It’s been a rather risque week for Kendall Jenner. Kendall wore a crop top to church on Easter Sunday, leading many to speculate that the 19-year-old has forgotten how to dress for events that aren’t runway shows. Yesterday, the inappropriate streak continued when Kylie Jenner put her hand down Kendall’s pants in a bizarre Snapchat video. As expected, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul announced this morning that he will seek the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 2016. “I am running for president to return our country to the principles of liberty and limited government,” Paul, 52, wrote on his official campaign website. Running to “restore liberty and prosperity for ourselves and for future generations,” he is scheduled to declare his candidacy at a rally in Louisville, Kentucky. Before entering the world of politics with a Senate victory in 2010, Rand Paul owned his own ophthalmology practice and performed eye surgery for 18 years. He is the first U.S. Senate member to serve while a parent – his father, three-time presidential candidate Ron Paul – served in the House of Representatives. The younger Paul has served on the Health Education, Labor and Pensions, Homeland Security and Government Affairs and Small Business Committees. He also formed the Senate Tea Party Caucus and has been one of the higher-profile members of the GOP since arriving in D.C. a little over four years ago. Rand’s announcement comes on the heels of Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential bid , announced on behalf of the Republican Party last month. Former Florida governor Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who are leading early public opinion polls, are also expected to get in the race. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is expected to announce his bid on April 13, while New Jersey Gov. Racist Ferguson Emails The racist emails that caused Ferguson police officials and a city clerk to either lose their jobs or resign have been released. In them, they callously make racist remarks about President Obama and people on welfare. The Washington Post reports: The e-mails, released to The Washington Post in response to a public-records request, were sent and received by Mary Ann Twitty, who was Ferguson’s court clerk, as well as former Ferguson police captain Rick Henke and former police sergeant William Mudd. All three were removed from their jobs after the Department of Justice discovered the e-mails, which prompted an internal investigation by city officials. The e-mails — all sent between 2008 and 2011 — are primarily e-mail forwards containing insensitive and offensive jokes. One of the e-mails, sent by Twitty to both men as well as a third recipient with the subject line “Insensitive One Liners,” included the lines: “There’s a new Muslim clothing shop that opened in our shopping center, but they threw me out after I asked if I could look at some of the bomber jackets.” In a message dated Tuesday, April 19, 2011, Twitty forwarded a message titled “Very Rare Photo” that included an image of former president Ronald Reagan feeding a baby monkey. Beneath the photo is the caption: “Rare photo of Ronald Reagan babysitting Barack Obama in early 1962.” Another e-mail Twitty sent both men on March 1, 2010, included a short story titled “Leroy’s last child support payment.” In an e-mail that Mudd forwarded to Twitty — which she then forwarded to others — in May 2011, the body of the message declares: “A black woman in New Orleans was admitted into the hospital [for] pregnancy termination. Two weeks later she received a check for $5,000. She phoned the hospital to ask who it was from. The hospital said, ‘Crimestoppers.’” Another, sent by Mudd on June 7, 2011, included a photo of two dogs and compared them to welfare recipients. In an e-mail written Nov. 14, 2008, Henke wrote to a recipient whose identity was redacted in the records, that “we shouldn’t worry about him being president for very long because what black man holds a steady job for four years.” SMH good riddance to these people and Chief Thomas Jackson too!

The cover story focuses largely on Serena’s friendship with tennis rival Caroline Wozniacki but also touches on her relationship with her sister and how she pushed herself to be more forgiving and return to Indian Wells tournament after being boo’ed. It is a testament to her grit that Serena won on that difficult day, but she spent the next several hours weeping in the locker room. “Say whatever you want about me and Venus,” Williams would later write in her autobiography, “at the end of the day we were just a couple of kids, trying to do our best.” Injuries come and go, but that wound refused to heal. Every year, officials at the tournament begged her to come back. Every year, she said no. Even a new owner, billionaire Larry Ellison, and his multimillion-dollar makeover of the tournament—there’s now a Nobu—did not sway her. Then, about a year and a half ago, Williams spent Christmas vacation reading Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom. His account of his struggles caused her to reflect on how she was walking through her own life. “That’s when I realized I had to go back,” she says. “I always talk about forgiveness, but I needed to actually show it.
