Ben Carson May Run As Independent If GOP Refuses To Have A Fair Presidential Nomination Ben Carson might decide to go for dolo to become the POTUS… According to the Huffington Post U.S. Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson may consider an independent bid for the White House, angry over a report on Republican Party maneuvering involving this summer’s national nominating convention, U.S. media reported on Friday. Carson was angry over a Washington Post report that Republican leaders were preparing for a brokered convention to pick their 2016 White House candidate. “If it is correct, every voter who is standing for change must know they are being betrayed. I won’t stand for it,” Carson said in statement, Politico and CNN reported. If the report was accurate, he said, “I assure you Donald Trump won’t be the only one leaving the party.” Be gone then, sucka. Ain’t nobody gonna vote for him any damn way. Image via Channel 4
More positivity from this prestigious HBCU … Morehouse President Announces #BlackLivesMatter Presidential Dialogue The President of Morehouse College is making national headlines for announcing a #BlackLivesMatter Presidential Dialogue. During the monthly discussion Dr. John Silvanus Wilson Jr. will meet with students to discuss topics including violence against black people and LGBTQA issues. Via Morehouse.edu: Morehouse President Dr. John Silvanus Wilson Jr. has established a monthly discussion group, the #BlackLivesMatter Presidential Dialogue, in response to student activism on the Atlanta University Center Campus. The president will be joined by students and faculty members from Morehouse, Spelman and Clark Atlanta University to talk about issues ranging from sexual assault across campuses, to violence against black people, to a more responsible embrace of the College’s LGBTQA students. “Simply, the design of the dialogue is to have an institutional space for activist talk and action where at the conclusion of each meeting, there will be a tangible action item employed that will demonstrate our community’s understanding of Black Lives Matter issues and needed solutions,’’ Wilson said. “At Morehouse, we want to get this right,” he told students during a discussion held at the Davidson House Center for Excellence, the president’s official residence. That initial discussion was the catalyst for the monthly dialogue, which officially begins in January 2016 and will continue to be hosted at the Davidson House. Hats off to Dr. Wilson for facilitating this discussion for not only the men of Morehouse but also other AUC students. What do YOU think about the Black Lives Matter dialogue at Morehouse???

Chelsea Clinton is all for Kanye West running for President. Kind of. Sort of. Okay, this is more accurate: Chelsea Clinton is all for Kanye West saying he’s running for President. View Slideshow: Kanye West Memes Support 2020 Presidential Bid The rapper stunned viewers at the MTV Video Music Awards late last month when, upon accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Kanye told the crowd : “It’s about ideas, bro, new ideas. People with ideas, people who believe in truth. “And yes, as you could have guessed by this moment, I have decided, in 2020, to run for President.” West was (probably) kidding, but the Internet reacted with meme-based enthusiasm (above), while the daughter of the Democratic front-runner in 2016 actually sees something positive in Kanye’s announcment. “I definitely think who runs for office is really important,” Chelsea told MTV News over the weekend, adding: “Even if him just saying that helps sparks a little boy or a little girl who was watching the VMAs to think, ‘Oh, wow! Maybe I should do that,’ that’s awesome.” Since West’s proclamation, Ice Cube has expressed support for Kanye’s 2020 run and Donald Trump said he hopes “to run against” West sooner rather than later. Of course, that would mean that Trump wins the Oval Office next year, which is a more frightening prospect than President Kanye would be. Would Chelsea cast a vote for West in a few years? “I think it depends on who he’d be running against,” she replied diplomatically. View Slideshow: Kanye West VMAs Speech: The Yeeziest Moments!
