The Chicago native visited Ellen and the two went through an excerpt in her book where she describes her first kiss with a guy named Ronell (pronounced Rah-nell in the words of Michelle — “that’s the Black Ronell”). Michelle was already leading the way in 8th grade, having arranged the first kiss outside her house. She then goes on to describe her very first kiss in early childhood and she recalls a hilarious memory of her daughter’s prom night in the clip below. This wasn’t the only shenanigans Michelle got into with Ellen. The two also took a trip to Costco for her book signing and of course, Ellen made the experience as wild as it could possibly be. T he police always deny that they have a racial double standard, but an experiment at a Tennessee mall tells a different story. See Also: Cops Defend Unconstitutional Stop And Frisk Tactics As HBCU President Says He Was Racially Profiled A social media post from four white women on Saturday exposed the Memphis Police and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for racially profiling a group of African-American men, CBS News reported. This all stems from a video recorded by a former journalist that showed mall security and law enforcement officials stopping four young Black men for wearing hoodies at Wolfchase Galleria in Cordova on Nov. 3. They were escorted out of the mall with at least one of them in handcuffs. The women said they wore hoodies in the same mall without any incident. Racial profiling is a problem nationwide for Black people, but seldom is there any justice for violations. Recourse options are often limited, even when evidence suggests that discrimination occurred. Memphis residents unfortunately lack a functioning police oversight board to address their grievances in this case, Nashville activist Theeda Murphy told NewsOne. “There’s no way to do an independent investigation. In the aftermath of the mall incident, Memphis’ Black community is pushing to have the oversight board fully functioning,” said Murphy, who was involved in the successful effort on Election Day to pass an amendment to create a Community Oversight Board in Nashville that oversees the police. “If a security guard spotted us with our hoods up, they very politely asked us to take them down. One guard said it was because they need to be able to identify everybody’s faces. So we said, ‘Sure,’ took them down, walked on, and put the hoods back up a bit later. Repeat. No threats. Point made,” the Facebook post said. Here’s what happened to the Black men: Kevin McKenzie was inside the Wolfchase Galleria Mall in Memphis when he filmed a security guard at the mall detain a black teen for violating the mall’s dress code policy because he wore a hoodie. When McKenzie inquired further he too was detained. This is outrageous. pic.twitter.com/w0voiu8bth — Simar (@sahluwal) November 14, 2018 “At least a couple of those officers were Black, which shows you that it’s not a Black and white thing but a systemic thing,” Murphy said. “There’s an issue with policing and how officers are trained, how officers see who is a threat and who isn’t. It doesn’t matter if the officers are Black or white because they all get the same training.” SEE ALSO: Andrew Gillum Fires Back At Wannabe Dictator Donald Trump Stacey Abrams Campaign Files Federal Lawsuit For Every Vote To Be Counted [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3836445″ overlay=”true”]
T allahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum shot down President Donald Trump ’s election fraud claim and his call to name GOP candidate Ron DeSantis the winner of Florida’s gubernatorial race. SEE ALSO: Black America ‘Did The Thing’ With High Voter Turnout On Election Day Gillum rallied supporters Monday night at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in Boynton Beach, Florida, saying that Trump and current Republican Gov. Rick Scott are trying to rush the recount process, WPEC-TV reported. “If we don’t swear in a new governor until January, what is the rush for you? Count every vote,” Gillum said. “They’re claiming voter fraud because supervisors of elections are counting votes.” That statement was in response to Trump’s tweet on Monday morning. The president stated, “The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged. An honest vote count is no longer possible-ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!” Rick Scott is using every stunt within his power to suppress the vote. Keep fighting, Andrew Gillum! https://t.co/PVSZ72RJrv — NewsOne (@newsone) November 12, 2018 Gillum continues his fight to become Florida’s first African-American governor in a race that was too close to call. Unofficial results showed that DeSantis led Gillum by 0.41 percent, ABC News reported. Under Florida law, election officials ordered a machine recount on Saturday because the vote margin was less than 0.5 percent. All 67 counties face a state-ordered deadline of Thursday to finish their recounts. Meanwhile, Gillum isn’t alone in calling out Trump. Circuit Chief Judge Jack Tuter declared on Monday that there’s no evidence of voter fraud in the recount. However, Gillum told his audience that there were voter suppression issues during the election, as well as some irregularities . In one instance, a heavily Republican district allowed 150 voters to scan and email their ballots, which violated state law. “Regardless of what the outcome of what this race is, we want every single vote in all 67 counties — Republican, Democrat or otherwise — that every single vote be counted,” he said. Ice Cube doesn't actually mention Donald Trump by name in his new song. But the track is called “Arrest The President.” And the lyrics are a not-so-subtle jab at Trump, and strongly suggest that his days in office are numbered. Ice Cube's lyrics, to be clear, do not call for any violence against Donald Trump or his administration. Rather, “Arrest The President” calls for exactly that — the arrest of POTUS. “Let’s meet at the White House, run in and turn the lights out, they treat it like a trap house,” Ice Cube suggests. “Arrest the president… You got the evidence,” he sings. He makes no secret of why Trump deserves to be arrested. “That n—- is Russian intelligence,” the lyrics accuse. “Did you know the new white was orange?” Ice Cube quips during the song. He then accuses: “Boy, you're showing your horns.” This is a reference to Trump's behavior, from his overt racism to his heartless policies, being something Ice Cube would expect from a devil. “Who you elected is so septic,” Ice Cube says, putting Trump's voters themselves on blast. He also takes aim at Trump's habit of stating provable lies as if they were fact. “So full of s–t,” Ice Cube says. “I can't accept it.” Ice Cube has made his thoughts on Trump clear since before the election. In August of 2017, an absurd rumor was going around suggesting that Ice Cube had endorsed Trump's candidacy. The rapper took to Twitter to make certain that no one could believe this absurd rumor. “I will never endorse a mothaf–ka like Donald Trump!” Ice Cube clarified. “EVER!!!” Some would remain silent on such rumors, hoping to avoid controversy by speaking out one way or the other. Ice Cube did not want anyone mistaking him for a Trump supporter. Ice Cube is hardly alone. When Snoop Dogg peppered his art with references to Trump's death , he faced backlash from Trump's fans. He also faced hand-wringing from people who dislike Trump but are, frankly, huge weenies who worry about optics more than anything else. ice Cube did not backstab Snoop, and instead voiced his support. “Freedom of speech,” he cited in defense of his friend and his friend's controversial music and imagery. Notably, Ice Cube's lyrics “play it safe” in a way unlikely to earn him a visit from Secret Service. Ice Cube may have produced this song simply to vent about the hellish nightmare-world that we all occupy. More cynically, perhaps he just wanted some cash and some good press from people who hate Trump as much as he does. It's also possible that he is hoping that this song will one day be immortalized in one or more films documenting the rise and fall of Donald Trump. You know, if Johnny Cash's “When The Man Comes Around” doesn't quite fit a scene, maybe “Arrest The President” will. It's sure to be a little on the nose — but there have been other, very spot-on songs that have been used years or even decades later in films about the events they describe. That said, Trump has not yet been arrested. Right now, Ice Cube's song is premature. That said, there are murmurings that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is expected to make some sort of move this week. This comes just days after Ice Cube's song dropped. That said, a lot of people let wishful thinking cloud their judgment. They may get their hopes up and then feel disappointed. It's always possible that Trump will resign, or pass away of natural causes in office, or even last the rest of his 4-year term. Ice Cube's song, though it may give hope to many, may never come true. We'll all find out together.

My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong.” About 260,000 residents in Los Angeles County and Ventura County have been forced to flee their homes due to the fires, which have already burned down over 80,000 acres. A s NewsOne reported yesterday, Brian Kemp ‘s campaign claimed he won the governor race of Florida. However, the Associated Press , NBC and CNN did not call the race. Stacey Abrams ‘ campaign has now spoken out. See Also: Bill Cosby Sentenced To 3 To 10 Years In Prison For Sexual Assault Conviction According to CNN, the Abrams campaign said, “Our opponent has had his office declare himself the victor and we do not accept that.” They continued, “They are trying to force an outcome … without proof … and expecting everyone to go along with it.” Cody Hall, the Kemp campaign’s press secretary, stated earlier, “Based on counts released by the Secretary of State’s office, Brian Kemp’s margin is so large that the number of provisional ballots and overseas ballots will not change his Election Day victory. Simply put, it is mathematically impossible for Stacey Abrams to win or force a run-off election.” Brian Kemp is also the secretary of state of Georgia, which means he is supervising his own election. Kemp has been sued repeatedly for voter suppression and even former President Jimmy Carter called on him to resign from his position as secretary of state. Late Tuesday night Abrams said, “I’m here tonight to tell that votes remain to be counted. There are voices that are waiting to be heard. Across our states, folks are opening up the dreams of voters and absentee ballots and we believe our chance for a stronger Georgia is just within reach but we cannot seize it until all voices are heard. I promise you tonight we are going to make sure that every vote is counted. In a civilized nation the machinery of democracy should work everywhere.” See below: Stacey Abrams: “We believe our chance for a stronger Georgia is just within reach but we cannot seize it until all voices are heard and I promise you tonight we are going to make sure that every vote is counted” pic.twitter.com/YeyAWJ5pUG — Edward Hardy (@EdwardTHardy) November 7, 2018 SEE ALSO: All The Ways Cops Are Still Trying To Cover Up LaQuan McDonald’s Execution Outrageous! Donald Trump hopped deep into his emotions while dealing with a CNN reporter during Wednesday’s White House press conference. While the President was attempting to dismiss reporter Jim Acosta, the guy refused to sit down and hush up, held on to the mic when an intern attempted to snatch it, and got that last question off. Needless to say, Trump wasn’t feeling it. He went in on Acosta, accusing him of being a terrible person and treating people horribly. Next thing you know, Jim Acosta gets his White House credentials pulled. While according to TMZ , CNN believes it’s due to Trump having to face tough questions he wasn’t in the mood for, Sarah Huckabee Sanders swears it’s because Acosta “put his hands” on a female White House staffer (the microphone girl) in an aggressive manner: https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1060333176252448768 https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1060333619728801792 https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1060374680991883265 Acosta definitely pushed her arm away, but…it seems the White House is dragging this, a bit.
