Source: Steve Sands / Getty This Halloween month, an idea was planted in people’s heads that struck terror in their hearts… Trump having access to their phones. The talk came about when it was announced that a “presidential alert” would be sent to American phones on Wednesday around 2:18 p.m. E.T. The joint test by FEMA and the FCC is meant to check the existing emergency alert system (EAS) and the wireless emergency alerts (WEA), according to CNBC . Most people should be familiar with WEA messages. They usually come to your phone to warn you about severe weather in the area. Sometimes an WEA AMBER alert will sound off on your phone too if a child is missing. The presidential alert this Wednesday is simply a test and it won’t come from Donald Trump directly. However, in the future, it could come from Trump if there’s a national emergency. Hence, the paranoia. On Wednesday, the test people should have received said, “THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. Kanye West Turns In Struggle ‘SNL’ Performance, Drops Pro-Trump Rant

Source: NBC / Getty Kanye West appeared to be returning to his old self after announcing a move back to his hometown of Chicago and preparing a new album for the masses. As a last-minute replacement musical act for SNL ‘s 44th season opener, West turned in a performance many folks are criticizing while also rocking a MAGA hat and delivering a rant supporting President Donald Trump. New York Post reports : West, wearing a red “Make American Great Again” hat and the show’s cast standing behind him, launched into the screed off camera, but it was caught on video by comedian Chris Rock. “I wanna cry right now, black man in America, supposed to keep what you’re feeling inside right now,” he sang as he paced the stage. He continued: “The blacks want always Democrats you know it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan.” Then he turned to his support of Trump. “There’s so many times I talk to like a white person about this and they say, ‘How could you like Trump? He’s racist.’ Well, if I was concerned about racism I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.” West performed a bizarre “I Love It” set with Lil Pump, and “We Got Love” with Teyana Taylor before attempting to rock “Ghost Town” when SNL producers cut his set short. Party Mom Arrested After Leaving 4-Year-Old Home Alone All Night

The world is full of terrible parents, but only a few stories are so outrageous that they get circulated around the globe. Like the  dad who stuffed his son into the trunk of his car , this woman’s story is grabbing people’s attention in the worst way. This “party mom” left her  4-year-old child  home alone for hours so that she could go out and party all night. Alexandra Ciliento is 29 years old and has a 4-year-old daughter. They live in Scottsdale, Arizona. Authorities say that she left the house at 11pm on Saturday, leaving her young daughter home alone. While Ciliento was gone, her daughter managed to escape the home. What could have ended in tragedy — well, a greater tragedy than this kind of neglect and endangerment — was averted because the girl had the presence of mind to go to a neighbor’s. The neighbor waited for a full 45 minutes, perhaps hoping that Ciliento had just stepped out and would return. Then, the neighbor called the police. Police were unable to reach Ciliento until after 8am the following morning, which makes it sounds as though Ciliento was partying until after dawn. Ciliento admitted to police that she left her apartment and that she did not try to get a babysitter for her 4-year-old. According to court documents, she “was not aware that her child could open a locked door and leave the residence.” Ciliento normally shares custody with the child’s father. At present, the child is with him, and Ciliento has been instructed that she is to have no contact with her daughter for the time being. She is being charged with one count of child abuse. Ciliento reportedly works as a pilates instructor and fitness trainer. “Always do what makes you happy and be kind to others,” she says in her gym profile. “For everyone is fighting some kind of battle ” She also says that, as a child, she wanted to grow up to be President of the United States. (There are seemingly no qualifications for that job anymore except for the age limit, so who knows?) The judge appointed a public defender as Ciliento’s attorney to represent her. Obviously, a huge factor in why this particular story has gone viral is that it reminds so many people of Casey Anthony. Ciliento, thankfully, did not murder her daughter. And there have been no reports of her binding or drugging her, either. But leaving a 4-year-old alone for 9 or more hours is a huge risk. Ciliento is a grown adult — she was born in 1988 . She should know this. It is difficult to imagine what sort of excuse she might use to try to justify this. It is almost impossible to imagine any defense being well-received by anyone. Student Safety In Question After Nooses Were Found On Alabama College Campus

T here are some concerns about the safety of Black students at the University of South Alabama after nooses were discovered Tuesday (September 25) hanging from a tree on campus. See Also: Michigan State University Has A Strange Response To A Racist Student The university released a statement on Wednesday notifying the college community that the campus police identified the student responsible for the incident. “A University of South Alabama student has been interimly suspended and banned from campus, pending a formal hearing, after confessing to an incident discovered last night outside the campus dining hall. USA Police have determined the student acted alone in hanging a bicycle and two nooses in a tree,” the statement said. Free counseling was offered to students, but it’s unclear what steps the university will take to ensure student safety. The local NAACP chapter noted in its statement that Mobile, where the campus is located, was the site of the last documented Ku Klux Klan lynching. “This is a rare and isolated incident, and from a safety standpoint the student responsible has been suspended and barred from campus until a formal disciplinary hearing can be held,” the university’s spokesman Bob Lowry told NewsOne . Prior to the president’s statement, the Mobile County chapter of the NAACP criticized the university for not immediately addressing the situation. “This is a circumstance that many of us feel needs immediate attention considering America’s history and Mobile’s history,” a statement from Jordan Harris , president of the chapter, said. Harris pointed out that members of the KKK were responsible for hanging 19-year-old Michael Donald in 1981 from a tree in Mobile. A cafeteria worker was also fired after posting an offensive tweet from the university’s dining hall account. “The rope outside of the caf last night was just a sign that our food is KILLER! Come get some fried chicken and tell us any different,” the tweet said. The worker was an employee of Aramark, which manages the dining facility, the university stated. She doesn’t want to hear anyone try and do another version of “I Wanna Be Down.” Latifah would like to see a reboot of “ Living Single ” especially with the original cast, Headkrack also mentioned he would love that because the show is such a classic. A Salt Lake Tribune poll in June found that Love had just a six-point lead over McAdams. The congresswoman was fighting for her political life while embroiled in a campaign finance scandal . Love was in hot water with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) over her team improperly raising more than a million dollars for a primary election that was never expected to happen. During the Fox interview, Love lashed out about the political ads against her. “They want to just do character assassination, and I’m telling you what Brian, I’m not going to allow them to do that,” she told host Brian Kilmeade . “This is absolutely — it’s below me. … This is something that’s happening not just to me, but around the country. This is the way that they’re trying to win. Here’s What Could Happen To Trump If He Fires Rod Rosenstein

D eputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein ’s job was in jeopardy Monday, as he awaits a meeting with President Donald Trump  that could end with the White House in deeper turmoil. See Also: Here’s Everyone Charged In The Trump Russia Investigation Rosenstein will remain in his post for now and meet with Trump on Thursday, the Washington Post reported. The number-two person at the U.S. Justice Department, who’s overseeing the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, was expected earlier on Monday to be removed from his post, according to USA Today . Trump, who has long sought to fire Rosenstein over special counsel Robert Mueller ’s Russia probe, could set off a series of events that ends in his impeachment if he decides to fire the deputy attorney general, USA Today note. Rod J. Rosenstein to stay in job, will meet with Trump on Thursday, White House says https://t.co/ZmfCXTPy8B — Washington Post (@washingtonpost) September 24, 2018 This all stems from an explosive New York Times report on Friday, which said Rosenstein, in 2017, had suggested wearing a wire while meeting with the president to possibly invoking the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which spells out the procedures for removing a president who’s unfit for office. Rosenstein denied the claims from anonymous sources in Times’ report. His suggestion to wear a wire reportedly came in the aftermath of the chaos from Trump’s controversial decision to fire FBI Director James Comey , who was leading the Russian collusion investigation. After Trump dismissed Comey in May 2017, Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel in charge of the Russia investigation. The removal of Comey was seen as possible obstruction of justice evidence against Trump. The deputy attorney general began overseeing Mueller’s probe because Trump’s former political ally, Attorney General Jeff Sessions , recused himself in 2017 from the case. Rosenstein has defender Mueller every time the president has hinted at firing the special counsel. Removing Rosenstein has been viewed by many as a first step to replacing him with someone who will follow the president’s wishes to end the Mueller investigation. But there could be political fallout from replacing Rosenstein. Even some Republicans have urged the president not to make that move, especially ahead of the midterm elections. It would be seen by many voters as the president’s attempt to end the Russia probe and lead to calls from the left and right for his impeachment. If Trump does fire Rosenstein, Solicitor General Noel Francisco would assume oversight of the Russia investigation, according to the Times. Francisco was a partner at Jones Day in 2016. The law firm represented the president’s 2016 campaign. Consequently, there could be a conflict of interest if Francisco oversees the Russia probe.
