thinks Trump might be a shady, dirtbag, scumbucket, is going to get the Ned Stark treatment (spoiler alert) OFF WITH HIS (or HER) HEAD! Who’s President mans is this?!? SMFH: The Cheeto In Chief Thinks Funding HBCUs Might Be ‘Unconstitutional’

Because of course… President Trump Suggests That Funding HBCUs Is Unconstitutional Remember that really silly photo op of the HBCU Presidents meeting with Donald Trump ( and aged avocado Kellyanne Conway ) in the White House to discuss HBCU funding? Well if you had any doubt at all that it meant absolutely nothing, then here’s your proof. The Washington Post is reporting that YOUR Crusty Cheeto Head Commander In Chief is wondering if funding a program that helps historically black colleges and universities get loans for construction violates the constitution. Rut roh… “The White House released a signing statement connected to the recently approved federal funding measure. Tucked away in the last paragraph, the White House announced that it would treat a program that helps HBCUs get low-cost construction loans “in a manner consistent with the (Constitutional) requirement to afford equal protection of the laws.” People in higher education circles worried that the statement meant that the president was planning to get rid of a capital financing program that helps historically black colleges repair, renovate and build new facilities. Congress approved the program in 1992 after finding that “HBCUs often face significant challenges in accessing traditional funding resources at reasonable rates,” according to the Education Department. SMH. The United Negro College Fund is who initially noticed Trump’s wording about HBCUs, but according to them they’re not worried—-yet anyway. “We’re not overly alarmed at this point, based on informal reassurances and just our own knowledge of how these funding statement get put together,” Cheryl L. Smith, UNCF senior vice president of public policy and government affairs, told The Washington Post. We sincerely hope Trump doesn’t make any policy changes that affect our beloved HBCUs. It’s clear he and his constituents don’t value them. AP Photo/ Evan Vucci
